Encore Catering Review

As person who regularly attends both social and corporate events within the hospitality industry and a supplier that serves it on a regular basis too, I felt compelled to write this review after last nights wonderful event and meal. Cary Silber and his team at Encore did a wonderful job catering with unique flavours for a totally vegetarian dinner and a presentation to match. Nice to see caters evolve with trends and desires of attendee to these events. Job well done!

We catered our staff holiday dinner using Encore Catering and could not have been more pleased with the result. Brittany was kind and attentive during the booking process and was more than happy to accommodate the changes in our schedule and menu. The food was delicious and arrived on time! We'd definitely use Encore again for all our catering needs.

Encore catered a fundraising event for the global health non-profit that I work for. Every single staff member was incredibly helpful and professional, and really went above and beyond to ensure that the event was a success. The food was also delicious, and we received compliments on it all evening. I highly recommend them.

We had an anniversary party for 35 guests in our home recently and from the first phone call to the subsequent e-mails with menus and details, to the actual event, we were made to feel just as special as if our party was the only event Encore was working on! My experience with Encore Catering was fantastic! Encore helped cater a small event where I was hosting two birthday parties and a 45th anniversary at the same time for my family. Due to the milestone event, I wanted to surprise everyone with professional catering and Encore did not miss the mark! Stacey from Encore was very gracious in helping me with the best menu and making accommodations as well for package options. On the day of, delivery was right on time and very easy to manage. Set up of my buffet style dinner was also very easy, everything was labelled clearly for setup and we were able to dig in within 15 minutes. I also asked for a hot delivery as I did not want to spend time heating the food, and the food arrived ready to eat and the temperature for everything was perfect. Lastly, the food was excellent! There was not a single menu item that did not get a compliment and the portions were fantastic as well - we had plenty of leftovers and it made me happy to think that I got more food than expected for my budget. All in all, Encore is a fantastic catering company to work with and I know I will be going back to them for more events in the future.

Encore's food and staff made our wedding at MCAC. I can't even count the number of guests I had approach me and say that not only was the food the best "wedding" food they'd ever had... but was the best food they'd ever had PERIOD. David Silber was a lot of fun and an absolute pleasure to work with. He did double duty not only as an expert in food and drink, but coordinated a perfect dinner service. His detailedness was impeccable and the the appetizers, entrees and desserts were literal works of art. Can't rate high enough.

We use Encore for a yearly event with about 100 attendees. Staff is friendly and professional, food is fantastic and it takes so little effort to work with Encore! 5 stars all the way!

Love this company. On top of the wonderful job they did catering my book launch, more recently I was treated to the Mother's Day Brunch and I just ordered the Father's Day dinner. We have enjoyed all our experiences very much!

I was referred to encore catering during the pandemic as I needed yeast. I ended up ordering my produce from there and although it was more expensive than the grocery store, it was well worth it as it was very fresh and lasted much longer in the fridge. I am also very happy with their granola, bagels and cream cheese. Everything is so fresh. Love that delivery is free after $25 spent. And you get it next day. So convenient. And you get notified by text when they're about to deliver your groceries. Great experience so far. Will continue to order from them.

I could not have been more impressed with Encore Catering . My daughter got married yesterday and Encore did a fabulous job from their marvellous execution to the incredible food . They arranged a Covid safe wedding that felt like a wedding in any other time . We are over the moon

I hired Encore Food with Elegance to cater for my wife's 50th birthday party. We had about 40 people. I I found all the staff at Encore to be helpful, attentive and professional. Details of our event were seamlessly passed from one staff to another. Everyone seemed to be on the same page.
As to the food: We received nothing but compliments from many, many of our guests for our choices which to be honest, were guided entirely by David Silber (Owner?). The servers at the party were very professional and the small glitches that resulted from our own forgetfulness were handled deftly by the service staff during the party.

And after this glamour wedding this past weekend, I can confidently say that Encore Catering has by far surpassed them all. They paid meticulous attention to detail from ensuring that all guest with dietary needs and allergies where well taken care of while at the same time producing plates that looked like pieces of art. And not only did the food look good, it set everyone s taste buds on fire. All the guests had no words, because they were too busy licking their plates and anticipating the next course.

Just used Encore for our wedding and honestly not only is the food amazing but the service we received from the beginning of the planning process until the end of our wedding was amazing! David knows his stuff and Stacey is so organized and warm. They are both professional and make it that much easier to plan such a big event.

On top of that we had a medical issue to deal with at our wedding and the staff were so accommodating and rolled with the punches.
Everyone at the wedding commented on how the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding - definitely not your typical banquet hall fare!

My experience with Encore Catering was a great one. We needed a catering company for 50 people for my Dad's Surprise Birthday Party. Working with their team, they are reliable, very helpful, unique and accommodating. I personally worked with Magali who coordinated all of the transactions and she made the entire process seamless. She would constantly update our food menu so I could see different pricing options and she adhered to both my budget and dietary restrictions. Even last minute, I notified them that I needed an oven rental and they were patient and understanding and provided me with exceptional service. If you are in the need of a good caterer who provides both quality service and food, this is the place to go.

We chose Encore for an adult party of under 30 people. Our server Heather was fantastic. Food arrived early, everything was on time and Heather took over and did the full set up, passed apps was so flexible with our dinner start time. We delayed it and she was cool with it. Our menu was delicious - countless leftovers! Really fun night - we were taken care of like rock stars!

Absolutely incredible! David and his staff helped plan every aspect of our event and did such an amazing job! His patience and guidance was invaluable and his staff went above and beyond to make our event so special. I literally didn't have to worry about a thing and the food was beyond delicious. We used Encore to cater a dinner party. The bartender and waitress were great - which is the only reason I give this company a Good rating and not a Poor-Fair. The chef arrived and promptly spilled the meat gravy all over the front hall and we gave him a bottle of our red wine in order to make more. During dinner, he was in and out of the house to smoke and he left early. The food was mediocre. The beef from the carving station was fatty, the grilled vegetables, soggy. The big crate of dishes Encore left has been in our front hall for a week and is now being moved to the garage.

We had a short notice event coming up; Encore Catering was very quick, helpful and professional. The food was great with beautiful presentation. I highly recommend them and will use their service again.

Awesome service! Next day delivery in a time when it feels almost impossible to get groceries safely or quickly. A good selection of protein and produce and some key dairy and pantry items. The price was reasonable and when the food arrived it was so fresh and looks delicious! Very happy with this service at a time when we really need it.

I am a busy man so I won't waste your time and mine with a lengthy review. Suffice it to say that Encore was very professional and they met or exceeded all of my expectations. I would certainly use their services again and would happily recommend them to friends.

We hosted a 65th birthday party for my husband in July, our third time over the last few years, using Encore and, once again, they were absolutely fantastic! From the initial phone call, subsequent organizational e-mails until the end of the party, everything could not have gone more smoothly. Melanie Kushner was not only so helpful in putting together the menu and making sure that every detail was checked, but did so with a cheery smile coming through e-mails and telephone calls. The night of the party, our Chef, Darren and our Server, Jane, could not have been more pleasant, helpful, professional and eager to please our guests. NOT to forget, the incredibly delicious food - EXCEPTIONAL! We recommend Encore wholeheartedly and without reservation!!!

Food, service, presentation was amazing. We held a private dinner for 20 people then hosted another 100 and had self-serve snack stations later at night. People raved about the food.

We hosted a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner at our home for 18 people. The staff began by setting the tables beautifully. The servers were pleasant, unobtrusive and attentive, and the chef was great, explaining the dishes to our guests, with pride. Everything was delicious and plentiful, and our guests were all impressed! The staff worked well as a team, preparing and plating food in our smallish kitchen which they left spotless. They packaged the leftovers for us and all the rentals were organized and ready to be picked up the next day. Thank you for a perfect evening!

They made us dry meat when it was suppose to be moist. They use to much sugar. The cooks are old timers.

We hired Encore to cater our outdoor wedding in the country. We knew this would be a difficult task for any catering company - providing good quality food, cooked outside in a tent, to 120 people. But not for Encore. The food was the impeccable. Several of our guests commented that it was not only the best wedding food, but the best steak they'd ever had. The vegetarians were also impressed by the quality of the food. The staff that Encore brought with them were simply the best I'd ever seen. Professional, but incredibly personable and accommodating, they made the night flawless. I would highly, highly recommend Encore and their amazing food and staff.

Not only was the food spectacular in presentation and taste, but the service level was equally exceptional. As a full-time, single mother, planning a large Bat Mitzvah, I needed all the help I could get. I am an event planner and I used Encore to cater a clients corporate party hosted at their house. From the start Cary and Vanessa were wonderful to work with as we planned the menu for the evening and really executed the vision we had in mind for the food. The evening was amazing and everyone raved about how good the food was. The chefs did a great job with the hors d'oeuvres and mains. The wait staff and bartender were very friendly and did a great job as well. All aspects of the evening went very smoothly. Encore Catering is amazing. I was lucky enough to win a dinner contest and each bite was more delicious than the last. Not only was the food super yummy but every member of the team is so lovely to deal with from delivery people to the staff onsite. Look forward to using them for future events and any catering needs.

I was planning a bridal shower in my home. I had heard of Encore but had never used them nor did any of my friends, However my son suggested to me that I give them a call as he had known David Silber and knew that he and his dad ran this company. So I called and from start to finished it was fantastic. It started when Cary came to my home to see what the best way to set up and then I began to deal with Melanie . She was unbelievable. I changed the menu a few of times and the budget was a concern. She was always so pleasant throughout all my changes. The day came for the actual event. A chef arrived to arrange the foods. She was also amazing, so creative with food arrangement and also really accommodating as there were some special requests for dietary nedss.. Chairman Mills was the rental providers also put in place by Encore and that worked out perfectly. It was a great experience and I would use Encore again (in a heartbeat)and recommend them to all my friends

My sons bar mitzvah was catered at the Warehouse Event Venue. What a treat.... the food quality was out of this world. The stations and appetizers being passed around were creative and impressive to say the least. The filet was served to our 200 guests with perfection and the family style sides on the table were incredible. Many or our guests asked for seconds of our Kim chi fries, or Brussels sprouts. Dessert blew us away! They created margarita popsicles for the adults to be passed out on the dance floor. We had stations set up which included chiro ice cream sandwiches and cookie dough.
David and Stacy from Encore were so easy to deal with and so helpful! I will only use them to cater any other event we have!

Ordered a few things to try ( adapted to my veg diet). I am so impressed with not only the delicious food but the professionalism. As a health care provider,I really appreciate the effort to keep everyone safe . I ve ordered my family members meals as I can t physically be there to help during this awful time .

I had a chance to sample many of Encore Catering's menu at their Offices last year and was blown away at how beautifully the food was presented and the nice twist to the usual catered food that you would expect to find. They will work with you to provide that perfect menu to suit your needs. The staff are really great and I would recommend them very highly for any type of event where you need professional catering.

Used encore catering to help us prepare 50 boxed meals for a wedding ceremony. It was soo last minute. I connected with Stacey on Thursday and she sent me a quote within minutes and the order was put through for Saturday. Because of covid we couldn t invite all our guests to our Wedding reception dinner so instead because we had our wedding ceremony at a church (that allowed us to have 50 guests) we had encore catering setup a table right outside the church and have their boxed meals prepared on that table so guests could just come out and pick up their food! All of our guests were so impressed with the packaging of the food and it also surprised them that we even offered them food. The box included a sandwich, salad and colossal cookie. I ve gotten a comment from a friend that he s never had such an amazing cookie in a while haha!

The setup that your worker did on the day of made it so easy for us! Stacey also personalized our menus by adding our names to and that made It even extra special!! The compliments we received from my guests were all positive. We are sooo happy and thank you again!! Definitely recommending you guys to our friends and family!!

We used Encore Catering for our cocktail style New Years Eve wedding reception at Rosehill Venue Lounge. They were amazing to work with and the food was exceptional. We selected an assortment of appetizers, take out boxes, and food stations and it worked great for the style of party we wanted. We were first time customers a week ago for the Thanksgiving meal for two. We were completely blown away by how good the food was. Flavours and quality all on point. Everything was immaculately packaged with easy instructions to reheat. Loved the ease of ordering and then we received text messages the day of delivery giving us a one hour window in which the food would come. This is an amazing service. 10/10. We will be back for Christmas meals and other occasions. Great customer service, great food, great organization of everything. Don t hesitate to give them a try. I can t imagine you would ever be disappointed.

We hired Encore to cater our wedding bash. The office staff was very helpful and responsive to set up our menu and provide a tasting. We were very impressed with the professionalism of the day of staff. They made everything run incredibly smoothly and liaised with us in a way that added absolutely no stress. Our guests raved about the food and presentation. Encore even plated food items brought by our friends and family. We would highly recommend.

We have ordered from Encore several times. It started due to the pandemic, but we would continue ordering regardless. The food has been really good, and of high quality. It's very convenient that I can order even the night before, and for almost any day of the week. I also like that they have a lot of different offerings (e.g., beverages, salads, main, desserts, even frozen coolers!)

We had the pleasure to enjoy your food at the Toronto Catering Showcase Oct 16/16. Although I am not partial to veggies, the Veggie Taco was a treat, and we loved the Ahi Poke. We also tried the Crisp Wonton Bolso and would love the recipe!

I tried Encore Catering's food and service when I was at the Toronto Catering Showcase on Sunday, October 16th, 2016.

Both their food and service was really lovely. They had a lady standing by the booth to introduce us what they were servicing to the crowd which not many of the other caterers were doing.

Food included were the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl, Crisp Wonton Bolso and Veggie Taco. Both the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl & Crisp Wonton Bolso was so so good! I didn't try the Veggie Taco, so I can't say much about that.

I tried Encore food delivery for my grocery shopping. The service was incredible and the produce supreme! I will definitely be doing repeat business with Encore. Thank you and stay safe!

For Mother s Day this year, we made the very best choice of having brunch catered by Encore. The experience was beyond perfection. From the very careful pickup at Encore( due to this unprecedented time), to the packaging, instructions given and beautifully presented and delicious brunch we could not be happier. The items that were chosen by Encore were amazing and exactly what we enjoy!
What would have made it even more perfect of course was to be able to have Mother s Day Brunch with our family, that could not happen this year.

It was easy to order and communicate with Stacey, in administration. Our needs were totally met.

Amazing food! From the first tasting until the actual wedding, our experience with encore was smooth, professional, accommodating and fun. Delicious, creative, reliable, professional... did I say delicious? I know if Encore is catering the food will be delicious, the staff outstanding and I will look like a Rock Star because I recommended them!

Food was amazing, set up was beautiful, but most of all the staff were professional and super helpful, whether is was the office staff helping me set up the event or the event staff (waiters/chef). They are very adaptable, I changed the menu a couple of times, they found me a rental company, the event staff helped us cleaning up after. Everything from start to finish was easy. Did I say the food was amazing!!! I was very impressed, I will strongly suggest Encore catering for any event.

Our Mother s Day brunch was a 10. Everything was delicious, generous portions and nicely presented. Encore knows what they are doing and I will continue to use them whenever the opportunity comes up. Hopefully Father s Day brunch will be just as good. Can t wait! Thank you.

Encore Catering is the top catering service in Toronto. Mother Erth was fortunate to have Encore Catering for our first editorial fashion photoshoot. They brought more than we could imagine, and kept everyone happy and full during our long day.

Breakfast consisted of multiple platters of delicious pastries, and fresh fruit. We also had two huge bowls of various hand cut chips to snack on throughout the day. For lunch, we had five different types of sandwiches to choose from, ranging from bbq chicken to egg salad to a classic ham & cheese. Finally, for dessert we were treated to a beautiful platter full of various mini cakes and pastries.

On top of all that amazing food, they were extremely accommodating to our requests of the catering being 100% eco-friendly. They delivered on glass platters, along with reusable serving spoons/thongs, and provided recyclable cutlery and plates for everyone to use.

Encore Catering was extremely generous and very communicative throughout the entire process, and they delivered everything on time with no issues! 10 star service and food and we will definitely will be reaching out to them for future events. We 100% recommend them to all with confidence!

Very disappointed in what was to have been a special birthday celebration. It seems we were deemed second class as a wedding in the Bridal Path area on the previous day meant resources for our event were secondary. Food was mediocre and staff were exhausted from the previous day. I do not recommend.

Encore Catering did such an amazing and outstanding job at our engagement party that we booked them for my bridal shower. Everyone was gushing about the taste, presentation and quality of their services. They are very accommodating and understanding. They will work with you and your budget and schedule to bring your vision to life. They truly care about their clients and we love them dearly <3

Would not recommend working with this caterer. I recommend finding a caterer that provides better value and is open to rectifying situations where the food ordered is not as expected and sub-par!

Encore catered my wedding and I could not be more happy with them. The apps were delicious and all my guest loved them. We served fish, meat and a vegan option for our meal course. The vegan option was a stuffed pepper on a bed of greens, the guest who order that was pleased with how it turned out. The fish and steak were also done deliciously. I highly recommend encore for your catering needs.
