Great food, awesome service. prices are 35$-55$ per person.
Great food, awesome service. prices are 35$-55$ per person.
Great salads! I'm not a fan of the spaghetti pasta they use but the flavors are balanced. A bit pricy as well but overall a good bang for your buck.
The quality of food is not worth the prices, but it's got a nice atmosphere.
Always a good choice. The meal, wine and dessert was delicious, as always!
Definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in austin. The calamari is the best. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant.
I've been to both Enoteca and Vespaio several times for lunch or dinner and it never disappoints. A couple of months ago, I went with my family for Sunday brunch and it blew us all away--so delicious! They do eggs Benedict a few different ways and they're all the best you've ever had. We also shared the basket of assorted breads filled with flakey croissants and scones that were completely satisfying. All of their coffee/espresso drinks are great. I can't wait to go back!

The food was good, even very good, but I can't say it was quite worth what I paid for it.
Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Pricey. Make a reservation. This is my special occasion Austin place.
A nice restaurant with intimate atmosphere. Food is not the best. Salad was average. The risotto was over cooked and the vitello saltimboca was good but the spinach side was bitter. Dessert is the only thing that deserves 5 stars. The service was very, very slow, but the waitress was nice and very professional.
Quite possibly the best bang for your buck when it comes to Italian food in Austin! I personally recommend the veal meatballs--the guilt is thick, but the taste is overwhelming. In this world, taste > guilt.
Good Italian food. They have authentic Italian dishes on the menu and make fire wood pizza
This is hands down the best italian restaurant in Austin. Tonight i had the melanzana and zuchini
with veal meatballs and speghetti with oil and garlic, the fried eggplant eggplant was breaded and so tender .the breading was light and the eggplant was stacked high with zucini and mozarella in layers with an aribiatta red sauce omg its so so good
dont miss this place if you come to Austin.
Im from Brooklyn , this is the real deal..great!!!
Awesome place! Originally tried going to Vespaio right next door and the wait was 40 mins to an hour. We walked outside and saw Enoteca (appears to be a sister restaurant to Vespaio) walked in and we were immediately seated! Beautiful and closeknit atmosphere - absolutely wonderful food! Very rich cheesecake. Would definitely recommend it.
The food was great, but it didn't really match the price. Still a wonderful experience.
Excellent service. Enticing menu. Very cozy and quiet enough for an enjoyable evening.
Excellent cappuccino. The pecan tart was tart. Didn't really care for it. Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient.
Absolutely amazing. From the starter of fresh mozzarella to the incredible lasagna to to the tiramisu, wow. Bravo!
I've been here for dinner and also just for an afternoon tea/coffee. Both times I enjoyed myself and the had a good experience. The food menu is Italian but a little more creative than just the classics and everything we had was delicious. The coffee and desserts are great too, they know how to make the classic drinks very well. If you like pate, the duck liver is one of the best I've ever had
This place is cute and very home like. Amazing food, great service and coffees. They cut meat in front of you in front. Egg Benedict's
Great little spot for handmade pastas and excellent deserts.
A completely perfect dining experience. Food, drinks, atmosphere, and service was impeccable.
Best Italian in Austin! Family oriented and everyone is on their P's&Q's. You really feel special here!
The lobster ravioli and fried risotto are TO DIE FOR
Awesome flavors. Little pricey at lunch. But I enjoyed my meal. Service was great.
Have eaten here twice now on an annual cycling trip with a large group of friends. Staff is professional, courteous and accommodating. Food is excellent and wine/cocktail selection is outstanding.
My wife and I had a superb experience here. Delicious Italian food in a relaxed but elegant surrounding. The wood fired oven adds both to the taste of the dishes and the ambiance of the restaurant. The menu is vast and includes a page of specials that change daily. I had an excellently prepared wagyu beef steak as my main, which came with a beautiful lasagna packed with flavor. My wife enjoyed the pappardelle al ragu di agnello - the pasta were hand made, the lamb was good and the sauce excellent and plentiful. Service was very attentive. A great option for a date or if your fancy special Italian food.
Favorite place to eat especially on special occasions
Every time I eat here its great. Only one miss on the menu was a pizza that was a prosciutto pizza that was far too salty. Otherwise great!
Easily some of the best authentic Italian food I ve ever had. Super nice ambience, friendly staff and beyond excellent food. That meal literally made my day
Neopolitan style thin crust pizza excellent. Good wine selection.
Can't believe we took so long to find this amazing place! Dinner was absolutely awesome! Not to mention our funny and wonderful server.
Lived in Italy fur 6 years. This is THE BEST, most authentic Italian food we've had since leaving Italy. If you like authentic Italian, this is the place to go. We drove over 2 hours to go back! We'll be back every time we're near Austin.
We went there the evening before an Iron Man triathlon event for carb loading. Amazing food and ambiance. Good service. The pizza was the highlight but the donut puffs were delicious too. We sat right next to the pizza dude, who artfully throws the dough and puts it into this awesome brick oven. Cooked to perfection. We had pasta dishes as well and they were tasty. There was a wait but it went by pretty quick and was a little shorter than what they d estimated.
Service was impeccable and the food was fantastic, but I am doing keto and I changed the mashed potatoes to spinach and the serving was really small. Very good Italian food though.
I had the pasta special. Crabmeat stuffed with butternut squash and arugula. Lemon butter sauce. It was fabulous!
This place is AMAZING. I come here every time I take a trip to Austin. The restaurant ambiance is so relaxing, it makes you feel like you're in a fancy cafe. Nothing on the menu will disappoint you as everything is delicious; my favorite items to order are the mixed olives antipasti, proscuitto charcutrie board, and the arrabiata pizza.
The vibe is kind of interesting but the food is so so.
Hmmm, I liked the atmosphere, but the food to me wasn't as good as some other Italian places in town.
I've had better microwave pasta. Really mediocre for the price.
Swordfish was ok as was the waiter. The appetizers and vegetables were the strong point. Beautiful interior atmosphere.
Absolutely Fabulous Place! One of the best in town! Service is 2nd to none and the food is fantastic. Try some of the anchovies with a side of crackers. Best Anchovies Ever!
Great service, and quite possibly the best brunch I've ever had. The taleggio scramble's fresh mushrooms give an earthy flair to perfectly creamy scrambled eggs and spinach. The polenta and sausage made for perfect sides. Will definitely be coming here regularly for Sunday brunch.
Long wait no real sitting area but over all great experience. Our waitress was great spunk and made good recommendations.
Will return with friends
This makes my top 3 Italian restaurants in Austin. Nice interior vibe and great food. Fantastic olive selection as well!
Absolutely wonderful experience. Definitely a place to go for good Italian food
The food was so perfect and the atmosphere was unmatched for a lunch date! They even have free valet parking in the back, which is invaluable for a restaurant on South Congress! I had the cheese stuffed veal meatballs and spaghetti and it was amazing!
We've been here twice now and concluded its not worth coming back. They skimp on the protein and vegetables. The kids sauce was spicy, and they even charged for refills on the kids drinks. Marginal experience at a premium price.
Authentic absolutely delicious everything was a great experience, drinks were a little slow to be refilled but other than that absolutely amazing food, speed, friendliness!
Great food! Tons of options. Authentic Italian food
Every time I visit Vespiao the food and service are outstanding. Elizabeth, our waitress, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive but not intrusive. She paced out service perfectly. The food is so damn good. Retarded good. Reasonable wine pricing as well. Can't go wrong.
One of my favorite types of foods is Italian and this place doesn't disappoint. Staff was extremely courteous and table service excellent. This is also probably one of the only Italian places where you can order a Mezcal cocktail was a welcome and refreshing surprise. Our party started off with marinated mushrooms and stuffed bell peppers which blew me away. They are definitely a must try and the spice is spot on and not a smidge too spicy. They bread came with a nice hummus sauce and was very fresh along with butter of course. Then we enjoyed fresh mozzarella with a smokey tomato puree with an arugula lemon aioli salad that was simply bliss. Also served was a personal favorite of mine which is smoked garlic bread that is very hard to find; the mesquite wood was quite palpable. The star of the meal was of course the lasagna that was made with green, yes green, noodles and unlike any I've tried before. It came with sausage that was just cooked perfectly and honestly, I couldn't put the pasta down. It came recommended as award winning and I can see that this was no exaggeration. I accompanied the meal with Moscato which was quite sweet, flagrant and equisite tasting of grape flavor often lacking in other varieties.
In short, it is one of the best Italian restaurants in town and I definitely recommend it. The price is on the high side but must worth it. Perfect place to go on a date.
The rude hostess seated a friend of the owner before us even though we were ahead of them. Walked out. Poor service eats good food for dinner.
The flavors are great. The calamari appetizer was over salted and the breading was soggy. Great wine selection. The spaghetti olio was a very small portion size, my friends had way more of an entree size portion of their dishes. The Tiramisu was the best I've had in Austin, and definitely the star of the show. Be prepared for higher prices. All in all 4 stars.
100% perfecto. Only thing better is Vespio proper which is less than a block south of this location
It is super yummy and I love sitting outside and watching the people while enjoy great food and great wine
Great music. Great service. Swanky ambiance. Great food. The best spaghetti and meatballs.
one of my absolute favorite places in Austin. They do get busy on the weekends so make sure to come earlier to get on the waiting list. They will call when the table is ready! Amazing italien food - LOVE everything on the menu and the prices and portions are fair!
Vespaio is a great restaurant not just because the food and cocktails ( Tommy is arguably the best bartender in Austin), but the service is fantastic. It's not rare to see the owner out interacting with guests and even bringing out a course or two! If I'm on South Congress, I will eat as Vespaio every time, it's just that good!
Each visit lifts our expectations on service & food
Enjoyed a quiet lunch with my daughter. Great food, service and atmosphere. So much appreciated the gluten free options including desserts.
Good:
A great deli (cheeses, hams) and pastry place. Nice cozy cafe. GREAT BRUNCH PATIO. An very good breakfast and lunch menu.
Bad:
Can be overcrowded at times. TEA/COFFEE MUGS ARE CONSTANTLY DIRTY, IN TEA STAINS. And personnel don't even seem to bother wash them to keep white. C'mon people, would you drink out of tea-stained cups in your house???
One of the top restaurant in Austin. Busy. I like to sit at the bar. Pork scaloppinie and bolognese are my two favorites
small portions vs price. good service. need to add more taste or more love on every plate.
My only disappoint was that I could not eat it all,,,,but we made room 2 desserts! AWESOME!
Was sat outside and I guess servers did not want to serve us. Disappointing!
Great options for all kinds of food preferences My friend was on keto And got what they wanted Panini s were fulfilling
Specially if your diet preferences desert..... it s the place to go
The only hassle was finding a cool spot where the AC could blow off the heat from a hot day. But they did their best to seat us near their wine cooler
Absolutely scrumptious - the food, the wine, the service, and the ambiance. We will be back.
The wait staff was very knowledgable and attentive. Our food was great! Had the lasagna and Bolognese. The Vespa cocktail is now something I make at home.
One of the best Italian spots in all of Austin. It's the little sister to Vespaio next door so you should expect the same level of high quality service and food. Your wallet will suffer slightly less at Enoteca than at Vespaio, but your taste buds won't know the difference and your wait time will be significantly shorter.
Recently I went and got their Porchetta sandwich for lunch and was fully satisfied with a hefty sandwich full of slow roasted Kurobuta (black pig) pork on a lightly buttered ciabatta roll. The succulent pork was joined with the earthy aroma of mustard greens and the strong healthy portion of chopped garlic. If you're a vampire or not a fan of garlic, I'd steer clear of this dish.
Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in Austin. Celebrated my friends birthday here and we will be back for more! Love the affogato too!
Manager tonight seemed to not care about her job and was more interested in her phone then assisting customers understand they're check... Talked down to the staff... Really absolutely ridiculous.... Come to find out from over hearing if u use favor u get an additional charge at least that's what she told the gentleman that was in there tonight... I'm sorry I find charging someone without there knowledge is completely unacceptable. You're tipped if we decide to to you based off service not because you think ur owed it.... I do however find it interesting all of a sudden there's an additional charge... I literally used favor not even a week ago and placed almost a $200 order.... No additional fees or "gratuity" and I did not advise my favor girl to leave a tip.... Interesting.... Rather crooked way of doing business if I must say so.
