Fantastic cocktail club hidden on the streets of china town, it is not easy to realize the entrance of this place but once inside they find a pleasant and probably inspected atmosphere. Friendly staff and very professional bartenders who prepare fantastic cocktails. Negroni is very good in all its originality. Recommend! Closes late at night on weekends, a reservation is advisable that can only be made via e-mail. Average high price.

Great atmosphere and bar staff was brilliant. One girl with blonde hair in particular made the night for us.

Door staff were a bit up themselves which is a shame but i guess that's why they work on the door.... ;)

Very rude doorman, let a couple in before us without asking them for a reservation yet asked us if we had one, which we did. Then when we got up to the bar and the same couple are on our table!! Drinks were good but this place is not worth the hassle or hype, will not be coming back here again.

Can I give this place zero stars? I would if I could! I don't even wanna waste my time writing this review, so I'll make it quick. Very overpriced and quite disgusting drinks..if I'm being honest, I've had better cocktails at TGIFridays during happy hour. Ambience in here is boring, no vibes whatsoever. Bartender was very rude and hostile towards us for some strange reason and I got the feeling he resented me before I even placed my order - gave me dirty looks (whatever, I can throw them right back), ignored me (be that way, no tip for you), insinuated that my Id was fake (cheers, I wish!!). Seriously mate, call yourself a mixologist all you want, but at the end of the day, you shake up beverages in a metal canister (badly, I might add), you are not the Dalai Lama or even Gandhi. My suggestion to this guy is, get over yourself.

Also, there is a weird cheese smell.

It's going from great to meh... some of their best bartenders left.

Good cocktails. Price is in line with other high end cocktail bars. Staff (at least those I have encountered in my two visits) let the place down. All the decor in the world won't atone for bad service. Ruins the ambience. Certainly a missed opportunity...better service and this place would be awesome.

Cocktails (St Germain Des Pres!) are fine but come on a Sunday or school night and you will have a much better experience.

Very average drinks and then charged the optional 12.5% gratuity. You ve gotta do much better if you re going to call yourself a cocktail bar.

High quality cocktails in a speakeasy atmosphere. Expect to be turned away at the door, however, if you show up at peak time underdressed/without attractive company!

I ve been going to this place for years. But now the novelty has worn out. Also they discriminate. I was outside queueing, they turned away a older couple, they said sorry we are very busy, then two minutes later they let me and my friend in. Absolutely out of order.

Our group would certainly concur with other reviewers who complained about rude and arrogant door staff at this place, who seemed to believe it was some sort of rarefied privilege to purchase the expensive cocktails at their bar. We're very happy to buy our expensive cocktails where we're made to feel welcome and won't be returning to suffer these a$$clowns again.

Hidden cocktail bar with 3 floors and an excellent selection of cocktails. Gets fairly busy on the weekend but always fun to visit.

The worst experience I have ever had in a bar ... without repeating some comments about the 5 pounds at the entrance (it's not even a cloakroom), first feeling when going up the stairs to get to the place, a foul smell coming from I do not know where ... we were placed at the bottom of the stairs on uncomfortable beanbags while there was room around us and we kindly asked after the departure of a couple next to us if we could take their place.
My friend did not want to order at first (after eating) I directly ordered my 15 pound glass which seemed good to me (I will talk about it again later ...) the waiter returned to the charge 4 times in less than 10mn to ask my friend what she wanted to drink, she ended up ordering something.
The place is certainly intimate but to the point of having to take a candle or his phone to read the drinks menu, it is a bit limited ... especially when this lack of visibility ends up causing the overturning of his glass at barely 15 pounds started ... without even a commercial gesture from the waiter, we had planned to have a good evening and order several drinks, in the end my friend drank her glass in 5 seconds and we left quickly ... and the "see you soon "from the server was just the icing on the cake ... at the entrance we tried to give our feelings to the person who had welcomed us, instead of having a professional demeanor did not seek that to say that if it was us who had reversed consumption there was no reason that he offered us one ... I have the impression that there is a gap between our cultures, customer service was really deplorable, you will be able to drink better cocktails with a much friendlier atmosphere and out with staff much more attentive to the needs of customers ... it's easy to add the 10% of the service directly to the invoice if behind there is no customer service ... We should really question ourselves!

The place has nice atmosphere and good cocktails that's why we came back to it, but the top tip is to avoid the rude waitress (you'll know who instantly when you meet her). Everything she said had an undertone of "get the hell out of my way" from the second we came into her sight, which was not very pleasant when you're just trying to enjoy some nice cocktails in a cool place with some friends. It was kind of embarrassing taking my visitors here just to receive this kind of treatment. Be rest assured though, not everyone is like her - the other two waitresses were nice and just the tight amount of attentiveness. Still a recommended place, just avoid the rude waitress on her bad day!

Great atmosphere and cocktails. Candlelit bar over 2 floors with a 30s vibe. Stockholm syndrome, le montrose, smoke the rhino all v interesting. Expensive but worth it.

A bit difficult to find, the doorman has a children's colorbook and stands in front of the building door. The place is tiny so book ahead. The cocktails are all yummy!

It used to be my favourite place but after the last visit I got very disappointed... All wrong! bad Cocktails, bad or no service at all... pity

Cocktail bar in the heart of China town playing relaxing vibes

Nice cocktails in a relatively chill atmosphere. I appreciated the 90's music the dj happened to be playing as well.

A slightly different scene then I'm used to but amazing drinks and friendly staff.

Awful employees!
They will make a mistake on your drink. Rather than apologise and excuse the very loud music as an understandable reason, they get upset with you and insist that you pay for whatever they made.

Never go unless you want to deal with very snooty, snobby spoiled brats as your bartenders.

Extremely rude staff, they couldn't seem to understand that we'd rearranged ourselves, along with the couple next to us so we could sit next to and speak to each other instead of shouting across the table. God forbid should we mess with how their computer system sits people in the name of comfort!!! The staff were clearly not going to allow or entertain anything other than this rigid way of sitting so we left promptly in favour for a bar that also served nice drinks and allowed us to sit in comfort rather than way only described on a computer table billing system. No drinks were ordered.

cocktails are surprisingly good, better than average. nice environment to talk and feel the music. I cannot make sense of the 5 pounds entrance fee though, kind of off putting.

Lots of bitter reviews here from people who weren't able to get in. To put the record straight, the place is small, crowded up to a point, with great bartenders, great drinks and good prices. It is loud, quite chic, comfortable, and good and interesting clientele. It is not for everyone, but if you're the right sort of person, it's a great place.

The place itself is just staircase converted into something called bar. Quite dark and loud inside. Quality and quantity of drinks is low. Not much space inside. I can't really think about any pros of that place.

It's a bit of an adventure to find this small unmarked door along Gerrad street but negotiate your way past the guarded door and you'll find two floors of a great speaking easy style bar. The cocktails are finely crafted and there's usually some decent music being played further upstairs. Good fun and a nice place to bring friends.

We only had the cocktails here and they tasted great. The service was really good. The entrance was so hard to identify that we walked past it twice. It s in between 2 Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. I can t say for anything else on the menu but based on what we had and the atmosphere, I give it 5 stars.

Speak easy style bar. No jazz in site. Cover charge to get in, absorbitantly expensive drinks. Rude door staff. Some of the wait staff were perfunctory. It was absolutely rammed.

Quite hard to get into, bouncers only allow in couples. Once in, it's cosy and drinks were lovely but expensive. Atmosphere is good but be prepared to have to talk quite loudly.

From the random doorman outside the small unremarkable door to the dark insides this place oozes charm and it finds a good crowd with the young and well-dressed. One thing to watch out for with this "mystery" place is the high prices! The strong drinks probably make up for it in this regard however.

Something different in the heart of China Town.
Not the cheapest place for a night out but worth every penny.

ALERT. Worst doorman experience. Although we didn't have a reservation, my cousin and his husband were inside in a table waiting for me. She came outside but a beared and small doorman didn't allow us to go inside because the capacity was exceded, even though many people left while we were there. Maybe they are called experimental because they hire useless people at the front door.

Terrible terrible service. Rude staff, rude manager. If you request not to pay the optional service charge, a 12.5% service charge that is added to the bill as you order and wait 20 minutes at the bar whilst they hopefully are making your drink but tend not to be, the bar tender will request that security remove you. Nice. At which point you will meet the only staff that see reason and don't quite understand why they, as door men, have been called in to resolve the matter. If you're looking for a speak easy, head to Nightjar, great cocktails presented with exceptional service.

Crystal is the entire reason id go back. Intelligent staff. Open. Great cocktails. Get yourself a Kota.a cocktail that takes 2 days to make. Get to the door and say the place was recommended. Well worth the time and money.
