Staff was nice but my wife and I felt super uncomfortable and left within a minute. None of our offsets were the fault of the establishments. We should have done more research because we didnt expect it to be in someones house and the reception area be in the basement... Also when they say "clothing optional" they really mean "everyone behind that curtain is totally naked." That kinda upset my wife and made me feel weird. Again no fault to the spa. They understood our concerns and didn't charge us a dime.

Everett House is an incredible place. The facilities are sparkling clean, wonderfully thought out, and beautiful. I feel a sense of calm the second I walk through the door. I cannot say enough good things about this peaceful haven. Thank you for existing Everett House!

My favorite self care is a soak, steam room, and sauna session at Everett house. I'm so thankful for this place. The little tea house is a lovely addition for light refreshments. The price is also so right.

Great vibe, staff, and amenities. I always feel so great after leaving this place. I like the feel of their multiple small spaces with the steam room, saunas, float tanks, and showers in the basements, and the spa and cold tubs outside under the trees and sun. Mixes it up a bit, which I like :) Also, they offer a nice lil discount if you carpool/bike/walk/transit/horseback it.

i just love this spot. the soaking tub is deep and the jets are strong for working sore muscles. the steam room and sauna are great for heating up cold bones. after all that it s so nice to cool down with a kombucha or tea by the fire or dunk in a cold tub. the bonsai and trees around all contribute to a zen mindset. everyone is respectful and it feels like a safe space for all. always a treat to visit after a long week. my partner and i always make plans to stop in as part of dates, it s such a healing place. enjoy as we do!

Couldn't print my groupon but the staff was so helpful and got me checked in anyway. Had a GREAT massage and then the pool with a waterfall for my shoulders removed any of my residual knots.
I will be back.

Every town should have one of these. I m on the east coast now and Everette house is one of the gems I miss from my hometown. You can t beat naked hot tubbing outside in the middle of the city...unless, of course, it s followed by massage and an adjustment...and maybe another soak.

I went on Sunday evening with no appointment and had to be in the waitlist for about 20 minuets which was perfect, the place was very clean and the staff was helpful, when it comes to clothing optional they really mean that, I was the only one putting my short on

The Everett House Community Healing Center is a vital part of my personal wellness, and I believe an equally important part of the community's wellness as individuals who have access to this place leave with an energy and mindfulness that carries over to other interactions outside of the center. From the massage services that helped me in processing pain from an emergency cesarean from my second daughter's birth in 2015, to the chiropractic care I accessed to recover from an accident during the snowstorm of 2016, to the sauna where I can connect with a practice that is fundamental to me culturally, to the spa tub where I can soak my sore muscles in warmth and calmness not available at home where I am on non-stop as a mom...Everett House has been a place I can count on for healing!

As a plus(ish)-sized native woman, I consider the Everett House to be actively inclusive and body-positive. The facilities are clean and well-managed, and the vibe is homey! I have witnessed personally the peacefulness that this setting and its services afford to people in an otherwise frantic and stressful world. Not only does Everett House offer a wide range of supports to help keep Portland residents healthy, it also serves as a feature that distinguishes Portland to visitors as a place that is progressive and accepting! The professionals who work here are great service providers who work hard to create a sense of balance and safety. As a survivor of trauma, Everett House is very rare in its ability to provide a space that is offering different services in an environment that feels orderly and safe. I need the Everett House in my life, because it helps maintain my inner harmony, and I know I'm not the only one! <3

Was told to be quiet in the locker room while I helped my wife with the combination to our lock even though two other women were having a full blown conversation at the same time. It was our first time and my wife and I felt unwelcomed. Will not be returning. If you're a person of color, I would not recommend.

Pretty laid back and interesting. My wife took me here for my birthday and we did the floatation therapy. They didn t have anyone assist me in finding the actual tanks so I had to go find someone and get directions. So it s a little too care free for first timers. Would have been nice to have someone show you where to go and give a little more instruction after checking in. But that wasn t that big of a deal. It s a beautiful property. Loved the hot tub and cold tubs. Sat in the sauna after my therapy and enjoyed a nice sweat. Overall really liked this place and would recommend. The floatation therapy was really cool and noticed a big difference in my emotions a couple days later. Very interesting.

This is where I go when I'm in a bad mood. It is impossible not to feel better within 15 minutes of settling in. I've been dozens of times and I've always felt comfortable. Everyone is respectful. It's like what your dream backyard would be, and feels just as cozy (down to the neighborhood cat that seems to enjoy it just as much as everyone else). Every massage includes a spa session, which is unbeatable.

This is my favorite place in the whole wide world. It is my oasis for soaking, sweating, and steaming my sore joints and muscles. Also just a great place to comfortably read a book with a nice cup of tea or meditate. I absolutely love the friendliest staff in the world! It is impossible not to end up in a great mood after an hour here. Can I just live here?

Pros: Very clean and nice facilities. I have been going for over a year now. The saunas are very well maintained and the waterfall in the hit tub feels amazing. I like that the outdoor showers have temp controls. They have nice smelling soap.
Cons: The staff at the front desk never answer the phone which is frustrating when trying to coordinate an appointment. They want you to book everything online, and are not prompt at returning phone calls. My mother is older and found this very frustrating as well.

I bought the groupon for floating session. Simply if you are late like little bit(10min) the manager says your floating session is gone and you have to pay full additional price for spa and sauna. It took me more than 40min to get there and I just came back with nothing. Actually given the fact that it looked so much smaller than I thought, and since I saw the review of inappropriate hygiene in this place, it was probably better for me just not to use their facility. Anyway, thank you for screwing my day!

Ahhhhh. Hot water, steam room, sauna, tea house, fire pit ... Everything that is good, decent, and wonderful in the world. This and Common Ground are two of my favorite relaxation spots in Portland, but honestly Everett House wins out for location (closer to downtown) and amenities (Common Ground doesn't have a steam room, and their sauna is nowhere near as hot.) Everett House can get busy, though, and as far as I can tell booking a massage takes for-EVER (I tried to book a 60 minute wrap recently and the earliest appointments were ~2 weeks out.) But hey, that's success for you!

Inclusive environment with gorgeous backyard. Bamboo and trees create a lush quiet environment. The large kidney hot tub is set by outdoor showers, lounge chairs and a gas fire pit. Clothing optional.

As nice as this place is, the only way to get in, around and out of the spa includes climbing many spaces. The place isn't wheelchair accessible at all nor is it very accessible for anyone else with a physical disability. I asked in person if there was any way for me to access the spa without climbing all the stairs because i have chronic pain and use a cane to walk, but was told in person there was no accessible path. I called on the phone to see if there was some way i could go to the spa, but there really is not way for most physically disabled folks to be included here and no clear information owning up to that on their website or any promise to improve their facility to what i believe is a really basic standard in the future. They shouldn't be allowed to call this place a healing center if it is completely unusable for disabled people.

Very disappointed in this place. I bought my boyfriend a groupon since I'm not familiar with all of Portland and he needed to relax for a very important week, and this place has good reviews on groupon so I wanted him to try out this place and perhaps he would return. Never ever wasting time with this place! Horrible service.
My boyfriend had a horrible massage by a man named Andrew. He was not gentle nor applied enough pressure. He mainly used his elbows and not his hands, and instead of gentle massages, he gave my boyfriend up and down streaks with barely no pressure nor comfort.
Andrew did not speak nor communicate, nor checked in with my boyfriend during his one hour massage. My boyfriend was vocal at the beginning of the session but Andrew didn't even speak on what he suggested or asked my boyfriend what he would like. A massage therapist is suppose to be vocal, gentle, and relaxing for their clients! I'm glad I didn't pay the full price because I would've been more pissed!! This is unacceptable.
When my boyfriend checked in, he expected to be able to relax before the massage at the jacuzzi or sauna but instead was told he had to have the massage first. Not sure if this part was protocol, but they should say it and be more specific in their instructions.

Beautiful place! Saltwater hot tub, sauna and steamroom in the spa. You can even get hot tea and kombucha on tap from their tea house while in the spa! Massage, chiropractic and floatation tanks with an appointment available too! If you need self care, this is the place for you. It is co-ed and clothing optional but if you have an open mind it's really not a big deal.

It is what it claims; healing house. Always good energy at this place, people are very kind and respectful. Beautiful well kept grounds. Great hot tubs, cold tubs also. Nice sauna. As well as float tanks.
The massage service is a perfect addition. Try a soak, massage then more soak package! It's definitely worth it!

Relaxing clothing optional spa experience with charming outdoor hot tub and lounge chairs. Two separate saunas and a steam room complete the nicely appointed amenities. Check for times when few people visit for the best experience.

Portland's original clothing optional day spa. Excellent, attentive staff. Peaceful, no hassle environment. Clean facility with saunas, a hot pool, and a cold plunge. Don't forget to visit the house next door for the amazing steam bath in the basement. Best times to visit are in the evening when things are quieter and less crowded. Massage and float tanks are available for an extra charge. Tea House next door has a window that serves those using the spa. A great addition.

Very kitschy Day Spa. They think a lot of themselves and it shows. Extremely inflexible in their policies. Was easy to find many alternatives in town that were far more flexible and even cheaper. Do not in any way recommend.

This is my favorite place to soak if it s not at capacity. Unfortunately it s hard to predict. They do show how many people are in the queue on their site. I checked and only 2 people were waiting. On the drive it grew to several more. Upon arriving, the wait was over an hour. It s a 20m drive but inconvenient to turn right back around again. As this place grows in popularity, I hope they develop a better system because I truly love the experience here. No reservations, no exceptions will only work for a less popular space in my opinion.

This spot is hard to locate. Only the brave and wise will find it. But once you do, it's like a small piece of paradise. This clothing-optional spa has a lot to offer the weary traveler with a relaxing, non-judgemental, and welcoming atmosphere. The money required for entry is a small price to pay for an escape from the bustling city life. Their website has a good explanation of their services, so check it out for deets.

Their salt water hot tub is the perfect way to relax!! Nice fire pit out back too. Priced a little high. Bring your own towel/s or rent theirs. 2 required if you will be sitting nude anywhere, other than than the hot tub.

I've been here a few times and have always had a great experience. I prefer it over common grounds because it's more social (there is still a quiet experience to be had if one desires), sauna is bigger (on the social side) and there is a steam room (great for the sinuses). The one downside I see is that they do not have a dedicated parking lot (because it's two converted houses in a neighborhood) so it is entirely possible to have to park far depending on the time of day. Go just as they open to take advantage of their happy hour (2 hours for the price of one).

This is one of my local favorites that's hard to share.

This is literally my favorite luxury in the city. It's quaint set in two houses in inner NE but thought out perfectly utilizing all the space available to them. Outdoor salt water spa tub, perfect in the rain or at night you can see the stars.

$ is 18 something/hour but they also offer so many other services and if utilized you typically get a discount on your spa time. They also have happy hour prices.

Tip: double check the website for hours and costs as they tend to change seasonally and it's hard for other websites to keep up.

The staff is always friendly, the facilities are clean and it's well worth your time and money.

This is the ultimate TREAT'cho self!

It's been years since I've been to the Everett Street house. I was extremely confused, when Common Ground Wellness Center moved. I just assumed that there were no more hot tubs and saunas at Everett Street.

A friend of mine informed me a couple weeks ago that Everett Street is still open. I honestly almost cried tears of joy. The other place I spoke of just isn't my thing, not the same Vibe, not the same feel and I don't like it. Nuff said.

I love the new renovation. The fire pit is kind of cool. The waterfall is relaxing. The Teahouse with a variety of kombuchas on stock is a treat after a good soak.

It's different from 10-15 years ago but it's nice. Different yet in a good way. I used to go to Common Ground to relax and rejuvenate myself. I thought that was lost forever, when they moved.

Everett House Community Wellness Center is nothing short of self-care at its finest. Healing vibes and solace. I'm so grateful that Everett House is still open.

This is one of my favorite things about this city. I've never left this place stressed or having any negative emotions in my presence. Love bringing new people here and showing them the ropes.

My first real spa experience.

My first real spa experience.
I'm pretty sure they've ruined me for any other spa out there.
The massage therapists are particularly good at what they do (get a whole hour, you'll thank yourself later!).
The outdoor areas are all extremely well kept, and their big Cedar fence and foliage creates the perfect separation from the outside world around them.
The larger soaking pool/hit tub's bubble/jets were down for maintenance when we visited, but otherwise the pool was at the perfect temperature and extremely clean without the use of harsh chemicals.
They have beautiful old cast iron tubs for a cold water dunk, as well as stand up showers if that's what you prefer.
The large sauna was very well maintained, and clean. It smelled of cedar and pine, not old gym clothes... Which was quite pleasant.
They have a second building for more private and quiet soaking and sauna, as well as salt water float tanks.
Towards the back of the common area is a little drink and snack bar that has delicious local offerings.
Finally, as to the elephant in the room;
Yes, they are clothing optional, but the way they handle it makes the experience completely safe, natural, and comfortable. You can use a bathing suit, or towel, or even rent a sarong if you prefer to remain covered. The only tricky part was finding a place to park.

A very cool place to unwind in a steamy escape. From a public open air hot tub with a waterfall, the Tea House that is steps away where you can indulge in Kombucha, Tea, and Coconut water to cool your insides.

My wife was concerned about the clothing optional aspect, but was put at ease when most of the other female patrons sported bikini bottoms, while others embraced the liberating aspect of full nudity, and some others wore bathing suits.

It's not creepy, but a very respectful and relaxing atmosphere.

We were informed that it could be an hour wait, sat in their lobby for 20 minutes, and were told that we could go inside.

Very much worth the wait, cannot wait to go back again!

I'd add photo's, but they confiscate your phones up front so no one CAN take pictures.

Beautiful grounds regardless...

The soak and sauna options were wonderful. Based on their website, I wasn't sure if it's clothing-optional until I arrived, and thankfully it is. The outdoor hot tub, large dry sauna, and steam room were all very nice and very hot, perfect! The uncovered patio offers a fire pit, walk up kombucha / tea bar, showers, claw foot tubs, lounge chairs, and a nice big hot tub with lots of powerful jets and even a little hot waterfall you can chill under! Lots of nice spaces to just ... relax!! I left floating.

Up until recently, I was practically a never-nude. If you had told me I would have enjoyed a place like this I would have never believed you. Something in the back of my mind told me to just go for it, and I honestly believe it has changed my life for the better!

All of the fellow bathhouse users have been nothing but friendly and respectful. I have never felt judged or uncomfortable in my handful of times going here. If the need arises, there are staff on hand that roam the grounds that you can alert and they will take care of it. I believe it is everyone's responsibility to help keep this a safe and respectable zone where everyone can just relax and exist as they are.

Everett House is pretty big with multiple buildings and two separate outdoor areas. Both buildings have showers and locker rooms. The main building is a talking-permitted zone and in my experience is more heavily trafficked. If you prefer more privacy and quiet, you can get changed in the main locker room and then immediately exit outside (wearing a towel) into the second building. The second building has showers (a little bit more cramped than the main building but there is a divider), a steam room, and a small hobbit-sized sauna, all of which I have frequently had to myself even during busy hours.

I highly recommend this experience to everyone. So much so that I got the unlimited 90-minute spa club membership. At $125 per month you only need to go 5 times a month to make it worth it which seems very doable. In addition, you also can bring a guest with you and they get 50% off every time. There can be a long waitlist during busy hours but a membership lets you call ahead and reserve space which is really nice.

They hold your camera and ID upfront which is a very smart move, and thus no photos.

Cast your American puritanical inhibitions aside and try this place out!

Great massage, staff are friendly. They have issues with pushing appointment times around, not sure if it s their system or if it s scheduling policies but twice I ve had my time slot changed. They made it work the second time though. The facilities are very clean as well.
