Why don t you have a customer service line like everybody else (Amazon, eBay etc.). It s really uncomfortable to keep on making business with you if there s nobody to reach out in case of a missing item or claim. You ll probably loose me as a customer AGAIN!

Horror story to follow. I originally was going to give one star, but there some some redemption by the end of my situation so they've earned another star. I bought an item from someone that was not custom made. It was listed as a size S/M, and I specifically told the seller that it was for an event I was attending on a Saturday (to verify whether I'd receive it before then). I was confused by the sizing, but the seller assured me that if I wear a size small or even an XS, this item would fit me. The seller had a shop policy of allowing returns on premade items (like mine) if they are contacted within three days of receiving the item, listed plain as day. When I received the item, beads immediately fell off of it upon opening, and when I tried it on, it was huge. The measurements were actually a bit odd, and it seemed like it was designed to fit a size large at the top. I contacted them immediately the day I received the item on a Thursday, asking for help. Rather than help me, the seller accused me of wearing the item to an event that day, and refused to refund me should I want a refund, telling me that they will fight any claim I make against them to keep my money. I was shocked and devastated. I worked up the courage to contact Etsy after that horrible encounter, and they told me to open a case. I did so, and Etsy did nothing. This seller faced no consequences for refusing to honor their shop policy and for treating me so horribly. They refused to review the case despite all the evidence and all the abuse I was subject to by the seller in the case log for simply providing proof of her prior abuse, the damage to the item upon arrival, her shop policies, the inaccurate sizing etc. This refusal was on the grounds that they "didn't have enough information" and therefore decided not to review my case at all and would not discuss the matter with me further. They showed no sympathy whatsoever for my situation, only apathy by shutting me down when I tried to communicate with them. I eventually got refunded outside of Etsy, but there was still the principle of shop policies being clearly violated, receiving a damaged and inaccurate item that I could not and did not wear to my event, a seller treating me horribly before I even had the chance to ask for a refund, and Etsy not showing the slightest sympathy. An Etsy representative later reached out, finally showing the sympathy my situation deserved, which made me feel better... but I believe this only happened because I filed a complaint with the BBB (in which Etsy continued to dismiss me and fail to properly read and address my complaint in the case log). They gave me a credit on my account, which I used to buy a cute item I had wanted from Etsy for a long time. Unfortunately, after this entire horrible experience, I believe that purchase was my last from Etsy. I remain shocked about what I had to go through to get human decency and a refund from this company and seller. I will never recommend Etsy to anyone ever again, despite having discovered and used Etsy years prior. I will only recommend small artists I've had good experiences with from now on, such as the person I got the cute item from, who hopefully sell outside the Etsy platform as well. I appreciated the gesture Etsy made after it was already too late, but it sadly wasn't enough to give me the confidence I need to shop there again. Beware of this site, and know that you as a buyer will NOT necessarily be protected by shop policies, Etsy will not care how a seller treats you, Etsy will not help you until they later realize they don't want more complaints or to lose your money forever, and you will have to fight elsewhere to get your own money back should you have an awful experience. Also be advised that they don't even have real customer service. None of their phone lines work-- you get disconnected or met with a brief robo-message if you even manage to find a phone number and try to call it. Their chat service takes dedication to unearth from their labyrinth of a help center. Emails or FAQs are the only help offered.

I have been trying to contact customer service for over a week now and not had a single response. I needed to order items for my wedding anniversary but was unable to do so and now I cannot get them in time. This has been a total nightmare when it was such an easy issue to resolve. I still haven't had a response. Watch and see if a robot posts to this review to contact their customer help desk, because I have already submitted multiple requests for help and NOT ONE has been responded to. I have already submitted a complaint to the BBB and then will see if they have the decency to respond to the letter from my lawyer. Totally ridiculous!

My package was never received. When tracking package, USPS showed in transit and it remained that way for 3 weeks. Had to call
customer service to get a refund processed. If, i had not called I would still be waiting for my item. Stay away from the site. Hope I get my refund or another review is on the way.

Fabulous place to spend a great afternoon or lovely evening. The beers are served nice and cold. You have The option of serving a beer yourself. But it is so much better when somebody else serves it for you. Specially when the service is good . There is loads of free games. And the ambience is pretty cool. You have to check out this place. O and the food is good too.

Horrible customer service. Do not purchase anything high priced because if there is a problem with the merchant, Etsy will not help and you will not recoup your payment. Long hold times on the phone with no intervention. Email replies just refer you to their help page. They say they will follow up and don't. They say all prices and interactions up to the merchant. Keep your purchases under $20 or whatever amount you can afford to lose.

I was Etsy seller and had thousands of sales but their employee Lohan began hating me after reading my post where I told my story about bad buyers who tried to steal items from my Etsy shop. Lohan closed discussion in very unfair way because wished that public never know about thieves on Etsy. Soon after that I got the disgusting buyer bliss51 (M. Willems) who purchased a fashion skirt from my shop to wear it for Halloween, then she decided to steal a skirt by opening fake dispute, she falsified info and used vulgar slang. Etsy employee Lohan helped a thief to steal skirt instead of banning her for harassment. And he closed my shop only because of his personal hate to me, I sure that it was only because of my nationality. I did nothing wrong. Lohan is full of envy one who hate honest sellers! Such have to be banned from work in customer support. I never waste my money on helpless promotions and he/she closed my shop because was unable to force me to waste my money on stupid promotions.

Also, I noticed s few times that Etsy hides items from public. A sellers can see what they listed but buyers don t. I have read in discussions that many sellers have same problem. Etsy hides items when sellers have reached a limit that Etsy never tell. Someone called this Etsy rotation .

In 2010 Etsy made a terribly unfair space craft competition. They promised money as grand prize and a trip to Texas as 2nd prize. As professional artist with experience of 120 art shows in USA & Europe, I submitted my museum quality painting and a few more items. In 2 days a lot of newly created accounts began listing of cheap items that had crazy prices. It was made by Etsy employees to flood the competition and hide my items to prevent me from winning, I sure in that. When I removed my items from competition because I understood that winners will be Etsy employees s friends or relatives, rules of competition and prizes were changed. And most of newly created accounts also removed their items from competition.

Etsy is the worst platform for sellers. Unfair rules, rude customer support, terrible employees who help bad buyers to steal items.

Etsy changed the ways to pay sellers. It is terrible to wait when their crazy, slow system transfers money from Etsy account to bank account. Once it took 8 days to receive my money!

Phone support is extremely slow and there no interpreters to translate to other languages. Only English and Spanish.

I ll never sell on Etsy anymore and recommend to avoid using this site. Because of Lohan and similar to that employee.

Invested in this company because I believe in people sharing their craft and selling it. I am a stockholder and I can't even get a phone call or a return phone call. Really disappointed as a stockholder at all the money I have lost. Really disappointed as a seller/buyer in the lack of customer service experience. If I could rate them with zero stars I would.

This company does not protect the buyer. They simply want to make money from sellers so allow them to label items how they see fit. If you want to sell home made soap but in reality send the buyer a piece of chalk shaped like a bar of soap...this is OK with Etsy as it is not significantly different than described. I have been a member since June 2010 and have had many nice transactions; however, recently Etsy has changed their mindset. They no longer care about making it a safe marketplace but just want to line their pockets and screw the buyer. So, BEWARE. I personally am done with Etsy and will no longer be making purchases there.

Was so happy to sell an item. Then came the outrageous cost of fees. Whoever designed this site should be able to make a fortune at designing directions on how to figure what costs will be, how to access your account, how to figure how THEY came up with the outrageous fees they charged, the list goes on and on so that the actual owner of that account cannot make heads or tails of it. A total SCAM! Awhile ago, I vowed never to use this site again, then relented and listed an item. BAD move. Figuring the fees is even more confusing than a couple years ago. I had no idea I was signing for some extra Advertising at a 15% rate, no less. Have done E-Bay for 10 years with good success. This site is an insane mess! Never again.

Do not insult people by making them jump through hoops by telling them to go to your help page the drop-down list never take one to a place to actually make contact. It is insulting. If only there was a star lower than one. I've heard about etsy for a long time, and as a designer and illustrator I finally decided to make tshirt designs and sell them on etsy. Within minutes of opening my shop I receiced a notification that it has been suspended. Apparently the design I uploaded violated their intellectual property policy, basically accusing me of copyright infringement, of my own design that I created myself. Not only insulting me as a creative professional, but not even giving me the opportunity to explain myself and send them original copies of my artwork. As a first time seller, this has been an awful first impression from a company that I thought was reputable. If they continue this behavior, etsy's time as a popular marketplace for sellers is very limited.

I have an account that was hacked. Someone opened a store under it, trying to sell some Kobe Bryant (?) basketball jerseys. I took the listing down & went to close my account. I find out that they charge a 20 cent (something close to this amount) for every item that store owners take down. Then, they would not let me close my account, stating an open balance. Seriously? I had actually gotten through to someone about all this via a chat option they had then (about 2 months ago). He was supposed to have someone get in touch with me, because he was unable to fix the balance, so I could close the account. I never heard back. Since then I have discovered someone else's PayPal account on it, that I could not delete & a completely different name on a credit card that was there that I could delete. Now I can't even sign in to the account! I need to talk to someone NOW, to verify this has been settled. If you are going to respond to this review, don't do the same Copy/Paste job you did on the others talking about " thanks for sharing your experience, Go here for help or go somewhere else for other things" I already tried that. NOTHING pertains to my situation.

Customer service, resolution team and seller are the worst. Be-careful, Esty will not protect you when you purchase something from a deceptive seller. Not only will you lose your money, but Esty will not honor or protect your purchase. This seller was well aware of this and she sold me merchandise that are broken. The seller went as far as telling me she is protected by the EU and that I would get help from Esty .VERY NICE.

Terrible customer service. My family shop was suspended. They decided that we doesn't make our handbags and ask us provide them with information about working process. We provide them with this information the same day, I sent more than 30 photos, I made detailed description about working process. But girl Louren who sent me notification didn't answer anything. I wait 3 days, and still here nothing from them. I made request on etsy website, and still nothing. After that I made phone request, they phone me in a 15 minutes and told me that they respond me in email within 24-48 hours. And you know what!? They didn't respond me!!! I have 44 open orders and I can't ship them because all my account is suspended. I can't belive that public company can be so irresponsible to their clients and hence to their business.

It is a fair game for real business people.
If you have what it takes ie. legal rights, products rights, no fraud and hard works. I have known few people who are really success with Etsy and I also buy myself unique products and they are awesome made! By saying hard-work - all components of business form; accounting, tax, market thing, technology utilizing skill, procurement skill, problem solving, customer service and laws. Be honest, if you think you have done everything right and don't put a high hope on profit. You hope will be enough profit in fair amount in your time input.

No one seems to be able to help me but they promise to make me a priority and email more articles to read. No one does business like this.

So here is my story with etsy, 4 days ago i starte...

So here is my story with etsy, 4 days ago i started my page on etsy to start selling custom made Tshirts and Hoodies. After checking on etsy for all the regulations and other people selling the same thing who have been open for over 3 years and making sure i am following all regulations. 2 hours after i started and while i am still uploading some items i found myself deactivated , NO EMAILS, NO NOTICES AND NO COMMUNICATION FROM ETSY AT ALL, just out of the blues i am deactivated. It was not a problem i figured there must be a way to get to etsy and try to figure out what went wrong, took me almost 2 hours to find someplace i can talk to someone from etsy, finaly reached etsy support of twitter and sent them and got told someone will follow up with me of course after sending again i finally got an email from A TEAM that is supposed to work with me that had 5 random questions in it and from the look of it sounded like just a way to get RID of me wondering what went wrong but i figured why not answer and i did and I GUESS I WAS RIGHT WITH MY ORIGINAL ASSUMPTION , i am THE company owner, i am doing all the process of printing the shirts and hoodies myself with other workers at my locations , i have all the equipments needed for that process and still ACCORDING TO THE TEAM MEMBER I WAS NOT INVOLVED ENOUGH in my production process and my shop was PERMENANTELY SUSPENDED. I totally understand if after that email all other shops that are doing the same exact thing have been shutdown or closed but no , from the looks of it it sound like one store got chosen to be permenantely suspended while all other shops with the same activity are up and running. OF COURSE IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO REQUEST A CALL FROM ETSY WITH MY ACCOUNT BEING DEACTIVATED SO I AM HOPING I DO NOT JUST GET A LINK SENT TO ME WITH A REQUEST A PHONE CALL, I SENT NUMEROUS EMAILS AND MESSAGES ON TWITTER WITH THE SAME ANSWER THAT MY EMAILS HAVE BEEN ESCALATED TO A HIGHER TEAM AND SOMEONE WILL BE CONTACTING ME BUT OF COURSE EVERTYTHING IS TAKING FOREVER AND I HAVE TO KEEP SENDING EMAILS AND MESSAGES. I PERSONALLY ADVISE ANYONE WITH THE INTENTIONS OF SELLING ONLINE TO USE A DIFFERENT SITE OR VENUE WHO OFFERS MORE HELP AND SUPPORT TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Etsy SUCKS SO BAD. I had just opened a shop that had received two orders within 12 hours. I contacted etsy as the orders were taking quite some time to process. I was worried because one of the orders was fairly urgent. After hours and not receiving a response, I went on twitter to contact the EtsyHelp team. They literally told me to email Etsy. So I sent another email, marked it as urgent, and received no reply. I woke up the next morning (24 hrs after sent email) and received an email saying that both orders could not be authorized and that my shop was frozen. feeling desperate I opened a shop in a similar name with a relative's info with just several listings to get the orders out. i successfully did so, and THEN received an email from etsy only after I let them know that I was upset. They then told me that my orders were canceled because I am not 18. yet, they let me open a sellers account, and give them money for listings. I asked them how I could get a parent instated on the account to have it active again. They mentioned the steps and said "you may list yourself as the shop owner, but need to say something like "Emma makes the items for this shop, but her parents manage the account."" That is not even true, though. I am 17, I make my supplies and I make them well, as well as use my own bank account info, and manage my own god damned shop. I could understand some legal aspects of having to be 18 to have a shop with them. But to request that I put such an arbitrary phrase in my shop's info section is just ridiculous. I was already upset enough. today I found out that my second shop is currently frozen. This is the one I used to get the orders out to my customers. it is not under my name, and they froze an account on a whim because it has a similar title with the same customers. This could have actually been someone else's shop. they do not bother to inform you of anything, by the way. I received no emails stating why my orders were canceled before I reached out to them, to which they only responded AFTER I was clearly upset. They also did not tell the owner of the second shop why it is frozen either. Etsy is a company marked by carelessness, and I want nothing to do with it after just FOUR days. I'm a pretty docile person, but right at this moment, if Etsy was the embodiment of a person, I would honestly rip Etsy's intestines out and strangle Etsy with them. (obviously that is not a serious threat, as I am not referring to a living being, just the theoratic embodiment of the collective online marketplace that has really shitty customer service).

Most disappointed in this company. I ordered a stamped key chain on December 7th and was promised delivery between Dec 20-28.
The owner notified USPS on Dec 21 that he would be delivering the package to the Post Office. NEVER happened. I contacted him on the 31st (10 days later) and he STILL had not sent the package. I cancelled.
Check other reviews. Almost 1/3 of the reviews mentioned late or no delivery.
Look at other Etsy vendors. MUCH better results.
So sorry I even ordered!
