If you're in Seattle, put this in the top 10 thing...
If you're in Seattle, put this in the top 10 things to do. They have a game lab, a music lab where you can just jam, a room dedicated to Pearl Jam and so much more.

Always a great time and very happy to see they've combined the science fiction and music together on one ticket.
Lots of really cool interesting stuff a little overpriced for what it is though
The architecture of this building is very cool, and definitely worth stopping by to see from the outside. The exhibits inside aren't for everyone and depend on personal interest. You should look up what they're showing before deciding if it's worth a visit or not.
Pretty cool and stylish museum, we especially enjoyed the lab. Some of the exhibitions lack depth beyond pure nostalgia, and often there's no storyline.
It's a classic music museum. Enjoyed every inch of it's make. Mountain of guitars. Game maze, theater performance, scary movie archives,
Go early to see everything, there's a line for the marvel exhibit and it's usually totally filled with people so get pictures in when you can
This museum really takes care to offer exciting exhibits to the pop culture minded individual. Check out the marvel exhibit while it's still available.
Had a lot of fun exhibits, like the horror and Fantasy. We visited during the Minecraft exhibit.
The price is a bit pricey for what's shown inside. They have exhibits on science fiction characters and props, fantasy themed costumes and props, wearable art, games exhibit where you can try games and horror exhibit.
Very interesting museum. Mostly for teens and adults. The Marvel section should be free with admission, but I would do it if you like the Marvel universe. Spent three hours.
So awesome! Love the place, it's great for anyone who loves music!!
The EMP is pricey to enter, especially for a Canadian with our Monopoly money, but exceptionally worth it.
It s quite apparent lots of care went into the designing the experience of this museum. The Exhibits are thorough and interesting, the space is clean and the service is helpful.
I went mainly for the Star Trek 50th anniversary exhibit, but the Indie games room, Fantasy room and Infinite worlds Sci-Fi room pleasantly surprised me.
The giant screen just beyond the entrance is incredible as well.
I would highly recommend this place!
The jam rooms are the best feature of this place. With the hendrix exhibit .
Amazing! Great displays and history. Lots of exhibits for a well rounded experience.
Small museum but very dense with many interactive exhibits.
Interesting exhibitions and good discount with the Prime card. My favorite exhibitions were the fantasy, science-fiction and horror exhibitions.
The Holodome costs extra and had a two hour wait when we went, so we gave it a skip.
There are so many interactive areas, and they aren't even the best part. The museum really doesn't discriminate when it comes to what is and isn't allowed in a genre, and allows both new, and old to come in. This is a great place for people both young and old.
Lots of unique things to see. Would recommend for most everyone.
It was so worth it! My friend wanted to go and I was like 28$? hmmmm...so I went there with no expectations and it was amazing: we saw a famous hat from Harry Potter, a teddy bear from my favorite movie Artificial Intelligence, a robot from Terminator, a jacket of Indiana Jones a huge pile of musical instruments in the hall and many many more!
There's also a room where you can play video games and another room with drums, guitars, pianos that you can play, sing in a real studio and even mix something up as a real DJ.
Definitely recommend to go!
Definitely worth the price of admission. My family went on a weekday, and it wasn't too crowded. It is a beautiful museum, with a lot of hands on things to do. There are plenty of places to sit and watch videos, or just appreciate the art when your feet get tired. The Prince from Minneapolis display was amazing!!
Exhibits were good wish there was a bit more to it though.
Has a very similar vibe to the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame. I must see for music fans. Get a pass with the CityPass.
Really loved the whole experience! A truly unique gem of a museum. Would recommend it as a must see location for everyone!
Thia place is amazing it has new exhibits all of the time which is great if you live here and it has a great timeline of music in and outside of Seattle.
Cool place with fun exhibits. I did expect more though. We didn't do Marvel because the wait was extreme.
Disappointing version of it's former self. No longer worth it.
Must go if you like museums. Very fun place! Loved the horror and fantasy sections.
MoPop as it's called; Worth going.
I recommend a visit especially because it's such a one of a kind architectural building.
But aside from the outside, MoPop has many exhibits. There's a hall of fame of film, authors, anything pop culture. (Currently) there's a Pearl Jam and Nirvana area, both of which are very thoroughly curated as they're Seattle natives. A rotating featured exhibit like Marvel or Hello Kitty. Horror and scare history exhibit, fantasy exhibit, music area, and an Nintendo play exhibit.
Current admission is $28/adult.
I was in heaven from the beginning until the end. Our bartender was phenomenal and knowledgeable and made us perfect cocktails. The Prince and Pearl Jam tributes were amazing. I can't wait to go back again!
Museum of pop culture is a bit overstated. It's more about Seattle's music scene and it's performers with a bit of sci-fi and fantasy added asides. If Hendricks, Nivana, Pearl Jam, etc are your jam then this is the mother lode.
We had a ton of fun here. There is plenty to see and totally worth the visit. Take your time when you stop by & take plenty of pictures.
Really cool, loved the themed exhibits! Especially the horror, fantasy, and scifi sections! Not super interactive though.
This place is so cool, it's crazy! Once was not enough, I need to go back again and again and again...Now if I only lived closer.
If you love rock music, fantasy, scifi, and horror then this the place for you. The museum is interactive and a lot of fun.
Can get pretty crowded to the point where you can't really enjoy the exhibits. Don't go on a busy day, like the weekend. Also, some parts of the exhibits didn't work, especially in the videogame exhibit.
Really cool place! Lots of things to see, can easily spend 4 hours here. They close strangely early though, so don't get there too late!
This museum is one of the most unique ones I've been to in a while. Its focused around movies, TV shows, video games and music, there's a very good variety and all of them are very intriguing and interesting. It's very spaced out and detailed, and I didn't feel crowded or bored. I wish there was more sections to explore, but overall a very pleasant experience
Has a trekky, you can't miss that one. Amazing exhibition
I can't put into words how much I loved this museum. I am a big music fan and the interactive instruments on the 2nd level was outrageously fun. They are basically small rooms with different instruments, explaining how they work and how to play them. The instruments they use are also very good instruments and not some cheap brands.
The other exhibits such as the horror movie section and the space movie section were amazing. It's a wonderful collection of all the things that make these movies special.
What a fantastic museum! From Nirvana and The Foo Fighters, to Jimi Hendrix, and everything else in between. This is an awesome experience and a must see if you are visiting Seattle. I especially enjoyed the "History of Guitars" section, along with the fully playable/interactive instrument and recording studio area. Pricey, but definitely worth the money.
Would 100% recommend.
If you like movie props and just stuff, it's ok. Most of the exhibits are small. It's way too over priced.
We made a point of visiting one of the Seattle Center attractions while visiting town. The MoPOP made are list in part because of the Marvel experience. If you are Marvel fan, than this is totally worth it. The rest of the museum had some pretty neat stuff from Nivana to Jimmy Hendrix, but my own teenagers do not really know who either of these are. The Sci-Fi and Fantasy exhibits had some pretty neat stuff in them and some items that were unexpected and a nice surprise.
Excellent display of vintage guitars and sound/music related items. During my visit they also had a huge Hello Kitty exhibit. Not sure if that's permanent or not, but if you're a big HK fan, you don't want to miss this.
Loads of things to look at, many interesting exhibits
Really enjoyed the Star Trek exhibit, and seeing original costumes from The Princess Bride was awesome! Also learned something about the development of the electric guitar.
MoPop is a fun museum, with several Pop Culture exhibits, music exhibits, and hands on music area. I would recommend MoPop as a fun date night, a great place to take out of town guests for a good time, or somewhere to pass the time if you're up for a mosey and looking for something to do. I am personally excited about the current Star Trek and Jim Henson exhibits on display at MoPop. Go check it out!
Love the museum. There are a lot of fun things to do!!
Wow! what an amazing arcquitecture and a grear exposition occur very often. Come and visit!
Cheesy, touristy, but that might work for you. True Science Fiction fans will be disappointed. A youngster afraid of scary movies might be helped by seeing the not very scary reconstructions of horror movie props.
All the guitars. They got lots of Nintendo switch games :)
One of the most unique museums I have ever visited...the horror exhibit was quite eye opening for us as was the fantasy exhibit...they did have some Monty Python pieces there but I did not see any Game of Thrones which surprised me, a few Harry Potter items were on display and that was cool to see...the Prince exhibit was really amazing and did him proud...the permanent exhibit on Pearl Jam was awesome, I wanted to see more of the other Grunge bands like Alice in Chains (my favorite) and Soundgarden, but alas not much there...I wish the DFW area would find or build unique museums like this one...
This place is a real local treasure. Such an amazing collection. The Nirvana exhibit meant a lot to me, but there is something for everyone. I would encourage everyone to spend an afternoon exploring the exhibits.
Large museum filled with different pockets of entertainment. Theres a horror exhibit and fantasy / sci fi. You go in and get a sticker to wear as your admissions. It gets crowded but when we went, it was part of the free museum day sponsored by the Smithsonian.
Great interactive music area and cool exhibits of Hendrix and Nirvana
A few interesting exhibits. Too expensive for the hype. Pass.
So much to see and many hands on exhibits to experience
Amazing museum!! So much fun, spent hours in there while I was in Seattle!
A must see if you are a music lover, the section you get to play instruments was by far my favorite part. I am not really into sci fi so I did not check out that section.
Good but seems expensive.
Lovely outside park
This place is amazing. Cool references tip the culture I grew up in. Definitely come check it out if your in Seattle!
It is one of my top favorite places in Seattle. I went recently and saw the Marvel exhibition. I was very impressed with how everything was put together in all of the props and costumes that were featured even in the sci-fi and horror section of the museum is just fantastic!
I was there during the nerdy exhibits at PAX PRIME and I loved it! The staff are great people and the venue itself is awesome.
What an intriguing and super rad Museum! When I visited they had an awesome Marvel Exhibit with costumes and props actually used in Marvel movies! I got photos of real life props and costumes worn by the (super cool) actors. They have awesome music interactions, gaming sections, fan favorite parts and most importantly they have awesome exclusive exhibits! The Museum of Pop Culture is a very fun visit. From crazy creations to pop culture icons the MofPC is utterly awesome!
Sadly not that impressed. Not really all that much to see. Basically 4 or 5 exhibits total. Playing the instruments on the top floor was fun, but that's about it. Didn't pay the extra for the Marvel exhibit so I can't comment on that.
Fun family outing. Things for all ages. Played instruments in the sound proof room. Horror movie props.
TOTALLY AWESOME PLACE TO VISIT! EVERYONE WHO VISITS SEATTLE GO THERE.
Had the best time at this museum. Galleries and exhibitions of bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Hendrix, Prince. Must for music lovers!
