Some varied exhibits for varied interests. Certainly major focus is around music (nothing new - think more Prince, Nirvana, Pearl Jam) and a few other exhibits for sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and gaming. Not over the top in design but keeps you entertained for a time. Depending on your interests can be worth the ticket price. Lots of interactive aspects for the kids.

Really awesome experience all around, featuring great exhibits ranging from good music to storytelling and film to the epitome of hands on displays including a room focused on independent games, all playable of course, and, even more notably, the "sound lab" which is made up of several rooms, each containing all the instruments a person would need for a full on jam session, also all playable, and one even holding studio grade recording technology. One of the coolest things in Seattle aside from gas works park, in my opinion, and very highly recommended.

It's a unique experience, but I couldn't help but feel like it was always missing something. The exhibits were all fun to see, but they all felt a bit off. Like a not fully baked vision of what the museum could be. And the music parts of the museum could use a few more exhibits of other genres.

I don't really get MoPOP. I have been many times, but never felt like I really enjoyed the visit. It's not particularly kid-oriented. Lots of the exhibits are boring stuff like fashion displays which kids aren't going to be interested in. The interactive music stations upstairs are cool, but very crowded and you have to have a lot of patience if you want to do anything there. Might be an interesting occasional temporary exhibit, but on the whole isn't that rewarding of an experience.

Awesome

This was a cool place to go for my birthday. I had never been. I loved the sci-fi and fantasy room and sitting on Prince's bike was rad. I love Prince RIP. Wish they talked more about how he started the Paisley palace.

I quite enjoyed my time at this museum, there was a lot of cool, fascinating and intriguing aspects that really grabbed my interest as a fan of film, video games and music.

Each of the exhibitions had unique areas with different layouts and colour schemes, great pieces of information to learn about and nice stuff to interact with whether they were games, musical instruments or simulation experiences.

My favourite aspects of my trip was the Marvel and Jimi Hendrix exhibitions and the food was also really good as well. I would highly recommend it.

Great establishment with nice collections and interactive activities, the props from classic Sci fi films were impressive. The staff was helpful. I only wish I had more time to spend there!

One of the highlights of my trip to Seattle, and a perfect stop after checking out the Space Needle and Chihuly Glass Garden.

The permanent exhibits alone are worth the price of admission, but depending on when you go, you're bound to find at least one traveling exhibit worth your time. I missed the Marvel Comics exhibit, but Prince, Nirvana, and Jimi Hendrix made up for it.

Also, the cafe here has some of the best food I've ever had at a museum.

So many streets closed/blocked off downtown that we literally drive halfway to north Seattle before illegally u-turning to get to the place. Parking was nonexistent. No one answered the phone, although we had paid in advance for our tickets. If I could rate this as "0" stars, i would.

Definitely check out the rotating exhibits prior to coming, there's some great ones such as the Seattle Seahawks and video games exhibits that were spectacular. It may not be everyone's cup of teas.

Where's all the music stuff?! It was all video games, fantasy, SciFi and Magic cards. Cool, but this is supposed to be a shrine to Hendrix and rock n roll not to 40 year old virgins with masturbation addictions. No offense Uncle Seymour.

Our school had a field trip here and I missed it because I was sick. This museum needs to be demolished, and a memorial needs to be built here of Lincoln sitting in a chair, but it needs to be twice as big as the one in DC.

Good set of galleries of different currents of modern culture. Nice interactive exposition for computer games. Awesome exhibition of Marvel universe including real costumes of superheroes from recent movies.

Over priced and poorly executed.

Sci-fi and horror exhibits are a complete joke.

Redeemed only partially by some of the music oriented exhibits.

Absolutely not worth the price of entry. If they had let me in for free, I still would have left underwhelmed.

Great place for nerds and geeks! Many original items from movies, series, music artists etc. A game room, a room to make your own music. You can spend all day here. It's just great you won't regret visiting the MOPOP.

It was nice and the exhibits are amazing. But the game center was lacking. It was definitely decorated nicely, but the games lagged and broke. The pizza I had tasted terrible as well in the restruant inside the museum. But the museum itself is really nice, a must visit.

Very cool architecture. Frank Gehry design. Museum itself was interesting, but not a top highlight and pretty expensive based on the value of the experience. Your money is better spent elsewhere like the fantastic Chihuly glass museum.

MoPop is a lot of fun! It has a great exhibit celebrating the Pacific Northwest's music history. Other exhibits include Sci-Fi, horror, and fantasy. Each has a wealth of props from movies and fun facts. The rotating exhibit that was there was a celebration of Marvel comic characters.

In addition to this, there is the Sky Church, a big screen playing great music videos. And an interactive indie videogame showcase. My kids loved it!

All staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We showed up about 45 minutes until close knowing that we would have to rush through the exhibits. The gal at the ticket booth gave us a return pass so that we could come back the next day and didn t have to rush as much! It was incredible!
