Ambience in the evening isn't particularly great and the venue doesn't do enough to promote the fantastic views. Food is good but pretty toppy for what it is.

The food was amazing, the view was amazing, the staff, not so helpful. The food is 5* but unfortunately the staff have brought this to 4*'s
The only things good about this place is 24/7 and good view. The food average. Bad service and difficult to get reservation.
Great restaurant with high-quality food and drinks and the views are AMAZING. It is a bit pricey, but it's worth going there every once in a while.
Great view but I felt the food didn t match. Ordered Steak tartare which was chucks of meat (Usually finely chopped) and not enough onion or crackers to eat. The chicken was a long wait but tasted sweet and overly seasoned with truffle. The food really lacked balance of the flavours
Renowned London nightlife restaurant located on the 40th floor. "The journey" in the lift is very beautiful as well as the panorama that you can admire while enjoying a nice meal at the tables placed near the windows. Varied menu with special combinations and combinations. Average London prices. Kitchen open 24 hours a day.
Great location for a special event with great food and attentive service.
The food was excellent and the view the same. I am a sucker for the duck and waffle signature dish, but the seabass and scotch badghi were also great. The service was prompt and friendly.
Interior very worn out, menu doesn't offer a great range, staff polite but a bit negligent, the only good thing is the view
Very nice atmosphere, unique view and wonderfully food
Only came here for drinks but the Duck and Stormy was great.
The nice thing about this place is that it is so bird like. The waffle infused duck is just simply phenomenal
Fantastic views, I went with my family, they love it, food was delicious, my mum and I order duck & waffle, we very like it, duck was crispy and waffle perfect, the view was spectacular,
Service was nice, we would certainly come again.
Greatttttt food. Service not the best but food is so good
Perfect for business meetings and greetings. Ww had a business dinner and the food was perfect. Very nice and gentle service. Amazing view of the city.
Not good for the JOY of FOOD!
It was my birthday treat, kindly organized by my boyfriend, so I really wanted to like it.
The rapid lift ascend into the 40th floor in seconds - was thrilling, and the glorious views of London were truly enchanting...
As per the culinary experience it was very disappointing - putting it very mildly.
The salt permeates the slices of scallop in seconds, so the taste in your mouth is wet, salty...plus a slice of granny smith apple.
Fantastic views, don't forget to book your table near the window unless you waste your money. There is a tasty food especially their duck, expensive a bit. You may see Gherkin from here
Great cocktails, good food and spectacular views :)
Great view. Limited menu but very well made food. Deserts menu was the most disappointing but overall a great experience!
Location - Location -Location is what its all about. Friendly and efficient staff, fabulous views, pricey drinks but you expect that. Worth the visit!
An amazing place with great views. Food is great. Cocktails ate amazing fabulous atmosphere open 24hrs.
They have a high opinion of their experience which frankly they don't deserve
If your a vegetarian you can swap meat item for veggie alternatives but if you want to swap a pouched egg for scrambled egg on a dish that substitution and they don't do that I call it lazy
Good views though
This has to be the dumbest place on earth. They don't let you in unless you have a reservation for dinner at 4am! And I saw inside that most of the tables were empty! Do not go!
Staff at the front door had so much attitude!
Very nice at the 40st floor of the Salesforce Tower. Amazing view over London and very nice staff.
Perfect brunch spot. Nice location with nice view over London. Great concept and tasty. Definitely recommended.
Cannot fault it, view, food and service was all impeccable.
Spectacular view and, nothing food to say.
PRICES a little high, but counting that we are right in the center and, on the 40th floor: FIT.
I was very satisfied!
If you want to go there, it's much better to book!
Incredible view of London. Food is great but it s on the expensive side. Best to visit before dark as the window is very reflective and makes it very hard to take pictures.
Customer service non exsistant and bad attitude towards vegans.
We went to the restaurant with a vegan in our party and made sure we told both the waiter and Maitre d. When asked by our waiter if there is anybody at the table with an allergy, we mentioned veganism and he very sarcastically responded "that's not an allergy". While true it is still rude and not how we were expecting to be treated at a top London restaurant.
After his flippant comment the waiter continued to treat is badly, not knowing what options were vegan, allowing us to order the pasta, even though it wasn't vegan and couldn't be made vegan. He only told us when everyone else was eating their mains. Unfortunately the vegan lentils, presented as a last minute substitute were bland and unappetising, far below the standard of the rest of the food.
To top it all off I contact the restaurant directly via email with my comments and they remain completely unanswered and unacknowledged. An bad end to a disappointing evening.
I have given 2 stars as the rest of the food was of a high standard.
This place has absolutely amazing food. The lamb bread is one of my favourites and the duck and waffle is to die for - so crispy and delicately flavored, balancing with the fattiness of the duck. The view is stunning as well. Highly recommended to go to in London, if you have only one place to go for food and views!!!
Lovely views however as a heads up the lift Is mostly glass so if your hungover and not to keen of heights face the internal corners close your eyes and count to 25 , don't look down or around if you are ok with heights take pity on the person staring at the corner swearing quietly under their breath :)
Came here for 6am breakfast on a Monday. The view was amazing. Duck and Waffle is probably the most reasonably priced skyscraper restaurant in London. It's open 24h. Reservation recommended. Food was delicious.
Incredible views, great food, always seems to be let down by the service, which is a real shame as the chefs work hard here and deserve far better. The signature duck and waffle is a must, but don't overlook the ox cheek donut. And don't forget it's open 24 hours! A much better option to see London on high than The Shard.
Breakfast with breathtaking view! Excellent service and delicious food!
Book in advance; 24/7 Dining on the 43rd? floor of the Heron Tower. Then pop down to Sushi Samba for a cocktail on the Terrace
Very good service, tasty food, nice people, amazing view on London I do recommend and will get back there for sure.
It's hard to know what to expect here: a 24-hour bar and restaurant on the top floor of an office tower. Even on a misty day, the views don't disappoint, and the cocktails are as creative (and creatively presented) as you'll find anywhere. If you don't have a reservation and want to linger over appetizers, aim for the couches in the bar - the bar tables are surely best for a quick drink.
Breathtaking views of the City of London and an interesting "Duck and Waffle" concept.
It's my first time there tonight after watching a west end show as it was highly recommended by friends saying the place is opened 24 hours and food and view is great. However upon arriving at the door the bouncers showed me a rather rude reception and warned me about taking pics and make me show them my bag in a demanding tone whilst I was holding a few things in my hand and they offered no help whatsoever. After clearing the "customs" I went up to the restaurant level and indeed I was stunned by the view. But then as I walked up to the reception passed a sea of people the receptionist told me their kitchen is closed for the next hour. What a shame and waste of my time.
Great view ..lovely food just a little too expensive
Signature dish was very greasy and fatty. Average food. Not impressed for the cost.
First thing first, make sure you make a booking before you go.
And to enjoy the famous duck and waffle.
P.S. You can enjoy sunrise, sunset or night view of London up high on the 40/F.
All I can say is wow. This is finally the food experience I was expecting in London. So much discussion about how London is catching up with other food destinations, but this one really wowed me. The view is spectacular as well, views all More
Great food and service with brilliant views of the city!
Just view is nice, food is average, waitress didn't know about menu, ask her what made with this dish didn't have any clue.order nonalcoholic cocktail don't turn up half hour, after ask second time it came. When try to pay bill, put extra 2glass More
Delicious food and even better view of London from the top of a sky scraper! A must try for anyone in town for the night, just make sure you make reservations in advance. It's like eating on top of the empire State building.
Expensive drinks but great cocktails and GT's with a great view! You can just have drinks or have dinner etc. Make reservations for dinner!
Fantastic views, a little pricey but the food is fantastic. The ride up in the lift is breathtaking.
Their eponymous fish, the duck and waffle, comes with a perfectly cooked poached egg which takes the dish to a level worthy of naming a restaurant for it. Highly recommend finishing dinner with a dessert of chocolate fondant and a glass of port.
I never write reviews. But this one has to be done...
Me and my friends went here last night. Obviously there was a queue, but as we havent been here before we simply strolled upto the front to ask information about 'The Duck and Waffle'. We were then advised to get to the back of the queue and wait 10 minutes, before we could go inside. So fair enough we all queued up. Now bare in mind, we are in 3 couples and all dressed smart. So there is 3 men and 3 ladies. Gorgeous ladies may i say. So after about 10-15 minutes later we reach the front and the same guy we saw at the beginning then says ' we cannot come in and have to go to the otherside of the entrance so we can speak to the doorman and the guestlist supervisor'. Now this is ridiculous as we now know the rules, as no guestlist is required if you queue up. Now long and behold we are now told that we cannot come in because he has spotted one of our friends not standing up straight so therefore he must be drunk. If this was the case then why were we not told this before we wasted our time queuing up? So nothing we can do or say to change this mans mind. As he stands there with a doorman to intimidate us. I forgot to mention that one of my friends has a disability with his hips and finds it difficult to stand up for long periods of time. We didnt want to mention anything at the beginning because we never thought this was a matter for the 'Duck and Waffle'. Because of this i will never come here, some very bad skills in running the front of their business. Because this stems all the way up now to the way they have been trained. Im not writing this to tell people not to go there, but just to say that these places are a big shame to society and need a lot of learning. Very glad we didnt go in there in the end, as we found a wonderful place round the corner.
Great food and even better service and an amazing view
Soooooo good. The duck doughnut is enough to make a whole trip back to London. The cornbread was the perfect combination of sweet and savory we also had the duck and waffle each which was really good just eyes bigger than the stomach
Good location but wasnt too keen on the english breakfast pancake
It was not for me as there was no halal. And my mocktails got mixed up.
This has been the cherry on the top (literally) to my vacation in London, me and my date enjoyed the views and pleasures of this place, and the food was incredible delicious
I mean..what's not to love?
Wonderfully friendly staff & outstanding service. Delicious food, great coffee & incredible view!!!!
Although reservation was made, still spent over 45mins for waiting. Food is average but the service is poor enough. Spent another 15 mins before I could make an order.
Great food, incredible views, delicious cocktails, have been before and will be back. One of my favourite places in London to eat
Great place for the beautiful view and cocktails. Food is delicious but pretty ordinary, nothing to write home about.
The main dish is lovely to try, however I feel the price is a bit much for what you are getting. The bar drinks are pretty special and I would recommend you go for the view and a drink before your meal.
A lovely atmosphere and good food. Slightly weird combination of duck and waffle but I had to try it. Duck was cooked very well and was throughly enjoyed. I wasn t too keen on the waffle. The starter was absolutely delicious leaving me wanting more. Lovely views too and a great place to visit during a special evening.
I don't really remember my dining experience at Duck & Waffle. I guess it's not that great to start with. The view compensated the lack of imagination with the dishes.
Great views over the city - ask for a window table .... my boyfriend surprised me for a breakfast treat. I had the duck egg on waffle - it compliments perfectly. The waiting staff are professional and friendly and can't do enough for you. I highly recommend as a treat!
Really nice place enjoying the view. Tried the duck and waffle for breakfast, it was good but as expected it is abit pricey. Probably should try for the experience.
excellent food and service all round accompanied by unmatched views over london
Good but not many options that are nice on the menu
Definitely worth a visit for the views alone, watching the sun go down and seeing how London transforms at night is beautiful. Drinks are pricy but very good quality and service is on point.
Apart from the bar area, the interiors are less than impressive. The staff is friendly-ish, but surprisingly misogynistically trained, as the waiters would mostly look at my husband for orders and payment (the credit card machine was handed to him, even though I clearly took the card out of my bag) and the waitresses are there merely to deliver your food, but never to take orders.
At lest the food was very nice, and I guess that's ultimately what we went for.
Oh, and when making a reservation (which is an absolute necessity - even to enter the building), ask for a table overlooking the Thames. The views from the other angles are not particularly great.
Called to make a reservation for breakfast and the person I spoke with was very nice. Great views, great food and the service was so nice! Also very good coffee. Easy to find from Liverpool street station too.
