El Burrito Review

I have to admit I've never had a burrito this good ever. The tortilla was unique and fresh the ingredients for high-quality and everything just fantastic! I highly advise you give this place to try you'll definitely come back if you can...

It was just OK. I had heard very good things about it and decided to give it a try. Was a little bit disappointed, but I would try it one more time. My cohort ordered the green chili tamales and they were very good.

I live this place, best burrito in town. I love the red chile and catnitas.

I've only ate here for breakfast and was not impressed, and they charge extra for a little cup of salsa which I did not find to be that good either.
***update*** the green chilli burrito is pretty damn good

Been here since 1982! First eatery in Ahwatukee. Everything is made fresh daily. Just great food!

This is the most back wards company I have ever came across. I am a regular customer at this location and I order chicken tortilla soup every time I come here. Well this time ,I thought, was no different until I get home and open the pint of chicken tortilla soup and to my surprise there was no chicken. I called back to ask if they were serving a different soup today and they told me no. So I proceed to let her know that I didn't have any chicken in my soup and also that I had requested it when I placed my order. Her response was that they don't put chicken in the soup and if I wanted chicken that I should have let them know. I reiterated to her that I did ask them to put chicken in my soup and that the 2 years that I have been a regular customer that this has never happened before. As I was explaining to her my situation she would talk over me on the phone and cut me off as I was talking. Instead of fixing my meal and making the customer happy (like any other professional restaurant organization would have) she told me that next time I come in that u should let them know that I want chicken in my soup. I let here know that it was like buying a hamburger with no meat! I was really confused and dissapointed that she would tell me that after I told her I did. As I was saying this to her she told me to have a nice day and hung up the phone on me. All I can say know is that they lost a loyal customer and I will be sure to let friends and family know.

Fast service and authentic flavors in these giant and affordable burritos. Call ahead and they will have your order ready. A good variety offered but if you have something in mind they are happy to make your favorite personal burrito. Taco Tuesday is always a favorite tome to eat at The Burrito Company.

Ordered nachos- real cheese, delicious carnitas-juicy and flavourful, large dolup of sour cream, and a large dolup of guacamole. Very good and worth the price!

Got the wrong order and rude staff wanted to argue instead of fixing the issue. Changed our order to a chorizo burrito which almost all potatoes. There was however a big chunk of grissel for flavor. Bad experience all the way around. There are much better places in the area folks. I won't be back.

Locally owned and operated Burrito Shop - Yes, they do make excellent an burrito, nobody can argue that...however, if you are looking for smiling faces and friendly service here, you may be disappointed. Not that this place has terrible service by any means...the food is always done fast, and served hot...it just seems like a few of the ladies working there (who I've seen there for years), they don't seem very happy to be doing what they are doing...especially during the breakfast burrito rush! If you are concerned about great food and quality burritos, The Burrito Company beats Filliberto's every day...just don't say the wrong thing at the register, I feel you might lose your hand or at least a couple fingers. Food = 5 stars Service = 2-3 starts...the place is clean, the ladies are just mean!

This is really a great place the food is great the people there are great I live in the North Valley I work in Tempe every Saturday so while in Tempe I usually get lunch there and on my way home at night time I stopped off again for a burrito to go..

They really need to crack down on restaurants with health standards. If I was a health inspector I would have it shut down until they get their act together. Yes, they have great food. I wouldn't want to eat with roach's and flies. They wipe down the chairs then the tables with the same rag. Tables are sticky and still have food, sauces still stuck on the table and the floors full of food. Music or TV too loud. If I see this as a customer imagine what a health inspector would see behind closed doors ( kitchen ). Also you have one employee who wants to be real snobby and handles your food right after handling money without washing their hands first. That's what they are supposed to do is wash hands before handling food especially when handling money that is the most dirty thing to handle. The tables and chairs are to be sanitized after every use from the customers. The employees are to clean tables with one rag and chairs with another with two separate buckets of sanitizing solution. Or use disposable towels and sanitizing solution in a spray bottle. Not window cleaner.

I visit Arizona once a year, sometimes less, but every single time I make a special trip to The Original Burrito Company for their breakfast burritos. You can get them at any time of the day, they are very filling and paired with their own house made salsa...I honestly don't know why I eat anywhere else. Love this place

Have been eating burritos here for close to 8 years. Staff is always great and to obtain that kind of consistency in customer service speaks volumes to management/ownership.

Been eating here for 10+ years. It is the only place I will order a quesadilla. I really recommend the chicken quesadilla with green salsa. Make sure to get extra green salsa on the side. Its soooo good.

I hope the three star rating does not discourage anybody from trying this place out. If you stick with the breakfast burritos you will be fine. They have a wide selection and are usually very fresh. Having said that, stay away from their menu options containing meat. They are usually disappointing and bland. Not to say that are bad but they are just nothing special and not worth your money. The price is also unbeatable, great price for a large quantity of food.

I love it here, their burritos are on point and the workers are really friendly.
Edit: I originally put 4 stars but today I asked for an extra salsa and she gave me 2. Also, I ve never tried their barbacoa until today and I have been missing out. There was going to be a photo but the burrito vanished. I need another.

Try the green chili. On anything really. It's superb.
My favorite is the breakfast burrito " enchilada style" so that it is smothered in green chili. You can even call ahead to have your food ready when you get there. Don't miss the green salsa at the salsa bar. Not very spicy, and a delightful, bright, slightly tart experience. You can even try eating cactus. Called nopales, it is a flat cactus paddle, needles removed of course, that you can add to your dish. It has a lovely mild flavor that is slightly tart. The texture is similar to a cross between a zucchini and a bell pepper. Definitely recommend.

Went here for taco tues got tacos and rice and some rolled tacos it's awful food I've been going here for like 10 yrs used to be good food my tacos were like the size of my palm hardly had anything in them asked for a medium drink they charged me 2.10 for a 8 oz drink I would of like a larger drink and paid more and chips and salsa usually come with taco and rice at most place had to pay extra then they bag it up when it was dine in I won't be back should have went to some burritos is way better

For a "Fast Food" Mexican restuarant, the food is filling and delicious!! Try the carne asada burrito chimichanga style, guaranteed to fill you up all day long!!

The food is great but the service is absolutely HORRIBLE. I made an online order for pick up. The estimated time for pick up was 30 minutes after I put in the order. My boyfriend arrived at the time stated and no one attempted to acknowledge he was there waiting for service. Eventually the lady said it would take another 30-45 minutes for our order.... Mind you my order was only 4 items. How can 4 items take an hour to make. Especially with the place being completely empty with no other people coming in or out??? After receiving the food and leaving, he pulled into the drive way which is more than 6 miles away, to get a call that they forgot an entire burrito in my order. After having to drive all the way back and home, i noticed that there was no pint sized salsa that I paid extra for. (My boyfriend didn t check because he didn t know what was in the order, he was just picking up since I can t leave the house). After calling to ask for a refund for the salsa because there was no way I was making my bf drive ~12 miles again just for salsa.... I was told I don t have the authorization to do that because it s an online order. I ll have someone else give you a call when they come in later today .... never got the call and every time I attempt to call them, I m put on hold for more than 10 min before I hang up.... this is ridiculous!!!!

I liked the nachos. Nothing special or over the top, just nachos. Should have had a burrito. Regrets.

This place is horrible pass customer service this lady up front looks at you with a bad attitude we ordered our food and people were served before us it took them 30 minutes because they messed up on the order and there was no communication so we sat at the restaurant looking stupid I will never spend another dime at this place I'd rather go to Los Betos or Filibertos much nicer and better food

Great old school southwest/Sonoran/Arizona style food. Big fan of the tortillas here and the prices aren't bad. Still in business even though snubbed by Fieri for a place across the street. That's because OG Burrito is legit.
