Kelcie Laleman Review of Empire Today, LLC
I have had a horrible experience with Empire Today...
I have had a horrible experience with Empire Today. From the moment the salesman entered our home, to the moment the wood installation was complete it was a miserable experience. I have complained to the company and have filed two BBB complaints.
Now, after being LIED TO about the 12 month "promotion" they had at the time with Wells Fargo, my credit score has decreased by over 115 points. The salesman discussed two promotions, a 12 month 0% interest paid, 24 month low interest paid. I brought up to him that I was unsure about the 12 month because the monthly payment would be much higher then the 24 month. He stated, verbatim, "You don't actually have to pay the monthly payments, but need to just have the balance paid in full by the end of the 12 months." Knowing that we were going to be selling our home, shortly after the installation, we went with the 12 months, because we knew our home would sell before then. I started to get collection calls from Wells Fargo, and received no bills because Wells Fargo had the wrong address on file (because we had moved two months prior to this). I spoke with someone at Wells and they let me know I had missed two payments. I paid the balance in full the next week.
After the lies, my credit score has decreased dramatically and now I am in jeopardy of not being approved for a mortgage. I am sick to my stomach over this. I have had exceptional payment history and check my credit report often.
The installation of my flooring was horrible. Parts of the flooring were scratched deeply, permanent marker all over the flooring (and my walls), scrapes in my walls, the installers were rude, and right before they left, they used my bathroom and left urine all over the seat and floor. There was water all over the counter top. This was the worst experience (in regards to outsourcing home projects) by far. DO NOT USE EMPIRE TODAY.
