Embassy of Sweden, India Review

Friendly service. I went for biometrics and finished my interview. I am happy and satisfied.

No sufficient seating facility.
No proper token system.
Guards are talking only in Hindi, Foreigners and people who doesn't know Hindi were finding it difficult to follow the instructions.

World class education is Sweden. It is allowed to go with spouse.

POOR REPRESENTATION OF SWEDEN
It is nothing as compared to the Sweden traits, work ethics etc that I've heard of.
Extremely bad Administration, Unsystematic and careless staff. Even the gaurds are very rude, not respectful and lazy.
Even the countryside office in India works far better than these people.
There is lot of bias for the people who have children as they are allowing them first but not us even if the come very late (like after 2hrs of our arrival).

I am really anguished by the treatment of them towards applicants.
They truly treat us like beggar's outside the temple.

Went for biometrics and had to wait long inspite of having appointment ! Security personnel do not give proper answers. To be improved!

Good, everything went well. Giving priority to children below 6. Drinking water facility.

Suggestion :

* Arrive early for biometrics, like atleast 08:00 AM.

* Fill in the register, once u come, in the order that you arrived (usually that's the way).

* Better to bring an umbrella (optional & to be on safe side in rainy season).

There are 2 benches on the footpath outside the embassy where the people are kept waiting . So there is not enough place to sit . You sign a security register however you have no idea when your name is called . So you have to wait with no facilities around . Waited for 3 hours for biometrics outside and only finished at the end of 4 hours

The arrangement is very nice I went for biometric. The process is to register your name outside of the gate and wait. They usually call 5-6 people inside at a time.
After going inside you have to take coupon and wait for your turn.
They give priority to child below 6 years.

Great architecture and hospitality by the ambassadors. The embassy opens itself to architecture and design events. Love it

This place is situated at one of the best locations of Delhi. The security and vigilance is perfect. We went there for a Great cooking class by master chef Sayan. The embassy is so beautifully designed, constructed and maintained. So many beautiful paintings were there.
Loved the place n people over there.

I had been to provide biometric. They were very helpful. Place is clean and well maintained and completely sanitized during this covid-19 pandemic.

Nice system by the embassy, very neat and clean. If you are accompanying by children aged below 6, you will be given priority

Had a terrible experience. I went there to submit biometrics and on that particular day a huge crowd came for the same. Since the embassy doesn t give appointments for biometric submission there was chaos around and everybody wanted to go first. Even the security guards could not manage the crowd. And then came two gentlemen from the crowd who managed there own list of candidates and started forming queue in their own order. Till the time I could understand what s happening, my number in the queue was 80 which was supposed to be 30 when I arrived there. The embassy officials were very slow and my turn came at 3.30 pm. The biometrics process itself takes just 10 minutes. The good thing was the embassy took the responsibility for serving all the candidates till the evening irrespective of their 9-11 slot. The bad thing was many people had to reschedule their flights and buses since they had come from far off places hoping to finish by 11 am. The conclusion is always keep a day in buffer for such visits to Swedish Embassy.

Unnecessary long wait for biometric.. no seating arrangement. Unorganised

The place is serene and extremely beautiful in nights! Absolutely loved being there!

Staff is very nice. I like the most is giving preference to the people with kids...
Be careful of sardarji who has an auto in front of the Embassy to scam the tourists who finish their work and ready to roam.

Very systematic and it hardly takes 10 mns to give biometrics if you are the first person on that day.

I was pleasantly surprised on the Quick decision regarding my residence card whose chip was damaged, Talked in Swedish to one of the authorities when the gate keeper had no clue How to help me to re enter Sweden. Later in the enquiry section, another official Anjali listened to my plea and provided a resolution within the same day. She was patient, polite well informed & consultative.
I recommend patience and clarity of communication while visiting the embassy and hopefully you will have a good experience like me. The only room for improvement is the betterment of service at the gate where the guards are not well trained to handle all the issues.

Worst quee system. The security people outside never follow the rules. I went their by 7:30 AM with my 6 month old son. Embassy defined a clear rule stating children below 6 years are given priority but wantedly this security made me enter by 11:00 only. He is so rude such a bad attitude. I am sick by these people what is he going to gain by making 6 month old kid sit out side

Great hospitality. Lovely premises. The various flowering plants and large sprawling lawn are a delight in the right season. Parking is right outside the embassy (only main gate)

The process is organised and streamlined. Super helpful staff as well.

The helpline was extremely unhelpful. Was spoken to in a very rude and unwelcoming manner, and my call was abruptly cut without any resolution to my query even though I was being calm and patient with their responses.

Could definitely be better organized. Priority system is screwed up! Friendly staff.

Made 30 people sit outside at 40 Degree Celsius for 4 hours. No updates on why things were taking so long.

Biometrics timings has been changed since November 1st.
Timings are 9-11AM.
Working day : Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

SCANDIC CONTINENTAL STOCKHOLM: THE MST UNSAFE HOTEL
I visited stockholm with a group of 13 people, including my family and friends. As soon as we reached the hotel at around 10:00 PM, my mother's hand bag was stolen from the reception lobby itself. The staff was highly non co-operative. They kept us waiting for even filing a police complaint. I could finally lodge a complaint at 2:00 AM. We were not allowed to see the CCTV footage also. Moreover there is no security personnel in the hotel despite of the fact that the hotel management itself claims that there is a threat of pick pocketing. The callous attitude of the staff towards our misery clearly shows their involvement. I lost valuables worth around 3 lakhs. No investigation was made into the matter by the police and the hotel held zero accountability.This gain shows a nexus between the security agencies, staff and the thieves.
The hotel is very unsafe for travellers and i would recommend that no one should consider it as an option.
There are lot of security issues in Sweden and appropriate help is not available to tourists

The waiting time is way too much and the executives are rude and see no way to hear us out.

Hundreds of people have been waiting outside since last 2.5 hours and no provision of washroom. No estimated completion time for process. Inhuman treatment.

I have attended for biometrics and the staff are very cool and completed my work in just 10 minutes.

The queues are ridiculous long, very limited sitting area and phone calls are never picked. I called visa section on 3 days, in one instance, call picked after 25 mins of waiting. In two other, Call was never picked

I thought my worst experience will end with embassy of Poland, but I was proven wrong. I am waiting since last 1.45 mins just for biometric and the priority level of applicants with children so high that it seems that it will take another 2 hours. Very bad management. Agleast respect everyone s time and have some moderate priority for everyone.

Update
It really dosent matter when you are coming. Its been more than 3 hours and I am still waiting and I have seen people who came just 30 minutes back (without children) went inside. If there is any special rule for people without kids then it should be mentioned on the website.

Very clean and hygenic . The staff is well educated and very helpful .

There for automatically question is come out . When government will do equalizetion economically with socially completely equalitily without time loss with money loss. I called to speak to someone who speak swedish and the receptionist said: I don't speak swedish, and hung up the phone. If you work for an embassy to know the language of the country should be a minimum requirement. We have been trying to call back three times but now she refuses to answer? I am swedish citizen and I demand answers on her actions.

Good ,neat and clean but no parking for our own vehicle. You can only reach there by taxi or auto rickshaw

After Covid19 pandemic they changed to appointment system to give biometrics and interviews for visa process.

Worst embassy experience till date. Waiting time for biometrics with my 9 month old baby was 1 hour.. and yes they don t prioritize children below 6 as I can see 8 single adults already called before us.

Unnecessary waiting time, you need to stand outside for hours just for 2 mins of work. Why don't embassy works on appointment basis ?

Called them through phone they are not ready to hear you out.

Security persons in front were too rude.. they denied giving priority to us (with 2yr old kid)..despite several requests..we waited outside for almost 4 hrs..it seems priority is just in their rule book..!

Very professional people around and the service you get is wonderful. Every staff I met were very helpful and friendly.

Inside office people tell you to call in urgent need,but sad is when you really call for help exactly one hour, there no one pickup or no one care. Feeling hopeless. Sweden visa office need to improve , if compared with others not very good response. Very bad feeling gave to others.

Went here for biometric. The queue and token system is completely messed up. Guards first make you sign a register which basically defines your token number in a queue. However, while calling people they don't clearly mention the token number upto which the line has reached. Secondly they keep sqeezing in people in between those who have an early train or flight or those with kids etc. Also no proper waiting area for queued up people you basically have to wait outside the embassy in our case in mid summer heat. Inside the embassy only one counter was doing biometric. overall token numbers were upto 110 so even if the website says 2pm to 4pm timing but in reality the queue may have gone way beyond 7pm or maybe more or maybe the people with later tokens were asked to go back.

This is very mismanaged given the number of people who may be coming every day and usually who travel from all over the country to delhi for this. Either an online appointment format or more counters or a better managed queue system with slightly better waiting facility is a definite need.

Biometric itself is a 5 minute process.
