I was reading reviews on your business and I never saw a Bussinesse such like this with with this low rating. You better close your company rather than take people s money. Please do this you will help Yourself and consumers like me.

Horrible company OMG the the machine broken down on a Friday evening while we were in the middle of service the service guy told me to wait till Monday to call in again I mean really omg this company is such a scam don't go with them the sell guy never showed up again bad bad bad

Be careful, don't trust them at all. ask them to leave the contract with you and don't sign it unless you ask all the details ( ben though there is no details in their contract). they gave me only first 6 pages of the 16 page contract and insured me there is no monthly fee and i can cancel the service without cancelation fee. The EVO Canada charged me $60 on the first month($30 for monthly fee+$30 i pay account) i never asked for the spay account. over 4 mounts I payed more than $500 to the company for some stupid made up fees which wasn't mentioned in the contract pages that I signed. Finally after spending more than 10 hours on the phone I had to pay another $500 to cancel the service.
For some time we were very poorly served and today a Jasmine did a remarkable job and she stayed on the line until all our problems are solved a big 5 star for Jasmine

A Couple of years ago I met a rep from EVO and he sounded legit so I signed up with him (ADAM). He told be that they would cover the cost to cancel my previous account. They rate looked reasonable. I found out after I signed up that they didn't cover the cost to cancel my previous account and I had to pay myself to cancel. Plus I'm just a small art shop in Rockland ON. I told him that this was not working for me and my business the monthy cost were to high. We switch to a card reader only that I could hook up on my computer and just take in credit cards. I tried it for a while, and because of my low volume of purchase this didn't work either. He promised me he would cancel my account and this has been going on for over 2 years now. I keep getting phone calls and letter from them. I tried to explain this to the machine company and they didn't want to listen to me. They still think I have the large machine. I've tried several occasion to contact my rep (ADAM) he said he would do something about it and he never did. Now they are threatening me to go to court and now they say I how them over 1000$. Now I have to get a lawyer and fight this in court. I even tried to send the card reader back and they will not take it back. Adam told me he would come over and pick it up and he never did.
I get an INSANE amount of calls regarding credit card processing to the point want to rip my hair out, but I humored a call from Evo and after very pleasant conversation with one of their Agents (extremely kind and layed back gentleman by the name of Kevin) I was shown on my statement all these junk fees i'd been paying for YEARS, the took 45% off my monthly bill and my rep is so proactive I count be more happy and satisfied with my service from them. Its rare you get good pricing for rates AND reliable customer support, so I'm highly recommending EVO to anyone looking for a processor that can ACTUALLY save you money and does a good job keeping in touch PROACTIVELY lol
I read the reviews and was skeptical with all these business owners saying bad things about the company however this company only has 170 bad reviews out of 600,000 merchants that's less than half a percent and my sales rep said "if i told you, there was a 99.5% chance you'd be happy and taken care of would you take it?" he offered me a 60 day trial and i ended up loving the service as my sales rep kept following up with me, the day i got my terminal he called and installed and the day i got my statement he called me and went over the numbers. I have been with this company now for 14 months and i have no complaints. if the sales rep is dedicated and sticks to his word the service will always be great. I'ts unfortunate how there are bad seeds in every company that drag the company down. A+ For Evo!
I have been a customer of EVO for almost 6 years now, I was using Square or Paypal for my business, what a rip off. EVO gave me a state of the art, 2019 EMV compliant mobile device that also came with a FREE virtual terminal! That was the icing on the cake for me, I was at my craft show and had forgotten the mobile swiper, I didn't lose any sales due to the Free Virtual Terminal and not to mention the cost , at least 60% cheaper than Square. Oh and forgot to mention their referral program is the best, I've received over $600.00 in referral bonuses. EVO customer for life.

Terrible customer service!!! I called them in March to cancel the virtual terminal. After waiting for an hour over the phone I talked to their agent. They said someone will call me in 5 days to speak about cancellation. After a week they called and said that I have to email them to request cancellation in the month of May. I emailed them on May 6. They never responded!!! They are stilling charging me!!! I will report them to Consumer Protection Ontario. Never use them or you can't get out!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROVIDER!! As a small business just starting up, I was lured into using this company to process online credit card payments from my **very few** clients, with a promise of low rates. What a total joke. During the months of lockdown, when I was not even processing payments - EVO charged me anyway. And other months I am being charged between $70-$100 PER TRANSACTION. How this company is allowed to be in business in Canada is beyond me.
Dishonest company with highly questionable and shady business practices. Everyone from initial sales rep to the risk department are corrupted and interested in instant gratification rather then establishing boundaries for growth. Customer service reps are kind but are ultimately useless asides from filtering issues. False sense of entitlement among the higher ups have them believing they can actually get away with their scrupulous business. He who laughs last will last hardest. Dont bother to reply with a generic message implying any sense of care. Numbers dont lie; the thousands of terrible reviews should be reason enough for serious change but the lack of action shows the true character of the 'company'.

i give zero star, DON'T TRUST walk in sales person from evo canada. they lied me, i canceled because high cost, (not what the fee said by sales person tell you, they lied you )but they never told me i have equipment leased from FIRST DATA LEASE for FIVE YEARS (not same as your contract, the leasing fee is hided inside, ! !!. why they still charging me, even i ended the contract! keep away with this company!
i have been with Evo for 3 years now and whenever i have any issues they always help me out, The terminal i got from them was having issues after 2 years but with the help of customer service they were able to expedite a brand new one to me for free! Whenever i have problems i just reach back out to my Account handler and they help me right away. Very transparent company. i have recommended them to 10 of my community members.
for all the business owners that complained i would recommend to get an account manager so you deal with a specific person that knows your account not just customer service.
Do not contact this company they cheat a lot. They give you useless terminal machine. There technical support did not know how to fix machine. Change new machine they will charge you a lot money.
Trust is a hard thing to come by with me. I've worked as a hair stylist for 17 years and have been through everything in the industry you can imagine, even been robbed at gunpoint in 2009!! I switched to EVO from Vantiv or whatever the heck they were called and finally my money knows peace. The machines were given to me for free and I get priced collectively with all the Salons in my area, making my rates lower than anything other companies have quoted me. It hasn't been perfect nor did I expect it to be, but I have my own account manager behind the scenes who crushes any issue that rears its ugly head and is very patient with me over the phone (I can be very volatile when upset) Faizon always gives me kind understanding attitude and I think if the industry had more people dedicated to actually HELPING, people wouldn't be slamming the phone down the second they get a call from a processing company. I am compelled to give my service 5 stars.
What a ridiculous company! I am trying to change my banking information with them and so far it's been over 2 weeks and they haven't been able to update my account. How can they possibly take so long - what a disorganized company with zilch customer service.

I called before the service many time and they don't know when my contract finish .
When you call this number you are routed to the US, they can not answer any questions, My system is down, I was 2 hours yesterday and I have been on hold or trying to get help over 2 hours so far today. SO FAR, I am still on hold. If you stay on hold too long it reroutes you to the US again and the process starts ALL OVER. I understand my system is not obsolete BUT no no one contacted us to say this was going to happen. I only give it 1 star because 0 is not an option.
Please don't even think for second to trust them they are not honest. Biggest liars
1) I purchased my ingenico terminal from them. It would not process PayPass. Their solution: they sent me a beat up piece of crap and I had to send in my new terminal to replace it! Mind you I paid for the terminal in the first place - I don't rent it.
2) Terminal malfunctions: if there is a power glitch, the terminals go down and will not sync with the network w/o a long drawn out process to reset them. Not easy to train new staff to deal with issues. (I bought UPS' to alleviate that - not a bad thing to have in any case).
3) Error resolution: If we make an error and over charge a customer and then try to correct it via EVO, the process, over the phone, takes 1 - 2 hours.
4) Phone service: Horribly long waits and misdirecting phone menus.
It's been 3 years - will be looking for a new payment processor in 2017 when this contract runs out.
Worst company ever!! Trying to cancel our account since October!!! The store is even closed and we gave back our terminal and still have charges! How the hell can u do that if we r not in business ? It's a real scam!!
In early Sept, 2020, I cancelled the merchant service of EVO Canada, and also I performed the cancellation steps as required. They asked me to provide signed documents by email, and I did so. Then they provide the address for sending the POS back. I did so, and they received the POS in early Sept, 2020. However, I was still charged by them for more than four months, from Sept to Dec, 2020. On Dec 1, I called to ask them why they didn't cancel the service in Sept, they let me send the same email one more time. I did on Dec 2. After that, the lies began, and they did not admit that the cancellation email they received in September, only admitted that they received on December 2nd. The money that they over charged will not be return. This is a liar company full of all kinds of lies and deceit.
I never write reviews. But I don t want anyone to fall into this trap.

Was contacted a few times about this service and decided to use Google reviews to help make my decision and it's didn't look positive at all with a two out of a posable 5 stars , and while reading thru the reveiws found the name of the sales rep that is presently trying to sign me up in the list but had a very good 5 star review .

Horrible business practice! This company is a total scam! Just called them to find out that they closed our account about a month ago for no reason. No email from them, no phone call. Now stuck with a 3000$ lease on their outdated equipment. Tried calling them and another 45 minutes of useless talk.

I don't know how much you are getting paid for all nonsense that you wrote as a reply but your company should honor you for great imagination ability that you have.
I never been contacted for installation except one time from rude, unprofessional and unethical lady not half dozen that's not true.
You never do agree with anyone s statement about your horrible company, that s obvious because you are getting paid from there. But look at +100 review that you have all arguing about you probably you want to say they are wrong and you're right !!!!!!
About all documents that I signed yes you are right I missed to check because of trust to EPOS Now company referral to your company.
I am responsible and my exact point is the way that your company trained sales person for scamming peoples like me is unprofessional when they force us to sign everything electronically over the email without any explanation.

I had an issue with our POS terminal. Called many times and after 4hrs on hold got disconnected and nowhere. To cancel the account I called back a few days later and within 15 minutes ended up talking to Josh. He was exceptionally polite and professional and explained perhaps why the long delay in answering and taught a trick how to circumvent the system. I went from cancelling my account to upgrading my POS terminal (no charge) and am now possibly having my rates reduces by another polite and professional representative, Peter. If only they could facilitate a better telephone and on-line system for customer support/service, then maybe I'd give them 5 stars.

I was with Chase Paymentech for 7 years before I switched over to Evo Payments last year. I was told I had the best rates in the industry for years from other quotes and companies so I stopped taking the solicitation calls and walk in reviews. Boy am I glad I made an exception with this one!!!
Kevin, one of their corporate reps reviewed my statement from Chase and found I was overpaying on the backend by like 25%. Not only did Evo Lower my monthly bill by something close to 200 dollars, they gave me a machine to try out free for a few months. I half expected to get like a refurbished piece of junk but was pleasantly surprised that I got like an 800 dollar machine, or as my rep calls it "the Ferrari of terminals" hahah!
I can't wait until Feb when the free gift card program starts, then its open season and the $$$ will really flow!!!
I worked with a rep named Fayzon and I was skeptical in the beg but everything he said was what I got billed, he was there from setting me up to, installing my terminal. Every time I had a question he answered in a timely fashion. He gives the best customer service And the two girls catherine and Angelica are a good team. he s deff somebody I will be referring business too. He under promises and over delivers which is why I will send him my friends and family.

Terrible wait times, up to 1 hour on hold. We are a merchant, with a swiped transaction that was not deposited. After 45 days they say they see the transaction, but still can not credit our account. No supervisor available, no one calls back.

Many many many "connection errors" have spent countless hours "on hold" trying to talk with Tech Support. Have never been able to talk with anyone, have never had a return email or call back. Worst service I have ever experienced. So many other Payment services out there, will be moving my account.
I have been with these liars for about 4 months. my terminal went down last month and after 45 min and tech support I assumed it was fixed. it went down last week, tech support wasted over an hour trying to update again and terminal froze. I have been waiting for a week now! Not able to process my clients cards! No one calls me back and sales team wouldn't even take My call!

Never do business with them. They have been holding my money for more than 2 weeks and give false information about the processing time. Do not correct the situation even after their investigation and fool me by letting the delays lag and to keep my money while they know the file since last June.
Use employees to avoid answering you. They play with their clients' money, claiming that it is the system that blocks money. Avoid this company.

One of there rep came to my business and i fill the application to start. for first 2 month i didn't even get my machine, and when it arrived after 2 month it was used and broken had to order new one, next time again same thing broken machine. so decided not to go with them anymore and canceled my order, t's been 4 month since that i didn't get my money back and they are still charging me for the service which i never got? totally scam

I am seeing a lot of negative things about this company, but they were amazing with me! I am a small business owner and I am always happy to save money. I was transferred to a young lady (Tracey.. something? - I'd have to check my paperwork for her full name) but regardless, she was very upfront about all charges expected, outlined the entire contract with complete clarity and transparency. I even asked her about the Facture news piece I'd seen (because anyone worth their salt does their research, and I wanted to know more) and she explained that the company used to have independent sales people who were third party contractors to Evo. There were 2 of said sales persons who were not being honest in their dealings with prospective clients. Evo no longer has dealings with these people and seems to be very committed to providing great services for fair prices. I would recommend this company to anyone!!

They put a hold on our deposits due to an unusual sized transaction and then said it would take up to 2 weeks to release the funds to us. No apology, no action to remedy the situation, just told to provide confidential information and wait for them to get around to straightening out the account.
It appears to be their way to hold onto money longer. Normally it takes them 2 days to process transactions where other companies do it in 1 day.
Not at all happy with this company.

It is very unfortunate that the US branch and Canada Branch arent in sync with the information they provide.
I have only had your service for a month with no issues of chargebacks or rejects.
I was misinformed by this branch about my processing and who to talk with in regards to my account.
I am a small business owner who uses out of pocket money to source for capital to grow my business, i am also an international residence.
They closed my account due to going over limit but the Canadian office advised me to contact them if i was going over the limit which i did.
I have every conversation recorded via voice i had with all the Evo canada representatives(i have the names of some as well).
Now they are holding all my small business earnings for 270 days with no valid reason. Each time i call this company they transfer me to the US department who transfer me back.
It is really hurting and i will advise every small business not to ever use them
They are extremely bad at what they do. The salesman was leaning on our counter bar and broke an expensive glass case didn't even apologize and walked out. This is how tell how professional they are out.

Fees, fees and expenses. Impressive. Cheap rate for basic cards but when we realize that all have cards to point, there are more cheap rates. Fees for physical terminal programming or just for your WEB terminal, $ 119.00 per year so that it keeps everything safe and up to date. Plus a $ 30 a month transaction management fee ... awesome WOW. Do not register please! Girls in customer services; when you can talk to them, they are very nice and polite, but it's not worth the inconvenience.
Running your business is such a task in itself. At my catering company I'm up at all hours just trying to maintain relationships as well as uphold my reputation because, most of my business is word of mouth. I don't treat the first customer as a one time client even if they are. One day I get a referral call for a party of 80 which is larger than I typically take at once. I made an exception and took the risk for the benefit of my business. I was nervous because, my last provider held my money afterwards what a nightmare! My account representative at EVO mentioned to give a call whenever I have a big transaction coming in ahead of time so this is exactly what I did. EVO made this process easier than I could possibly imagine especially that I was anxious I could be risking so much money at once, let alone paying my employees to do the job and having to wait on the profit. I wanted to write this review to share that I received my funds the next day as promised with no hiccups. I never have to worry again and I no longer field calls from competitors. There's nothing like having piece of mind running an establishment. MERCI EVO!

shady so called processor that signs up accounts and cancels them so that by the time they are legally required to pay, the business is no longer around. Has changed names many times...Evo Canada, Canadian Retail Payment group. You would not even hear their real name because when they actually solicit your business, they call themselves Global Payments (the name of the network owner whose network they borrow) Funny how a shady middleman would call themselves a name given to a huge multinational. If you visit their facebook page, they even removed the review tab that horrible the reviews actually were...
We made a big mistake by doing business with this company ! An even bigger mistake was buying one of their card readers & finding out later it was outdated and we could not use it with someone else after they ripped us off . We were told at the time of purchase that we would not be charged push fees, after giving them $1600 for the machine & setting this all up , we were charged push fees & when we complained EVO CANADA cut off our service & kept the money that they owed us totaling about $ 500
The incompetance is strong with this company. The "customer service" is pathetic. The actual service? Expect them to fraud you. Horrible.
Don't work here. Better to work for the cartel, no false pretences.
I've received 30 emails in just over a month, from the same woman, with the exact same content; Clementine Murray. This has absolutely solidified my non-interest in EVO payments and I will go out of my way to ensure none of my clients use your service.
Interac terminal that often bugs, always calling for reconfigured, bad customer service. Fees for this, fees for ca. Then you want to change company, forget about it. Exorbitant contract breakingIn addition to being more expensive than its competitors. I do not recommend at all. Look elsewhere. It's not even worth 1 star.
Company of very bad reputation, incompetent staff, hidden fees, terminals of very poor quality, broken down in the first week, to replace me claim $ 79 shipping costs, cashed doubly one of my clients. I had to call them myself to rectify the mistake, (they did not even realize). Looking forward to meeting you in court .... finally conflict has been solved amicably)
The machine was out of order again in a week after I got a replacement. The delivery of replacement unit was delayed again and again. Need more than a hour to connect to the service center. The worst service !!!
Horrible customer service, unable to speak to anyone, to get support during an outage, exorbitant contract cancellation fees due to multiple and repeated outages. Do business with anyone else except EVO.

Its so hard for a vape shop to get any company to work with me because of the whole "high risk" BS. Luckily I talked to one of EVOs account managers and they were able to get me approved in like 3 days. Been with them for like 8 months now and I haven't had any of these problems besides a chargeback dispute, and my rep Fayson solved that pronto with me just going about my business. They really do take care of small business and if my review here means anything, take my advice and check them out before you go with a bank or like some rinky dink local provider $$$$$$$$ :)

After reading all the 1 star reviews and being with the company for about a year now...5 stars on my part without question. I have been dealing with Tracy over at EVO Canada for our online business Botanicuniverse and have had no issues with anything. They consistently take our requests for limit increases and activate new MIDS when need be. All settlements and payments are like clock work. I would highly recommend them if you are an online business. Can't speak much on physical terminals but there online services are fantastic. Good luck to everyone....maybe the 1 stars should try contacting Tracy over at EVO Canada and see if she can help.
Absolutely the worst service provider in the industry. No customer support and cancelation fees are an absorbanant 500.00. The hidden monthly fees are forever increasing. Go with costco elavon....always.
This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Had an error message and kept "losing a line" and having to restart. Couldn't process payments unless we restarted. Tried to get a hold of technical support and waited on hold for 1 1/2 hours to be transferred to a call center in the states. They couldn't help me and took a message. Haven't heard from anyone. Sent an email as well. Still haven't heard back from anyone. It has been over two weeks and no one has returned my call.
I sent an email requesting to cancel my service - surprise, didn't get a phone call or email. Finally got a hold of someone in sales who said they would have someone return my call. Still haven't received a call (it has been two days).
I would give this company a 0 star if I was able to. We had been sent a machine mid July to be set up August 11th. We were charge for the month of July. When we set up in August we had nothing but problems. The machine wouldn't process any transactions and would automatically cancel whatever we tried to get our clients to pay. We called numerous times with no success in resolving the problem. Finally after 2 weeks of hell they sent us another machine. This one didn't work at all!! Again, many failed attempts to have a technician come to see what the problem was. We were told 24-48 hours and after a week of not hearing from them we decided to cancel. At sign up we were told we had 30 days to try the machine and if we weren't satisfied to call and cancel without any fees. Well guess what? We cancelled September 2d. Had not heard anything from them afterwards so assumed everything was ok. October comes and we were charged for the FULL month of September. And if that wasn't enough I receive a letter in the mail at the end of October stating that I owe them $500 and it is over 30 days overdue and it has been sent to a collection agency! I was not aware of this as I had been specifically told we had 30 days to cancel! I am livid. The departments clearly don't talk to each other because they have asked for their machine back today when it was sent back in September when we had originally cancelled. RUN from this company! They will take your money and will seemingly stop at nothing to do so. The customer service is below satisfactory. A bunch of people who have been barely trained to answer your questions and long hold times. As for me, I am still dealing with them unfortunately and hoping, more than likely in vain, for a fair turnout.
Stop calling my business!!! They call every mounth this is a scam... I'm not interested....
