Oh my god, seriously this place is absolutely stunning. We came here at around 6:30 am for breakfast seeing as we booked maybe only a few weeks prior. We had the duck and waffle and the Elvis waffle, I kid you not, this was the best breakfast of our lives, also the view is absolutely stunning.

Excellent service, view, food and atmo. It is not a 5 cause despite booking more than a month in advance for a Friday night, they made us wait at the bar lounge before the rest for a good 20mins. I recommend the polenta starter and the rabbit from the dinner menu. Wines are very good and an Italian sommelier explains you the best match with you selected dish. Staff is kind and quick.
I couldn't understand the hype so I had to try it for myself, and wow I completely get why tables are gone months in advance! The small space makes for a very cosy, intimate atmosphere 42 floors above the chaotic city of London, and the service top-notch- I was celebrating my birthday and was pleasantly surprised by a brownie dessert, candles and all. The duck was genuinely one of the best I've had- rivaling that of Saveur's in Singapore (and those queues certainly trail out the door!) Do your stomach a favour and book a table (by the window!!!) as soon as possible
Rude and pretentious from the front door. Look you up and down, turn you away if you're not wearing smart shoes. The very reason that normal people find the City intimidating. Living in the wrong era for a predominantly young person's bar/restaurant if you're turning people away based on casual attire. And just so rude.
It s become complacent and dines out on its location. Food is good quality but service does not match the price tag. It isn t bad but just doesn t have those extra details you would expect, especially as a lot of people come here as a treat. Toilets also need more checks.
As per the description of the restaurant. This is dining with a view. Best book in advance so you won't be disappointed. Perfect time slot would be to get there when there is still light and finish off after sunset. When booking, request for a window seat. I did this and got the best table in the room!
Dinner menu was inventive. Not spectacular which is why no 5 stars from me but food was definitely tasty and worth the visit. Most go for the duck and waffle..I would agree it's a must try. The tuna starter (served on a block of Himalayan pink salt) was also very good.
Ox cheek doughnut was a bit too doughy. We also sampled the lamb breast, rib rye, bomb Alaska and salted caramel choux. Tasty but did not stand out.
Service was impeccable. Drinks were constantly topped up despite a full seating and staff were very accommodating. Always served with a smile as well which is important.
Summary... pricey for the food but worth the visit still. Great views, excellent service, and good food.
Such arrogance by the door men here. Rude to the people waiting in line. The pretentiousness is palatable. Policy while in line is more like a club with some waiting and some skipping ahead. Avoid this joke of an establishment.
Looking for a restaurant for a special occasion than Duck & Waffle is the place for you. Nestled on the 40th Floor the views are unobstructed and amazing. The menu whilst limited is tasty and freshly cooked. There is a good drinks selection. Its not cheap to dine here but with such a view it's to be expected. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant and it's also close to Liverpool Street station for the trains and tube.
Weird - our server left in the middle of the shift. Legit just disappeared. We were left stranded for 20 minutes but the leadership team stepped in and helped take over. Covered a dessert too.
Duck - 8/10 - crispy Fries - 7/10 - well done Crispy pig ears - 10/10 - crunchy and spicy Octopus - 10/10 - probably the best flavor I ve had Bread - 10/10 - extremely big and well cooked Lobster roll - 5/10 - very little meat and the bread wasn t flavorful. Had better elsewhere
Overall, perfect vibe given the beautiful view. They stepped up for the flop. Would visit again.
The most terrible experience here. We knew the window seat must be very popular, so we asked the waiter if we could move to the table by window as soon as the customer there finished their meal and left. Then he said yes and told us to wait a moment after he cleaned that table then we could change. However, after a long time waiting, we wondered about the window seat was available or not, we asked the manager, who ignored our request and yelled at us because we would like to move to the vacant seat with window view or just because we are Asian? (The had already engineer many other customer moved seats to window seat before.) Such a well known restaurant in London but the manager is a racist? Very unbelievable. (We appreciate the first waiter who promised us that we can move seats and did a good favor for us in the beginning.) So, who wants to visit here especially if you are Asian or other color of skin except for white just be careful. Because duck and waffle are London's famous landscape restaurants and attracted me and my friends to come here to eat, we were arranged in the middle area at the beginning, we also know that the seats at the window are very popular, when we see the seats at the window are used to leave the meal After that, we immediately asked the waiter if they could change. He asked us after the position and agreed to let us wait for him to finish the table and we can change the position. But after waiting for a long time, no one came to help us change the position, the dishes started, so we asked the suit to look like a manager or a supervisor, he ignored the inquiry and hurriedly left, then the original service finally Appeared to help us change positions, but just after we changed positions, the manager came over and yelled at us: "Why are you changing your position here?" I replied: "There is a waiter who helped us change places here." He went back and said, "Who?" I said, "I don't remember his name, but he is short hair... (begin to describe his appearance)." He began to smash: "Who said that you can change... then let's sit down! Sit down!" (command statement with gestures) It s really dumbfound right now, thinking that we can t understand English? I immediately returned to him: "Wow, what is your attitude? We are the seat of your waiter. What is your problem?" Then he didn't go back without looking back. It was just bullying the Asians. Later, the waiter who helped us change positions at the beginning came to apologize to us. Before we changed positions, we also saw that they helped a lot of guests who wanted to sit by the window. The majority of the guests were white, and the waiters were very good. I don t know why we want to change seats but have three reminders. , still to be roared? Please take care of the racial discrimination here and protect yourself. I heard that the British are gentlemen? But some people are really the exception. Also, the food is really ordinary, and the duck meat muffins are also succulent and dry. It is conceivable that most of the guests are coming for the landscape.
Won in London must visit! Must visit! Must visit! Baked tender duck legs with muffins, topped with syrup, and a pot of Japanese green tea, perfect! (I thought about drooling again)
Breakfast with a stunning view! A special place for special occasions in my opinion. Expect to pay higher prices for the experience when you decide to go here. We didn t book in advance so we had to wait a little bit before being seated. Too bad we didn t get window seats, but all the same the view from our seats was absolutely splendid. Recommend making reservations.
How to impress a date? .... lesson 1 .... book a table at Duck & Waffle... the vues from the 39th floor are breathtaking. If you cant have a table near a window the staff will facilitate your move if you want to change table once guests have departed. The service is spotless, very attentive and courteous without being intrusive. The food.... what to say... i'm French and it was the BEST steak tartare I ever had. Knife cut, fresh and delicate meat with the perfect seasoning. I had to try the Duck & Waffle main, after all it's the restaurant's name! It did not disappoint... light, smooth and airy waffle while the duck was just outstanding! The bottle of wine pictured is dead good value for money and is delicious. 82 gbp is not cheap but to share with friends or to impress that date without ruining your budget is the best value on the wine list. Will be back!
This shop is not good at the little red book fire. I mainly listen to Elaine before coming to London to eat in the early morning, thinking that I must pull the grass! This time, I can only get to 6:6 in the morning to get Brunch or breakfast, because the muffins look really good.
I had a lunch with Yajing at 2:30 in the afternoon, and there were quite a lot of people, and it was very good in London that day. At the top, there was still a feeling of "listing small mountains" at the top.
Foie Gras Brulee This is a little bit of caramel pudding with bread, but his pudding seems to have the taste of duck meat. The salty taste is more than the sweetness of caramel. The bread is soft and the surface is like a lemon!
Duck&Waffle This sign must be eaten. I personally think that the amount of duck meat is very large, and the waffles are mixed with the egg liquid, which is very fresh and very clean.
Lamb Shanks This leg of the leg is really very powerful. The bottom is like the taste of the radish. Then the soup has a touch of sweetness. The leg of the lamb is very tender. I don't really like the lamb.
The general meal time is between one and a half hours to two hours, but it is still very fast after eating! I recommend everyone to brush the official website to find a time to eat and see! When the weather is very good, it is still beautiful!
Great view, great bar snacks(smoked eal and bacon wrapped dates) and a great way to serve a duck &stormy. To bad that I was not able to get a seat in the restaurant but I came bye without a reservation so totally my bad.
This restaurant made me feel very disappointed as we went for my partner's birthday. I don't even know where to start, the only nice this are the views. The place is nothing special, the decoration is average, I was expecting something more sophisticated, since is the highest restaurant in the city, the bathrooms were dirty and not very well decorated. The food is also very disappointing. And the special plate (duck and waffle) is tiny and tasteless. The staff is average, the ladies in the cloakroom were very rude when we left. If you wanna go to a nice restaurant with views, I'll suggest you go tu sushi samba which is right below and it is much better and worth the price.
Seriously overpriced and 13.5% service charge! Disappointed with the duck - hardly any meat on the bone. Rest of the food okay but definitely not worth what you pay unfortunately. Service very average and certainly not worthy of a 13.5% service charge. Our waiter didn't seem at all interested in his job and didn't ask if everything was okay during the meal or whether we would like more drinks. Would not return.
Beside the view there is nothing to write about this restaurant. Despite making a booking and arriving 5 minutes early, they made you wait 40 minutes in the bar before letting you in to your table. On entering you would expect all the tables to be occupied hence the wait at the bar but half the restaurant was empty. Once seated you are left on your own until you catch the eyes of a staff to place the order. It's not an italian restaurant but a lot of the staff are italian and and they are not known to be welcoming. Service is erratic and the food is average and not worth half the price being charged. Because people go there for the view and i'm convince that If this restaurant was on the ground floor it wouldn't survive.
This is more like a 'Instagram made me do it' type of situation. Food is alright. Duck and waffle is rather delightful. Service is okay. Staffs are rushing us a bit, which I understand since they are quite busy as the moment. The problem is a manager who deals with our bill at last. He literally rolled his eyes when my friend told him we were going to split our bills! And did it again when we were trying to figure out who paid how much! I guess he is really in a hurry and just can't wait for us to leave and give our table to next customers.
The views from this restaurant (40 floors up) are pretty great at any point of the day, but at night you can really see the lights of London in a neat way. The room was a bit narrow but does span the whole building. The front room (off the elevator) has a number of hanging jewels to set the scene, where bartenders hand out drinks (including beers in paper bags). The main dish is the Duck & Waffle, and it does not disappoint, so be sure to order it! Fantastic meal of not-your-regular menu items; we ordered the crispy pig ears and didn't realize they looked like french fries with a bacon taste (#winning). Great meal overall, trendy and cool restaurant for sure.
Great good in a great setting. The duck and waffle is amazing, especially paired with the hojicha. The view is amazing. The one issue is that the plates are not exactly stable, they have a narrow base and will wobble if you put force on the wrong part. It makes eating a bit precosious.
This is one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had in my life. The horrible experience began when I first arrived on that day. Five of us arrived sharp at 2:30pm for our late lunch booking. I was holding the function sheet that time and told the manager that I had made a 10pax reservation. The first sentence he told me was that Why you took my function sheet? You are not allow to do that. I told him This is mine. I print it out and bring it all the way from HK and he said No you took my function sheet. It was in the reception area I replied: This is the function sheet I signed with original signature. You will not have it cause I scan it & email back to you, so yours should be a copy not the original one. He went back to the reception area and found his own function sheet. I was totally shock a manager talk to me by assuming that I took something out from him .. He also told me that the split bill was too complicated for them to deal with, so they only accept one final bill for payment. I told myself since this is my graduation day, I don t want to make any argument, so I told him its ok, I will do it by myself.
I asked the manager if the pre order drinks are ready, as we may want to change cold drinks instead of hot one. He said Absolutely. You can put all your pre order drinks to after dessert drinks. And you order another drink for your starter . I replied: Do you understand what I was trying to say? I want to cancel all the pre order hot drinks and change it to cold drinks. We will only take one drinks but not two. He wasn t happy about what I just said.
The final bill payment is also the most interesting part. Our final bill was like 58x after deduct 200 total of our deposit. My classmate counted a total of 600, and we were waiting for changes. One waiter came to me and said Miss I don t think you need change right? and I was like Yes I need change that waiter doesn t look happy and leave down the tray with 3 dollars in. I was like: Isn t it 580 sth and we pay 600, it should be 1x dollars? How come only 3 is back? I asked the manager to come over and told him what happen. He didn t even go back to check and said It must be your calculation wrong. I was shock. How come you make assumption again without checking it? I asked my classmate if he made a right counting of 600, as I also worry it may really be our side that went wrong. My classmate said he count twice and I trust him. I calm myself down and my classmates also said those 1x dollars just let it go. So I ignore it. After 10 minutes, the manager came back to me and said Oh it was our mistake, we returned you 10. My colleague thought that you would like to give them tips. I make no sense cause that waiter should put down the tray with 1x dollars, and I am the one who determine how much tips I should leave it down . Unbelievable service!
Our function sheet is clearly stated that our lunch booking is from 2:30pm to 5pm. We finished our lunch at around 4:30pm and we walked around the restaurant to take photos. Some of my male classmates were sitting there enjoying the view. When we came back to the table around 4:50pm, my classmate told me that their staff has been pushing us out of the restaurant more than 4 times. I can t imagine a fine dine experience can be like this with such kind of horrible services.
Overall, their food is good and their view is stunning, but because of what their staff had done to me, I really lost my appetize for the whole lunch. I can t imagine with the amount of price I paid for lunch, in return of exchange such kind of customer service. If you don t care about customer services, and only focus on food and view, please feel free to do so. I honestly will never go back and will not recommend to anyone.
We went there for a few drinks. The views are absolutely amazing, no question about it. But the atmosphere was somewhat lacking. The lift seemed to spew endless streams of tourists. As a result. The 2 available female toilets were extremely dirty. No loo roll. Smelling. We didn t eat there and went somewhere else.
More of an experience than the actual food. Food is good, and expensive; the whole event of dinner is more of what it is all about. You must book/reserve before going or else you will be in trouble. The elevator up is amazing and the actual restaurant is great. Service is good and food is small.
We have visited at least seven on eight times and each time the food has not let us down - each dish is masterfully prepared and a delight for the taste buds. Rather than heading straight for the titular dish I would suggest the following instead - 1. The granola salad 2.the lobster creme Brulee 3. The ox cheek doughnut and 3. The steak served in bone sauce.
service has always been delightful apart from the one manager who sternly said "you lose your table" when we were 15 minutes late for our reservation -oddly enough her staff showed us to a table anyway.
Stunning views from the cocktail bar - on busy nights you may have to wait around here even with a reservation but the night views of the city will certainly make up for the wait.
Nice food, nice atmosphere and obviously nice view! The signature dish was tasty but there are other gems on the menu. Particularly liked the yoghurt with real honeycomb!
Fantastic location with stunning views across the capital and great service as you would expect. The actual Duck & Waffle signature dish is fantastic value and highly recommended. As for the wine.... OTT prices with a seemingly massive mark up, all outweighed by the overall experience
The food was amazing! The staff serving brunch and at the bar this morning were less than desirable. They did not seem to care and were incredibly casual conaidering it is such a highly relatable venue.
Amazing food, brilliant views, best customer service I have had in a very very long time... You have to book way in advance... But please do try, treat yourselves or buy a friend a gift voucher....
The place was brilliant, the service, the staff, the people. It was a relaxing environment, great from with family and friends, also couples. The food menu is very good.
Style over substance made for a disappointing meal, with prices that surely can't be justified for the average food and the poor service.
Excited for our first duck and waffle experience (given the lengthy waiting/booking period) my girlfriend and I finally made it there. The setting is undeniably impressive being on the 40th floor, and we were lucky with the weather to be greeted with sweeping views over London.
Really love the atmosphere here but I feel the menu hasn't been the greatest recently. One thing i especially don't like is that when I go after 11.30pm (when they switch to the late night menu), me and my wife get constantly pestered and reminded that there is a minimum spend and that I must order a main and a dessert. Which I am totally fine with but what i noticed is that, a couple being sat next to me (white couple) didn't get reminded once. I won't let that taint the reputation of the whole company, could of been just that particular member of staff who was discriminating.
Do not have the English breakfast. A very disappointing experience for a meal that even I can cook. The bacon is poor, black pudding dry and toast, if it comes, is stone cold. Miserable.
Literally could not fault this place. From the cocktails to the small dishes to the main event - Duck and Waffle. Excellent service and attentiveness from staff. Was not sure I would like the Duck and Waffle combo (meat with sweet sauce...) but encourage everyone to try and not miss out on the other dishes on offer.
Great for a date night. Food isn't as pricey as expected. Must try the Duck & Waffle if you're a meat eater! Try an get a table near the window for an unrestricted view. The bar area does give you the best view for some snaps!
Poor service, decent food. View is good if you have the luck of getting a good table. After arriving to the booked timeslot(you have to book weeks in advance) we waited for 10 minutes to be seated to half empty restaurant which makes the wait totally unexplicable. Also they charge that poor service 13.5% in the end which leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
A great place for a special occasion. The elevator is quick and the view is stunning. It s a tad confusing to figure out where you are going at first. The duck and waffle is a fun twist on a classic dish, the mustard syrup is a fun surprise. The price is a little high but worth it for a first timer. That being said I don t think I would come back unless bringing someone new to the city.
Open 24 hours!!!! With the most crazy dish - ducks and waffles! And the best part is the lift! It's like a ride! So much fun going up or down from and to the restaurant!!
Food was mediocre for their price. Customer service was not satisfying as i was ignored and had to call them a few times despite eye contact w the waiter and waitresses. View is amazing only if ur at the right seat and not put at the hallway
