Being totally unfamiliar with the restaurant scene in Austin, I left it up to my date to make reservations at Eddie V's. Much to my surprise, it was an awesome restaurant experience. Excellent food, excellent service, fair pricing, incredibly romantic booths resulting in an A+ evening! Do not leave the restaurant without having the desert of the house! Will definitely return many times!
"The pork chop was very juicy and served with a slice of pork belly."
Great food, great drinks, great service. Loved the oyster selection.
Pretty good food, great service in downtown Austin at the crossing of San jacinto and 5th Street. There was a ton of people even on a Wednesday. May be a good idea to get reservations done. Good local beers on tap as well.
Seafood, so delicious. Very savory. Prices were decent. Feeling here is similar to a cafe in San Jose I liked.
There was a taste of high quality and freshness.
Not to mention the service was kind.
Everything is a must.
Killer tortillas. Amazing bartender. Food was a little cold.
Fantastic dinner. Thanks for making our anniversary special
Went here for a dinner date and was amazed by the attention to detail by the staff. The food was exceptional and i will definitely come back!
Exceptional service. Seafood was freshest in Austin. Steak was good, cooked to perfection but a bit salty for my taste
Phenomenal food and service. Went for my birthday dinner and they had rose petals on the table, along with a signed birthday card. That made my day. The food was out of the world. I had the bacon wrapped filet mignon with jumbo crab meat on top and it became my favorite steakhouse. I highly recommend it!
One of the best. Never disappoints. Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are by far one of the best you'll find downtown Austin.
If you're in Austin and want to splurge on a top end food and service, this is the place.
Best food and Bar service. Ask for Bruce he is amazing and an Austin legend!
The best! Happy hour Salt & Pepper Shrimp,
$1 Oysters, best crab cake, excellent cocktails, best service in town.
The food was delicious and the service outstanding. The filet mignon was tender and juicy!
Great lobster and service. Brandon and Brittany kept things fun.
Outstanding experience!! We came in for dessert at 2345 last night, the restaurant looked like they were closing but the bartender was incredibly friendly and welcomed us. This was truly a lovely experience, from the bartender to our waiters, it was more than worth it. Our 3 desserts and random choice of lobster bisque soup was perfect. This was my first time at this venue, thank you for a wonderful end to our evening!
Great steaks, though I opted for the lobster tails. Yum!
First time coming here and not sure if it will be the last. We were celebrating my best friends birthday and our waitress ruined it for us. My husband was asking if we could do mash potatoes instead of the lobster ones. She rudely said yes but it s just going to be plain mashed potatoes and just kept repeating that. The 10 yrs that I have been with my husband I have never seen him tell a waiter that their attitude was pretty bad and affecting our dinner. Our waitress name was Angela she did change her tone after my husband spoke up. It was just a shame to have to even deal with a waitress with that type of attitude. The food was amazing but this waitress ruined it.
The food is just amazing here, the chef always has new specials that I enjoy. I ve at least added 10 pounds from eating at this place.
In town for the COTA MotoGP races. Long day at the track on Sunday 4/14/19. Wandering 6th Street and we asked a bouncer outside a club for a late dinner recommendation. He suggested Eddie V's and wrote the address for us on a slip of paper. We walked to the restaurant and immediately thought we were under dressed when we saw the place. Tuxedoed wait staff, yet we were welcomed in shorts and t shirts. Our waiter, James Bourassa, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Informed us of the in house custom cuts of steak available as well as recommending accompanying sides. We ordered the 16 oz strip steak and the 12 oz filet. For sides we got twice baked potatoes and asparagus. Dinner was beyond fantastic! James took care of our every need. If I ever get back to Austin I will return. I highly recommend this restaurant. Incredible meal. Thank you.
Great food and drinks with jazz band in an intimate setting.
This place was highly recommend so my wife and I tried it out for our 16th Anniversary trip to Austin. The reservation process was simple. Upon arriving we were seated at a nice table covered in rose petals and a nice Anniversary card. Our server Eric was awesome (with a badass beard). The food was perfection. The complimentary champagne and dessert was very much appreciated.
Food was excellent as always. What was disappointing was the bartender continuing to serve wine to the belligerent drunk sitting at the bar who refused to stop talking to me and attempting to start arguements. I politely asked the bartender to intervene as I was mid-meal and the bar was packed but he simply shrugged it off. Management needs to train staff how to handle these situations.
A fabulous meal with extraordinary service from Jason. Nothing unusual for the place.
Great appetizers! And half price during happy hour. Great service and drinks as well.
Fabulous. A grand experience. Highly recommend. Thanks Adam!
Bar area with live entertainment is awesome. Food is amazing and don't pass on the lobster mash potatoes, they are incredible. Gary at the bar is one of the best in Austin. Incredible wine selection too.
Ordered fish with asparagus, the wait staff was very informative, courteous and attentive. Sat next to the bar area, while the bar was packed, the service was quick. The fish was delicious.
Great food and service. Save room for dessert if you can!
Top notch service, booze, and of course great food. My swordfish steak was delightful. I will return on my next trip to Austin.
why order a steak in a place that serves seafood this fresh and this good? best calamari in town, oysters as fresh as if you'd gotten them off the boat. people watching is pretty entertaining too.
Expensive. Fish was dry, steaks were good. Service was superior.
Something is different in Austin. The food was good but the waiter was extremely rude, perhaps the rudeness is the difference. First, we love Eddie V's in San Antonio and are regulars their.
As we finished our dinner we asked for a dessert menu. The waiter responded no this table is reserved at 8pm. It was only 7:11. We said we have time but he refused to serve us. Had we known that beforehand we would have selected another place. Bad management!
One of my favorite steakhouse in Austin! Everything is delicious and the service is amazing! Highly recommended!
