If you do not want to book the ticket, I recommend to go no later than 9.30 and no earlier than 16.00 in order to avoid long waits and spend only 8 against the 12 of the one booked online and for a limited number.
I just queued for 15 minutes ... the tour is not long and there is no crowd to see the David.

Awesome!

Awesome!
Without a doubt, one of Michelangelo's masterpieces.
You can not miss this wonder.
In the same museum you can see the Palestine Piety and several sculptures of the slaves.

A masterpiece of the biblical hero David, who took down the giant Philistine Goliath. This is an awesome place to visit if you come anywhere near Florence, Italy. David is a must see when viewing Michelangelo's fabulous work. It's huge, detailed and there is a lot of history behind the artist and his subjects.

Fun facts:
Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, known best as simply Michelangelo, was an Italian sculptor, painter, architect and poet of the High Renaissance born in the Republic of Florence, who exerted an unparalleled influence on the development of Western art.

David is described in the Hebrew Bible as the third king of the United Monarchy of Israel and Judah, after Ish-bosheth. In the biblical narrative, David is a young shepherd who gains fame first as a musician and later by killing the enemy champion Goliath.

Goliath is described in the biblical Book of Samuel as a Philistine giant defeated by the young David in single combat. The story signified Saul's unfitness to rule, as Saul himself should have fought for Israel.

There isn't much to this museum outside of David but trust me when I say that David alone is 100% absolutely worth the price of admission. Never before have I seen a sculpture I was more moved by. Unbelievable detail and elegance...I think I could stare at it for hours and still feel like I wanted more. Breath taking piece of art...

If you ever visit Florence/Firenze without locating David, be rest assured that your visit is not yet complete. You may have to plan again for another visit. The gigantic statue of David is worth the sight. It's magnificent . However, to enter the gallery, one is required to pay within 3 to 10 euros. I am not sure of how much I paid. You can go as early as possible because of the long queue but David is worth the pay and the wait.

Mainly because of David's sculpture, which is impressive. But there are many paintings that are not well explained, and there is some saturation of plaster sculptures that are not understood

How is this not 5. This is THE best statue I have ever seen. Besides the obvious facts which are available to all but the veins in the marble look like the veins in the body. Oh boy this guy was a genius.

Wonderful. A work of art more unique than rare, majestic and imposing that stands as a monument and banner of the Italian genius in the world that is still admired and envied today. The experience of visiting it at full capacity Covid-19 with very few people and almost all Italian tourists respectful of the work and without the desire to take selfies is priceless. To visit absolutely. Immense and evocative heritage that excites and moves.

There are no words to describe this, you must see it for yourself. Any knock off in the piazzas is just that, a knock off. See the real David. Any wait in line is worth it. You have to see it to believe it!

The statue is as majestic as you would expect it to be though I was pleasantly surprised after being disappointed by the Mona Lisa. Unlike Da Vinci's famous painting in France, this statue is not completely surrounded by a ton of folks all the time. You can get quite close to it, walk around it, and appreciate the details of Michaelangelo's work.

Make sure you make your reservation in advance to avoid the long lines at the entrance and you will be good to go!

Super expensive museum. Not more than 2 hours are needed. The music section is small but interesting with some Stradivarius violins. David is a must see but still expensive for foreign students.

Perfect!
