Fort Wayne Civic Theatre Review

My wife and I recently came to the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre to see Beauty and the Beast. We also have tickets for a few other up and coming shows. The experience was pretty spectacular. The seats were very comfortable. The sound system was great. They have some pretty talented cast members working for them as well. The building was pretty impressive on the inside and all the staff were very nice and helpful. I look forward to returning here in the future.

Saw the play "La Cage". It was very funny with a great message. Loved it!

My children perform there as well a stake acting drama and dance classes. Great group of people. Son was in Matilda which I posted pics of. The place and people lights up his eyes and brings a sparkle to his smile.

Seen Ponochio. Cute show and nice theatre. Someone left on their mic and was saying vulgar comments about a small student in the front row. Everyone heard but it was never addressed after the play.

Nice homey environment... My daughter loves performing on that stage.

Excelent local theater. Every seat is great. Cost is much less than theaters in other cities.

Always enjoy the performances here. We've attended a few ballets-beautiful dancers! And a youth theater production. They often offer sensory friendly performances and we love taking our daughter to them.

The show was excellent, but this building is so cold, unfriendly and ugly. The entrance is small and dark and looks like it never got finished. This place is an eyesore in Fort Wayne.

Family friendly indeed! Come as you are (literally). The atmosphere was filled with care, compassion, and consideration for ALL ages.

Amazing rendition of the classic Clash of the Skylanders with Ponies, everything was beautiful & the orchestra was magical, almost felt like I was part of the show! Definitely recommend!

I've been to many performances here and every single one has been great! It's really cool to see people of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds from the community makes such high quality shows. The venu is always very clean too.

I've always walked away so impressed with the skill & quality of the productions here.

I took my almost 9 year old grand daughter and she loved it. She had seen the movie and read the book 2 times and loved the play.

Our most recent visit to the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre was to catch a showing of The Nutcracker presented by the Fort Wayne Ballet. I highly recommend making this an annual event for everyone in your family. The quality of this production is outstanding from the blossoms to the Sugar Plum Fairy. The first few shows of the season also feature the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and the Fort Wayne Children's Choir which adds great depth to the performances. In addition, Sugar Plum parties are offered in conjunction with some performances for a slight additional charge that offers a meet and greet with the performers. This event is a local treasure.

Parking and getting to this location is a pain. Nice staff. Good sound.

The parking lot DOES NOT equal the number of seats. Had to park far away and walking alone at night to my car was not a good feeling.

The show and theater were great.

The Civic puts on a delightful selection of plays with local talent (not the touring Broadway show). Today we saw The Miracle on 34th Street which was beautifully done and had really interesting set design. Other shows have been anything from awesome (Sweeney Todd) to so- so (Rock of Ages), but I'm totally willing to admit that beauty is in the eye of the beholder! A reasonably priced way to spend your day. My only caveat is that the restrooms are limited, so run to avoid the looooong line at intermission!

I love theater just got done watching La Cage Aux Folles THE BEST all can and shall now to the queen. I love it love theater love gay.

Loved everything about the place, the performance and the staff.

On the side aisles that are gradual inclines in most theatres, Arts United has steps that are an impediment to those with mobility issues. There should at least be a railing against the wall. There should also be an aisle down the center of the seats so that each row isn't 40 seats long. Creating a center aisle that is an incline without steps would solve the accessibility issue but I doubt they would ever consider it because they would lose the revenue of those seats they would have to lose to create the aisle.

High quality productions and opportunities to volunteer on and back stage.

The fort Wayne Civic isone of our favorite places to go. High-quality acting great music sound is tremendous and not a bad seat in the house.

I have been here a couple times to see plays and plan to go again in the future. I always look forward to what shows will be there in the beginning of the year. Parking is a bit spread out - like everything else downtown, and if you want a great spot I would recommend heading there a little early. Drink prices are really reasonable and the staff is always beyond friendly.

Never disappointed with the Civic for fun shows. They bring great performances that both elevate and educate.

Finest theater and musical theater productions in Northeast Indiana!

This has been a place of many childhood memories seeing performances with my family. It was amusing to finally bring one of my own children here for (the first half of) a performance.

This place is amazing. We buy season tickets every year the last 3 seasons and not a single show has disappointed. Anytime you get the chance you should go see a show at the Civic.

Even from the last row sound is good, & you see whole stage.

The facility is first class and ALL of the shows, especially Mama Mia, have been professionally done and SO enjoyable.

We just saw "Memphis" last night and it was fantastic. The local talent we have in Fort Wayne is amazing. The audience was ready to give them a standing ovation after a few numbers! Our wonderful Civic Theatre helps make Fort Wayne the # 1 city to live in.

We went to the Taste of the Arts festival. There were so many activities for kids! My grandkids had a great time. I plan to go again next year so we can enjoy more of the live music and performing arts. I highly recommend it.
