al_gaadel Amazing spot in the city of London. The view, the food, the service were simply fantastic. Posh, yet comfortable atmosphere. Get yourself a table nearby the window and enjoy London at morning from 40th floor .
.
Good food and great views. Not a beer place and quite busy.
One of the best brunch experiences in London. Just hope for a clear day to soak in the views! Can be hard to book so if you know when you want to go in advance, book!
Great place to eat especially after midnight. Try the truffle egg and mushrooms, will not be disappointed
We didn't eat, but hung out at the bar. It's definitely a scene, but views are breathtaking.
The brunch was amazing, the food has luxuriously tasty as ever and the bottomless drinks kept on coming as soon as our drinks were empty
Great view. Friendly staff. Good selection of drinks. But the food is overhyped. Not impressed at all hence 3 stars and not 4.
Amazing views and fantastic food. We went for breakfast this time and it was just as great as dinner. Staff are wonderful and for London the prices are reasonable. Thanks for a lovely breakfast.
Loved this place. The best place to go after an opulent night out. Don't bring anyone drunk tho!
Great views, good food, efficient service and a popular place for brunch. However, table reservations are for 60 minutes only, so you can't linger at your table.
Great location and decent food but way overpriced, even for London and for the location. The signature dish was pretty good though and an exception to everything else we had.
Food was good, however the service was really poor, there was 1 waiter serving water, 1 for drinks and 1 for food, we were already were receiving starters and we hadn't ordered drinks, when calling them and asking questions about the dishes, their response was very poor as if they didnt know what the dishes were about, they would come and we werent ready they'd say they come in a min without letting me ask anything,
Bar staff wefe very friendly but the restaurant was way below expected.
Also, only tables available were after 10pm and yet half restaurant was empty during our entire stay...very dissapoiting.
Breakfast with a view! Great place for breakfast! Definitely worth it
Good if you are sharing, lots of the main courses are for two people. Limited if you are not eating the same thing but there are still other things to try. Great views and staff do get to you quickly although they are pushed to make sure you are out of your tables on time. I could hear all their conversations due to where my table was and we were given our bill without asking for it. So that was a negative.
The view from this place was amazing. I think the food is a little over rated. The food was ok and not amazing. I was turned away for wearing flip flops (classy ones) and so I needed to go to the local TK max to buy shoes before coming back in. It's better to make reservations before you get here to avoid waiting for a table.
Birthday location for my wife, had always intended to go but never found the right time. However managed to book a table on a memorable occasion. Turned up at the door and greeted by a doorman with a clipboard as we had made a reservation. He said happy anniversary even though it was specifically booked and it said birthday on the notes and instructed us to take the lift to the 39th floor which was for sushisamba when I had booked for duck and waffle - 40th floor, walked up a flight of stairs. Clearly wasn't paying attention to his job. Not really a major issue. Shown to our table and as requested a window seat, they didn't disappoint. Was given a nice window dining experience and that's really the best part. The window. Server came to our table and asked if we wanted water for the table, not offering drinks. Took the offer of the water and came back and asked if we wanted drinks. About ten minutes later, server came and took our order, scallops and garlic bread was for starters and missus ordered duck and waffle, I ordered the steak with marrow and snails with fries. Drinks were vodka, Lemonade with lime cordial and a JD and coke. Drinks arrived vodka, Lemonade no lime cordial, just a piece of lime thrown in and no mention that they had run out of cordial until we let the server know. She then came back with a jug of freshly squeezed lime. Food arrived, scallops were nice, well cook and melted in the mouth, however garlic bread was literally a bread with garlic and rosemary, I'll be honest I would have expected a bit of creativity with the garlic bread but nevertheless just ate it. Mains arrived, food was as described on the menu, egg, duck, waffle, steak, marrow, snails, what you see is what you get so don't get too excited. Waffle tasted like a homemade waffle, no flavour and just doughy, duck was a leg fried to almost crisp which tasted like a 1/4 duck from a local Chinese take away, all I was missing was a few pancakes, cucumber and spring onions and I could have made a wrap. The steak was tough to cut into, they went a bit overboard on the grill and tough to cut but the inside was medium/rare as requested. Looked at my plate and the fries was missing, the server didn't even check or ask. Didn't even bother asking for it. All in all the mains were a big disappointment. The one final surprise from the server was that the memo regarding my missus' birthday had reached him and he came out with a birthday surprise. Which was nice. Meal done, dinner paid and as we walked to grab our coats, one of the staff who was clearly not paying attention and messing around with others accidently bumped into my missus and not even an apology until I had to speak out. Just my opinion on the food and experience. Others might have had a better one. If you do go, remember you're paying for the 40th floor view and make sure you get a window otherwise i highly doubt it's worth it.
Came here at 5 in the morning. The food, service and drinks were still as good as in the evening. Very nice to have such a good restaurant open 24/7.
Wowsers. Decor. Views duck and waffle pancakes. Staff. Wowsers
Amazing view on the 40th floor and food was delicious but on the expensive side.
We weren t allowed in on the one occasion I admit to wearing trainers due to the snow. Normally we would have been wearing smarter footwear but clearly the bouncers weren t making allowances for the weather. It has deterred us from returning despite a more than pleasant experience in the past.
Nice staff and food, great view obviously. Feels like a treat but it also has a relaxed vibe.
Impressive view...not so impressed with food. Will try again though, perhaps a selection of small plates rather than plate for table.
This was my first time going to Duck&Waffle. We booked a early morning reservation where we had a good table with a view that was very breathtaking. The breakfast which we ordered was good especially the hash browns and the large mushrooms. The toast was quite hard which could have been softer. Service was also good as the waiting staff were very attentive. It's a shame the duck is not halal. Overall the experience here was worth it and I will definitely be coming back again.
Popular with the tourists, nice view but the food is overrated.
Perfect blend of British and European food. Lovely duck and waffle dish with mustard maple syrup
Amazing food with an amazing view.
Recommend to anyone, except those with vertigo
Stunning views from the top. Went for breakfast and can only wish the food and service was as good as the view.
Spectacular. The view at night is absolutely stunning, food was very delicious and drinks at the bar really great too.The staff were very friendly and kind and always made sure we were happy with everything. The prices very affordable. I will definitely come back soon.
They fall into the trap of not needing to try very hard as their location will always attract custom. If you want a good view then fine, but don't expect to be impressed by rude staff and mediocre food.
Food was a 4 but service was a 2. Ordered the duck and waffle which tasted amazing but the service was pretty awful and the waitress was quite rude and we were seated 20 minutes after our reservation.
Ended up here as part of a business presentation so got to eat their signature dish. I have to say that duck meat and waffles with syrup just aren't a good taste combination. Nigel Slater would wince. Views are stupendous, of course; the bar is well stocked albeit cramped.
Is it worth the price? No. The signature dish is 'marmite' and I fell on the side of 'hate'.
I took a plane from Gibraltar to London for 3 hours, and then another 1 hour in car from Gatwick to this FAMOUS Restaurant that my friend recommended me. I arrived at 11pm at Duck&Waffle without reservation because I checked from google LIVE that is NOT that busy at the Resto (dinner). When I talked with the guard at receptionist on the ground floor, he said that I need to wait 2 hours for the table. So, I said that we will go for drink at the bar and wait for the dinner. The staff agreed for it, and then another guard checked our luggage. We had an opened bottle of liquor with us and this become the reason he didn't let us in. We were told to come tomorrow even though we want to leave our liquor outside. I really couldn't understand why would they refuse customers from going in the restaurant at NON BUSY HOUR. Don't know if it is because we are Asian or something? I knew that I didn't have a reservation but still I couldn't figure out why they don't let us in at non busy hour even though we can wait. (We are not drunk at that time and the opened liquor was like 95% left, so I don't think they refuse us to enter because we are drunk)
It would be great to see this place if only they didn't impose a random no shorts policy despite being well dressed. Anyway, besides not wearing a top hat I'm probably not good enough for this pretentious place. There are better things to do with one's life than waste it with stupid and irrelevant bouncers.
The wild mushroom toast is absolutely wonderful. Will definitely go back to taste some of the other dishes.
Duck & Waffle is located on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower, and is open daily from 6am until 5am (literally 23 hours a day). We ordered their most famous brunch menu, Duck & Waffle, which was absolutely amazing. For their spectacular More
Amazing ... scary waffles ... very good burger in the center .. just around picadilly. A beautiful place with open kitchen. A reasonable price in London.
Of course it is better to order a savory dish to share and then a sweet one to share, the portions are large.
Pretty good craft beers a little expensive, but good.
The Estrella dish is a waffle (waffle) with a fried duck confit and a duck egg.
Incredible venue, amazing food, especially the bacon wrapped dates
This is a very popular restaurant in London & advance booking is definitely advisable. However, I supposed the popularity was due to the panoramic views of London from high floors rather than for their food. We ordered 3 small plates of which grilled corns were good with sweet & sour BBQ sauce, pig ears were ok & very crunchy but could be too hard to chew, foie gras crime boules was ok but no thrill. Lamb chops were fine. The most popular dish of duck confit & waffle was again quite average. After all, prices were relatively more expensive here than restaurants of similar standards.
Food is sooo good but if you are vegetarian don't go here. There is no option.
If I gonna manage another trip to London, it will be the first place to go. I had an amazing dining here. Love the Duck waffle so much!
Must make reservations. It's open 24 hours so we thought if we went at 5am it should be alright. But reservations are a must.
We had an 18th birthday party the table was not big enough for our party . The staff were unattentive the food was a non event there wasn t enough of it and it was badly presented, we had a taster menu , the bread turned up to the table uncooked and the signature dish duck and waffle ,the egg was over cooked.Very very poor
Regular here and whilst waiting is amazing and treatment is second to none, food in my personal opinion varies so much in quality between lunch (okay) to late night menu which hosts a much more interesting and fulfilling plate.
Marco was amazing made sure we felt welcomed. The view is worth the long wait as the food took almost an hour.
Nice appetizers. Great variety. Good to share. Delicious duck & waffle.
Incredible customer service. I lost a very sentimental and fairly expensive piece of jewellery here on a recent visit. Not only did the staff spend time looking for it with me at the end of the night (to no avail) but the next day I got a call from one of the security guards, Jacob, who had found it and even offered to post it to me if I was not able to collect it. It meant so much to me that they did not just disregard it when they found it and that they even carried on looking for it at all. Thank you so much!
The view is unmatched, food quality is superb for a surprisingly not too high price.
I strongly recommend to visit at night where the view is at its best.
The rabbit and the duck and waffle are delicious.
Lovely valentine's experience, lovely staff, romantic viewing, but what happened to the food??
Food was excellent but very disappointed with the customer service in the dining area. Low standard waiting staff apart from reception and bar area.
Great view and food but make sure to book a table or you will wait a while.
Not bad! Came here yesterday for a business lunch and got a seat right next to the window, so we got to enjoy the great views from the top. The beef tartare, spinach ravioli and the spiced duck doughnut were my favourite dishes, but their signature duck & waffle didn t really live up to my expectations. As mentioned in other reviews, the egg was rubbery and the duck and waffle were a bit dry. The place is definitely worth a visit, but some of the dishes need to be improved.
Super fortunate to be able to make last minute reservations at the duck and waffle. Definitely have to make reservations or really try your luck on the day itself. Had a strong craving for their duck egg en cocotte-which I still like very much up till today.
Truffle cheese mushroom and whatever soldier was, made me feel like I'm ready for war. Not really.. but nonetheless yummy.
Didn't feel quite like a royal after having the salmon egg royale. The waffle has a firm consistency which I really like in my waffles. Holladaise sauce was just right, not too lemony nor buttery.
What not to order at the duck and waffle, but the duck and waffle? Though it was just duck and waffle. Crispy duck and similar waffle with the royale. Thoughts? Mmmm meh.
Pig ears came pretty late, just in time to fill our ears/tummy I meant. They just forgot our order it's not something that they do serving snacks on the menu late. Took that as a savory dessert, enjoy while hot!
Happened to be there on the day where it was snowing so heavily. Unfortunately the view was not amazing but I have been there on days where it looks nothing but gorgeous.
Been there for breakfast, had the signature dish duck and waffle, and it was very delicious! Also the view is stunning on a clear day!
Didn't actually get in on two attempts, dress code and reservations required, pretty much only place we found like that
Stunning views, busy atmosphere - not the place to go for intimate chats but great for groups. Very accommodating to allergies.
Highly recommend for any couples .. the place on a high floor and that s able you to see London
Don t miss there caramelized waffle
Amazing views of London. The combination of duck and waffle here was one of the best I've had around the world. Unfortunately, service staff seemed lacklustre but maybe because I had my meal at 6am.
Utter perfection in every way. A wonderfully faultless dining experience.
Awful service. Prior to booking called up with at 12:30 a lot arrived and was told the booking was for the following day. The reception lady responded with maybe read your booking beforehand to which in fact stated the correct booking time and day. Was then pushed to the bar to wait for a table for an hour whilst the lady on reception continued to be unhelpful and give nasty looks. Absolutely ridiculous service. Ruined my friends birthday surprise.
Amazing place to celebrate Christmas! Went there early in the morning and enjoyed the view and food.

Great location and you make something out of it.
Delicious breakfast that came with one of the best Cappucino I've had in London. Will be returning again, for sure !
Classy place for lunch or dinner. Nice view from the restaurant of London city. After food drinks can be had on the same level right outside the restaurant. Better to make a reservation for window seats if you are there primarily for the view. Nice food especially their signature duck and waffle.
Top view and good cuisine but the high volume of the music clashes with the place ... disturbs the atmosphere and forces guests to scream to understand each other. It could improve so much if there was a softer background from 7 to 11 pm. Very little
Mediocre cuisine, haughty and unpleasant service! An addition to more than 300 euros for two people (I did not take a bottle of wine)!
I highly recommend this restaurant without soul! The only benefit of this restaurant is the view but unfortunately you will have very little chance of getting a table near the windows!
Go your way!

The view and atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing. The food is good and not too badly priced given the location/ view. Must book in advance. Definitely take your tourist friends and family here, they will remember the experience!!
Nice interior and terrace. Great view. Lovely food and drinks.
Towering above the London skyline (and even the Gherkin) in Heron Tower is D&W. Contemporary decor and wall to wall windows, this is the place for breakfast with a view.
If you're hungry, the English breakfast is for you (no, it's not your average fry-up). Or try the foie gras 'all day' for an extra special treat.
If you're brave, the pig's ears were definitely something 'new' and if not, go for their signature dish.
Food, good. Service, good. Ambiance, good. Overall, good! Would happily go back.
Thank you Duck & Waffle for a lovely anniversary celebration!! Can t wait to go back.
Incredible value for money. Spectacular views and great food. Get the duck and waffle :)
Absolutely disgusting service.. they had a leak which ofcourse can not be planned. However the door man (who refused to give his name) and manager Parmin manager where completely rude not understanding went for a birthday and a elderly person however no consideration. Was told there was no other way into the building however there was because the let customer with reservation through. I explained that i called a few days before and was told i would not need to make a resevation. Then they said if i made a online reservation would be fine. However although inshowed a confirmation email was told they would not able to take us up. Disgusting service completely ruined my day.
Stunning views and fantastically diligent staff. Food was incredible with the exception of, ironically, the duck and waffle. Duck was dry and waffle was somehow tough. Tasted better with the sauce provided but slightly underwhelming. Every other item was 10/10.
