Truly a find! We drove down from BC recently to visit with some friends in Seattle and met up at the MoPop. The architecture of the building, the various exhibits and layout are all designed to please the eye. I can honestly say there isn't a single aspect of this place I found uninteresting. There is something here for anyone who loves sci-fi, fantasy, comics, music videos... etc. Staff were really helpful and understanding of my child on the autism spectrum. The playground in the back of the building was unexpected but a huge hit for the kids when they needed to blow off some energy and in hindsight, was a genius move by the planners. The Marvel exhibit was totally worth it as an extra. My kids thought the Sound Room where they could try various instruments and record their own music was awesome (they could have stayed in that section the whole time). All of the kids loved the enormous viewing screen (Skychurch area) for music videos and the large open area in front of the screen is positioned so they can have their own dance party without obstructing the view by anyone passing by. I would recommend to anyone as a must-see in Seattle. Plan to spend a full day there, it is completely worth it.
