SCANDIC CONTINENTAL STOCKHOLM: THE MST UNSAFE HOTEL
I visited stockholm with a group of 13 people, including my family and friends. As soon as we reached the hotel at around 10:00 PM, my mother's hand bag was stolen from the reception lobby itself. The staff was highly non co-operative. They kept us waiting for even filing a police complaint. I could finally lodge a complaint at 2:00 AM. We were not allowed to see the CCTV footage also. Moreover there is no security personnel in the hotel despite of the fact that the hotel management itself claims that there is a threat of pick pocketing. The callous attitude of the staff towards our misery clearly shows their involvement. I lost valuables worth around 3 lakhs. No investigation was made into the matter by the police and the hotel held zero accountability.This gain shows a nexus between the security agencies, staff and the thieves.
The hotel is very unsafe for travellers and i would recommend that no one should consider it as an option.
There are lot of security issues in Sweden and appropriate help is not available to tourists
