A chic museum, I advise everyone to go, it will be interesting. Unique collections ! Tickets are expensive, but worth it!
Beautiful and up to expectations! Not very big so an hour is sufficient and well organized. There are audio guides and in each of the 8 rooms there are explanatory "flyers" of the hall in 6 languages including Italian
Well worth a look . The eggs are truly amazing , so is the building in witch they are keep.
Good exposure. It is better to take an audio guide, the exposure is extensive, there are no usual plates on the exhibits. Pay attention to the exhibition hall. A few pictures, but they work very well, the general darkness and lighting reinforce the impression.
Magnificent museum not to be missed if you are visiting Saint Petersburg. Choox of the visit, guided or not or with guide agenda.
Souvenir shop with fair prices.
Beautiful museum, very informative and concise excursion, not tiring. Everything went in one breath. Buying tickets online passes the time, during peak hours, the queue can be long, and it's cold outside (as it was during the May 2019 holidays).

Visited with a stroller with a one-year-old child. There is an elevator. All conditions for a stroller. They thought we were being disgraced, that they were in a museum with a carapace, but it seemed that the staff was more embarrassed than we were. The exposition was stunning. Particularly impressed by the hall with paintings. Illumination was a hell of a lot, combined with muted light. The feeling of jewelry masterpieces is enhanced if you listen or read their history. To whom were predestined, where and how the war, revolution, how the owners changed ...
Nicely decorated illuminations in the hall where the exhibitions are held. Polite staff Pictures look great. I highly recommend the exhibition of Frida Kahlo.
Chance to see the wonderful artefacts.Good cafe, must see when in town.
There is something to see ... everything is well arranged, about audio guides ask for more details, in order to get more detailed information about a particular exhibit, you need to press the room number, pause and nm number of the showcase, for example 7 (room) >> 57
Beauty! Similar can be seen only in the treasures of the Hermitage and the Kremlin.
You can not take an audio guide - in the hall are books in Russian and English.
A beautiful museum, interesting, but the halls are not very much. Ticket 450 rubles, for students discounts.
Worth a look around. Not a massive exhibit but well organized.
The museum leaves an indelible impression !!! Very beautiful rooms, exhibits and paintings. One of the best spent hours in St. Petersburg
By exhibits and expositions - everything is chic. 2 points - for organization. A solid museum, but when you get into the hall and turn to the exhibits, you see huge collections and not a single annotation! The exhibits are only numbered and there are images on the windows that inform that information about the exhibits can be obtained from the audio guide (paid) and from some mysterious brochure (but where to get it ?! and how much does it cost? Any information on this issue missing). After walking half the museum, he noticed the visitors with a book in his hand. It was that mysterious brochure with information on all the exhibits! I asked one of the visitors, where one can find one and how he found out about it. The young man said that he accidentally found a brochure in a white box in the hall, showing curiosity and looking into it! Incidentally, Carl! We paid money for the tickets, but neither the museum staff nor any informational signage informs us that one of the key elements of the exposition inspection is in fucking white boxes in the halls! Moreover, on these boxes there are inscriptions, after seeing which, visitors can at least assume that there is something for visitors, not only Russian speakers! But these boxes are prudently installed with inscriptions to the wall! Neither the information storage of the museum, nor the employees correspond to the presented expositions. Paying tribute to the authors of the brochure (almost every exhibit is described), it should be noted that the descriptions are rather meager.
It was a unique experience offering great insight into the mystique that surrounds the manufacture of these unique masterpieces of elegance and engineering, for the Russian aristocracy.. A must for those who know and would like to know more about them. The museum itself is very beautiful, easy to go through, and offers a nice shop and an excellent cafe/bistrot.
Good security but not 100%. Locker for your bag and coats do help, good information inside (books inside )
Wonderful, rich in detail.
Worth the visit when you go to Germany.
Only beautiful pieces of goldsmithery, in sumptuous rooms. To have
A good museum, an interesting exposition, but there is absolutely no information about the exhibits in the museum itself, the only way to find out something about the exposition is the audio guide.
We bought the Faberge egg in February Museum in Saint Petersburg for 15 thousand rubles.
We came there. Wanted to change for the new one because this one is brokenhearted. They said that they don't change for the new one because it's passed 2 weeks.
It's very sad to see that they don't have quality in that they sell and guarantee of the product that cost of lot of money.
So be careful when you buy Faberge egg in this Museum shop !
Absolute to visit when here in St Petersburg. Tells how much know how that exists in the olden times
You have to be here
Bajka
All exhibits of this museum are perfect works of art! Will be in St. Petersburg, be sure to go there)
Fine and finished to a museum, an art in which the Faberge from side to side. The actual egg portion of it is quite small. Great objects and paintings from many salilles, and the building itself is worth a visit and wonderful.
Very cool.
Fantastic art in mini format.
So beautiful. The place itself and the exhibition.
Both the building and the rooms and the exhibition are very nice
A very comprehensive collection and well worth a few hours.
You can rent an audio guide but English guided tours are not often available.
Beautiful, in excellent condition, the building is outside and inside. The exhibition itself is properly structured, lighting as a separate art. There are transparent benches that do not spoil the view and provide an opportunity to relax. It is better to walk without small children, they will not be interested and you will not be allowed to enjoy such beauty. You can take an audio guide for two, if you want a live tour, this one is also available. I will come again
There are only 13 eggs out of the 47, but it's worth going.
A good museum, ticket price 450 . Interesting temporary exposure. Beautiful cafe.
Incredible museum! You can go here many times and each of them to discover something new, draw inspiration.
All these small details in each subject are enthralled, which Russian craftsmen could have done a century and a half ago.
Layfak: take one audio guide for two, together, you can listen to it, because there loud communication (moderate).
I really liked how the Impressionist paintings are highlighted. I've only seen this before at the National Gallery in London.
The building itself, the Naryshkin-Shuvalov Palace, is also very impressive with luxury.
The museum collection is completely private, but at the same time the museum management provides preferential prices for Tickets for certain categories of visitors.
Many beautiful and original jewelry exhibits. There are books and audio guides, or guides. On the first floor there is a wardrobe, a cafe and a souvenir shop in the style of the museum. In a separate corner there are souvenirs made of precious metals for decent money. The museum may seem boring, but this is a subjective opinion.
Worth a visit, as well as the Hermitage and the treasury of the Hermitage.
Amazing museum! Everyone who visits Saint Petersburg should visit it !
Elegant museum. Starting from polite staff, finishing with the exposition. Part of the halls is worthy of attention in itself (a very beautiful room). Convenient full-fledged free book guides in almost every room can be taken at any stage of the inspection.
Nice museum with fantastic jewelry. Just a lot of tourists. Nice cookies in
cafe. Well worth a visit. Entry 450 rubles.
The museum is great. The staff at the ticket office (girls) have already slightly lost touch with reality and consider everyone who arrives not as guests but as a herd and cattle. And the attitude is appropriate.
Delightful. Great moral satisfaction and pride in our country, which had masters of this level.
I love this museum! Every time I enjoy the exhibits, and admire their beauty, I recommend taking an excursion, very interesting guides illuminate the museum. And there are always temporary exhibitions that you definitely need to get to know!
Young employees, a large wardrobe, a pleasant cafe in the museum.
At the exit, they sell divine candies for one hundred shekels each. Richly expensive, there is not much to save on dinners.
The museum is wonderful. You need one hour to hour and time to visit the exhibit. I recommend an audio guide that costs 200 rubles and can be taken in 7-8 world languages. Photographing is allowed. Within the property More
Located in the very center of the city, easy to get by bus or metro. You can join an excursion group with the guide, or take audio guide or walk around and enjoy the masterpiece yourself. Museum contains several big rooms where you can see different pieces of art made of gold, silver, enamel. One room contains orthodox icons.
Museum is not crowded in late autumn - winter period. Good that it's open till late evening (6 PM) even on Sundays.
Security is at good level, you will be requested to pass through the scanner at the entrance (like in airports)
Favorite place in St. Petersburg !!!
Recomend for everybody!
Thanks to the museum
A very interesting museum. An excellent selection of exhibits, and the halls of painting were simply struck by the lighting of the paintings! Thanks to the organizers! The collection is rich and diverse. I highly recommend this museum.
Very beautiful, interesting exhibits and a pleasant atmosphere.
Was at the exhibition Frida Kahlo. Organization of exhibitions, paintings, letters, personal items. All this allowed to plunge into its history. In the museum itself, everything is well organized, it is easy to breathe, despite the heat outside.
Worth a visit to see royal Faberge eggs and other objects created by this famous studio.
A treasure chest full of precious things.
In addition it houses an interesting collection of works of Russian Impressionism. Unmissable!
Impressive enamel work but the audioguide was too extensive for me
Simply Bomb! Ideally organized, classroom exposure. We opened our mouths open and we - 40-year-old uncles and my seven-year-old daughter. According to the density of impressions - quite a rival of the Hermitage
Definitely worth visiting to see some of the famous eggs in real life. Apart from the eggs, the museum interior is very beautiful and worth a visit by itself. In addition, there are many other interesting pieces in the museum such as old tea jars, vases, paintings etc.
The museum is pretty small and not as crowded as for example the Hermitage. Two hours should be sufficient for a visit. Also, check out the souvenir shop which has some cute eggs and books related to Faberge.
Good especially for the wonderful collection of eggs of course
The subtlety and uniqueness of the work of the masters is impressive.
A museum not to be missed with any trip to St Petersburg
They took an excursion, at first its cost seemed high, but it's worth it! I liked everything, starting with the appearance of tickets, headphones, with which you can hear the guide, ending with the exposure! The museum itself is located in an old mansion, which is well preserved, despite the turbulent events of the past)
Well, a very worthy museum! I personally really liked it! It was surprising that even the paintings of Aivazovsky in the museum. But the cold water in the toilet is just a shame)
The real museum. A very interesting exhibition of Modigliani and Soutine. Great cafe with original pastries.
Very small compared to other grander options in St Petersburg but very interesting and unique. Late opening hours make it perfect for an evening visit to make the most of your time.
Faberge's impressive mastery must be admired at least once
A wonderful museum. Mandatory to visit. I advise you to buy a ticket via the Internet, preferably in the first sessions and always with a guided tour. Then there is a chance to consider everything as it should, and learn a lot of interesting things.
A beautifully decorated museum with valuable beautifully designed exhibits. A lot of pomp and pathos, but somehow cheesy.
Impressive museum with unique exhibits, set in a beautifully restored and impressive palace
Excellent museum. Well designed. Ideal lighting. Good flow. Don't miss.
A very beautiful museum with a good guide who will tell you everything. In the cafe you can eat a Faberge egg !!!
Fabergé: A Legacy of Russian Artistry and Craftsmanship
Fabergé is a renowned name in the world of luxury jewelry and decorative arts. The company was founded in 1842 by Gustav Fabergé, a talented jeweler who established his workshop in St. Petersburg, Russia. However, it was his son Carl Fabergé who brought the brand to international fame with his exquisite creations that captured the essence of Russian artistry and craftsmanship.
Today, Fabergé is best known for its iconic Easter eggs - ornate jewel-encrusted creations that were commissioned by the Russian imperial family as gifts for their loved ones. These eggs are not only masterpieces of design but also symbols of the opulence and grandeur of pre-revolutionary Russia.
The legacy of Carl Fabergé lives on through the Fabergé Museum in St. Petersburg, which houses the largest collection of his works in the world. The museum is located in the Shuvalov Palace, a magnificent neoclassical building that was once home to one of Russia's wealthiest aristocratic families.
Visitors to the museum can marvel at over 4,000 objects from Carl Fabergé's workshop, including not only Easter eggs but also jewelry pieces, objets d'art, and other decorative items. Each piece showcases an unparalleled level of skill and attention to detail that has made Fabergé synonymous with luxury and refinement.
One particularly notable exhibit at the museum is a series of nine Imperial Easter Eggs created for Tsar Nicholas II between 1885 and 1916. These eggs are considered some of Carl Faberge's most exceptional works due to their intricate designs featuring precious stones such as diamonds, emeralds, rubies or sapphires set into gold or silver frames.
In addition to its permanent collection displays at Shuvalov Palace Museum offers temporary exhibitions showcasing contemporary artists inspired by Carl’s work or exploring themes related to Russian culture or history.
Despite being over a century old now since its founding days under Gustav’s leadership until today under new ownerships after several changes hands throughout history; however still today it remains one-of-a-kind brand associated with high-end luxury goods worldwide thanks largely due its rich heritage rooted deep within Russia's cultural identity.
