This International airport in Kolkata provides all the required facilities and comforts as per International standard. The airport staff are very helpful. There are different options on shopping, eateries and takeaway. In this pandemic situation precautions taken care very efficiently.
New terminal is quite good. The terminal structure allows a lot of natural light to enter. Also there is free WiFi. New good aerobridges. Also the terminal is quite spacious but it may get crowded during peak hours. Overall a good airport.
Well planned. All vehicles are readily available. If one have to wait here to see off or to receive someone, good arrangement of waiting. Just few affordable food stall will help people waiting outside to enjoy their time. It is really a example of Good engineering. U will get AC bus to go to all prominent places of the city. OLA UBER along with prepaid taxi stands are their for you.
Long ago journey to this places via andamans.
Been around with a rikshaw.
Airport s great.
The airport is very beautiful.i am love with airport
One of the biggest airports in India... Huge space is in the rest room... You can enjoy TV here...
Staffs are also very energetic and helpful... They are always ready to serve you with their best!! Tight security guards are always ready for any bad situations...
Thank you
Place is just awesome great service and they give very much consideration to there passenger and also priorities
Entry at Kolkata airport was ridiculas, They didnt bother about social distance or anything, Just like a local Bus stand.
One of the fastest developing international airports in India.
Airport is big, but what is the point of big infrastructure, if security scanners are just 2, which increases the checkin time and lenghty ques follows up.
Baggage Tray was wet at security check-in in the name of sanitization. Very bad service by the staffs.
Come here to see the interior design of itself. And also come to attend your flight.
The airport is very nice , clean and spacious. They have a small food court and multiple lounges where you can get food. Plenty of seating available.
Easygoing airport, staffs were co-operative, security check was little lengthy for boarding.
Didn't even feel that this is my first flight. My cab dropped me at the right entrance for Air India Flights. Boarding started at the counter timely. Reporting time and gate number were given. Gate was opened little late and flight took off late by 15 minutes but landed Chennai on time.
Cleanliness, maintenance, customer service and support was good.
Very ill-planned airport. No forecast of passenger traffic to be handled in planning it. Domestic is worse. Water pools inside arrival hall?????? & goto washrooms small for traffic handled and just like Sulabh complexes ...ques extending out of washrooms...just two pots in each washroom....not all washrooms in operation at a time...
Airside, taxi-ing is bumpy literally can see aircraft bumping when looking from terminal.poor maintenance.
Diparture halls are disproportionately crouded.Few gates are absolutely empty...few gates crowded with flights back to back....23Gates handling A320 and no sufficient seats or area to handle the crowd....
Nice airport..Similar to the airports of other Indian metro cities..But the fact that, unlike other privately managed airports, this one is still managed by AAI makes it pretty cool. There are nice restaurants and bars; lovely lush green surroundings. Ola, Uber as well as traditional yellow cabs are easily available.
Ok..Airport got more rewards.but not arrangement 4 handicapped passengers.iam the victim of this matter.my very old partents not walk airport glass floor. I asked free transport electrical cab.this r running inside of counters..but sadly told me as per the protocol. High court judge r booked.not 4u like citizens..this insident happened in Saturday morning 5.am near E.counter..what hell.r doing here.not value of Sr.citizens
beautiful and well maintained airport with all the facilities.
Visited yesterday. Like every other airport.

It can be better considering the historic greatness of Calcutta city
Cleaning to be improved, social distancing is not followed strictly
One of the oldest , busiest and well connected Airport in India, which connects India with East Asian countries.
This airport is operational since 1924.
The busiest airport in eastern part of India. As they have departure and arrival in # different floors so it has become less crowded than before. The security is tight as well. It is well maintained.
Neat & clean airport .Well designed & great facade. It has all basic plus advance level features.Retiring rooms are also available.Only problem you may face during connecting flights is completing formalities which is not allowed as like in New Delhi. Also have some good selfie point
Overall a good experince.
A well managed airport with moderate beautification. While other major airports are getting revamped, I think it is high time that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport also get a touch of modernization and beautification. As it is not so busy an airport like the Indira Gandhi International Airport, you will find the inside to be specious. It is also a very compact airport and, as a result, travellers don't get confused.
Poor airline staff behaviour not at all friendly. Very slow in their work and loud. Though morning footfall is not so much as compared to other metro airports but staffs appears to hasseled in the morning. Security staff not at all rational. Even sweet shop at Bishwa Bandhu does not start before 0830. Positive thing was that toilets and airport were quite clean but aircraft entry bay was smelling.
One of best airport of India
Very attractive awesome infrastructure
Very neat and clean
Lots of g
Flights daily
Good location
Nice coordination good worker and co workers a good parking space
All transport available AC buses are also available and best part
Chip transport taxi also available in well deciplined manner good traffic management on time flights
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport is only public airport of kolkata and biggest in eastern india. Located at dumdum, slightly out of the city. Now a days this area also has become well populated. However 2 and 3 wheelers are not allowed at airport area. It takes 15min max to walk to airport from outside gate. Alternatively ola, uber and taxies are available outside. This is one of the best airport designed and maintained by AAI. Earlier it was very boring. Howevernow a days many shops are available inside. The food court located at right hand side after security checkin is a must try. Lounge facility is available upstairs. The checkin counters are commonly accessible for domestic and international travellers. However after security checkin, the area for domestic and international travell are segregated.
Excellent Airport, a sea change from its predecessor. The Airport is well managed and easily accessible and provides a pleasant and comfortable experience for passengers.. What it lacks in shopping it more than makes up for in the top end eateries
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is one of the best airports in India. Neat and clean environment. Many branded shopping zone and decent food shops are there. Everything is very well arranged. Service quality (boarding, immigration, baggage delivery) is very good. All kind of facilities like wheel chair accessibility, changing currency, taxi service is available. The greenery in front of the airport has further enhanced its beauty. Since I have lots of international experience, I think it is an international standard airport.
Overall, the airport is quite big and clean but the toilets are horrendous. They're never clean.
It's fantastic best airport will maintain clean and clear
The airport looks nice and there is adequate seating arrangements inside. It has also got nice restaurants and eating places. Also there is a pre-paid taxi center inside which has the lowest cab rates in the world. Also a Bus stop is present inside along with a train station. The main problems are the mainteinence of its facilities: for example most of the trolleys are in bad condition and most charging points are non functional.
With out mosqito coil can not stay in netaji subhash chandra boss airport
Needs an upgrade interms of infrastructure. Toilets need more frequent cleaning and staff to be regularly cleaning. General staff is good.
Well everything is good except for the number of gates available
This airport after renovating become nicer than before. It's a medium size international Airport. In this airport you can see many cultural things related to West Bengal. Airport is well maintained. It is India's 4 th largest airport. This Airport has almost connectivity to all India's major Airports.
I didnt like the airport though it is kind of new airport. The lounge is not maintain well as we have seen in Delhi or Mumbai airport. I think planning was done correctly as food court is very lowest to its quality. The airport is a major transit point for both domestic and international passengers. The airport looks like very old and amenities are poorly managed.
One of the most busy airports in India. This operates a lot of international and domestic flights daily. This airport serves millions of people of this area. The airport staff is really very good and there are plenty of eateries and shops inside it.
Infrastructure is older when compared to other major airports like of Delhi and Mumbai, the maintenance is also not at par with other airports.
Connectivity is a issue because it is not well connected with bus or metro public transport network.
However bus services are there for a few destinations like Howrah station and salt lake.
Airport is good but the following areas needs to be addressed:
1. Baggage collection on arrival is always a pain in this airport. It takes around 30-45 mins. I do not think any other prime airport in India has this issue. The administration needs to look in to their process.
2. Baggage scanning needs to be done separately which takes up additional time.
3. Cleanliness, but passengers are too responsible for this and not only the airport authorities. The waiting area seats are mostly littered with food items.
A well designed International Airport in the eastern region of India, with modern infrastructure and facilities. Also one of the busiest airports in India, connecting to many cities within India and internationally as well. The management of airport is also improved a lot, and fantastic customer satisfaction.
One of the finest airports in India. Well maintained property of the country
A few years back we had a proud for Kolkata International Airport. The way they used to maintain it and keep it nice and clean. But now it's not like the old one, people are throwing papers, tissues, water bottles.... etc. Toilets are smelling badly, floor is wet, no tissues, no hand wash, nothing. And if you see the chairs, old, faded, dirty.
Being an Indian it's really shameful when people from outside country pin point this and laugh. After paying all the airport maintenance fees isn't maintained.........
NSCB International Airport
Dumdum, Kolkata
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (IATA: CCU, ICAO: VECC) is an international airport located in Dum Dum, West Bengal, India, serving the Kolkata metropolitan area. It is located approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the city centre. The airport is locally known as Kolkata Airport and also was earlier known as Dum Dum Airport before being renamed in 1995 after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a prominent leader of the Indian independence movement. Kolkata Airport is one of the oldest airports in India; it was opened in 1924.
Spread over an area of 1,641 acres (664 ha), Kolkata Airport is the largest hub for air traffic in the eastern part of the country and one of two international airports operating in West Bengal, the other being Bagdogra. The airport handled almost 20 million passengers in the financial year 2017 18, making it the fifth-busiest airport in India in terms of passenger traffic after airports at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai. The airport is a major centre for flights to Northeast India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Southeast Asia and the Middle Eastern cities of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha. In 2014 and 2015, Kolkata Airport won the title of Best Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacific region awarded by the Airport Council International.
The airport's new integrated terminal T2 is spread over 233,000 m2 (2,510,000 sq ft) and can handle 25 million passengers annually, compared to the previous terminals' capacity of five million. The terminal is an L-shaped structure, containing six levels. It contains 128 check-in counters that utilise CUTE (Common User Terminal Equipment) technology and has 78 immigration counters and twelve customs counters.[60] Passenger lounges are provided by Air India. The terminal is equipped with 18 aerobridges and a further 57 remote parking bays. There are plans to construct an 18-foot bronze statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the integrated terminal complex.
One of the best, well maintained airports in India.
the arrival area for international flights is low maintained and depressing.
This version is better than the last one. With passing days it's getting better. There is a scope of improvement in terms of customization of service, lounge service needs a better look. Am sure with time encouraging changes will become a feast and fantasy for both domestic and international travellers.
Nice place, neat and clean and above all the ground staff are very co-operative.
Airport is very big ..its one of the important airport which inter connecting to North-East India ...Two terminals are there..usually crowded...maintained good ...Airport Named Netaji subhash chandra bose Great leader of india and forever in indian history ..cleanliness is must concentrate more...prepaid taxi available , Food courts ,wifi free zone,With international standard ...
It's always a great experience to travel through Kolkata airport.. today it felt none less than a super sized mall.. maintaining all safety precautions related to COVID.. everything including check in and security check and boarding was really smooth..can't wait for arriving back.
