Recently visited the location downtown the staff and the service were absolutely amazing Angela the waitress was very professional and her customer service was excellent. Definitely would recommend this restaurant and will be returning and the near future thanks to Lance the manager for the recommendation. Best restaurant by far.

I love this place. The first time I went I had the crab cakes for an app and their Chilean sea bass special. It was amazing but the Chardonnay that our waiter suggested brought everything together. The decor was cozy yet elegant and accented by seductive lighting. I would recommend this place to anyone in search of great seafood.
If you sit at Eddie V's long enough you will hear conversations of powerful lobbyists, elected officials, and successful business owners. One of the favorite spots during the Texas Legislative session is Eddie V's and with good reason. Steaks cooked to perfection, deserts to die for and a wine list as long as my ______, well i won't go there. Anywho, pricey, but a perfect place to create a dining memory.
Took the wife here for our Anniversary. The staff prepared a special table accented with rose petals, very nice. We took the recommendation of our waiter Adam for most items, and he hit it out of the park. The crab cake was unlike any I've ever had and quite spectacular. I had a filet with shrimp in a barbecue butter sauce and my wife had scallops and we split the crab fried rice side. Just too good to put into words. Best of all, they hooked us up with a free bananas foster! Despite being miserably full, this was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Great food and great staff!
Poor service (twice) and average food on the three occasions I've been to Eddie V's. Last time, service was downright rude. We'll be hard pressed to return.
Definitely pricey but you get what you pay for. Excellent sides and excellent oysters and seafood. The steaks were good but I like homemade Wagyu better (crab topped, bacon wrapped filet is almost an exception). Come here for the great service and great food (not steaks) and you won t be disappointed.
We had a large group of 10 and made reservations way in advance as it was a big football game weekend. Had a wait for the table and it was in the bar section instead of the dining section. Once we got over that we had a good time but it was hard to hear each other. Our server was great! She was patient, attentive and kept us happy and entertained despite the food delay due to a crazy weekend. Food came out hot and delicious. Everyone was happy with their food. Great live music-not necessarily what you would expect in an Austin place but really nice. I would definitely go back to this restaurant.
This is great food and drinks. Quite a bit pricier than your average restaurants, but well worth the splurge. We had amazing, high quality seafood and drinks. The service was also good.
Outstanding food and superb service. We enjoyed a memorable meal with friends from the calamari appetizer, to the perfectly prepared filet mignon, to the phenomenal truffle Mac and cheese. Every bite was delicious. Would absolutely visit again next time we're in town.
I went there with some friends. The atmosphere was ok. Nothing special for me. The tables for so expensive restaurant were too small. We didn t have place to put our staff and foods. On the other hand the food was very nice. All of us ate steaks. They were very nice cooked, soft and delicious. The side dishes were also very delicious. It is really expensive place but once you can afford it. The deserts were also very delicious. Nothing special but tasted. The waiter was polite but he took the order in his mind and finally he did a mistake.
For a high end chain they do it right. Quality seafood and steaks and great service. I'm not a fan of chains but the service here and great happy hour make it worth visiting.
Wasted $600 on disappointing food and poor" service!! You guys are not" the establishment y'all used to be sadly.. I've taken friends and family members in the past, most recently 1/4/20 for son's 20th birthday. Won't be returning", will let management know monday!
This place has one of the best settings, this very night they had a live band playing sorta Jazzy/ Blues type. The atmosphere is wonderful, The Host and the wait staff are amazing and are on the job when it comes to helping you make the best food selection . I described to the waitress what I would like to eat and she pointed me in the right direction on the menu according to the types of fish and the types of sauce including one of the most amazing dish ever. Loaded mashed potatoes glazed over with a lobster bisque and real lobster over the top. This has to be by far one of the most ridiculously good flavorful taste you could ever imagine. I would definitely recommend this place to all who seek delicious Quality Seafood this far inland.
Went for my birthday. The food was really wonderful but it did not make up for the absolute horrendous treatment we received from the waiter who basically told us we were jerks because we didn't want a plate taken away at that moment. Very disappointed. Expected great things.
My wife a I love this place. We go there every year for our anniversary. The staff knew us by name after the first visit. We would recommend this place to everyone!!! The food is well priced and delicious. Must go!
I don't actually like seafood; this is one of our favorite steaks in the city. They are fantastic. The sides are very good, though the truffle mac and cheese was a little green oniony for my taste. The twice baked potatoes were amazing. The filet was amazing. The bananas foster was AMAZING. Very good food, very attentive service. I probably slightly prefer Eddie V's, but this is my second in the city.
Eddie V's exudes a very New Orleans vibe with its sexy lighting and jazz tunes. My husband and I had been missing the Louisiana seafood that we grew up with, so we decided to try happy hour for a more wallet-friendly dining experience. While it's by no means inexpensive, the seafood is fresh, legit, and totally worth it. For my money, you can't beat a plate of their palm-sized Gulf shrimp and cocktail sauce. And I really enjoyed their take on crisp fried oysters with a little zing from pickled cucumbers. The biggest issue with happy hour is timing--the music in the lounge begins towards the end of happy hour, but the lounge gets crowded. Plan to grab a table between 6 and 6:30 to both take advantage of happy hour and get prime seating.
Awesome Sea Food, Wine options . Starting from appetizers to dessert, everything was well cooked and tasted perfectly well. The waitress was so kind and served us !
We've been several times and they're a favorite for special occasions or date nights. While the food is obviously a highlight, the service is what really makes it special. The last time I went, I remarked that the dining room was a bit chilly, and a shawl materialised in about a minute. The staff always have great wine recommendations for your meal, and the steak has been consistently cooked to perfection.
just another old vegas style steak house: chrome, glass, wood. big steaks, the usual sides, nothing new. bar menu is a much better way to enjoy this place. there's live music in the bar.
This is one of my favorites. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is always excellent. The chef pays attention to the flavor and presentation of the meals.
Date night! As always, great food, great service, wonderful staff! We usually sit at the bar so with Covid in full effect, we sat at a hightop butted up against the bar; perfect. Jon and I shared the Cesar salad, Eddie V's shellfish tower, and then we added the black truffle mac and cheese. We were so full we had to take some home! Thank you again Eddie V's!
Such an amazing experience from the moment we walked in and were greeted by Jessica until the very last bite with Eric and Luigi. We also received superior service at the bar with Brandon. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the menu as well. We cannot wait to come back to Austin just to eat here!
Seafood was spot on. Ribeye was great. Service was awesome. Crab fried rice was amazing. Everything cooked perfectly except the crab legs which were very overdone. But we ignored it because everything else was so good. One of top restaurants in Austin.
Trying to be a NY style steakhouse but not quite making it. The only aged cut was a cowboy ribeye, but the aging could not be detected in the meat. Good sides & fish items make it easy for the omnivore, but the meat doesn't cut it
Eddie V's has a great happy hour if you are craving Oysters! I love the special horseradish they serve it with. Service is great and as you would expect at a fancy stake restaurant.
We usually go to the Dallas restaurant , we didn't have the dining experience we expected . It's not acceptable to receive a very well done fillet mignon when I ordered a medium well . I don't return food to be fixed , if returned , I won't order anything after . Had to have dinner so I ate some of it . Not a happy customer .
wow!! what an amazing experience. great attention to detail, very attentive, made us feel very special. Sama was a great waiter!! thx for the great memories.
Amazing experience! The food was outstanding. The prawn starter was to die for and the Red Snapper was brilliant. My colleague has the NY strip loin steak and in his words "best steak I ever had". Ask for Jeff as your server. He was amazing, passionate about the food, good with the recommendations and provided excellent service. Highly recommended!
Had an absolutely wonderful experience here, Eli our waiter was a master, our drinks and munchies in the bar with Gary were superb, great service, great food, and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
This is my favorite Monday night Happy Hour place. The drink specials are very well priced for the type of experience you will get. I love the touch of live jazz music and friendly staff. I still think the food is a bit over priced, even for a fancy steakhouse, but that may be just me. Wine selection is huge and have yet to have a subpar experience.
Great live music, perfectly cooked steak paired with their truffle Mac and cheese. Brussels sprouts are great too! Exceptional service. Bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable. My husband s favorite place in town.
Eddie V's was absolutely delicious and fun!! We sat at the bar for our dinner. Our bartenders Bruce and Paige were fantastic. We also met the manager Duan. Very friendly.
INCREDIBLE service. We came in for happy hour, our party was 6 people, we had 3 rounds of drinks and tons of appetizers and our bill was under $170. As classy as this place is, we thought we'd be spending at least $250. We were shocked. Eddie V's made this Portlander feel at home.
We come every time we're in Austin and it never disappoints. We had Yolanda and she gave us wonderful service. The NY Strip Oscar style is always to die for! We do prefer the crab rice over the lobster mashed.
Fabulous food & service! Very pricey, but...Austin. Our waiter was terrific & helpful with recommendations.
I got the chicken- it was brined, and served au jus with shiitake mushrooms. Generous portion of 2 breasts and lots of mushrooms. AMAZING!!! Best chicken we ve ever had at a restaurant and it will live on in my taste bud dreams. Husband got the redfish with a heaping topping of crab meat. He enjoyed it. We split a side of spinach w/ garlic at our waiter s rec and it was wonderful.
