Excellent program always. It is impossible to see everything in one visit. All experiences are interactive. One of the coolest things to see in the city. Highly recommend staying around 2 hours there.

Incredible Funtastic!

Science fans, engineers and curious people will love it!

Well organized, staff friendly and equipment with great conditions. You'll spend hours without notice (reserve a morning or afternoon to visit).

I strongly recommend bring your kid too.

Fabulous! Plan to spend All day, and more. Entertaining and fun for the whole family. My son loved the various demos that staff put on, especially magic tricks demo. So much to see and do and touch and... Explore.

What a delight of a place to go to with kids of every age up to gran and grandads! A delight of fascination, fun and education. The back room staff must have a ball inventing demonstration exhibits to show a scientific principle with fun at the core. We spent a happy rainy day immersed in the area - an onsite restaurant made sure we were catered for in drinks and food too. Learning science and having fun in doing so! EXCELLENT!

One day is not sufficient for this science overload. Wish the ticket was valid for a week or at least two visits. Marvelous and a must for young and adults alike. You will have so many aha moments here, go early in the morning, take a break in between and start your expedition again . Rare place, where you feel every dollar and minute you spent is worth. I loved the pastas in the eatery at exploratorium.
Give each exhibit it's time, read the instructions on the boards by the specimen, do as suggested. A detailed walk through this place is like doing a big part of your schooling again.

I am a huge far on the Exploratorium, both before it moved and even more so now in its new location. The exhibits are all great and even though I have been here many times, it is still a lot of fun. Everything is hands-on and interactive and the space is so big that you can spend hours in here. They also have a great little cafe at the end of the pier. The fact that the Exploratorium is right on the water is awesome and the views are spectacular. This is a great family spot, and great date spot and in general just a lot of fun. I also highly recommend the first Thursday of the month when they have "After Dark", a happy hour party.

Fantastic discovery museum space for kids from 1 to 92. Would be brilliant for a date! My 4 year old loved it, as did her dad. Loads of hands on stuff, good explanations and well distributed so it wasn't too crowded on a Friday afternoon. The gift shop was fabulous too, and the cafe looked lovely, although it was closing as we arrived. Tickets are pricey but it's great fun so worth it.

Want to see some cool stuff for a decent price? Drop by here and embrace science and learn some cool stuff. There is enough interactive activity to last you hours of joy.

There might be a lot of kids there, but the stuff is cool enough to bring joy to the older crowd as well.

Like the new location (its been a few years since we've been here). Lots of space and room outside for displays. So many things to play with. It was a busy day when we visited so when I found something interesting usually there was already a "little person" there. And as the "mature adult" you wait your turn. Unfortunately "little people" sometimes don't get the concept of a "line" and you find the "little people" in front of you multiplying. But you wait it out all the same. I recommend the "adults only" sessions on select evenings if you need more "me time". Its a lot of fun either way and sometimes you actually learn something.

Great place for kids and learning while they are playing. It's a big place and a lot things to do, for ages 3 and up from my point of view. You can learn about electricity, waves and a lot more

Very fun and interesting. A little on the expensive side but a lot of bang for your buck. The last half hour is free. Thats not even close to enough time to experience everything but if you're in town for a few days it's a good way to check it out and see if it's something you would be interested in buying a ticket for the next day.

Fun day

Interesting science exhibits and displays. Everything is well designed constructed (thanks to their in museum workshop) and it's a very hands-on experience. There's something for everyone, and there's so many exhibits that you won't be able to see everything in a day. You'll leave with some interesting random science facts that are applicable to your life. I'd recommend arriving early so as to maximize your trip. Have fun exploring!

went on for the weekly 'after-dark' event on thursday and it was super fun. plenty of exhibits, 'lectures', interactive displays, drinks, demonstrations. the space is huge in there so it was able to comfortably house as many people as there were, didn't really feel cramped or overcrowded at all. definitely will want to come back at some point since i wasn't able to see everything there was to offer.

The person by the till was very kind to offer us a discount due to our profession, despite us not having ID. A great start! We spent a whole afternoon here and unfortunately didn't finish! This was because of how long we spent at each station. Hours of fun to be had here, would definitely recommend. If you have a chance go here! This was one of the best museums I have ever been to! We spent 4 hours here and felt rushed, you need a full day! I went with my 16 yr old and 14 yr old and we all had so much fun! Highly Recommend!

I rather enjoyed my day here. Note that I visited alone on the Community Day for $1.
The venue, naturally, was crowded. The majority of visitors were families with children, so it got rather loud, and many of the activities were being used at a time so it was hard to get to all the attractions. However, this did not impede exploring, because in many cases watching someone else interact with an attraction was enough to understand it or be fascinated by it. There is a lot to do here - maybe even too much for me - and I think a $30 price tag is justifiable if you spend a good bit of time here and go through most of the attractions and perhaps even a short film screening.

It's a interactive and scientific place with varities of things to do. FUN and Educational place specially for young people and young at heart ( parents, teachers and guardians). The entrance is a little pricy so I go here when it's free! There's outside exhibits too that makes it very enjoyable for attendees. Wonderful view of the bay and downtown buildings. And there's a CAFE with reasonable price had the cold combination salad!

Have loved this place since I was a kid! I do miss the old location, but the accessibility of the new location is great. I've always thought of this as the perfect place for a date - so much to do and learn, there's just no way you could get stuck in awkward conversation! Haha. Their exhibits are always interesting and no matter how many times you attempt them, they never ever get old.

So. Much. Fun. The Exploratorium is basically a massive hall full of things to play with that are all explained by scientific principles. It may sound dry but it's not - I haven't had this much fun at an exhibition in ages, and would hugely recommend to everyone, not just kids. We visited on a Tuesday at 4pm and it was pretty quiet, I never had to wait more than a minute to play with things. The ratio adults to children was about 4:1 but I would imagine on school holidays and weekends that would change pretty drastically. The stop-motion Batman mobile is hilarious and I had so much fun with the slo-mo cameras and heat detectors.
Pro-tip: visit after 3, and you can use the daily ticket again the next day, so you can avoid exhibit fatigue (it kicks in after the 100th or so!) by spreading it over 2 days.

So much fun! We were there from 5-9pm for summer hours and really, we hardly saw half of the museum. My 8 year old was mesmerised by so many of the exhibits. I can't wait to go back! Highly reccomended!!

This is such a creative activity center! My husband and I enjoyed all the educational and interactive, scientific stations. We also experienced the tactile dome which was an extremely unique experience. This is a great place for families with adults and kids of all ages!

Very unique and interactive activities. Wish I had gone earlier to see all the projects. Only got to view for two and half hours. Defenitly kept young kids, teens and adults amused -Very good place to bring children for a whole day's.

Really cool place. Plenty of things to do. We were there for 3-4 hours and I guess the kids could have kept trying stuff for a full day. Not all exhibits are so safe though, for example there is a mirror exibhit with many pointy corners that can easily badly hurt a kid passing by ...
