The airport seems to be lately renovated. It is quite well maintained and clean. After the security there are not many duty free shops or restaurants around the Internationals Departure Gates.

Wonderful look and architecture among all this airport is unique and busiest as Kolkata connects to all major airports and international flights too board from here

I have never ever seen such a beautiful terminal in around india till date...what a friendly staff....perfect security system maintenance by kolkata Police...specifically food courts are good n hygiene...lot more to say....heaven

helping and friendly. Just interior of
this airport is not so impressive in
comparision to Mumbai and Delhi.

You can book a rest room (at first floor, near exit gate number 3) from assistant to airport manager's office ( arrivals area at ground floor) at the airport, in case u need to wait for change over of flight. Its for Rs.1120/- per night. Standard of rooms is very good. But one has to share the room as each room has two separate beds.

Kolkata airport is a very beautiful airpot.But Securities stuffs are very rude.They even know how to behave with public. They behave like we are dogs.

This terminal is very big in size with all the amenities of an international airport. It is in the city unlike many other new airports in the country which are quite far from the city. The design on the ceiling is the handwriting of Rabindranath Tagore which is unique. The approach road is not planned very well and hence there is traffic jams while coming into the airport. The maintenance is not very good compared to other big airports. Also there is delay many times at the LAGGaGE belts. The pick up area for uber and ola is also not thought out due to lack space and roads and leads to congestion.

Beautiful airport at the heart of the city. Transport facility to and from the the airport is very good. The railway station and metro station are at a distance of around15-20 mins .

One of the best airport I visited in recent times, sanitized, clean and very people friendly. The recliners were there for people to relax without any charges and food court offers so much hygiene food

The airport has facilities for overnight stays. These can be arranged by visiting the office of the airport manager. However, the process of getting there from the departure zone or back is in my opinion too cumbersome, too bureaucratic and More

The buses which go to airport are 93 and 79b from Raj Ballav para. But the locals have don't idea of how to reach gate no. 1 or 2 ... So plz don't be oversmart to blindly search on Google... Just kindly ask the traffic police to help you out after the bus drops you.

One of the underrated international airport in the world. This airport is situated in the middle of the city which is very convenient for common people. However, be aware of fraud taxi drivers, Ola drivers. You need to be very careful about your belongings when you are just outside of the departure gate. you won't find too many stores for your window shopping. Overall, it is a nice airport, but could have been a lot better.

Now it's the time of pandemic situation! In this time the authority of Airport taken some major steps of sanitisation and cleanliness. Just like, during entrance of the airport at first the luggage bags are sanitised and then thermal screening is done and wear mask is mandatory for the journey. And another mandatory thing's "Arogya setu app" which should be installed in phone. Authority set up some hand sanitizer machine, anyone can sanitise their hands; if wants. Outside (means arrival and departure area's food courts) food courts (for example:- Wow Momo, Flury's , Cafe Coffee Day etc.) are all closed now. Luggage trolley should be avoided in this pandemic situation which is also instructed by the airport authority. The environment of the airport is now quite silent, which is quite unusual to see most crowded place like this.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is really beautiful. It's quite big and looks really nice. There are quite a lot of good and inexpensive food shops inside. One thing though, the display boards could have been bigger and placed higher than they actually are.

Airport was good but staff members who work in toilet and cleaning process are very rude ..they behave rudely with the passenger who came there to use that washroom.. The washroom which come inside gate no.20 and gate no.21 aunty work there she is so rude .. Pls airport authority give some training to your employees that they know how to talk with your passenger.... I genuinely feel its not the way to behave with passenger...

The NSCBI airport is one of the best airport in eastern region. The airport is embellished with superior architectural designs. Bus drop service is available for the arrivals. It's a five star category airport.

Wow One of the largest airports in India. Both domestic and international terminals under one roof. Very well planned structure. A bit far away from city. Very neatly maintained. Clean & well-planned airport. Departure waiting area has so many shops and food outlets so passengers won't get bored. Security staff is very helpful. Moreover, it is a ver.

Nice and clean airport. Security system is good and helpful too. Many food outlet is there in airport.Many green tub is there. Free WIFI acessing available. Local radio is also available. I have Very pleasant experience there. Staffs is behavior decent not too good or bad.Need more stall like food plaza, Book stall or facilities like Mobile, Laptop Charging,daily news paper etc.

Beautiful airport. Owned by AAI. It has a number of transit/retiring rooms available just inside the arrival lounge. Transit passengers who want to stay overnight to catch another flight next day can easily book room from the AAI office situated in the arrival lounge. Rooms are good having double bed and one need not go outside to look for hotel.

It's basically a good airport but multiple facilities provided are sub standard. But still mostly the staffers and airline crews are well mannered and efficient.

One good thing about it is it has maintain its heritage. Very comfortable lounge & helpful support staff. Rightly said as entrance to city of joy.

People typically spend 2-3 hours during waiting, so there must be good facilities for food and snacks. Everything available here is at abnormally hefty prices.

The new airport terminal is a breath of fresh air for the city dwellers. Kolkata was lacking an airport with international feel and this new terminal just chipped in. Spacious, good infrastructure and presence of few elegant stores puts the port on the same page as Delhi and Mumbai...

This is the cleanest airport in India. I love Kolkata my city..Awsome experience..

(This is during the pandemic) As I have come from BLR to CCU, my experience at BLR Airport was great consedering the overall experience and strictly followed the safety measures. But at CCU Airport the safety measures was taken lightly and no importance was given. The staff there was kinda Lazy to follow the safety guidelines from my point of view.

Neat and clean environment especially during covid situation

This is main Airport in the city of Kolkata as well as West Bengal. It is one of the best airport in the country. It was called Dum Dum airport sarker, laterIt re-named in the name of great patriot Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. It is at a distance about 15 km from Eplanade- heart of the Kolkata city. Amenities are good and world class here.

There is same terminal for domestic and international departure.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is an international airport situated at Dumdum. It is so nice place. So many international flights anyone can get from here. The transportation system is very nice. Buses, taxis and cab are available at every moment. All the people here are so helpful. They are ready to help you for any reasons. Inside the airport there are so many shops. Almost all the necessary things are available. There are so many restaurants also where the foods are so nice. Even they maintain the top quality for each and everything all the time. You can come with your family and spend time while enjoying all these things . Coming out from the airport the outer view of the airport is also so nice. The statue, sitting area everything is nicely planned. It is so neat and clean everywhere. The grassy area is so beautiful. Kids can play and enjoy these.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata is an international airport that serves around 85 percent domestic travelers. As India's fifth busiest airport, it handled 19 million passengers in 2017. According to information released by the Airports Council International (ACI) in April 2018, Kolkata is now India's fastest growing airport, with passenger traffic increasing by 27 percent over the previous. Traffic has increased due to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) regional connectivity scheme, which connect 22 underserved airports to major hubs.



While Kolkata airport is presently a major center for flights to Northeast India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China and Southeast Asia, it's hoped that the new terminal will attract more international airlines to service the city. However, the airport is already about to reach its existing capacity of 20 million passengers, necessitating further expansion. This is planned to be undertaken in two parts, involving linking the old airport terminal with the new one and then building a third terminal. This will double the airport's capacity to 40 million passengers by 2021.

The airport has started using solar power, from solar panels installed on the premises, for its day-to-day operations.



Public Transportation and Taxis

The cheapest and most convenient way to get to the city center is to take a government prepaid taxi. These taxi operate 24 hours. There are booking counters inside the terminal is near Gate 3C, and outside the terminal opposite gates 4A and 4B of the arrival level. Further counters are planned to open near near gates 1A and 2. A fare to Sudder Street is about 350 rupees (about $5). Be careful of touts outside the terminal who will direct you to other "luxury" taxi counters, where the fare will be much higher.

There's also a kiosk run by a private operator Mega Cabs, which has cleaner but slightly more costly taxis. They are metered taxis. The driver will give you a receipt at the end of the journey and you'll pay him cash.

Very bad, bycycle and bike parked cab pickup point, anywhere you can see someone is smoking openly and cigarettes buds are througing.....

Excellent airport in kolkata. All facilities available. Can enjoy the leasure time in many ways good restaurants and many shops.very big in size and have all infrastructure facilities. Car parking is down to the basement and very big. Normal condition it is a friendly aircraft and useful to all national and international passengers.

Why does the airport hide drinking water facilities to Sell their own packaged bottles . I roam around full airport and found the one available on ground floor towards gate 23F .

custom officers are so cruel that they harssed me alot during the checkout. They dnt hve any manners like how to treat a person on their way back. Really disappointed frm the service which they provide I dnt even feel like to give a one star to the service..they put false allegations on innocent people and force them to accept it...

Everything is good except the Toilets. I think keeping the Covid situation in mind they should maintain more cleanliness. The area around the commode is so dirty that it will for sure contribute to the spread of germs and viruses.
