We had a great experience the first time we used your establishment, but was short lived after our second experience. Due to the lack of communication and materials my family was stuck upstairs all day and my son missed multiple therapies. Our flooring sounds like I m tap dancing, and debris was left under the flooring causing humps. Base boards were not secured and some were damaged after your contractors left. Thinking that was the worst of it, the contractors left multiple times to get materials that were not on the truck. My wife took photos of one team member who was sleeping on my couch as the other installer went to pick up more materials unbelievable . To make things worse I have reached out multiple times with my email and contact number, but your team reached out to my wife who was on the work order. I had told them to call me specifically, because I m the card holder. To my surprise I have not been reached out to, and if you have, no emails and no voice mails. I m not one to write complaints and did not want to write a review as I work as a corporate trainer across the South East. Very disappointed in the service and quality of work. Looking to have this resolved. Our floors were installed November 13, 2019 under Amber Smith # 1-1bsz1qo.

Every part of my experience was amazing. The sales guy was great. Super friendly, honest, helpful. Installers were THE BEST! Job was finished early and beautifully. Cannot recommend enough! Will use again should the need arise.

My experience with Empire was horrible! The salesman that came out wasn't that professional, came dressed in shorts and gym shoes. Tried to only show me the expensive samples and left all the other samples in the car. When I explained to him my budget and threatened to go elsewhere he showed me a sample that was in my price range. The day of my installation 3 guys came, didn't say hello and attempted to start working. The manager of the crew stepped outside and made a phone call for about 20 minutes. When he came back in, he stated to me that I had abstestos and they couldn't lay the carpet down. I called Monday morning and spoke with a guy named Manny and explained that I had abstestos and I need to cancel the order and needed my deposit back of $1300. He asked me was I going to get it tested, which I said yes. He stated for me to call him with the results. I said ok but I still want to cancel and receive a refund. He stated it was cancel and I can expect my refund within 3 to 5 days. After waiting and never receiving my refund, I called and spoke with an representative, and they stated that Manny never canceled my order, per his notes waiting on me to call back with my test results. After I confirm with him twice on the call that my order was canceled. Spoke with Carlos in the cancelation dept and he stated that he couldn't cancel my order because Manny had notes on there and couldn't touch it, which didn't make sense and stated that Manny would have to call me back. I told him that was unacceptable and I called back to speak to an manager who went ahead and finally canceled my order. I will never do business with them again, and I recommend anybody to go somewhere else for carpet and flooring

I hope you will take the time to read this review...it will save you the frustration and money we are going through. The rating of 1 star is only because that is the lowest they offer.
My daughter had an appt for them to take up the carpet in her LR, Hallway, take up the Tile in her DR and have a laminate wood floor installed. When the Installer came out, he tore up the carpet, then stated that he couldn't put the floor down, because there was a Fireproof cement floor under tile in the DR. (see end of review to see that this was not a fireproof floor) So he placed the torn up carpet back down...didn't secure it, it is a Berber carpet so it is snagged at the places he cut to tear up, it is just pieced together, the seams are sticking up, the tack strip is exposed. I have pictures and it looks horrible. I called right away the Sales Man Donald Lamasky as to what they were going to do for us, and that it was unacceptable to have the torn up carpet put down the way it was, without securing it and making it look as close to as it was when the installer came. Also, I asked that she get her Deposit money back. We were told he would see what he could do about the carpet and we had to call Empire and ask for a Refund. That we would get it and Empire doesn't want any negative reviews. That was on July 5th. We are now at July 26th, haven't heard anything, even though I have sent numerous messages to Donald which I have as documentation. I have asked for his Managers contact info so that maybe he has the clearance to refund her deposit money. Nothing.
Empires Customer Service has ALOT to be desired. You are calling into a call center that they have NO knowledge nor are they able to get you to the right department so that you can get the help you need.
You are on hold for the minimum, for us anyway, has been no less than 25 minutes. You then hope you get a person that can speak decent English.
My next step today is calling the BBB to get their help with getting her deposit money returned. We have given up hope that the carpet will be put down as it was when the tech came out.
In the meantime I should mention that a builder has come out to take a look at the so called Fireproof floor under the tile. it is QuickCrete! YEP, not a Fireproof floor at all--it is a thin layer of QuickCrete because that portion of her home is on a slab, a thin layer was put down as a barrier to adhere the Tile to. The remedy is when the tile is torn up, it will crumble, so you clean it up and lay another thin layer of QuickCrete down let dry and you once again have your base ready for the new floor. You would think after 40 plus years in business this would be known by Empire.
So, what we are asking is her deposit money back, a call back from her Sales man or his Manager.
This Experience will be put all over Social Media, our Local Newspaper and I will be sure that I ask all of my Social Media friends to share it...this should be sure to carry it through the United States.
ANYONE READING WHO READ TO THIS POINT... WE MADE A MISTAKE AND DIDN'T READ THE REVIEWS ON EMPIRE...READ AND EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU SUBJECT YOURSELF TO A NIGHTMARE!

My daughter has replied back at the email you have supplied in your feedback-we still have not heard anything from you.

Terrible Customer Service. First, they brought the wrong wood & color for my stairs & they tried to act like it was my fault. The Regional Manager, Kenneth Inghem was very rude & condescending when I spoke to him. Then they made an appointment for the following Tuesday, no call, no installation. Now I have to wait another week for my stairs to finish, because I have Doctor appointment. They never take responsibility for their actions. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY......YOU WILL NOT BE SATISFIED!!!

One of the worst experience I've had in awhile. Confirmed an install date, and company calls well into the morning to tell me they are not coming that day. Needed to take off another day from work to sit at home and wait for them to come out, they provide NO timeframe, 8AM-4PM is what you get. After this, I asked if any discount or anything could be applied since it was now the 2nd time i had to take off work, and was told customer service would call me within 3 days to work something out. Just got off the phone with customer service and was told I was SOL and should have talked to the 1st person about getting a discount. The carpet was overpriced for what it was and customer service was a joke. Thanks Empire

Edit: despite the below comment, they did nothing to help. I replied to email with all requested info and heard absolutely nothing back. Don't believe the BS customer service comment below.

I have had a horrible experience with Empire Today...

I have had a horrible experience with Empire Today. From the moment the salesman entered our home, to the moment the wood installation was complete it was a miserable experience. I have complained to the company and have filed two BBB complaints.

Now, after being LIED TO about the 12 month "promotion" they had at the time with Wells Fargo, my credit score has decreased by over 115 points. The salesman discussed two promotions, a 12 month 0% interest paid, 24 month low interest paid. I brought up to him that I was unsure about the 12 month because the monthly payment would be much higher then the 24 month. He stated, verbatim, "You don't actually have to pay the monthly payments, but need to just have the balance paid in full by the end of the 12 months." Knowing that we were going to be selling our home, shortly after the installation, we went with the 12 months, because we knew our home would sell before then. I started to get collection calls from Wells Fargo, and received no bills because Wells Fargo had the wrong address on file (because we had moved two months prior to this). I spoke with someone at Wells and they let me know I had missed two payments. I paid the balance in full the next week.

After the lies, my credit score has decreased dramatically and now I am in jeopardy of not being approved for a mortgage. I am sick to my stomach over this. I have had exceptional payment history and check my credit report often.

The installation of my flooring was horrible. Parts of the flooring were scratched deeply, permanent marker all over the flooring (and my walls), scrapes in my walls, the installers were rude, and right before they left, they used my bathroom and left urine all over the seat and floor. There was water all over the counter top. This was the worst experience (in regards to outsourcing home projects) by far. DO NOT USE EMPIRE TODAY.
