Good conference location but what a weird hotel. The "gym" is super tiny, there was a supply behind my room with staff banging around with the service elevator until 11pm, and a good quarter of the floors are shut down due to construction. Located in a food desert with no on-premise food.

Everything was amazing with the exception of the elevators. There are o ly 4 elevators and one was out of service. In the morning when everyone was trying to get down to the lobby and in the late afternoon when everyone was trying to return to there rooms, the lines and wait times were excessive. But the rooms, the happy hour and the breakfast far exceeded my expectations

We booked this hotel for a pre-cruise overnight. Twice I asked if we could confirm a rollaway in the room--when I booked and when I confirmed about five days before travel. When we arrived to check in, surprise, no rollaways can be added to these rooms (the desk agent was a bit snippy about it too like I should've know that). We were told we'd get a refund. Now three weeks later, still no refund on the credit card. Yes, I called a week ago too! Embassy Suites overall has gone downhill. Hope I can get our $200 bucks back.

We stay in hotels for many weeks out of the year. We have never asked for a room change until this hotel. First room was obviously not cleaned. Someone had shaved and the sink was still full of hair. So we asked for another room. It was better but not clean. Sticky surfaces and my daughter got into what I think was mascara smeared on the counter. We stayed two nights but will not be back as we value cleanliness. Even the hallways and elevators were dirty. The one redeeming thing was the food and beverage guy, I think his name was Steve? He was GREAT with helping us keep the kids happy and entertained during meals even bringing fruit while we waited. Would give that guy 5 stars and the rest of the place 0. At checkout we weren t even asked how was your stay? Or I would have given this information at the desk and not online.

Pros: good location and connected to the convention center. Room was good
Cons: room wasn't ready for several hours after the check in time and well into the night for some of my coworkers. Slowest elevators in town.

Rooms are nice because they have separate living and sleeping areas. The breakfast and evening reception is always a plus. Kind of tacky decor, but I don't really care about that sort of stuff. Always enjoy Embassy Suites.

Update: the valet service has been beyond a nightmare all weekend we stayed. Horrible system, just be prepared when coming and going with a car.

Unpleasant arriving from an early morning trip to an irritable front desk associate... as she loudly huffed/eye rolled with irritation at a prior customer who was turning in his keys - she was happy to complain about him not using the dropbox to me when I asked how her day was going..... from my observation, he was patient while in line. Please don't pass along your negativity when I'm checking in and you're about to tell me a room won't be available for 4 hours.

This is my first time staying here, but our company uses it once a year for our annual convention. Overall great experience. The hotel is centrally located and there are several things to do in the area. Our room had a view on the convention center and the water. The staff was very pleasant and and helpful.

They are currently doing some renovations in the hotel but it was not intrusive at all. The construction on the surrounding area is another story.. traffic is terrible and it s hard to navigate around the hotel.

I will more than upon check in, we had to call the front desk and ask for maintenance to come up. Our microwave did not work and there was a leaky toilet causing the bathroom floor to be covered in water. I will give them credit, they were up to the room within 15 mins to fix the issues.

Side Note: we did have to pay for parking as there is no attached parking for the hotel. They do offer valet, but it is $28/day I believe.

1. A hammer drill is an unwelcome alarm clock, especially when it's being used just feet from one's bed in an adjacent room, at 7:45 am!

2. ditto for the fire alarm.

3. Pretty sure someone at the hotel is running a scam with credit card data being used to hold deposits for incidentals. After having the desk swipe my card at check-in (for $50 per night!!) as an incidental deposit method I had 7 fraudulent charges to my card in the following 36 hours.

Would be five stars but unfortunately we waited 1 hour for valet service due to high guest capacity. Should have been better prepared. Overall staff and rooms are fantastic. park across the street.

Air conditioning just would not cool the room. Others complaining also. This weekend it was also full of volley ball tournament kids. Morning buffet was not adequate for number of kids. Messy....Also at check out time had to wait 30 minutes to get my car out of valet. Not a pleasant stay.

Staff is very professional and respectful. Pool is sort of small. Rooms are very nice and large. Breakfast included each morning exceed my expectations. Pricey and they charge daily for parking.

I liked that they did special events and hours for the con but was unhappy with having NO choice but to pay 50 bucks for valet parking vary long check in major confusion with my reservation and payment option after that it was nice and convent but then on check out there was only 2 carts out of 10 carts for a 20 floor hotell of this caliber had too carry my luggage down the stairs since the elevators were packed on top of that the fire arms went off every night had a view of a wall and some noisy vents the manager made it right for the most part on the fence as to rather I will be hear next year

Very nice, cozy suites. Courteous staff. Outside pool on 3rd floor overlooked the Tampa cityscape. Daily breakfast and happy hour specials for guests is a nice touch. $28 day-rate for guest parking is excessive.

Only used the bathroom because was at an event outside, why two stars. Went to their Starbucks.

Not sure what the rooms look like or anything else.

Really not impressed, the hotel s elevators were so loud you could hear them from your room. The rooms themselves were nothing special, the bathroom was a joke, the toilet handle was broke, as well as the shelf in the shower, and the shower door would not stay closed. The artwork on the walls had dirt allover them and just looked sad. They say the room sleeps 4 but only gives you two towels, we stayed for 4 nights and housekeeping never came once. I understand that with covid things may operate a little different, but we were not informed at check in about housekeeping, WiFi information, or breakfast. I expected much more from a Hilton property and will not be back.

Checked in only to find another couple was given the same room. Our 2nd room had
a view of a wall.....no attempt to make our stay a better one. Also requested 6 months in advance for extra pillows and blankets. Suprise.....no extras. Had to ask for them AGAIN. Will not stay here again. At least we were close to the concert.

Comfortable beds, but hotel is under construction. It should be done by end of 2018. If staying before that I recommend you do not stay. There was a lot of noise, even before construction noise was supposed to start. Did not spend much time in the hotel because of this. Only valet parking is available.

Hotel had alot of construction going on which made for limited dining options. Had to go outside of hotel for dining. Usually known for much better accommodations. However the rooms were neat and clean.

Reservations were a mess from the start. Husband called and was told it was all worked out. Got there to check in...no reservation. Told we wouldn't be charged. Today we were charged full price for a stay that never happened. Called to straighten it out and was hung up on twice. Then transferred to voicemail because there is no manager on duty. Rudest people we have ever had to deal with. Never again!! Follow up: so after many phone calls and frustration they finally came through with a full refund. Thankful for thst!!

Ok

Location on the Riverwalk is great BUT the housekeeping is not so good, had to ask for towels daily and the AC was having issues throughout the building so there were lots of visitors complaining. The valet was understaffed everyday. But one gentleman made our trip worth while "Jarvis " he gives excellent service in every area he can!

My husband gave a credit card to hold the reservation. He paid when he left with a check from his school. They charged his credit card and took the check. It has been a horrible experience trying to clear this charges. Their billing person DOES NOT return calls.

Start with the 45 minute wait to check in. Then at 8 am the construction began above my head. The floor manager refused to do anything and lied about what was going on in this hotel. I'm going to post the construction noise on you tube and on every social media site so people will know the truth. I will update this review latter with more details about how I was treated at this hotel

The good: front desk overnight.

The good: front desk overnight.
The room space.

The ehh: no plugs to charge phones by the bed. Very dated.
Broken items in the bathroom.
Breakfast is not made to order. It's shoveled from a pan of non defrosting options. Like cold triangle hash browns. Cold pancakes. Powder eggs. Bacon was good. The really gross factor.
they expect you to wear a mask up there to get your food. yet they also expect you to sit down at tables that have yet to be cleaned for several cycles of people. Not one attendant for the half hour there came through. When we got there it was very obvious many people had already set at the tables and they were all filthy. So it doesn't matter what they have, If they're sick at all with anything you're getting it if you sit down.
