Cool place to go all around for a few hours. I was a bit disappointed the marvel exhibit wasn t opened when we visited but overall it has great exhibits. It has a few interactive parts where you can play some music and try some indie video games but those areas where extremely busy. Come early to avoid the crowds.

The museum is very interesting. There are samples of Jimmy Hendrix, Nirvana, Nintendo, Marvel, horror films and more. At this specific moment there is also an exhibition by Pearl Jam in honor of the tour they did this year here in Seattle. Some displays are even quite interactive.
I just thought that the museum is smaller than I expected.
It is worth going especially for those who like rock.

Amazing displays, Incredible exhibits. Staff are drink nazis. But they check you bags/ coats for free. Check with your hotel (if your staying at one) for a coupon card. An absolutely must for any sci-fi, fantasy, or horror movie buffs!!!

A nice museum for all ages. It's not just about music anymore, but also has collections on fantasy, science fiction and currently, indie gaming. Can easily spend a full day here, especially since they have interactive lessons for piano, drums, guitar, pedals, music production etc. in their music lab

This museum is wonderfully ridiculously fun. You'll find a giant viewing theater that mimics a concert on your initial entry. Music is on the forefront of this museum with a myriad of exhibits. A personal favorite would be the recording booths which also have a setup to help get your feet wet in the world of music. Next up you'll find genre exhibits that hold former props of many famous shows. Some highlights are Harry Potter and Star Trek.
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

So sad there wasn t more here! Judging by Spock and Picard on the marque you would think there was so much startrek to be had and enough sifi and fantasy to make you forget where you were. Sadly that isn t the case. It felt more like a rock and roll museum then anything else. With the hefty tag of $30 a person I hoped to find myself lost in movie memorabilia. Honestly I looked and not one Star Trek collectible was to be found, there was a touch of starwars and a few other favorites in the basement but sadly the sifi and fantasy were lacking. Now if you are into Prince, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and music in general this would be a great for you. Sadly I left mildly disappointed.

Had a lot of cool stuff, but suffers from an identity crisis. It just feels a bit disjointed in parts, and the flow is confusing. But for movie and music lovers, it's a fun visit. It is expensive, though.

This is hands down the bets Museum I have ever been to! They have the coolest themed exhibits such as the horror movie, fairytale, classic rock, and star trek. I spent an entire day in here!

We scheduled a group this summer to visit the EMP. Unfortunately, our plans changed, and I forgot to let the EMP know. Our group showed up a week early, but they still graciously accommodated our group.
They were very nice and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Thank you everyone at the EMP for making it a terrific experience!

Really disappointed by this museum , I expected much more . One room for Jimi Hendricks , one for nirvana For prime and a larger for Pearl Jam and that s it ! Lots of artefacts probably interesting for the real fan ? No audio guide for explanation . The sound quality was usually not good !!! The only positive points are the sfi-fy and wonderland parts . Hopefully this was part of our city pass .

The Hendrix exhibit is gorgeous and the exhibit on video games was very well done. I also really like the various sci-fi and fantasy set piece collections. The MoPop is a wonderful place to fulfill your inner movie junkie. Pictures of the exhibits don't really do them justice (and they're worth paying for).

This museum is meant for everyone. They have fantastic movie memorabilia, great guitars, and it is very organized. That being said it is a great museum and I got my pictures with a lot of stuff. If you love wizard of oz, sci- FI, Princess bride, and movies this is a must go. So why a 4/5. It took about 1 hour to get though all the exhibits. The music section is more Wall art and descriptions rather then actually pieces. This is not an issue but the cost is rather high. It s probably worth 15-20$ but they charge around 30$. Other then that great experience.

Our family vacationed from Denver to Seattle, the MoPop museum was one of the first things we did & everyone loved it. Its very fun something for all ages. We truely enjoyed it. I would recommend geting the pass that includes the space needle, glass gardens & science center as well.

What a waste of a beautiful building. It could have been so much better. Badly laid out and awkward to find anything. The 1 star is for the staff at the counter who were exceptionally kind and helpful.

So fun! Even my husband who hates museums had a blast, especially with the music exhibits that showcase artists from his youth and the sci-fi and fantasy halls. My son loved the sound lab so much; it is very interactive. We may have a new guitar player in the family now because of the interest that was sparked there.

We didn't go in with any preconceptions. I mean, we like movies, and science fiction, but to see the level of detail and to have memories of my childhood evoked at every turn of a corner was amazing. Movies, books, radio ads, authors, videogames and TV shows from my youth are covered here. Pop music, classic rock, everything. It even brought forth memories of sitting in my parents house as a kid, glued to the local TV station on a rainy Saturday afternoon, watching some old B movie, like "The Blob", or "Invasion of the bodysnatchers". This is a very fascinating museum, even at the base rate. Oh yes, just beware: there's several pricing tiers the base rate, and the "premium content" rate for seeing the Marvel comics content. We opted to forego the Marvel part and still had hours of interesting things to see. The Indie videogame exhibit is neat. The shrine to Nirvana though, although I totally understand it's purpose(This IS Seattle, after all), just wasn't my gig. It is still comprehensive though, and if you are a Cobain fan (and there were many there, speaking in hushed, reverant tones) you will certainly like it.

Loved the Star Trek exhibit! We spent hours looking at the displays, taking photos, reading the text, watching movies. It was great.

And there is some other stuff in this building. None of it interested us.

It's a collection of movie props and old musical instruments. I found it somewhat interesting. The gift shop is kind of cool - a lot of pop-culture merchandise that mostly doesn't reflect the exhibits.

An amazing place to visit in Seattle, enjoyable by adults and kids. If you belongs to Baby Boomers or the Generation X this place is going to remember your childhood days.
Your favorite rock and pop singers, video games (sponsored by Nintendo), 70's 80's TV shows and movies.
Plan at least 3 or 4 hours to spend. There is playground for kids just in front of the main entrance.
Check the Citypass prices to save a few dollars.

The exhibits are so diverse, well-themed, and interactive. Love that the day's admission let's you go in and out of the museum, too, so you could pop over to the Space Needle if your time tickets were further out from your purchase time.

I was very disappointed. There is almost nothing to see on the first and the second floors. Music lab on the third floor is something what might be interesting BUT keep in mind you will stay in line at least 30 minutes. On stage experience was awful - all instruments were not set properly.
