Place is really really awesome, can recommend. Staff is friendly. Quick services available. Car parking service is good.
Rooms are bit old. Room view is nice. Pool is not deep enough.

Had a wonderful time. Unfortunately the weather was not great during our stay. So the kids were a little bored. An indoor play area would have been great. If the weather is good the pool and the beach will be lots of fun. It's very clean and well maintained. Bathroom needs better ventilation. Food is great. The staff are friendly and attentive. The chef came up to us daily and inquired if we needed any special food for the kids. Wonderful place to just chill.

A beautiful and quiet place with lots of German. Too bad are only the many self-appointed tour guide (tug) at the entrance to the beach, the annoying extreme.

I visited this Hotel and spent good time ,,, there was open Buffet along with beautiful sight

There was on thing unlike to me that the noisy sounds of music at one night came from the hotel's club

The staff read every wish from our eyes and in the whole area
Food and drink was also great as the Christmas and New Year's Eve party. The cleaning staff should take it a bit more carefully with the cleaning of the rooms.

We also have many trips to get to know the country and people. Right down the beach you ask for Indi. Indi can German and has made wonderful tours with us. We have also won a good friend with him. We had a dream vacation and will be back.

We spent a great 10 days vacation at the resort. The area is incredibly calming and natural and the room (I think you should choose at least superior) was always clean and very spacious.
I would particularly like to highlight the staff. I have traveled to many countries in Asia, but nowhere else have I experienced such courteous and cordial service as in the Eden Resort. From the waitresses in the restaurant to the bartenders, entertainers and pool boys, everyone was always in a good mood and always tried very hard to fulfill every request. You could almost say you've made friends. Thanks to Kavindu, Viraj, lahiru, Sasi, aja and saman! You really made this vacation special.

The food was always fabulous and the chefs always gave us information about local dishes. The resort was a bit empty due to the season, which of course was all the better for us because there was little going on and we could relax 100%.

If you want to experience something, I recommend trips with Nico. At first I was a little skeptical because he spoke to us directly in front of the hotel on arrival, but in the end it was worth it. We booked a 2 day trip to kandy which we booked through him. Our guide Gayan spoke great German and is a warm and funny person - I would always book tours with him! Thank you for the great time ! We will be back definitely .

Very friendly gentleman who recorded our data and explained everything to us very clearly in good English.

The room was very big and clean.
Food was very varied, you always found something and a culinary highlight.

We also enjoyed the food in the restaurant on the upper floor. And we in no way regret it.
Very tasty, very nicely presented and attentive.

The whole staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Whether in the restaurant in the bar or the boys pushing you back and forth :) everything was very good and satisfied :)

The all-inclusive package tour booked with Alltours gave rise to some complaints:

On the day of arrival (January 15th, 2019) we reached the hotel with the transfer shuttle shortly before 7 a.m.
We were very exhausted from the long flight and the transfer of several hours and were looking forward to a small breakfast and a bed.
We were informed at the hotel that there was currently no room available and that we would only be entitled to this at around 2 p.m.
In addition, there would be food (drinks and food) only from 12 noon. The all-inclusive package is valid from 12 noon on the day of arrival to 12 noon on the day of departure.

On multiple inquiries (also via the hotel management) it was then possible at least around 8 a.m. to get a room allocation.
However, the room was only poorly prepared with new bed sheets. There was no cleaning.
It was therefore not possible to move into the room. However, we were able to park our suitcase and exchange our winter clothes for adequate clothes.
The cleaning of the room took place around noon.

However, the hotel did not give in to the lack of food. There was neither food nor at least coffee.
We have never encountered this kind of business practice on our many all-inclusive vacations!

On site, we presented the problem to the local Alltours contact. However, he showed little interest, rather he wanted to sell excursions.
In his opinion, the fault for the lack of catering lies neither with Alltours nor with the hotel management, but exclusively with the travel agency.
In his opinion, this should have been booked a whole day in advance (i.e. one more day), in this case on January 14, 2019.
After the vacation we contacted Alltours again. Here too we received the same statement.
There was no apology or compensation.

Other numerous points of criticism about the hotel were:
- Some of the rooms are in need of renovation (damp, moldy silicone joints, brownish discolored shower curtains)
- The rooms and balconies are not cleaned properly. The hair of all previous residents can be found under the beds.
- The cleanliness of the bars (and behind the bars) would not withstand any food control in this country.
- Since the hotel not only accommodates all-inclusive guests but also half and full board, but no wristbands are given out for differentiation, the chaos is perfect:
The service staff is now only occupied with querying room numbers, filling out slips of paper by hand and having the guest sign them for each drink.
A simple order takes so much time and the actual service falls by the wayside!
If you want a glass of wine or a glass of water with your meal, you are better advised to get it yourself at a bar. Otherwise you run the risk of not receiving the glass until the meal is over.
- The sea in front of the hotel is unfortunately very polluted. A river flows into the Indic precisely at this point. This is heavily polluted by garbage, plastic and germs.
- Snorkeling is not possible in the spacious area

Nice hotel to visit with the family. The staff was friendly and kind enough to provide us a room upgrade. The buffet was one of the best which I have ever been to. The hotel also has access to one of the best beaches in the area. The pool was very nice and had access to a pool bar and pool volleyball net. They also have a game room as well.

I have participate a wedding function here. All the service are good. Friendly staff.

Direct beach location, pool area with pool bar in the middle of the area, lawn with palm trees, very friendly and courteous staff, food for all tastes, everything was great!
Good possibilities for excursions by land or water. Boat trip in the mangrove jungle is highly recommended and impressive.

We would like to thank Eden Resort and Spa, we are really happy with the service we received. All our requests were accommodated and the attention we received from the staff was simply amazing. About the food, we had dinner, breakfast and lunch, excellent taste..

Bad experience from our 1 night stay at this resort. Food was not good. Basic facilities were missing at the resort. Room was too small. No slippers, tooth paste or soaps. Hotel staff were not friendly ....... over all a very bad experience out of all the 5 resorts in SriLanka we stayed!!!!

We were 14 days with the whole family on site. This was my fourth time on this beautiful island. The hotel was very good, there is a large selection of food with the meals. The staff are all very nice and helpful. For the birthday of my wife, the hotel boss personally took care of the registration. Thank you again for that. You can only recommend the house.

Really wouldn't bother, food is awful no variety. All inclusive isn't all inclusive. Some staff amazing some staff shockingly bad. No consistency in what people tell you. Reception staff RUDE. No entertainment. Rooms poor quality.

It is a wonderful experience I had in my life. We checked in there 17th Aug and checkout 18 Aug 2019. Delicious foods are the best of yours.and your kind decent and staff are so great. I would like to thank your staff member Ms Orista Charuni to giving us extra care about our team members and there childrens.I will be there defenetly. It's a heaven for all,

Ayubowan - the Eden is an absolute recommendation. The hotel is very clean, the staff very attentive and courteous. The food is varied and regional. Here the focus is really on making every guest an unforgettable vacation. Also as far as animation or entertainment, as well as excursions are concerned, all possibilities are open here without being intrusive. True to the motto: everything can - nothing has to!

This is one of the best hotels in Beruwala for this price range.. Location is really convenient if you travel from Colombo. You can take Welipenna exit. From there, only 12km.
Rooms are not much bigger, but for a couple it's ok.. 3rd floor is better for view both pool and sea. Room equipped with all basic facilities. 55 inches TV. Blu-ray player. Mini fridge etc.
Only con is the air conditioning system, which can not adjusted below 22 Celsius degrees which is maintained by Central system.
Food is soo good.. So many options are available and they all are very delicious. Even the room service food is really great..
This is recommended to anyone

Nice plant with direct beach access and great views of the sea. However, this hotel is already very old. The beach chairs on the area are tw. in a very bad state. The understanding of cleanliness (especially in the bathrooms ...) is different than mine here. The staff is mostly very friendly and attentive and the food is also in the green area. A little disturbing and exhausting are the flying traders, who want to "catch" every tourist at the entrance and push for all activities. My personal conclusion: Does not necessarily have to be again ...

Even at the discounted price offer I went on, it's not value for money. The hotel is alright, but the food is nothing to talk about. If your a meat lover, then forget it. Rooms arnt very clean and plenty of dust and half cleaned residue on most of the furniture in the room. Even the staff arnt that helpful, but of course the few who do genuinely serve do so with a smile. They just can't seem to cope with the guest numbers. But the reception staff were very polite and helpful, including the bell boys.
Couldn't even get a baby chair for my 1 1/2 year old. I had to fishing a few cousions off chairs so I could raise her seating, and even that a few staff noticed but offered no assistance, not that I was expecting it, but still curtacy would have been a nice gesture.on the plus side they do have a game room, a pool table (badly maintained) and a club that has DJ music in the nights.No plans of ever visiting again. Feel a lot more can be done to lift standards and sincely do hope management plans on lifting it up in the future.
Could just be that as a frequent Traveller and patroniser of hotels, my expectations from a 5 star hotel are at a certain level but still.......

Private quarantine center for people who arrive to sri lanka from abroad. Meals have average quality. Portions are good. Double rooms have not enough space.

Nice place, lovely for photographs, facilities look clean and well kept. Parking is a bit far from the main hotel tho and there isn't a valet service.

This is not a five star hotel, it is a poor three star at best with rude unhelpful staff. The location is good so I'll give it two stars.

Family holiday perfect..rooms need better lighting very hard to see as theme is very dark and not enough lights. Staff are great and food is good..

I was there 2004, 2010 and 2014. We were treated as King and Queen. The staff is kind and We felt as family membrers! Love this place! Hope to go there once more!!!

Really good ambitious service provide by the hotel staff

Ideal to spend your vacation. Staff is helpful and attend to your concerns immediately. Got a warm welcome. Meals were great. Many varieties to pick. Rooms are spacious, clean and has the view of sea. Mr. Yohan Kudahetti, who was the front desk manager, helped us all the way from reservation to departure. It was definitely a wonderful stay and we hope to return again.
