What a disgusting experience. Not deserve even a star.

If you are colored, you should avoid going there.
For reference, I am Asian definitely and went with Mom during my visit in UK.

Visited this restaurant early in the morning tough I just had checked cancellation message as I could not confirm it. So I had to wait for about 30-40 min finally a waitress showed us into the table in the middle of hall. Actually this restaurant is famous for its view on 40th floor so a bit disappointed but accepted.
After a while, 2 whites at the right corner of window seat, requested to move them to another central window seat so they changed their table. Therefore, we thought the table where they had been to be empty now so asked availability. A waitress answered will check and revert then never came back. And another waitress answered like in a glance'no. the seat is requested by other customer'. Hello? we just saw two guys just moved? But we did not insist strongly as we do not want to ruin the whole day from the start. Then the other white couple in the aisle seat just moved their table to window one and right after that 2 Asians newly came and of course served to seat in the aisle seat where the couple were.
Are you going to say this is my total misunderstanding just happened by accident?

The food taste normal apart from egg smelled sickly. Also duck was too dry and overcooked. Waffle, not impressed. Surely too expensive compared to qualities. The price includes the view but if you are colored, you have got to pay it without having it.

Racism does not only mean direct abuse or physical violence. This kind of undefined behaviour is obviously racism.

Before the trip, I searched for reservations on the Internet by introducing acquaintances, but the most suitable reservation time is 7:30am, so I made a reservation because it was impossible.

And while I was checking my e-mail on my cell phone the day before my reservation, I came across a message stating that the reservation was cancelled. It is in accordance with the internal regulation that if the reservation is not confirmed 24 or 48 hours before, it will be canceled, and because I was traveling overseas, I was using a local SIM chip and could not receive the phone call specified in the previous reservation. I tried calling more than 10 times from the moment I checked the message to the morning of the reservation day, but I couldn't reach it. I got up early in the morning anyway and prepared it, so I arrived at the restaurant on time.

As per the message, the reservation was canceled, and I asked for information if there was an vacant seat or a seat where the reservation was canceled. He was informed that a seat was available over time and was assigned a seat in the middle of the hall, and he said he had to empty the table within 50 minutes because there was another reservation. Contrary to what I expected inside, there were a few empty tables, so I was disappointed that it would have been if I had given up a seat in advance, but I was satisfied with the seat and ordered a meal even though the reservation was cancelled.

As you heard, it was a glass restaurant on the 40th floor, so the view toward the window looked very good. When the seats in the center window finished their meals and left, two white people in the right corner said they would move to the center and the corner window seat was emptied. Lost. I thought that it was possible to move the seat, so I inquired about the move to server 1, but he did not return or gave an answer, so I asked another server to move again. I have a reservation, so I can't.' I was a little offended because I saw a guest sitting there a few minutes ago, but I just gave up moving from a seat in the middle of the hall because I felt that the right to speak was weakened enough to be assigned a table with a canceled reservation. However, when the other window seats were emptied, a white couple sitting in the middle of another hall asked to move to the window seat, and immediately approved and witnessed the move. Although this white couple came a long time later than us. I was offended and soon two other Asian guests came in, and I saw the white couple being guided to a seat in the middle of the hall. I felt like a chimney to ask if it was racial discrimination, but it seemed too clear to answer that I had no choice but to protest because I had already ruined the day from the morning, and that it was a guest whose reservation was canceled until I protested. It's just spoiling the day at the restaurant I visited.

Racial discrimination You have to speak up and commit violence, but it's not racial discrimination. I think this invisible racism actually accounts for most of the racism that occurs around us.

The restaurant was located on the 40th floor to enjoy the view, and the food wasn't good enough. The taste comes to mind when you think about what it tastes like if you eat it with waffles/duck meat/fried. The duck egg wasn't fresh or it was fishy. Duck egg en cocotte is a taste of food that gets tired of just tax.

It was known that it was possible to have a fairly decent meal at a reasonable price compared to a good view, but the good outlook seems limited only to some people, the meal wasn't impressed, and if you think about London prices, the level of 60,000 won for two people is average. Expensive to pay for breakfast, and the service was disgusting.

It's been a while since I've been here and it's still hard to get a booking! Waking up early for breakfast on a Sunday... I'm not sure if it was worth it. Either my expectations have gone up or this place has dropped theirs. The duck was overdone and dry, the waffle was hard and the egg was rubbery. The only thing which remained the same were the amazing panoramic views. Then again I used to come here after a night of clubbing when we were hungry and intoxicated, so maybe I'm remembering wrong. Either way, I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon. Thumbs up for being accessible though.

The restaurant was quite noisy, so not the peaceful lunch I was hoping for. Upon arrival we were told that we could only have the table for an hour (this also happened the previous time I made a reservation), which meant that we did not have time for coffee. The toilet floor was wet with what I hope was water and had toilet paper everywhere. Although having said this, the food was tasty and I think it's worth a visit.

Loved this place for breakfast high above London! The entrance can be a bit tricky- the signs for SushiSamba are much bigger, but same door. We found breakfast tasty, fast, reasonably priced and creative. Staff were eager to help and very friendly. Recommended!

View spectacular, staff excellent, unfortunately food was not. Had lunch on Friday 16 January 2015 found the menu very limiting an even more so if only two people dining. However that would not have been so bad had we both not been physically ill an hour or so after leaving the restaurant. Have complained to restaurant but heard nothing further. Obviously would not eat there again but an acknowledgement would have been nice!

London s highest restaurant...on the 40th floor, no less! The views are spectacular and on a clear night it really was a great setting for dinner. Very busy, and very noisy - not sure that it would be good for a romantic occasion with lots of sweet nothings... The menu offers a good selection of eclectic food, with some clever twists on traditional dishes. There s a good wine selection although I thought that the cocktails were limited in number. Bacon wrapped dates... delicious but pricey. Lamb keema bread was divine, as was the ox cheek doughnut. For the main... it had to be...the duck and waffle. Nice enough, but both the main items were a little dry.

Excuse me please, the view from the bar is AMAZING. We rocked up here for brunch, the duck and waffle itself is just delicious, but more impressive is the incredible view while you're eating. Loved this place (and I hear it's open at ungodly hours, which is perfect).

Very pretentious, and quite overpriced. Nevertheless, the bbq pig ears were good and the signature duck and waffle was great. Drinks were okay - it seemed like they were trying a little too hard on that front. Overall I'd say its worth a visit.

I give three stars and I explain the reason. I was not given the chance to go up. Because to what the character told me at the entrance, the tables were all occupied. A dress code is recommended; unfortunately, trousers and t-shirts are not very welcome. I will see the view of London sitting at the table of another skyscraper.

Duck and Waffle came recommended from my gf's brother, who had visited London from the states a year or so prior. We wanted to combine both a great sight with incredible sounds. Duck and Waffle did one of those. The view was incredible. Also, the drinks were really good. However, upon seating, the host forgot about our reservation, and thus we were waiting for over 45 minutes to be seated(If anyone from Duck and Waffle sees this review, we were 7:30pm on September 7th, 2019 should you want to reference).

When we did get seated, we had great service. We started with the smoked eel croquettes and the raw salmon, which were both very good. We split the Duck and Waffle which was more than enough, and ended with a great dessert! Unfortunately, we were then told to leave because, although we were seated over 45 minutes late, we were told we were over our allotted dining time.

I give this 3 out of 5 starts because the menu prices were very reasonable and the view was spectacular. Also, the service, once we were seated, was great. However, I do not recommend this place if you are visiting London.

My advice - Go to the Asian Place right below it or try another spot.

Once one of the best restaurants in London. 24/7 operating place. To make a reservation and go
place. It is convenient to make a reservation two months before the day you want to go.
Duck & Waffle, a signature menu, goes well with duck meat and waffles unexpectedly. Other menus also look good.
It is recommended for couples to try to get a good day mood.

Absolutely loved it. Delicious food especially Octopus Salad - great combo. Came to have a coctail. Ended up with full table and complimentary Birthday desert. Friendly atmosphere, amazing service. When 1 person can make a change. Prabin was super attentive. Definitely an asset for this company. When he found out i have a BD he immediately brought us something super cute. Would definitely recommend this place. Thank you so much Prabin for making this evening so special!!!

This place has taken new precautions on and is very safe. Everyone wearing masks, they clean all surfaces and wipe down chairs and tables after use. Tables are very well spaced out and the views of London are amazing. Service is exceptional and the menu and food are out of this world. Don't miss this opportunity while it's quiet

Great restaurant with spectacular views.
Staff is fantastic and very attentive. We felt welcomed and really enjoyed the whole experience and the iconic Duck & Waffle dish!
Thanks guys for making it a fabulous night!

Gave my jacket to the wardrobe and someone stole it. The staff were very unimpressed and just told me that it was my fault.

Be careful and have a look on your clothes.

- Their signiture dish, the duck & waffle was great. An interesting combination of flavours.
- Views are great... if you actually get to see them after the elevator.

- The bread was chewwy and hard to cut with the utensils provided.
- Restaurant was crowded despite coronavirus.
- We had booked weeks in advanced and had told them we were on our honeymoon. Despite this we were sat at a table with no view and constant groups of people brushing past us to get to their table.

Do make a reservation on time or you will miss out on the views.

When we ordered drinks, I believe they forgot our orange juice. It didn t came with the other drinks and they didn t serve it to us until we asked for it, once again.

The duck & waffle was great. The sweet syrup matches the duck perfectly and doesn t make the waffle too dry. Hash browns were also great, but I expected a bigger portion of the wild mushrooms (2 pieces).

A view of London at 4 a.m. In the foreground is a rocket which failed to launch and so has been cleverly repurposed as an office building a.k.a. The Gherkin.

Thinking the world would be asleep at this hour, I sauntered in expecting to see a few other night owls. Wrong. London doesn't sleep, the place was full, and had to make a reservation on the spot. Lucky me, the wait was only 30 minutes.

It is lunchtime in Sydney, so here I am having a lunch of duck and waffle, and the place is, of course, called Duck & Waffle.

Overall service was great (from Reservations to Waiter), food was good, crowd was good. I will be back.

I had high expectations coming here especially since we were on our honeymoon and have been told this would be a memorable location, and whilst the view was good (we managed to get a window seat), the food was nothing to write home about. The dish after which the restaurant is named was mediocre - the duck was quite dry and the waffle tasted bland, almost store bought. We were not impressed with the doorman or the staff who sat us down. Drinks were alright though - perhaps this would be better as a drinks-and-view place. Would not come back.

Kitchen and staff were careless when it came to allergies.

We told the waiter of our allergy (onion and garlic) concerns, as 1 person in our party has intolerance, and was advised that dishes could be made without them. The first dish came and I double checked with the waiter and was told that 'There is no onions, if there was you could see it on top' lucky I took a bite first, the entire dish had onion throughout. Not a single apology or any acknowledgement that they made a mistake however I guess they must of known they made a mistake because they gave us a free bottle of water. Wow thanks an apology and acknowledgment would of been better than that weak gesture.

Overall Extremely disappointed in the experience.

These were the things that stood out that made the experience so disappointing.

- carelessness when it comes to allergies
- air conditioning was broken and was extremely hot.
- 3 dishes brought to our table that we did not order.
- waiter swearing at another waiter and had to be taken out back to be talked to.
- food was heavily salted and felt the quality was not there.

Second time here and was disappointed twice. Will tell all friends and family to give this place a miss.

Just seated for less than an hour, just right after we finished our meal, they cleared our plates and gave us bills. Why doest it feel like im eating in chinese restaurant? The food was okay, nothing extraordinary. But the service was real bad. The way we are told to left was worse than eating in mcdonalds

Amazing waffle for breakfast, friendly staff and lovely English breakfast tea. This was a real treat and a great experience. Unfortunately we had minimal views as the weather was bad but despite this we had a great time.

I booked 2 months in advance for my first wedding anniversary dinner for 19:30. It felt like going to a night club with the security outside. We were not seated until about 20:00. The drinks at the bar cost as much or more than the food.

Once seated in the restaurant, we ordered:

*Pulled goat meat flatbread - probably best dish we had; meat was moist and flavorful

*Angus steak tartare - mediocre, can't really mess this dish up

*Lamb breast - a bit overcooked, only 4 tiny pieces of the meat

*Crispy bbq spiced pig ears - they came in a paper lunch sack (tacky in my opinion); too crunchy and tasted like bbq flavored chips/crisps

*Foie Gras creme brulee - why?!? most disgusting thing ever

*Angus ribeye steak for 2 - quite nice and medium cooked, but had that bbq spice like the pig ears that I didn't care for

*Baked Alaska - it was like a lemon meringue on a biscuit; I didn't care for it, so didn't eat it

*White chocolate mousse - had very bitter strawberries, not great, but not terrible

Overall, the food itself was innovative, pretty, and nicely executed. It didn't taste great, but food is subjective and different for all. My husband was not impressed.

The service was terrible. There were loads of staff, yet we ignored. We would signal a waiter, but he walked away. We also had one shake his head at us, twice. Our experience was quickly ruined by the crappy service. With how long we waited, we easily could have walked away without paying the bill. If we could give a rating for service, I'd give them a zero.

The view was beautiful once it became dark. The elevator/lift ride was a lot of fun.

Duck and Waffle was super hyped and did not live up to it. It was pretentious and had the worst service I've ever experienced. I'm glad I tried it, but have no intentions on going back.

I walked into this joint fully expecting a duck and a waffle to greet me. Instead I was greeted by a man asking me to please sign my name and wait to be seated. I was extremely dissapointed. Not what I expected.

It s not a huge restaurant but the service was really good and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. I went for breakfast was bit hard to pick savoury or sweet ! As we know it s waffle . Elvis does Xmas I had its bit too sweet for me from the candied chestnuts, but whole waffle with peanut butter and orange was really good match. Will try savoury soon . * great view all the way up :)

Wow! What a location! I went to a cookery class here so the quality of the was of a very high standard. The staff were warm, welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I will return to eat as I was impressed by the menu.

Just wanted to write few words how amazing service we have received at the Duck and Waffle last evening. Pre-drinks and private room with some delicious finger food was just a top level & a perfect place to celebrate our colleagues farewell. Special Thank You to Micha and Rui who looked after us for a whole evening. Their profession and great attention to all details made the whole evening a fantastic experience for all of us. Thanks again. I shall be back

Really cool 24/7 venue with great duck dishes and even better views of London. Make sure you book in advance as it's an extremely popular spot that isn't too big. We were looked after pretty well and service was quick, looking forward to going back!

Beautiful place because of the views from top of the bulding, other than that i believe the place is overrated, food is okay, drinks are fine, but in general because of the building and the atmosphere, i expected a lot better food. Still it a nice place to visit or to do on a date.

Couldn t sleep, so I went around 6:30 in the morning which was a great time to go as it wasn t too busy. However, I suggest you make a reservation if you d like a window view, the views are absolutely breathtaking, some of the best in London I would imagine.

The breakfast menu was great, I had the Duck & Waffle with coffee and baileys. The mustard syrup for the waffle was to die for. This was also my first time having a fried duck egg, and it was phenomenal. The colour of the yolk was beautiful.

I d like to come back again for dinner as the dinner pictures look outstanding as well. I would definitely recommend this great restaurant, especially as it s open 24 hours. Reservations are recommended.

Loved this place. It's on the 39th floor of the building so brace yourself for going up and down the lift. Staff were lovely. Hand sanitizer was readily available at multiple points. Food was cooked to perfection. The drink pictured is a non alcoholic Paloma. They were kind enough to remove the tequila as I don't drink and they were also very careful about allergies and amended my meals accordingly. The dessert pictured is the caramelised banana waffle but with the nuts and chocolate hazelnut spread removed. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The views were great and I was able to have a mini photoshoot too! Will definitely be visiting again.

Amazing food doesn't matter what you order, could stay here eating all night and morning! And the cost of it is down to earth and not over priced. Great views if you're close to the window and the glass lift is an experience in itself.
