Decent view but that s about it. Shown to our reservation 20 minutes late and then the food was average at best. Service was ok once we sat down but it was damage limitations at that stage. Won t be coming back.

The first thing you need to know about Duck and Waffle is that it is open 24/7, and serves real food. It s a life saver for those unplanned unnecessary nights out drinking without supper. Problem solved Duck and Waffle.
The cocktail bar is also good. The view of London from the city is just amazing.
Also, keep an eye on the lift as it descends, at a disturbing rate, and only starts to slow two stories from the ground expect a big squeeze from your partner ;-)

Incredible experience! The service was brilliant from the moment you step out of the glass elevator that raced up to the 40th floor. Vibey background music keeps the atmosphere upbeat. We were seated at a large booth with more than enough room for our group. The food and wine were stunning, so interesting and somewhat interactive, great to share too. We were lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunset which finished off the evening perfectly. Cannot wait to return!

Very disappointed. This place used to be one of my favorite restaurants in London but I m never coming back. They made us wait more than 20 minutes outside to go up and they told us the restaurant was fully booked. The staff then said we could eat at the bar but turns out we could only eat appetizers. Very unpleasant experience!

Breakfast at the Duck & Waffle is absolutely remarkable. Very welcoming, fantastic food and the view alone is worth the visit.

Might be a bit on the expensive side, but if you're just looking to treat someone (or yourself, of course), this place is just about perfect!

When I return to London again, I'd simply love to go back for their evening menu!

Ok ok

Great View. The London City lights looks stunning and mesmerizing from the top.

Food is delicious. We ordered the duck and waffle and it was good.

Service was also excellent.

Overall it was a great experience.

Most definitely one of the most expensive breakfasts I've eaten. Was it worth it?
Sure. The food lived up to the hype and to my suprise, the confit duck and waffle wasn't my favourite. It was the duck egg en cocotte that blew me away that morning. As it was my first time eating this dish, I have no references on what it is supposed to taste like. If you like melted cheese and truffles though, this is a dish for you.

I don't really care about the view and their dress code is rather confusing. I definitly saw people there on trainers and sweat pants.

We went here on a Friday late afternoon, we had no problem getting in for drinks, the usual standards applied for entry, i,e smart dress and not visually inebriated. Once in we whisked our way up to the 39th floor for a few drinks with relatives , we thankfully got a seat next to the window and enjoyed cocktails in a lively modern bar. The drinks are my only complaint, if you just want a soft drink you are forced to pay a pretty unnecessarily high price for soda water in a pretty quaint glass. But then some may say you don't go to these places to drink water.....

Nice restaurant with outstanding views but a bit overcrowded. Staff in the restaurant are very kind a polite, the opposite to the staff of the bar and the sumiller, who were rude. Even though I'll recommend it for a special occasion.

Average food. Have asked concierge to request a table by the windows which concierge has confirmed that I have been booked for it. On arrival they haven't actually been able to fulfil my request which they promised they will on reservation.

Tried Duck and Waffle for a Birthday Breakfast, and it didn't disappoint! Breathtaking views are accompanied by delicious food, most of them classics with a twist but done to a very high standard. Crispy BBQ Pigs ears and the signature Duck and Waffle dish are must haves.

Disgusting food. I can t cook but even I think I could ve made better. The bread was stale, nearly broke the knife whilst trying to cut into it .The duck was off and beef was raw. Absolute waste of money. Should ve gone to McDonald s instead

Hard to find a reason not to recommend this place. Fantastic views from all around the restaurant and cool seating. The duck and waffle dish itself was surprisingly good - I wasn't sure what to expect.

All others dishes looked pretty great, so don't feel limited to the duck and waffle itself only!

Really great service and the view is one of the best I have seen of London. We had the Duck and Waffle which is clearly a necessity and it was perfectly confit sweet and crystallised on the outside and soft on the inside. We also had the lamb and scallops in the pictures, all cooked pretty perfectly. I had a 'hay' whisky which came in the coconut shell with hay, it had a complex flavour with a sweet almost Banana aftertaste.

I went for the brunch menu on a Sunday. Best to get public transport if going on a weekday or Saturday otherwise on a Sunday parking is fairly close by on single yellow lines for free. The service is good and staff are friendly and easy to get hold of. We had mocktails made for us that are not on the menu which were really good. We started with Columbian eggs and tried the fried shrimp both were very tasty. I had the Elvis waffle which I really liked. Food was priced as expected for a restaurant in this location. I would recommend it for food and the stunning views.

The place has one of the best views in London, it's great that it's open 24 hours. It is recommended to make a reservation on the website.

The main dish is Duck & waffle a dish full of flavor, just like the rest of their food. Staff attention is good.

Make no mistake the food and the view of London here is excellent. Myself and 6 members of my family went for brunch today and all of us really enjoyed our meal.

What has let this restaurant down is the lack of training the waiting staff have received.
1) The waitress spilt a drink all down the back of my brothers shirt - accidents happen, we got some free deserts and coffee at the end of our meal. Could have been a lot worse, manager offered to pay for dry cleaning - ok no issues.

2) When we order drinks together BRING THEM TO THE TABLE AT THE SAME TIME! come on how hard can it be - put the coke, orange juice and apple juice etc etc all on the same tray. There was 10 minutes between my orange juice and my wife apple juice which were ordered at the same time.

2) Table booked for 11.45am. We weren't seated until well after 12.00pm and food didn't reach the table until gone 1pm.

3) DON'T START CLEARING THE TABLE WHILST SOME US US ARE STILL EATING.

4) DON'T OFFER US THE DESERT MENU WHIST SOME OF US ARE STILL EATING OUR MAIN.

5) BRING ALL THE DESERTS OUT AT THE SAME TIME NOT 5 MINUTES APART.

There's some basic restaurant rules here which are being broken in my opinion, hence the 3 stars.

I was lucky enough to be taken here on my Birthday. Just getting to the restaurant is an experience with the elevator ride to the top of the Heron Tower.
Our waiter was helpfull and recommended the bacon wrapped dates and the duck & waffle. Our somelier was also really helpful and recommended a wine that was not only good but did not cost the earth.
I will return when I am not paying the bill again.

I have been here for my birthday which happens to be on Valentine's Day. The food was very tasty and the service really good. The location and the view are breathtaking. If I may only leave one critic, they should have been a bit more prepared for the night in terms of food quantity, but for the rest everything was excellent.

Amazing food in a great restaurant. Definitely recommend visiting if you're in town. Booking would be ideal for a particular time.

Food is outstanding and well curated. Drinks are relatively standard with some minor variations on the menu classics.

I visited this restaurant because I have a love of skyscrapers and cityscapes. In that respect it was a stellar experience. The glass lift was another gem. The staff were super friendly, the dining space was nice but really noisy, and the food was a solid 7/10. Portion sizes were on the megre side, and the food was tasty, but not really why you go - or not really why I'd go again. When booking, try and ask for a window seat (if you have a small party). It makes the experience really great.

We made the reservation two months in advance just because we wanted to dine at sunset time. Got the confirmation SMS 3 days prior to the booking and replied. Yet upon arriving on time we were told to wait at the bar outside with the loud and annoying music. We only got seated 15 mins after our booking time (which was supposed to be the time of holding a table for late comers), and we got seated because we complained to the manager. The manager admitted the restaurant was overbooked. The key thing was, when I tried to go into the booking system in the morning of the day, I saw evening slots available.

Food: the crispy pig ears and smoked eel were fine. The mains were so-so. Nothing special for their signature dish. The rib-eye was heavily seasoned which made it awful. The main was served before we finished the starters. Was this supposed to be the arrangement? I bet not, as the table next to us had their starters before us and they only got the mains after they finished starter.

Staff: Right before getting into the building, the staff who guard the door downstairs was unfriendly. When we got upstairs and were told to wait, the staff didn t show any welcome faces. We asked one staff to recommend drinks for us and her face was like I don t care .

The one star of this review goes to the view of the restaurant. I would not recommend this to my friends who re coming over to London.

Absolutely love this place, not sure if they still have octopus on their menu but it was divine. The view is breathtaking whether you go during the day or at night. Great for date night, or even a light bite after a few drinks!

When you go to Duck & Waffle, obviously you're going to get the duck and waffle. Don't expect too much from the eponymous meal my friends - but then again who does from American-inspired cuisine, amirite!?

All together, it works well! But only for a few bites I'm afraid to say. The greasiness of the duck paired with the cloying sickly sweetness of the maple syrup, not to mention a smear of the fatty duck yolk on top, is a surefire recipe for atherosclerosis, or worse, inability to finish the exorbitantly priced plate.

The view is spectacular though. So perhaps impress your date with the views at the bar instead. No need to book, and you can buy a cheeseburger from Macdonald's afterwards. It'll be more authentically American then anything you'll find at this place.

A unique view of London and a unique dish duck and wafle. Very good food, very good service. But do not be surprised at the reservation, because you will be given a time slot, no more. So enjoy it well!

The two great things about this place are the buzzy atmosphere and the views from the 40th floor. Part of the overall experience is the super fast glass lift that takes you from the ground floor to the restaurant on the 40th floor where you can enjoy the views of London. As you arrive you walk through the spacious bar area which, in itself, had an exciting atmosphere of trendy customers enjoying the views and sipping beverages. The restaurant itself consists of three glass walls where spectacular views of London can be seen. The food and service were both generally very good with prices of certain items a tad of the high side. What let the experience down was the manner we were spoken by, presumably, a manager which tainted the experience. After ordering another desert, we were abruptly approached by member of staff telling us that we couldn t have it as we had exceeded our allotted time of 90 minutes and that there were people waiting in the bar area for a table. After we told him that we would be quick, he said that he would proceed with the order but would need to place the bill on the table as soon as the desert arrived. The tone and manner in which we were spoken to was offensive. Had the said member of staff been more courteous, there would not have been any issue.

Super busy - food took ages when it arrived it was cold - eggs not cooked - staff basically dumped food on table and walked off -

Really nice place just trying to cram too many people though the door - my last experience was really good and the manager this time did take the price of the cold breakfast off the bill so that s good service .

Just needs a bit more attention to detial and a bit of a clean really - if your charging top prices give top service .

Would I come back - probably yes but if it doesn t up it s game then the next review might not be so favourable .

Booked the table 3 months in advance. On the day arrived 5min before and staff asked me to wait few minutes in the bar area as we are earlier. Few minutes doesn't mean 30min!!! Especially that we could see other people arriving and being seated. When asked one of the staff why it's taking so long, the girl which asked us to wait said that she has forgot about us! I was ready to leave this place but my Mrs...we have had a gd table on the windows with some view. Service was ok, not perfect as our starters arrived separate and I asked the waiter to bring them together and than main. I was disappointed with the starter (3small peaces of octopus). Main was nice, tasty. When my bill arrived there was small survey paper which my Mrs filled up. Another waiter came to take my payment and after what he read the survey and throws it to the bin on my eyes... Seriously? Have some discretion!!
Went there once and don't think so that I'll be back.
