not cheap, and frankly the weather was rather foggy on the day, but breakfast was lush.
duck served on a waffle shouldn't work!

Great views of London, intimate ambiance and interesting menu of playful, delectable dishes. Recommended.Try the duck and waffle if you go..
A bit overpriced but the food was very good and so was the service
Love it although I never thought I would eat duck with waffle before.
maybe good in the evening, but I had cold duck and cold waffle at midnight last visit. Disappointed
Really good views and above average food.
But the ambiance was really not all that good, I think the management relies on the beautiful view of the surroundings and dizzying heights.
But for a place that is considered fine dine the hardwood floor is stained around where the waiters go to the till. The beams are only dusted about half way up. You still have to call a waiter quite intently for the bill. And all these little details that are so far from fine-dine.
It's still a great experience, but for the cost you could expect a little bit more.
You have to try the Duck & Waffle. Don t let some other photos deceive you, the portions are a very good size. Views outstanding. Make sure you book! If early morning, sit on the left of the restaurant or the sun glare is hectic.
Great food and restraint name loved the atmosphere and would definitely recommend. People had great service and food was rapidly at your table. The humble tweet of the manager from the staff kitchen was all that could be heard in the restraint of serinity. Order the wopper burger as it is cheap and tastes really good. The decor was great and looks very attractive. If I could go back I would but as I live in america it is rather hard to find my way back across the border and with trumps current domain it may become even harder for amazing people like me to travel to eat wopper burgers. I hope you enjoyed my muscularly structured paragraph. it was thoroughly enjoyable and pleasurable to write. Good ridance middle class felows. I wish you a labour of love and NO FOOD POISONING!!! Lovely people
The button in the glass elevator said 40th floor but that sells short this delicious slice of heaven. The food, view, and service from attentive professionals like Christian B. make this a must visit London landmark.
Restaurant with great view. Waffle with roast duck also tastes nice
Wow . wonderful staff , beautiful food and the little brownie for my mum's birthday was a lovely touch.
The setting and the view from the restaurant were outstanding! Truely world class. If you can, try to get a table by the window, improves the whole experience. However I was expecting more from the food, with this being quite an expensive high class restaurant I would have liked to of seen a few more items on the menu, and more individual dishes to choose from, rather than sharers.
Fab views! Good value, expecting a much bigger bill than the one that turned up! Great service & fantastic atmosphere. Thanks
Very good service and lovely atmosphere, amazing views. Pity is a bit expensive for what you get. But a late night meal with that view, I guess it has to come up to that.
Expensive but good views and scenery - lucky it was B'day outing
Went here for breakfast and I ve got to say the views are breathtaking. The lift up is fast, so not for the faint hearted! We had the duck&waffle and a full breakfast. Very unique and tasty! The tea that came with the duck&waffle is lovely!! Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Very nice location with an amazing view but you have to return the table with 1.5h so we where told we cannot order dessert which made for a very unsatisfying dining experience.
Lovely valentina eve
#bbq pigs ears #duckandwaffle
Couldnt recommend this place more. Great food, great service, great view.
Delicious food, amazing views, very tasty and unique cocktails - highly recommend - foie gras creme brulee was a particular stand out dish
The view is amazing. Much better in the day, best at sunset. (For sun-rise, the window may be foggy during winter.) The signature duck and waffle is really good too. Price is reasonably affordable too.
Amazing place for a food anytime of the day. I do have a feeling that the waffles are bigger in the breakfast menu, but I might be wrong. A must visit place if you are in London
nice environment with stunning view from top of London . Food here is just regular , not meet its reputation nor my expectation
Beautiful views, good service, good signature dish (duck and waffle )
You only go there for the view. Most of the time is best seats are occupied. Cocktails 14 pounds. nope!
Great view, super polite and kind staff! That was lovely. Although the food was really not that amazing... it was average for me. I don't think this kind of restaurant can afford to serve an average meal, hence 3 stars.
Great food and views. Several staff were rude and inefficient. Sad to experience rude waiters in such a great restaurant.
Fabulous location, friendly staff, good food and cocktails.
Great food and drinks. Beautiful view of East London.
Pleasantly surprised. Had a great experience when visiting for a small event in the private dining area.
Of course the views are brilliant, and you don't have to expect staff to be snobby or the venue to be too fancy for its own good... staff were polite and the food is incredible!
I like how they have a bit of fun with themselves; pigs ears served in brown bags and there's graffiti on the walls (probably designer!)
Recommended for the food, height and cocktails!
Premising that you have to book well in advance, the place is very nice and away from the chaos of London. With 360 degree windows you can admire London in all its splendor. The staff is very friendly and active in recommending the dishes. As prices I would say economic compared to the average London (In two eating in a fast food we have spent 22 pounds) here in four have spent 30 pounds per head coming out full.
Sonz'ombra of doubt to try if you go to London.
Great brunch spot, recommend the duck egg en cocotte and the torrejas
Food is quite good but not amazing if consider the price. The best point of this restaurant is the night view which can only thoroughly given for customers seated besides the glass wall.
reservation required !! beautiful location, a bit unfair with door policy other people with sneakers cant get in, but others can. ?????
Good service !
'Eat food you would never cook at home' is normally my thinking. I had the duck, waffle, fried egg, and maple syrup signature dish. Omg. Umami savoury sweet whatever. So simple, so easy to make at home. Bring on the gout from the comfort of your own home.
The dates wrapped in bacon were a big hit, mmmmm mmmm, mmm.
Also, genuinely surprised how quick the lift was. Reminded me of Arnie on the police horse in true lies.
Good experience, Nice view, service, Duck and Waffle is yummy.
Went at 7am to see sunrise & wasn t let down. Highly recommend!
Went there in the middle of the night when they have a smaller menu. Food was good, service was rather hurried. Drinks are expensive but nice.
Very affordable classy restaurant. The views are amazing. It's really good for groups or a date. Their best meal is the sea bass for 2 and you must try the pig ears for starters. Note that portions may not get you full unless you do a full 3 course.
Disappointed.
Amazed by the food, the view and the atmosphere 3 years ago, I decided to come back to Duck & Waffle for a family dinner. We booked a table at 9pm last Saturday and even if we arrived 5 mins late, we still had to wait at least 20 mins for our table at the bar where the music was so loud we could barely hear each other talk.
We then got one of the best tables with a fantastic view on the whole city. Then, we could not figure out if the "small plates" were starters or tapas to share and neither could the waiter. It was also hard to have a proper dinner as were getting the meals one by one and by the time I received my rib-eye my side dish was cold.
All in all, we were amazed by the view, and the waiter was very kind and professional however receiving the meals one by one really limited our experience. The food was OK however the duck & waffle was a lot more delicious in my memories. Not sure if I will ever come back...
Third visit and quite disappointing. Unbeatable location but needs a menu revamp to stay relevant.
Good food good views I recommend the ravioli, it was delicious but the signature dish duck and waffle wasn't all that. Shame you have to book around 2 months in advance and unfortunate that we still had to wait 10 mins for our table when we were on time.
All the food that we ordered was amazing. We didnt have to wait a long time for the food to come. The staffs were really friendly and the view was extremely pretty. This reataurant only has a limited amount of tables and it s always full. I would recommend to come during the sunset.
The view was spectacular, but I couldn't enjoy the restaurant
Nice Location with a wonderful view over Londoncity. Tasty Drinks and kindly Service.
Too expansive. The dinner doesn't deserve such high prices. Go there for a drink only to enjoy the vue.
Really good - expensive, but the view is so worth it. Really delicious waffles, but most dishes you only get half a waffle, which is pretty expensive but they are really good.
Go for the view!
The food is good but not incredible, the service a bit hit and miss, but the view is spectacular and always worth the trip!
Awesome!!!!!! Although a bit expensive for the size of the plates....
Had a fantastic setting for a 0630 breakfast here. Easy to get up. One glass lift to the 40th floor from ground floor. No fuss, no security scans.
Had the duck and waffle. That was a disappointment for the simple reason nothing felt like it was prepared freshly. The duck leg was a tad dry. The egg white felt rubbery and the waffle though fine, didn't feel freshly made. Even the freshly squeezed orange juice tastes like it wasn't freshly squeezed. I wouldn't mind but don't call it freshly squeezed juice on the menu.
Service was warm and welcoming. I would try here again for dinner but perhaps a different breakfast choice would be less disappointing.
You will need a reservation to get in (get one at least a week out). Gorgeous view of the city.
Great views. Tasty food, although it's a bit gimmicky. I thought it was weird that they couldn't make an egg over medium instead of over easy.
Superb views, good food, expensive drinks, mixed service. Getting a reservation at D&W proved difficult but when the 2 month wait was over, despite high expectations, I had a mixed experience. One bartender told us off for moving seats - despite being told it was free seating and before we'd ordered anything. Despite that, the rest of the service was good, the food tasty and the views great. Drinks are on the pricey side but nothing unexpected. Not sure I'd return but glad to have experienced it. A highlight for me was the elevator up, zooming at 5m/s.
Super disappointing. Come for the view not for the food.
Rude front of house staff who spent 10 minutes having an argument at the front till, ignoring a queue of people waiting to be seated... no apology or explanation as to why we weren t being acknowledged or seated. It was pretty ridiculous.
After finally getting sat down, the table we were sat on was a bit dirty and hadn t been cleaned properly. Our waiters were all delightful but the food was average at best and insanely overpriced. For those prices you expect better quality.
Will never return.
There are MUCH MUCH MUCH better and cheaper restaurants in East London.
People come here for the view, not the food or the service.
very good experience.. especially the pig ears and the ducks and waffles
Overall a good experience, the duck is absolutely beautiful and the all round breakfast doesn t disappoint. I do feel like you are paying a premium for the view and there are better breakfast places out there. If you re a tourist it s a great spot and well worth a visit, but it does feel a little like a one trick pony. I don t know how many times I would visit after being once.
We were looking forward to an amazing view and breakfast before we left the UK. How very disappointed we were from the moment we arrived. Upon arrival, we were met by an unfriendly staff at the front desk who emphasised more times than necessary that as we had not made a reservation, we could only have the table for an hour and that a window seat was not available. Food was average at best. However, the most disappointing and confusing part came when paying the bill. Our bill was a few pounds over $40 which included the discretionary 12.5% service fee. To make it easier for ourselves we thought we could pay $40 cash with the balance as the tip, rather than the full service fee, after all the service was quite poor. When communicating this to the service staff he had trouble understanding our thoughts and advised me that he would need to speak to his manager about why we did not want to pay the discretionary service fee and a reason for this. We never heard back form the waiter or the manager and ended up paying the small $2 pound difference so we could leave. Overall experience can only be described as EPIC FAIL especially considering the added service fee is discretionary!
Lovely view. Brunch was fantastic. Highly recommended
Highest dinner, lunch or breakfast in Europe! A fusion of class and informality makes this a place to experience!
Book very much in advance if you plan on eating. Otherwise, for a quick cocktail and aperitif, wear your nice shoes and climb the 43 floors for a unique and breathtaking view above London
I have been there last Friday for a late lunch with my family.
First of all, we had a reservation at 3pm, we got there around 3.05 and still we had to wait an extra 10 mins because the table was not ready yet (and the restaurant was not busy at all), however the hostesses were really nice and kind.
As soon as we sat we have been approached by a waitress who clearly explained us how it works there about the sharing plates etc.
When ready,Our order was then taken promptly. However, once we finished our food we had to wait around 20 mins before having our table cleared. The waiters were chilling around the restaurant and when they finally came to to clear our plates, they didn't even bother asking for desserts so that we had to ask someone else after another 15/20 mins.
Plus, as they don't allow the waiters to leave the jug of water on the table, I stayed half of my meal without drinking and no one filled in my glass afterwards.
At least, the location was good and we were able to enjoy stunning views. However, the service standards are far poorer than what I expected. I won't be back.
Really nice place an view of London, the workers really nice. Just a little expensive but the atmosphere is worth it
Ummmm! It s a restaurant with nice view, not very special food and POOR service.
Such a great view and with vegan options late at night. I was visiting from California and still hadn t adjusted my sleep schedule so it s incredible they re open 24 hours
Awful service. The staff both at the door and at the table are rude and dismissive. Gave the restaurant three chances and never once left happy. Sincerely hope others have better experiences.
Food is alright with reasonable price. Ambience is great with the view over Tower Bridge.
Interesting food and tasty. Dates wrapped in bacon and actual duck and waffle. Good wine list. But expensive. of course fantastic view. Very cold aircon and whilst were apologetic, 25 mimutes to wait for drinks is not good.
Run away from this restaurant. It pretends to be high standart but it really isn't. Arrogants waiters, not nice and welcoming at all. If the food is okay (too expansive for what it is), the rudeness of the team is unbearable. We didn't enjoy our time there. Never again.
My friend made me discover this place out of the ordinary. Amazing views...
Amazing service, food and breathtaking view of London.
One restaurant that I'll always remember when in London! duck and waffle just simply so delicious. Very nice atmosphere and great view. Book in advance for a window seat! also its 24 hrs! MUST GO
One of the benefits of this place is, late opening hours, one of the not many places you can get food 24 hours a day. The place has a bar with music and a restaurant which servers dishes mainly made from duck! And waffles, hence the name:-). The food is very tasty and the menus has large viraety of drinks to satisfy different tastes. The views are beautiful durring the night.
Great food with great view at 4 am for sunrise !
Love the service and presentation of food !
Great view and not as pricy as expected. I definitely recommend to get the "duck and waffle". It's confit duck with a nice fresh waffle. Delicious!
A good place to take a breakfast or lunch and/or dinner with a fantastic view from the 40th floor through London. The different sweet wafles are really delicious. Better to make your on line reservation. Enjoy JM
Lovely restaurant with great food and stunning views. Cocktails are great too
Definitely a nice experience, particularly because of the view etc...
Had the Duck & Waffle, which was nice but the food was underwhelming overall. I expected more for a signature dish. We were also seated 20-30 minutes late after our original booking which had knock on effects. I could go back again but I wouldn't rush because it is relatively pricey for what it is.
The views are amazing, but had a bit of a grim experience here last night, received an awful service from staff and thought the food was just average but cost a fortune. Expected more for the price range.
My partner and I had an unforgettable experience at Duck & Waffle, as the food was scrumptious, views were amazing and the service was attentive. Would recommend and hope to go again on another special occssion (perhaps early morning or evening for the sunrise/sunset views).
