Very disappointed with them! I won 4 tickets last year for 4 general admission and unfortunately I finially was able to afford to take my kids and stay in San Francisco being a single mother. I just realized my tickets expired in February 2019 after spending an hour searching for them.

So bummed I decided to call them to see if they could be so kind to extend only 3 tickets to next weekend (I already booked our room) we do not need the 4th ticket and the plan was to donate it to a family in line... They said nope and so I asked if they could offer any type of discount so I can still take them. No, they wouldnt even offer any kind of discount on admission for 3 people even if I brought the tickets in. I get it I sould of notice they expired but unfortunately I didnt.

Most good businesses would offer something to satisfy their customers also in hopes they would return with their families again. We wont be going here ever again as we do not support businesses that do not support their customers satisfaction and experiences with the company.

One of the best science museums in the world in terms of interactive exhibits and creative execution! It's fun for kids of all ages. The food at their restaurant is pretty solid compared to other museums. Their Thursday night events are great for 21+ year olds.

Lots to excellent hands on displays. My son barely got through it and we were there from open to close on a weekday. He wants to go back and do all the stuff over again. He could be here everyday for a week.

Fun for kids and adults. Make sure you have plenty of time to explore and start early in the day if possible, if you want to get the ticket prices' worth. Everything is hands on. Kids absolutely love the freedom.

This is great fun for ALL ages. We took our two year old daughter. While she didn't quiet get the "jist" of the intentions for the experiments, she was free to get in and she had a ball exploring the shapes, textures, colors, and sounds in her own way. If you have a little one around her age be ready to chase your child and put things back constantly. The museum itself was clean, well organized, and worth the money! We learned a lot through each experimental experience provided by the museum!

One of the greatest museums in the USA! An interactive science museum that is truly unique. The new digs (was wonderful when it was at the Palace of Fine Arts) on the Embarcadero allowed for more exhibits which are truly creative. You can't go to San Francisco without visiting the Exploratorium!

Very very geeky place. Simply wonderful science experiments and so many stuff to learn and perform practically. My kid was just too young to fully enjoy this beautiful place. Will definitely have to take him when he grows up. The machines that were built here are so much cool and the live demos of how they work and how they are made..there is so much uniqueness to the building on how they utilize the power and how environmentally responsible they are. There is a nice gift shop and restaurant inside which is very good... Every parent needs to take their kids to this place and have them learn about science and we can learn in the process too. Most of the machines are workable and they teach us a lot about physics.

Even more fun than I remember! As a Redwood City native, I went to the Exploritorium on class fieldtrips and thought my daughter would enjoy it too. Sometimes it's difficult to entertain my 11 y/o daughter but this was definitely a hit with her.

Wow what an amazing science museum. My ten year old spent four hours exploring it on a weekday morning when it was mostly deserted. Fun for anyone all ages. Don't miss the amazing giant parabolic mirror and the excellent outdoor exhibits on the pier. One visit is not enough to see/do everything. We'll be back!

So fun!! So great for kids! Makes me wish I had kids of my own just to take them here. It's an experience science-based... Museum. But what sets it apart is that All of the "exhibits" or activities inside are hands on so it's very very kid friendly.

Myself and my wife had a wonderful time despite that though, and even though we're not the target demographic it was still such a blast and so inclusive. There were even much older couples there who were having a good time too.

They also have an adults only time Thursday nights that we're dying to go to. Leave a LOT of time for it thought. We had about an hour to explore it and only got a quarter of the way through. The

Very nice and fun, I expected a real science museum but in reality a traditional museum as we know it in Italy has nothing.I would define it as a science funfair, where children but also adults can experiment and physically try some games and machines that explain many general principles of some scientific disciplines. Suitable for families with children from 3 years. (With my wife after 45 minutes we ran away)

The Exploratorium is a MUST visit if you re in San Fran with kids. Especially if they enjoy hands on activities.

The Exploratorium is huge and offers so so much to do and explore! Becoming a member is definitely worth it if you think you ll be returning to the area within a year as there is so much to do here it s likely you won t get to experience it all in a single day.

Just writing this review is making me want to plan another trip to San Francisco just to go to the Exploratorium and the California Academy of Sciences again!

Highly recommend!

This is an amazing science/exploration museum. Our child and I just loved it. Be prepared to spend at least 3 to 4 hours if not long. We ran out of time . So many cool experiments. If I lived nearby I would definitely become a member.

Best interactive museum I have ever been to. I brought a group of my students (High School seniors) and after 5 hours they still didn't want to leave. I brought my 2 yr old son a few weeks later and couldn't get him to leave either. Entertainment, education and engagement for all ages (man does that sound like a sales pitch). I will be bringing my son here yearly for a long time.

Took the kids here on a rainy day and it took up 5 hours. Still didn't get to do everything in that time, just ran out of energy. There is ALOT of stuff to see and experience here so be ready for a long stay. Kids were amazed

On our first visit 3 hours seemed like nothing, so we had to come back for the whole day and had a blast! A lot of exciting, interactive and interesting exhibits, the outdoor and roof top galleries and a very decent canteen made the whole day experience in the Exploratorium super fun for both kids and adults.

I love the exploratorium. I work on a ship and whenever we pull into San Francisco we are usually at their pier. There are so many exhibits and fun things to do inside. Definitely recommend.

Felt like a kid again! Even the most apathetic cynic will find something that interests them in this 6 gallery, massive interactive museum - featuring fun outdoor activities. Tip: bring hand sanitizer and comfortable walking shoes.

This a great place to take your kids if your kids are over 5 or 6. My oldest is 5 and he was able to enjoy a fair amount of the exhibits but I feel like if he was a year or two older, he would be able to appreciate more of it. My middle son is 2.5 years old and I don't really feel like there was much he could understand. There's a couple stations with blocks for him to play with but that's hardly worth the cost of admission.

This place is also very crowded. If you go on the weekend, prepared to be pushed around by all the other kids wanting to see each exhibit. With younger kids, it was hard to let them get a good look at a lot of the exhibits because older kids would bump them out of the way or cut.

Finally, bring your own food. They have their own cafeteria but it is over priced and the quality of the food isn't that good in my opinion.

When you think of the old Exploratorium... you will find all of your old favorites here, but you will also find much much more. There is great history in the building, the Thursday adult nights are a must!

This is a museum-to-be in SFO! I visited it on San Valentine evening, when the museum was open until 10 p.m. (this happens every Thursday, so check their calendar out). It's a science museum with lots of installations and experiments to try. It's perfect for everybody: couples, families or groups of friends.
