I found this museum to be a letdown. I came for the Nirvana exhibit, which was good but small. It could have been bigger and the videos didn't really tell the band's story very well, particularly after seeing the Montage of Heck. Integrating more footage of Nirvana with music and video would have brought it to life. The people interviewed and recorded for the kiosks were people most people have never heard of. Where are interviews from Dave and Kris? Courtney? Anyone?

The rest of the museum, with the exception of a small room for Jimi Hendrix, was not related to music history. I walked through the rest in about 20 minutes. I would not recommend this museum unless you have very diverse pop culture interests (Star Trek, videogames, etc.) The price is steep for the entertainment value here.

Best tourist attraction in Seattle. We spent well over 3 hours here and could have easily been more. All attractions were really well put together and fun. Particular favourites were the music rooms and the holodome experience which cost a little extra but was so worth it.

Im here visiting my best friend and was really glad I remembered to check this out! Really awesome experience. Featuring different band/artist, video game, and movie exhibits on top of an awesome store and restaurant/bar. They also had a special Marvel exhibit during my visit and it was a very cool/special exhibit. Especially with Stan Lee's recent passing. R.I.P

This place is awesome! I loved the Jimi Hendrix exhibit and the new Marvel one, so so many awesome pieces and replicas.
It's great that you can buy a city pass that includes MoPOP, the needle, Seattle aquarium, and more. It's a little pricey but totally worth it.
They've got a great gift shop inside too, lots of tshirts and Funko Pops. Definitely a must if you love music, Star Trek, Jimi Hendrix, Marvel, and other iconic pop culture!

Wow! What fun! So many items to see! Every time I went on to the next item I was so surprised at what a fantastic collection they had!
The outfit Leeloo wore from the 5th element, red dress from Battlestar Galactica and countless others but my favorite is the collection of Kurt Cobain and the Nirvana collection.
I don t really have anything negative to say. Except they go to great lengths not to feed Gizmo from Gremlins and encase him so he won t be able to eat after Midnight but he doesn t look healthy - he s just laying on his back looking dehydrated.
I went at a slower time of the year so I didn t have to wait in line.

Had a great time walking around the pop culture museum. I was there when the marvel exhibit was going on. Price was a little high for the add-on but definitely worth checking out if you're at all into props and costumes. I feel like two or three hours when it's busy is a good time to budget to walk through and see most of everything.they were a little too busy for me to check out the indie game section because you would have had to wait to get a spot to play but I didn't feel like I missed too much. They also have a pretty good little gift shop at the beginning and end of the museum.

This museum provides a trip through the history of pop culture, highlighting Seattle's internationally successful bands, especially Pearl Jam. A must visit for rock lovers. Fun, interesting and very well organized is a great fun option. Being in Seattle and being a pop music lover, don't miss this fun museum.

I was seriously disappointed in this place. They must have been between setups because it was the Hendrix And Prince experience, the music makers, guitars, and the game room. The game room was full of kids and adults that hoarded the games and wouldn't get up, same with the music makers, and half or more of the headphones in the guitar area didn't work. It just wasn't what all the hype proclaimed.

It was a fun place to visit, and it wasn't crowded. Also, lots of employees so if you have questions they can point you in the right direction. It definitely took me back to my childhood, but it also had new age things like Mindcraft and an indie video game room. I recommend it!

Big disappointment especially considering the $25 a head admission price. The Sound Lab, Guitar Gallery and Jimi Hendrix exhibits were the best thing going but, woefully small. Wish they would dedicate as much space and content to stuff like that as they did to Hello Kitty.

First time. Went ahead and signed up for annual VIP. Pretty excited about upcoming events to come. To me it's easy to spend a full day here. I love the interactivity and the random obscure collection of tangibles. It helps to identify and bring me into the moment. Not sure what I'll think of this museum in 30 years. We even decided to easy here and food was surprisingly affordable. Overall the museum collection is one of the top 10 I've been in and looks to only be improving daily.

It was pretty cool and the building is fabulous. Hot and stuffy with stairs to climb made wearing the mask uncomfortable for the duration. The museum has taken plenty of steps to promote social distancing but there were still a lot of people around.

Four Stars would have been Five but 30$ a person was steep.
If it was comperable to a movie theater ticket 14.50-15$ the volume of attendees would be incredible and more people could enjoy their local PopCulture History.
I was upset to see exhibits removed because of political ties/personal feelings. After all this is a museum and that felt like historical censorship. I'm sad to see the museum renamed. EMP better described what this place is. Experience Music Project for ever.

Favourite museum ever! Lots of exhibits to see and learn from, from Nirvana to Pearl Jam to horror and sci-fi. Spent more time in here than I've ever spent in any museum. The sound lab where you can jam with friends and the holodome were experiences you shouldn't miss!

Great place. Great exhibits. I could spend all day in here. Fun for all. When you go allow enough time to see everything. Also be prepared to pay extra to see the Marvel exhibit. It is not included in the standard admission to the museum. It is definately worth it.

The price is well worth it. The staff are welcoming and the exhibits are really great. Even the little Wolfgang puck restaurant was pretty good. Also highly recommend the sound lab. Only a 10 min wait to jam with drums and both 6 string and bass guitars.

Nice place to explore the American Pop Culture. Didn't visit the Jim Henson sound lab as I entered it pretty late. The Star Trek exhibitions is interesting. The digital gaming exhibit sponsored by Nintendo is fun and not just for kids. The Scream of Death is not as scary as the name might mean but truly not for young kids.
