Everything about dinner here was perfect. Our server was attentive and friendly and the food was incredible.

Excellent. Date night. Waiter named Michael asked is how things were. Told him our micro premature son will be home soon. And after a superb dinner, we were treated to dessert. Highly recommend. And thanks Michael. Very much appreciated.

I arrive in Austin from the Seattle area where we practically walk on seafood and cannot wrap my head around the fact that we ordered crab cake (not cakes) and raw oysters only resorting to splitting an 8 oz filet to round out our meal.
The appetizer and happy hour menu was off the hook. We really loved the place and found it a fantastic respite from the hustle and bustle of the 6th Street dine and dash mentality.
I will agree that it is, I suspect one of the higher priced options but the combination of outstanding service and really, really great food actually made it a great value.
I would suggest you done on the starters and appetizers and do half orders on as many thing as you can handle. Even the half orders was enough for the two of us to split!

This place is phenomenal. The 12 ounce fillet was one of the best I have ever had, the shrimp was amazing, and the Crem Brulee as the dessert was probably one of the best desserts I have ever eaten!
The wait staff was also very very courteous and humorous! Overall, great experience.

This is where you go for a fabulous celebratory dinner. No where else. Great live music. Great energy and service.

Went here for our 20th anniversary the staff was wonderful. The chef sent us little bits of this and that. Food was excellent. Drinks were great. Cant wait to go back make this a tradition.

What a great meal! So few places really understand how to prepare seafood but this is one of them. Service was 1 st rate and a great wine list too... A definate food destination in Austin.

For the price, it was slow and inattentive service.

I went to Bristol on a business lunch last week and it was quite impressive. The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. I would recommend getting an entree from the "fresh catch" section of the menu. All of the fish on the section is flown in (never frozen) and you can really taste the difference. The sides were all delicious and great. It's a bit pricey, but you're paying for high quality food and it is well worth it!

Seafood... very satisfying. Entered near eleven, it wasn't packed. Really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, I'll be back. It has a great interior.

Food ambiance and parking logistics is everything with this location being in the heart of downtown. Live music with an amazing meal at Eddie V s is a Vegas dining entertainment experience.

Really nice place to eat. Waitor was really nice and recommended some really delicious dishes for me to try. Just wish I didn't get so many looks by the people eating there just because I was a little darker skinned and significantly younger than most people there. But all in all really enjoyed my experience here

Went in for the first time with my friend who's been there a bunch. The food was super good and our bartender, Bruce was very attentive. He also makes a very nice martini. We had a fun time.

Some of the best seafood in town and the ambiance and cocktail menu make it even better! Can't wait to go back!

Steaks were thick and juicy. Potatoes were flavorful but not overpowering. Good Cesar salad. Did not have the right bourbon.

My husband made a reservation that day for our anniversary and Yolanda made our night! The food was amazing and service was top notch we wanted for nothing and each course was timed just right. A must try for anyone who enjoys delicious food and great service.

The steaks and service are great but the place is incredibly noisy. The Happy Hour margarita wasn't a hit. For the price, I can only give it 3/5.

Our waitress was knowledgeable energetic knew the menu and what wines paired with our food the best. Our cups where never empty. We had a large group of 11 people and all of our food was delivered at the same time at the perfect temperature. I have a severe allergy to shell fish and the head cook graciously prepared all of my dishes to ensure that there was no contamination. If I could rate the wait and kitchen staff by themselves they deserve 6 stars.

So why the low rating? First, mistake the manager was at the front of the house greeting guest and never acknowledged us. Second, while using the facility's I was washing my hands when the same manager came out of a stale and returned to the front of the restaurant without washing his hand. Kind of makes me grateful that the first thing happened. Lastly, two people in our group order muscles and of the 11 people these two had unsettled stomachs for the rest of our evening.

Expensive, but the best fine dining in Austin, from my experience.

If you don't know about this place you are selling yourself short.

The best staff in the city. Eddie V's is always vibrant while maintaining a high standard for (sea)food and timely service. This is the original restaurant and a must!

It is Eddie V's! Big steaks, good seafood, and a nice atmosphere. Parking is hard here, so I suggest you Uber it or valet. The desert are good if you save some room, but sometimes that is hard to do

I have walked by here for years not considering it because it looks attached to the hotel and sort of too much like a chain. But I just went twice in a row with clients and colleagues and had a really pleasant dinner. Nice creative menu and fabulous service.

Everything was superb, oysters and yellowtail sashimi were really fresh. My snow fish (Chilean sea bass) was perfectly cooked (mouthwateringly delicious ) and medium cooked bone in ribeye was super juicy and Smokey! Hot dark choc Godiva cake was meant to be More than that service is beyond excellent . Definitely recommend and absolutely gonna come back next time we visit Austin. Splendid

Very delicious seafood, fresh and well cooked. They oysters are good and the seabass.

I usually love eddie v's, our family eats here often. Tonight, I am very disappointed... my drink was forgotten, our steak was way over cooked, and it took forever to get it. Medium rare and it came out well done. We would of sent it back, but we have a play to get to. Disappointed.

Outstanding seafood and better service. Sit in the bar and ask for Brittany or Brandon and enjoy great live lounge music. Crab fried rice!

Try the truffle mac and cheese. You won't regret it!

Best lobster bisque I've ever had. Coming from Seattle and Alaska, that's saying something!

I am very familiar with this concept and quality and I will say that the food was just ok this visit. The ambience of the resteraunt was nice but very loud. Our server was very robotic and I was surprised at lack of involvement and personality. A very boring dinner. They gave my daughter flowers for her birthday and a free dessert but no candle , it all felt very rehearsed and not genuine. The best thing about my visit was Lauren, the manger. She was super friendly and welcoming. I appreciated her hospitality. I always appreciate people who treat my son like a real person and not a nuisance. Don't judge children because you don't know their situation. Thank you Lauren for not doing so.

Hard to believe such a fine dining seafood restaurant would be in the middle of Texas. Comfortable and appealing dining room. Servers in white dinner jackets. Our server,Sama, was superb! His suggestions were spot on. He paced our meal perfectly. Raw oysters, with probably the best horseradish we've ever had, started us off. Caesar salad and a Fuji apple salad followed. Entrees were redfish and Chilean seabass with a side of fried rice topped with crabmeat were outstanding. Would highly recommend Eddie V's Prime Seafood.

Good steaks. The starters and sides were pretty good. The lighting was bad. They're definitely doing their part to conserve energy.

1st class all the way. Great service. Great atmosphere. If you havent been...GO GO GO!!!. Place is outstanding

Went here for my fiance's birthday and had a wonderful experience. Our waiter Jeff helpingly walked us through the menu and suggested the best meal options. The lobster tacos were great as well as the crab fried rice. This place is where it's at. Superb!

Great place and best seafood in Austin. I used to frequent both north and downtown location for several years. Do not live in Austin and made a reservation by phone well in advance that was obviously lost; got caught in Austin traffic and was going to be 20 min. late. I thought I was being courteous to call and let them know. Booking was full and receptionist on phone would not accommodate me. Have not been back since. Have not found any better seafood in Austin and may go back but make sure you "reconfirm" reservation.

Excellent spot for quality seafood. I love this place. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. Kinda of like a place in Houston that I enjoyed.

This by far was the best experience I ve ever had at a restaurant for my birthday. I consider this an upscale restaurant and great for date nights. I received a complimentary wine, dessert and appetizer on the house. The one thing that sold me was my server Luigi, who brought professionalism to a whole other level. In transition from dinner to dessert he brought a steaming damp towel for us to clean our hands! It left my hands so soft! My hand status is so vital to me so I fell in love with the care. The staff that night signed a birthday card and it was brought to my table with the house special dessert. The manners of the staff is good. They didn t even charge me for my valet. The best night I ve experienced. The food is great, wine is great EVERYTHING is great. If you can request for Luigi to be your server ask for him and leave a more then generous tip! I ll come back just because of how he made feel as a guest. Like a queen. I didn t expect anything much but a bday dessert. I left amazed.

I went there tonight with a group of 15 and ate a lot, everything I had was great! The staff was great from the hostess to the bartenders to the waiters, our main waiters' name was Aaron and he was amazing as well. Very nice and knowledgeable. We had a tight schedual because some had to get to a comedy show which is strict about seating time, we told him and he made sure all of our food got out in time we even had time for dessert with a minute to spare! We literally applauded him. Amazing place!!

Eddie V's frustrates me in certain ways. It's too dark, service isn't always great, and some of the preparations take away from the quality of the ingredients by being overly fussy.

Great place for some high-end steak and seafood, this place does fresh seafood like you're in the Northeast!

Good seafood, good service. A great place to go for happy hour - half price apps and discounted drinks. The downtown location has music which is great but if not your scene try the one in the Arboretum.

Great food, get the seafood don't get the steak because it's just average.
