Over rated and over priced with only OK food. Go for the view, not the food.

Over rated and over priced with only OK food. Go for the view, not the food.
The view is alone with going for. Food is interesting but it wasn't great.
Good service and quality, obviously the view, but pretty rude to put the bill on the table without having asked for it.
One of my favourite and most memorable meals. SO and I went for our anniversary and it was amazing. Definitely try and get a table when it s dark out, the view of London at night is really something to behold. We went around midnight on a Wednesday. The visit started off with a drink at the bar as we waited for the table to be made ready. We were then seated at a table right next to the window to really get a good view of all London s nightscape had to offer. The food was impeccable and the service high quality. We ordered the duck and waffle (obviously) and the duck burger. For dessert we had the toffee apple waffle and chocolate fondant. Everything was faultless. They even threw in a free happy anniversary mini choc fondant which really was the cherry on top of a perfect night.
Great service and delicious food and cocktails. Need to reserve a table for breakfast. We unfortunately were not given a table by the window so did not get to fully enjoy the view.
I still get equally excited and hungry when remembering my Duck & Waffle experience. Great location, great views, great food !!! An absolute must eat is the spicy ox cheek doughnut.
I already have a couple special occasions lined up where I have booked at the Duck & Waffle in order to share the experience with some friends and family.
Excellent service from start to finish really good and interesting food, will return
The restaurant and bar is about 90% smaller than I somehow thought it was going to be I can't complain it really doesn't impact your evening any more then crappy London weather . Everyone works really hard. Especially the water guy. This is the place to be if you're need of 'the agua'. On a slightly more serious note the food is actually delicious and yes the chicken is a bit weirdly pink at the bone but the small plates seem much more generous then your average and are the star of the show. For city theatre check in..
It's a touristy place and also a bit showy/city, but the views are still amazing and you can just go up for a drink or coffee to enjoy the scenery. The food we had was ok quality, but we paid a premium for the venue.
Had my birthday here. Unfortunately the weather was not good. The restaurant was smaller and more crowded than our expectation. Waiters were polite when they came to ask things, but when we were trying to make eye contact with them, they just ignored me sooooooooo many times!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know why. And the food was too hyped and a bit pricey for what you got. Maybe good for two-persons date but not good for groups.
An incredible site with great views. The price is expensive, but it is worth knowing. The food we ordered is very rich. Extensive wine list
Nice food but expensive. Tried beef tartar and drinks when I came with friends. Good place for birthdays and occasions
Magnificent panorama and ... that's it. Half of the staff is really friendly and they really want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible... but not everyone. The food is alright but to be honest, it's nothing special. The place is very noisy and not especially relaxing. You have to wait for your table at the bar area but there is not many seats so you might end up standing somewhere. The place is overpriced a bit and I can't understand the huge hype about it. Had to tick it off the list tho.
Great views and amazing food. Service was quick and professional
It was okay.....had the duck and waffle. Probably could have made it myself but tastier than that
If you arent fussed about views, don't bother coming here. A lovely venue with great views but food is overpriced and average and service is weak. My friend I both ordered the same scrambled eggs. Hers came fine, mine came watery and really More
Stunning views from the 40th floor with some nice food and cocktails. Recommend everyone to book before you come, and choose the time that matches the view you would like to see, especially if you are going for sunrise and sunset.
Good place to dine with spectacular views from the 40th floor, the duck leg very good
Interesting menu, but be honest you're really paying for the location and views. The duck & waffle is surprisingly good.
Had a voucher bought as a gift. Fantastic views and delicious food with very friendly staff who were jovial. Lift is quite an experience...
Beautiful views and beautiful restaurant but for me the food was boring, nothing impressive. The service was acceptable, a little slow and not very attentive. I think that they need to improve, I hope that next time they impressed us.
Good late night dinner. Open all hours. Get the duck a waffle. Great views over the city. Can be fairly pricey.
I celebrated my birthday at Duck and Waffle. We weren't sitting at a window table at first, but one became available later and we moved. Great views and friendly service. The food was also very interesting.
A bit different and ideal for sharing. Definitely not cheap but worth it!
I can t believe I didn t visit this place in the past six years I have stayed in the UK. This place is unbeatable, the food is amazing, like literally. The only downside is that there is no AC in the restaurant, so it gets REAL HOT in summer. But I guess that s not a problem most of the time, since London ALWAYS RAINS.
Go there just for the view and maybe the cocktails, bad attention and just good food
Came in on a late flight to London and had heard about this place in terms of a lovely view. Thinking it to be a good option for both food and a view after a long journey, I made the walk over. Unfortunately, the doorman must have assumed my tired red-eye flight demeanor (though I had changed into appropriate attire) was "drunk" despite not having had a drink in weeks. Apparently if you're a business traveler who is not white and English, you're not allowed. The large bouncer's comments about how "my kind" don't let on that they are more drunk than they seem was really off-putting. It was one of the most offensive experiences I have ever had, and I hope that they are investigated for their impropriety.
I would recommend that you stay away because apparently you're not welcome unless you fit the preconceived notions of whichever bouncer is working. Implicit bias training would seem too subtle for their staff. Explicit bias training would seem more like it. An unfortunate experience overall that I hope management will correct in the future for other patrons. I, for one, cannot imagine ever trying to go back no matter how late my flight gets in.
breakfast is really good Lunch was not very impressive
This place is amazing. The view is beautiful but the food is ordinary.
Great sunrise view of London whilst having your breakfast.
Good selection of vegetarian options too. Lovely flat white
This place is perfect for a romantic dinner or a business lunch. The views are just marvellous. It's always busy, but the service is excellent 24/7. The food is extraordinary, at least for my taste. My favourite dish is The Duck and Waffle and The full Elvis for dessert. I highly recommend it to everyone.
For height lovers, this is an amazing place! Delicious food (but some ..) breathtaking view!
Very very, very expensive!
A one-time experience, well worth the price.
Loved the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Its a must to visit when in London.
The food was amazing but the service was not as good as it could have been.
The security was so rude.
After we finished our meal we went to the toilet and came back wanted to take a picture the view but the security interrupted us and told us to leave. It was 11 pm so the place was obviously not busy. I don t understand what is his problem. Maybe because we are Asian???? The security at the gate downstairs were not nice too. The tone of their voice was not nice and made us feel like we came for free food. What is wrong with your security?
The food was good and waiters were nice btw.
Must book a table before u visit this place. Stunning view from the restaurant. Serve with their signature duck and waffle( must try!). We had awesome yellowfin tuna as a starter. although it has only 6 small slide, it did impressed me. We also ordered rib, i would recommend this to be shared by 2-3 person as the portion is huge. Tips is not necessary, as they changed very high % for service tax.
Having booked months in advance, I managed to get a reservation for 2 at 8am on a Thursday! This place is very popular so book in advance, I don't imagine they do any walk ups! The views here are spectacular, get there for around 5/6ish to catch a beautiful sunrise! If you take a second to look inside, the interiors are beautiful too, with a nice open plan view into the kitchen.
Great service, incredible views and the food is amazing. Highly recommended!
Came here for dinner in April. Beautiful interior and ambience that makes it ideal for dining for celebrations. The ox cheek donut was an interesting try and did not disappoint. Duck and waffle dish was unique combination only leaving me to come back for more.
What a great place to eat. The experience starts as soon as you step foot into the lift the zooms you up to the 40th floor in seconds. My table was booked for 1630hrs, there was a nice atmosphere and not too busy. Very clean restaurant and attentive staff. Food came out pretty quick and was fantastic ( goat kofta). Portions are on the small side. I only thing I didn't like is having wine served either by glass or carafe. I prefer by the bottle personally.
Never disappoints in service, food and view. Pre-booking strongly encouraged. Duck & Waffle is a must on the table.
Amazing service and So Flexible with the menu.
My wife has a lot of intolerances and our waiter insisted on accommodating to her exact requirements and he made 100% sure that there was no compromise.
Amazing experience, tasty food and incredible view of London Bride
Came here for an 8am reservation in January, and unfortunately the window facing the sunrise had misted up due to the cold and the heat from the sun! Otherwise, the Duck and Waffle was really worth trying, it s delicious and very unique. Coffee was great, mimosa was overpriced, and I wouldn t try anything else on the menu except for the Duck and Waffle (everything else is pretty average). I shared the Duck Benedict which was alright but not mind-blowing. I think the view at night time would have been better!
what a great location, wonderful food BUT no barman to make cocktails. My wife and I arrived earlier than our friends and ordered a cocktail each. we were then informed after our drinks arrived that this was the last drink that could be ordered and our guests would not be able to have cocktails. Slightly bemused as to why there was no barman we were simply told that he had gone home. More importantly we were embarrassed that our guests could not order drinks. The waitress was left to explain this and no attempt was made by the management to explain why. Poor is probably not a low enough adjective to describe service in this case.
Flawless service. Ask for Chris the server. Duck and waffle is worth the trip. The view is breathtaking.
The food is very tasty! There is no argument about this. But ... the waiters are neglected and "tired", one dish was spicy and we were not told about it at the time of the order (they replaced it, but the taste of spicy filled our mouths and harmed the pleasure during the meal) and the second order we ordered was also spicy ..
Excellent service, gorgeous panoramic view of london city from 40 floors up
Perfect for a treatyoself day. The food and drinks are pricey (but delicious), and the view is spectacular. If I'm in the area killing time I'll sometimes get a coffee and just gaze out the window near the bar. The view is much better and more expansive from the actual restaurant though.
Went for anniversary late dinner on 4th March. My other half booked over a week advance & they only had 11.45pm time slot aviable which was fine for us as it turn out not to be busy, which I liked. The security at the door were really nice, the deco & the view was stunning.
The food was delicious. I had crispy duck many times before but never with waffle! I thought it's going to be a gimmick but the duck was really tasty
It was crispy on the out side & juicy on the inside not at all dry. The waffle was fine with it.
The staff was friendly & professional, our waiter was smiling the whole time & we received a perfect services. Will defiantly be going back again.
Reservation is highly recommend. You may not get the window seat and by luck we seated one. I actually like the duck & waffle and caramelized banana waffle. With the excellent view, the food were delicious.
Rejected us at 4:30 in the morning for no reason, really rude. Had not been drinking (I don't drink) and it is meant to be 24 hour.
It is what it is. Decent food, awesome views and the sort of prices you d expect for a venue like this in London
The views were quite nice and the food was good, not super spectacular but not horrid. (I think our waffles were overcooked) And the service was relatively quick. If I go back, I would try for a different meal.
Great service. Fast and precise. Good food, although I would expect a bit more flavour on the risotto and the aubergines. The roasted peppers are delicious and the chocolate fondant really good.
A choice of cider would be very apreciated.
The view is amazing but the couchs on the tables need a bit re-vamp. Overall, really good.
Beautiful view, nice music. Cosy and warm.
A little bit expensive though.
Came here with my friend in the evening. The view is amazing. Service is above the average but one of them made me a bit rushed to finish the appetizers because he said we only have 1.5 hr... After the entree, the other waiter came and kindly told us we are allowed to stay longer that made us a bit more comfortable. The food is ok, not my style, but the duck and waffle is the best! Price is affordable and the atmosphere is good but it's too difficult to get the reservation...
All good. Good atmosphere, incredible views, maybe a long wait and good food corresponding to the price you pay.
Awesome food and great view! Service was excellent as well.
It's an experience to be at 300 meters high and eat incredibly good food!
Based on the reviews about their staff members, I was kinda skeptical going there. I am glad my experience was more than positive. The staff is really friendly, except the lady at the reservation desk (horrible, looks like she thinks she is above everyone that comes to the restaurant), prices are solid (not expensive for such nice views) and the food is amazing! On top of that, they surprised my partner with a small cake slice as it was her birthday. Top notch! Will definitely visit again once I am in London!
Bright To Dark
Nice View By The Window Seat
Service
A Little Disappointed About The Food
Big fan of crispy pig ear. The view is good as mentioned by lots of review. However, the most impressive is the cocktail, expensive but creative and tasty
The view is awesome and the staff are wonderful. The menu is a little limited if you re not a waffle fan (but really, why are you here then?) and it can get a bit stuffy in the heat of summer.
We had some mouldy bread served with our meal but they were super apologetic and comped us a new meal which was appreciated.
I have to deduct another star or two as I got very sick from the signature duck and waffle dish. Understand that you run the risk with game dishes but for this standard of dining, I would ve expected better food quality standards all around.
Come here for its view and not their food! Duck and waffle was quite disappointing as the duck was very dry, and I feel that most breakfast places in London serve better food.
Went here for a birthday and is now definitely up there with one of my favourite ever restaurants. The bar area offers great views of London accompanied by the different layout of their 'inside out' bar, so even going for just a drink is a great experience. In the restaurant, service was perfectly time and staff were friendly. Food tasted great. You do somewhat pay for the view but the view is definitely worth it especially if you get a window seat. After, a trip down the stairs to the sister bar/restaurant 'sushi samba' is a must to experience an outdoor bar at the top of a skyscraper.
Make sure you book well in advance (the bookings are available from up to 2 months before)
