It was fun playing with the Jam Room and being able to heat and download a recording later. The ability to use an ns7 for a dj example is fun. Good for all ages. I would check what the featured exhibit is before going

I really enjoyed the fantasy, sci-fi, and horror exhibits at this museum, but the others weren't for me. It's a very personal preference kinda place I guess. Also, for a Monday, it was one of the most crowded museums I've ever been to. But I guess that means their doing something right.

This is my favorite museum in Seattle. It highlights the local, but it also showcases some of the best that American pop culture has to offer in music and cinema. I live in Seattle, so I bought a membership, and I come here frequently to enjoy the cool contemplative space of the Sound Church, the excellent rotating exhibits, and the props and costumes that send shout-outs to my formative years. Love this place.

Wow, whether you like sci-fi, fantasy or rock music, this museum has something for you! We even had the opportunity to visit the limited-time Star Trek exhibition - which was complete with actual props, costumes and models from many of the series.

The sci-fi exhibit (separate from the Star Trek exhibit) is also absolutely worth the visit. We also found the fantasy exhibit was super intriguing and also included set materials from all your favorite fantasy movies.

Highly recommend - and try the City Pass to get a discount on this and four other Seattle exhibits.

Compared to some of the other museums it didn't really have a lot and was priced pretty high comparatively. Took us two hours to see everything, compared to something like the field museum which took three hours to get through just a couple exhibits.

Expect to spend 3 hours here. Even in a hurry, you need at least 2. There is a lot to see and several of the exhibits are hard to find (upstairs or down, small stairwells, and tunnels). Those in a wheel chair may find this museum challenging.

I was disappointed with pricing inside the museum. I can see paying extra for the personalized experience putting you into a "movie", but an extra $8 just to see the Marvel Comic exhibit on top of the $28 entrance fee ensures I'm not going here again.

Had an absolute BLAST at this museum. While it isn't the biggest museum I've ever been to, there's a good amount to do and a TON of information. The horror exhibit that they have right now was super enjoyable and honestly my favorite part of the entire thing! Lots of props and costumes from horror movies/shows, and some neat information too (100 horror movies to see before you die!). The vibe in that area was SO cool. The fantasy room is amazing too! I wish that there was a little more to it but enjoyed every second. The sound stage is also very fun to mess around with some instruments. I hadn't played in a while so being able to just play around with different instruments that I have and haven't played before was amazing.

If you're in the area I 100% suggest going to MoPoP!

Absolutely fabulous place to go!! With many galleries to explore and look at including a hands on music lab. Had an amazing time and well worth the time!! Friendly and helpful staff. Parking available across the street and adjacent to the Seattle Center!! Makes for a wonderful day!

A fun and interesting 2nd visit. Some things I recall from several years ago, but, much of it is new. The sci-fi and horror film exhibits are great ... many artifacts from popular movies and shows. The music lab where you can play various instrument and use recording studio equipment was very popular. Jimmy Hendrix section also great. As was the Kurt Cobain and Marvel exhibits.. Cool multi-story guitar sculpture matter up of hundreds of guitars.

This is a must see in Seattle! The feature exhibit was great (and costs a bit more...) but all the regular ones are really cool too. The music area is a hit for kids and adults. The huge video wall is neat. Everything was well maintained. We will definitely do this again on our next visit.

The music part of the museum is a bit underwhelming. Maybe it's more interesting if you're a fan of the artists. The music installations are cool but in bed of refurbishment.
The science fiction and horror part of the museum is very cool but it's a bit in a lost corner.
Overall it's too expensive.

The museum is very cool and spans so many different aspects of Pop Culture and the history behind them each. Would never have thought to check it out if it wasn't for CityPass but I'm so glad that it was on the last because it was great!

The Minecraft exhibit was a lot of fun, my kids were able to interact with a favorite game on a whole new level...or on the same level they felt like they were interacting on all along, maybe? I felt like I was learning a lot, since I know next to nothing about Minecraft. Meanwhile, some of the older movie references at the rest of the museum made a fun conversation starter with my kids. Tons of great selfie opportunities in this place. Also, there's several Pokestops. WIN-WIN-WIN!

Exhibits and displays were good. However, I was disappointed with the fact that there was no real structure to the museum, so you ended up walking into other people, and also you could probably get into the museum without even paying the $26. A sticker stuck on you can't really count as a 'ticket', in my view. Congrats to anyone who got in without paying!

Best part of the museum was seeing the props of my favorite childhood movies. Such an awesome experience and one of my favorite places in seattle. Wish they'd bump the ticket prices down to $20 though.

The entrance is high its cost for what you will see for which you will have to be a music lover to call you 100% attention, does not have parking and around you will find a high cost.

First time there and only had an hour so we made a bee line for the Star Trek exhibit. Nice exhibit for this Trek fan. Fantasy and Sci-fi exhibit was also pretty cool. The horror area is too scary for me. I just stopped to check out the Xenomorph. Unfortunately we missed the Jim Henson exhibit. It is a little pricey but that is pretty much what I expected while in Seattle.

Interesting museum, contains a thousand curiosities and many small and large works of art. The world of comics and related characters has a real counterpart and in this museum you can see it all

So awesome! Laid down on the floor and people walked by us. Got to see some amazing floppy tails!! All sizes too

Restrooms are the best for friendly rail tail.
Bring lots of money. You'll spend it all on customer convenience in the restroom stalls, but totally worth it ;)

The perfect day for me. Got to lay down and enjoy the views with my friends.

Surprisingly poor. For a Museum of Pop Culture it just briefly addressed a few Washington bands. A quick Wikipedia read will tell more than the dedicated room to Nirvana. Such a great concept potential but such a poor execution in a prime location. The sound lab was interesting though.

Fantastic place. Had a great time walking around, reading about the history of horror films, Star Trek, and Jim Henson. Simply ran out of time for Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie. Would visit again!

My new favorite museum. What an amazing place. The sci fi, horror, and fantasy exhibits are truly awesome.

And the music lab is really cool. They have great exhibits for learning to play instruments.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone interested in music or sci fi!

I cant say enough about it!! If you grew up in the 90's this will hit home with you! I loved every minute of it!! Also, if you get the city pass package you will save a ton of money and get the full experience!!

MOPOP was mildly interesting. The guitar sculpture when we first walked in was by far, I feel, the most interesting thing there. I am a huge fan of science fiction, fantasy, and Nirvana so I was excited to get in and look around, but once inside, I just could not find anything to hold my interest. On top of that, we had paid $30 to get in (this included access to the Marvel exhibit), and from what I understand, it's Melinda Gates' project, but they actually were asking for donations for some of the exhibits. I do know many people who did have a wonderful experience at MOPOP, though, and couldn't say enough good things about it.

A mix of movie and music history. Was pleasantly surprised by the amount of things they have and the size of the interior. I honestly was half-and-half on even going but I'm very happy I did! If you were born in the 1900s, this is a must for you!
