What a spectacular hotel!! Service and cleanliness was on points. Staff was very friendly and attentive to detail. My mother always got a green tea and pineapples cut for our table because they didn't have any at the buffet. One our last day the staff that looked after us, Chamodi served us both pineapple and green tea without us having to ask. That right there is what I call amazing staff! The only downfall is that you need to shower inside a bathtub which is hard due to restricted space. Overall, highly recommended The Eden Hotel, prices are suited very well.

Great place. The staff were awesome with the kids. The pool was excellent, live a swim up bar, and the food was amazing. The beach was terrible. Covered in litter that the tide brings in. We found 3 broke glass bottles in the sand on our only venture down to it.

Our friend booked a DBL Room on FB for us on the 19th of May @ the rate of Rs. 15,000. While checking in we requested a Triple Room. Following were the issues we faced during our stay.
- called the housekeeping several times to request for towels as they have placed only two. Had to wait more than 1 1/2 to get the the towel and I had to keep everyone waiting to go to dinner.
- The AC doesn't work in most of the places in the hotel specially the room, restaurant, bar etc.
-The most irritating incident was that at the time of checking out they charged me 25,000 for a triple room. It doesn't make sense to charge a DBL at 15 and then for a triple 25. It would have been better for me to get a DBL and a SGL by paying a bit more. Finally they charged me 22,500.

Our mistake for not checking on the triple rate at the time of checking as we never expected a reputed organisation to take advantage of a trusting guest.
- Food is not that great. But to be fair, I don't expect anything more than they provided because of the discounted room rates they were offering.

With the way they handled my checkout I wouldn't want to go to Eden ever again.

Eden is a nice spaceous hotel. Food is great and staff is very friendly and helpful.

A bit worn down though- it's clear that it's an old hotel which hasn't been maintained through the years. However the current management seems to be managing the day to day business pretty well... Overall great hotel except for the infrastructure which may need a bit of reconstruction..

The smell of the rooms and the bathrooms is not suitable for the conservative families, which are old, not five stars. As they claim, they force you into rooms in front of the pool until you reject it, then they ask for additional money.

Lovely hotel, rooms good with balcony overlooking the pool. On a beach. Only 4 stars because didn't like the food.

Eden need to maintain their standards because if not international standard rating system is not useful. Required to renovate the hotel building and furniture need to update. Food supply is good and room boy /managements are friendly.

Wonderful array of good to choose. Beautiful ambience. A friendly chef who ensures that you enjoy the food.

This beautiful resort, opposite to the sea and live directly where twice twice 2014 and 2019 is the same change in which can be increased emphasis on entering and inspecting the bags ... Bed comfortable in both times take a room on the ground in front of the pool directly and wide and the staff are very busy and helpful .. Breakfast varied and a lot taken Three nights and each night a buffet type took three nights with breakfast, aisha and two children for $ 360 in July 2019 I recommend it

It is a great place to relax And they have excellent food and worth of spending money on it.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are clean and modern. Food is very good and has a large variety. The staff are friendly and helpful. The spa in the hotel comes highly recommended. This has a wide range of uses. The pool and the gardens are also great. Always my pleasure.

A very pleasant hotel! We rested there for the second time. We chose it again, since there are much more pluses (compared with other hotels in the vicinity) than minuses. Eden is a very good choice!

What a memorable experience. The hospitality of the staff was second to none. From the security person to managers level all staff treated us the same way and they were really helpful in all the ways.

I have already visited the Eden 20 times. I spent the most beautiful, funniest and most relaxing holidays here. The management always strives to offer all holidaymakers a wonderful vacation. The entire staff is very friendly and you have the feeling that they want to fulfill all of our wishes.
The food is excellent. The garden was super great. Always music in the bar in the evenings.
Who wants to spend an unforgettable vacation. The Eden Resort is the best.

I just don't understand why they call it a 3 person room when the 3rd bed is an additional bed. They charge 40 USD for an additional bed. Doesn't make sense. Totally expensive.

This is definitely not a five star hotel. Whoever reviews it as such must be lacking in experience of staying in good hotels. When we arrived on Sep 14th everyone was given a Welcome drink. Ironically at the entrance there is a big sign saying Please help us ban plastic straws . Well, the drink was served with guess what- a plastic straw. The room was in the basement and smelt of mould. The extra bed we were given for our daughter were two dirty torn mattresses that even a dog would not want to sleep on. Then we found lots of mould in the bathroom. The ac did not have a control that functioned. We went to complain and got a suite. The suite had ants in the bed, the bathtub poured out rusty water, only one bedside lamp etc etc.
The food in the buffet is very mediocre as well.
Be aware that There is a club on the property that plays incredibly loud music Every night until 2am.
The day after we decided to check out. Oh yeah, at lunch we were served a drink with two plastic straws each...

Yesterday was Christmas Eve. Everybody has made a lot of effort to make this evening as nice as possible. THANK YOU

Superb extreme hospitality. But, poor facilities. Bathroom standards are far too below the expected 5star standards. Garden arrangements to be improved specially at children okay area. You will witness by seeing my published photos. Basically we had a good experience with difficulties.

I honesty didn't expect it to be this good. The food was great, as in the spread was extensive, different verities. The rooms were standard for a hotel, and the service and spa didn't disappoint.

I did not like the room is dismal, its smell is bad, the furniture is old, the place is busy. I checked out after an hour

The hotel is on the sea beach but not safe for swimming. Always red flag of danger is placed on the beach. In the dining hall veg and non veg items are mixed, even beef is kept side by side of chicken and fish. Very difficult to take non veg items for tourists of India (Hindu, jain etc). Though the hotel is beautiful and good for spending vacation.

The most beautiful place to conclude your trip to Sri Lanka .. Luxury wonderful clean .. buffet full and varied .. But be sure to reserve your reservation in order to increase the fun .. Unique experience I hope to repeat soon and I advise everyone to book it.
