Loved it. So much better than when it was just the EMP museum. Loved the Pearl Jam Exhibit and of course we couldn't pass up Marvel's Exhibit. However I think the main price should cover all exhibits and some of them shouldn't be extra. We of course paid the extra fee but I don't think it was really worth the extra charge. Also the people in the coat check area all seemed to be trained differently and I never received my i.d. back after returning a stroller we borrowed. Called the lost and found but they say they don't have it.

Went back to visit! Most of all Jimi Hendrix things are gone! Now the room that they had for Jimi ! Is as small as your restroom!! Took videos out ! Where he was lay to rest!
Took
The earphones out and the CD players! Where you use to listen to all of his music!'took most of the pictures out!'it looks empty
Now they have a big movie theater where they play his music! When they want to! I am so disappointed!
To days is Sunday 11/12/2017
I am going to take my friend there!
Who love Hendrix!
After I bragged about this place now I am going to finally take him! And I am embarrassed to
Show him this empty room! He game from Vegas to
See this! Is Embarrassing!!!

I love this place. There were many, many children here today like from a camp.or something. I wish maybe they could have done a private tour. All I've been hearing is adults hollering at kids to stay in line, hold their partner's hand etc.

Back when this was built as the Experience Music P...

Back when this was built as the Experience Music Project, it was a pretty unique museum. I am a little sad that's gone, because it was something pretty different: an actually working museum of sound art instead of visual art. That said, the MoPop keeps the dream alive. While you can certainly see the infuence of Paul Allen's personal collection on the museum, which includes some great, but by now slightly dated pieces, the museum manages to keep it fresh with rotating exhibitions that actually work better in the MoPop than they would in an art museum, 'modern' or not because the MoPop is about culture first, and so can run with things that might not check the boxes for a more art or history focused museum. It's definitely a fun space, mostly kid and adult friendly, worth a visit, and maybe worth a membership. If you are visiting and only have time for one museum, this is the most unique part of the Seattle area museum collection available.

I was able to go to the Marvel exhibit and it was phenomenal! I really enjoyed both the Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix exhibits as well! The Horror film and sci fi film areas are also really dope with tons of movie props. I personally am not a huge Star Trek fan but they had a HUGE exhibit, if you re a fan you d appreciate it more.
10/10 would recommend the Museum.

Very hospitable. We came in a little late and was unable to see all the amazing exhibits, however James was very empathetic and gave us a free pass to come in the following day to finish our visit. Very fun museum with a caring team.

Very Interesting place..tons of different galleries. Not for young children...tweenagers like it! Lots of walking...very little food choices inside building, So don't plan on a good food experience; you'll have to go elsewhere for lunch or dinner. I especially liked the Prince exhibit and the Sci-Fi gallery. Plan to spend 2-3 hours. 10 year old Grandson especially enjoyed the Music Lab where he could play a variety of instruments including keyboard, guitar and drums by himself and in private.

Way overpriced admission and very disappointing exhibits. They want an additional $8 to see the Marvel Comics exhibit but a local told me they only charge additional for it on the weekends. The Star Trek exhibit was closed when we were there. Never again! I don't recommend wasting your time or money here.

Almost five stars, I absolutely love the experience of this museum but the staff could use to be a little more kind with a mom of two (baby and toddler) who also enjoys art. There is no need to remind me that I need to grab my things and go because the museum is about to close when I was actually grabbing my things and putting my kids in the stroller ready to leave.

What an incredible museum! Not only is there an amazing amount of things to do inside, there is also a lot of things to do outside nearby like a children's playground, riding monorails, or exploring more of the city center. Inside the museum is tons of pop culture memoribilia. It is the Museum Of Pop Culture after all! There's sections for music, movies, sci-fi, fantasy, video games and also a huge revolving collection. When I visited it was a Jim Henson collection and I absolutely adored it! A great little a la carte cafe to eat at inside as well. Make sure to walk around the outside of the building too! It was famously designed by architect Frank Gehry

Having visited this Museum multiple times, I can't even understand how they can claim it is inspired by Jimi Hendrix. They have reduced the Hendrix exhibit to one small room highlighting his travels abroad and it is quite a disappointment from the large-scale artifacts including his clothing and musical equipment. I understand the Brazilian government has some artifacts and did a separate Museum and I really hope that it returns back to its original extensive nature... a disappointment, especially given price.

Truly a find! We drove down from BC recently to visit with some friends in Seattle and met up at the MoPop. The architecture of the building, the various exhibits and layout are all designed to please the eye. I can honestly say there isn't a single aspect of this place I found uninteresting. There is something here for anyone who loves sci-fi, fantasy, comics, music videos... etc. Staff were really helpful and understanding of my child on the autism spectrum. The playground in the back of the building was unexpected but a huge hit for the kids when they needed to blow off some energy and in hindsight, was a genius move by the planners. The Marvel exhibit was totally worth it as an extra. My kids thought the Sound Room where they could try various instruments and record their own music was awesome (they could have stayed in that section the whole time). All of the kids loved the enormous viewing screen (Skychurch area) for music videos and the large open area in front of the screen is positioned so they can have their own dance party without obstructing the view by anyone passing by. I would recommend to anyone as a must-see in Seattle. Plan to spend a full day there, it is completely worth it.

A really interesting museum to visit in Seattle. The Jimmy Hendrix exhibit is very well done as well as the other exhibits. The Prince exhibit was closed during my visit. The guitar gallery is very interesting. There is music playing all the time. The sound lab is really fun. You can learn to play an instrument and go into a recording studio as well. I think this is a great place to visit in Seattle, especially if you like music.

This museum of pop culture was great, and had lots of galleries and biographies about famous people. When we went there, they had a marvel exhibit. Prices aren't too high for tickets. The museum also is very close to the space needle, so it's a good place for photos outside. I very like it, and would recommend coming here for music lovers.

We went for the Jimi Hendrix exhibit, very disappointed in what was there. We paid 100$ for a family of 4, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Vancouver and they had more Jimi stuff on a small wall than the Mo Pop did, crazy stuff, also the guitar straps are priced higher than a guitar store. My advice would be if you are going for the Jimi Exhibit, don't, just look at a video of the room and save yourself some $$.

There's many more museums in Seattle than you might initially realize, but this is one of the more iconic ones for good reason. There are a few permanent displays revolving around fantasy, sci-fi, horror, etc. that have real props from movies and TV shows. They also do a revolving exhibit around once or twice a year that could be just about anything - I've visited the current Marvel exhibit twice. They have also ramped up their events this year, making a membership for locals much more worth-while, and the events themselves vary from the family-friendly to the 21+. Halloween is also fantastic at the MoPop.

This was such a fun place to kill time. They have a collection of "pop culture" exhibits. As a gamer I loved the indie gaming section. Loved the Star Trek section and much of the science fiction areas. Even better with CityPass.

Everything about MoPOP was amazing!! The science fiction area was amazeballs. They had a literal Dalek on display!! Then we got to rock out on different instruments in the Sound Lab. Super rad!! There was a special Marvel event that was everything. Loved learning the history behind how the MCU got started and everything in between.

The museum was amazing and well thought out. All ages will enjoy it, as there truly is something for everyone. Give yourself an entire day here, especially if you like to read everything. Parking is nearby, and the staff are helpful. There's a free coat check too, which is nice especially if you're in a downpour and don't want to carry that jacket around!

Don't miss this Great Seattle Attraction!

Such an amazing place to spend a few hours! The Marvel museum alone is worth the cost of admission - even knowledgeable comics officionados will learn something. The Jimmy Hendrix museum, Horror museum, and even just the building itself are worth seeing.

So cool!! My favorite is the Horror exhibit. There are so many cool props and videos, and the vibe is so creepy! The whole museum is super pretty, and there's so much interactivity, especially in the SoundLab and the Indie Game experience. All in all, super worth the $30 entrance fee.

If you like science fiction, games, or music, this is your museum. Besides a number of great static exhibits, they usually have at least one special rotating exhibit. All are worth your time. It's easy to lose a whole day in here. And for most exhibits you can take photos.
