Very peacefull place well organized and cleaned. Looks beautiful. Staff was very kind. I loved been there

The hotel is wonderful, with beautiful views, and a clean beach.
Not suitable for conservative families ,,
Also, I have a wonderful note about the reception staff, except for the female supervisor. I met her very bad and the psychological one was worse.
I hope to keep her away from the reception because she is not good at dealing with guests
And also providing wrong information
Example: I asked for a crib and told me that the bed has about a fee
1,500 Sri Lankans per day
Upon checkout, the receptionist said he was not charged

The spread on weekends are good, very friendly staff.....
For a 5 star hotel they should improove the finishing touches to their rooms which were recently renovated

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Eden Resort. Absolutely fabulous from beginning to end. The staff in all departments are brilliant. They are happy and smiling, attentive, polite and cant do enough for you. We enjoyed the various demonstrations from fruit cutting, curry making, coconut and Toddy tapping and much more. The sports staff put on various fun games such a boccia, water aerobics, darts and more. Bar staff are also great fun. Food is very good and there are many choices from all around the world.
A great New Years Eve party was put on with outside meal and music, dancing and fireworks. Various other outside meals were also organised as well as beach parties.
We went on tours for the day or overnight to Kandy which was also superb.
I would recommend this resort.

Room was nice enough, but the finish was a bit rough. Looked like it's been done on the cheap. Service was ok. Very lovely staff who were very friendly but it took a long time to get a drink or meal.

Food was not as expected. Staying was good but was noisy because of maintenance work goin on

Miss Tharani is the most helpful person that made us to enjoy the hospitality which was very remarkable. She provided all the assistant since the arrival until the departure. Due to her attitude and contributions we will plan in due course to come again to your hotel.

We stay 2 nights..very awesome food...very nice service.....kids want to stay more....beach and pool are very clean...hotel lobby room service very nice..I recommend this place..

Very nice hotel with very nice staff, no matter in which area. Those who do not like it here have something to complain about. Great food for every taste and if something is missing, they make everything upside down to make it possible. Highly Recommended!

The lunch was average. There wasn't a bug spread. They even charged a refundable deposit for the towels

I didn't like food much compared to Chaya Trans and thier washroom setup is terribly uncomfortable. Water is entering the room. Room size is too small.

A very nice, somewhat older hotel with direct access to the beach. The Ayurveda area is beautiful
created. The treatments are highly recommended.
The staff under Dr. Chandrani is very well trained.
Otherwise the hotel offers very good, varied food in the form of a buffet.
The entire service is very good and leaves nothing to be desired.
We would love to come back.

It was a fabulous stay at the hotel. The guest relations officer Deepani was so very courteous and helpful. Rooms were cosy and spacious. Food was beyond expectation as the variety and taste were great. Overall a great hotel with a nice staff to be with.

It was good but in our room a foul smell from the a/c was coming so we had to shift to another room

It was a great stay. Almost everything was there. We got a wide range of srilankan corner. Staff is very friendly.

The facility, that food and the rooms are very good. In the sea, in front of the hotel, you can not swim out because of the current. But did we know before that? Excursions we booked through Nico. Everything perfectly organized. In sum, a wonderful holiday. There are still five days to come but again.

Lovely hotel, very good staff and excellent service. Food was tasty and the options can be lesser than normal during the off season. But the kitchen staff oblidge and prepare from the A la carte menu and give you ,if you dont like whats in the buffet. Great hotel

Very nice resort with great hospitality. The rooms are good and all facing the pool. Food is also good. Mrs.Orista was very courteous and caring.

The friendliness of the staff and the deliciousness of the food is the best..

Nice friendly hotel and staff. Variety of dishes provided during dinner and breakfast. Large swimming pool. Nice long flat beach for walks or running. Nearby city centre of Aluthgama for groceries or market shopping. Can plan trips to other parts of Sri Lanka with various your companies. Also bus from outside hotel takes you to Kalutara in the North where there is a lovely Buddhist temple. Take the bus south to Galle or Bentota.

I do not recommend it, nor do it deserve two stars, not cleanliness, no service, poor reception, and everything.

It is a nice hotel. Very friendly staff and a really good kitchen. A varied mix of Sinhala and European food left nothing to be desired. We can recommend it to others.

Really a good place for the tourists...nice locqtion near the sea area and you can have that experience as well.... Local foods are not up to the stadard.

What I liked most about the stay in this hotel is their friendly staff. They went all out to make our stay as comfortable as possible. To add on, delicious spread of food and lovely ambience of their hotel which oversees the Indian Ocean. Overall fantastic stay!

We have been visiting the Eden over the last 20 years and live it. Fab position to tour. Lovely staff. Always well treated here

Nice food.. Good staff.. but it lacks the ambiance of a real resort.. it is actually a Hotel.. also it has shops and allon display so it has that international tourists targeted commercial centre feel.. I wouldn't say price and name don't match the concept

We were there on our office trip and a group of about 30 people. One of the oldest star class hotel in the southern coastal lines owing to that rooms are bit old type but cleanliness is vey good. Rooms are comprised with old bathwares and equipments but functioning properly.
Really nice food with great variety. We were greatly welcome at the reception and the staff at the reception as well as restaurants were really helpful and friendly. Animators assigns to the games and morning water Zumba discharged and tremendous duty. They were really enthusiastic and energetic and persuaded us for the events.

Pool is good and even with the fullest occupancy there were no rush at the pool owing to its design.

Only negative comment that I compelled to post is the unavailability of pork .

It s worth stay for the paid money. Hotel offer seasonal offers for the bank credit cards up to 60%.

Very nice, pure relaxation, pool unfortunately very warm and no real swimming area, the food was good and staff friendly, the beach is directly addressed for tours, of a guy called Manu, as came out of conversations with other guests the prices are very different, depending on how you look. I would take care here. We did a mangrove tour with him, he tried very hard, the price was reasonable. For longer tours I would at least compare with official providers.

Our families stayed in 6 rooms this weekend and it was a Great time we had. Very nice and helpful staffs. Especially reception manageress, staff and restaurant staffs.Food was beyond expectations. Huge varieties and tasty food.The Chef was very helpful by accommodating our request in providing vegetarian varieties.Pool and environment was very nice. Indeed it was value for money. Highly recommended.

Actually intended as a highlight of our Sri Lanka tour and awarded as a 5 star hotel. Of the 6 hotels visited, worst hotel of the whole trip: Bathroom not cleaned, closet door from the wardrobe falls out, view from the balcony (which one shares with the neighboring room) on shabby courtyard and dirty beach chairs. After asking for another room unfortunately only the statement that the hotel is overbooked. This is not the quality we should expect from a 5 star hotel (booked through Secret Escapes). And all in spite of the commitment to give us a nice room for our honeymoon. We had previously contacted in this regard by e-mail.

wonderful stay!!! The kids really enjoyed the food because there were a good variety of food in the buffet and also cannot forget the staff who were very helpful at all times.The swimming pool was nice and well maintained ..valuable for money!!
Hoping for visit again if possible

When we checked in the room was not swept but after complaining they made the arrangements to clean it. The food and the environment were great. But we were very disappointed when one of the staff members told us it's good to have foreigners than locals. If they don't want locals to come there they should inform it beforehand rather than asking us to come there and humiliate.

The place is nice if the view is overflowing with pools and the rooms are sporium tight

the Eden resort is one of the best I ve ever seen - and i ve seen a lot especially in south/southeastasia. The service is just excellent - the people are so extraordinary nice , without wanting something in return - it s just super special . The area is super relaxing . At the time we were here , the waves were really strong , so we couldn t go into the ocean , but let me tell you , the pool and hotel area is so natural and beautiful - you can just recharge so good! Also the spa is doing an amazing job. But The best thing is really the food. We had all inclusive and the buffet is not what you are used to when it comes to all inclusive - it is just Next Level !!! Total recommendation !!!!!

This was my first stay at Eden. May 2017.But I have stayed in Dickwella which is under the same group for 3 times..

1. First of all the welcome by the security and the doorman (Piyananda and Ranasinghe ) was simply super, genuine and heartwarming altogether.

2. While we are having lunch we have been taken cared by Pawanee and Dhammika who was simply courteous and attentive. Super staff members .You should keep some folks like that..

need attention on,

1. Dinner time rule of having trousers for gents is utterly nonsense, while five star hotels in the global level becoming much more bendable in these Victorian traditions , you drag it behind.

2. Although it s all good to have that kind of rule ,my only problem was that I didn t bring any long trouser with me since I m on holiday with my family.



4. Though all the ladies wear all reveling dresses and shorts and gents are discriminated on gender?

5. When your staff member requested me to wear a sarong I did that without a minute of hesitation and without making scene. Because yelling at your staff member will be totally useless and not good to their self-esteem.

6. However the same staff member let other foreigners to wear shorts inside. And one gentleman was allowed simply because he claimed to have so called operation done in tummy and refused wear sarong and dined in the so called prestigious restaurant . So my question is who is there to verify these shocking and hilarious reasons. I should have come with same kind of silly reason to not to wear and bend to abide by your old aged rule.

7. I have taken up this issue with the duty manager at that time Mr. Samantha, and he was modestly speechless and wasn t in a position to give me a proper justification.

8. While rule is a merely dumb that violates basic human rights and a clear act of gender discrimination the rules are changed because we are local who are paying same or better rate than the foreigners who comes in only seasons.

9. Foreigners were greeted and ushered to tables. Where we have to find a place to sit and call at least twice to get water or get the table cleared. When they come we are treated like dirt, no smile only arrogance, and clearly No Sir/ Madam they were just talking. They even not bothered to ask on what we like to drink for the dinner, while they run behind white skin. Compared to other five stars I have visited .this is the worse I have observed. We were not served only because I stand up for an issue last night and no waiter /waitress was paying attention to us. They were totally ignoring us.

I love your property, I will be patronizing your hotels for both business and leisure.

I know they can be issues like lack of staff, background issues, high staff turnover etc. which is common for service industries, but we are not that low to be treated like this in our own country, when we go to other Asian destinations we are treated very well.

Remember and make note that the people who are condemned by your staff will be the most powerful consumer in 7 years to come.

The Sri Lankan middleclass people has the highest affordability in south Asia in coming 7 years .

One nice place to spend the day including water sports in the sea. Buffett at the restaurant was great due to hot Hoppers and Koth-thu with lines of local and continental dishes. Great ambience with friendly staff.
