Expensive and excellent. Had 4 courses and a bottle of wine, all were delicious. Those with a fear of heights may find the elevator a little scary, but the views are stunning. Make sure you try the duck & waffle dish that gives this place its name, I was skeptical but now can't wait to try it again.

I actually didn't enjoy this place as much as I expected I would. The food is phenomenal and interesting, the staff are friendly, and the view is fantastic. However, you have a very classy place with rather poppy, teenage music. And the chairs and the table fit a high-end cafeteria more than an expensive, high-end restaurant. There's a contradiction between the two that doesn't sit well with me.

Dinner for 4 tonight.
Waiter attempted to memorize order, then came back 3 times to clarify
Duck doughnut burnt - kindly replaced
Mains order ended up being wrong anyway
Dessert menus flicked across the table
When we asked about desserts on menu, waiter could not remember components/ explain correctly
Bill incorrect with extra water
When about to pay, waiter "I'm too tired to split the bill"
Would've not paid for the service fee but by then we just couldn't be bothered anymore

Their food is nice

Their food is nice
But service is so terrible, even you book a table and come there on time, you still need to wait over half hours for your table

And they are so ridiculous
They don't know customers pay or not
And they phone me to check my payment.
The feeling was bad

My mood ruined by ground staff (reception) this morning. Showing bxxchy face, treated us impatiently.
The signature food duck and waffle really overated. It is just an average food, so you are just paying for the view.
I got better food and service elsewhere but definitely not D&W.

Duck & Waffles was perfect! The Egg was huge and cooked just nice for the runny yolk to flow on my duck! Will visit again my next trip to London. Staff are very attentive and friendly as well. Remember to make a reservation online before going down!

Very good food but their so called bottomless brunch is a complete fraud. Not worth the price. Their mimozas are actually just orange juice. The rest of their drinks are made with obviously cheap sparkling wine rather than champagne. Hugely disappointed. We will not be going back.

Duck and waffle signature dish (gluten free) was amazing. Views delightful. But experience was spoiled by terrible service.

Ordered juice, waffle and coffee. Coffee arrived first, then later the waffle. Orange juice never arrived.

Waiter delivering coffee couldn't balance the tray and reached over diners to deliver.

Plates were removed continually before all diners had finished. I was told - 'you don't need to hurry' as plates were whipped away from other diners. Waiter attempted to remove unfinished coffee and juice. Totally intrusive and unnecessary.

Arrived 10 minutes before booking at 10.30 and were waiting for rest of party. Pressured to be seated immediately and to order before everyone had arrived because last orders were at 10.45. Pressured to order a sweet dessert even when we said no.

Special occasion ruined by sloppy, unprofessional staff.

We had limited time in London when we first visited this wonderful city. I'm glad we were able to squeeze in a breakfast here. The view alone is worth it.. plus the good food, ambience and friendly staff. I would definitely go back next time im in London.

This place was ridiculous. I went here on a hot summer day, wearing sandals, to a 24hr waffle restaurant and was turned down for wearing said sandals- at 2am...

There s no dress code on their site as far as I could tell, and it s a waffle restaurant... Would give them 0 stars if I could for terrible service.

I d like to mention that the excuse was because they couldn t be liable for shattered glass for open-toed shoes... but my wife also had open-toes sandals and they were plenty content letting her in...

The food was great, although not cheap. Very attentive service and the view can only rave about!
Without reservation, it will be difficult to get a free table, so be sure to book on the Internet and appear on time.

Avoid avoid avoid! If you have any issues with your meal/service you will just be ignored! The customer service received by Duck and Waffle is disgusting.

I have attempted email (twice) Twitter and Instagram (via DM and on posts) but just like the service received during my meal, I have been let down and received no response.

Not only was I rushed from my table 30 minutes earlier than my booking was for but also had someone hoovering right behind my seat during my meal. I understand cleaning must happen at some point but the management of this task was simply not good enough. I was not warned on booking nor did I expect to pay full price for a less than acceptable experience. But what has got my back up the most is no response since trying to contact the restaurant. Money grabbers who have no care for their customers. I certainly will not be returning and I will be sure to let everyone know of the awful experience I received. My recommendation would be to book somewhere else!

Reasonably priced despite the location and view. Ordered the nduja and gruyere bread, seared octopus (with whipped yellow lentils yums), duck and waffle and reginette pasta with lemon thyme, wild mushrooms and truffle! Bread with the gooey, stretchy gruyere and the ruffle like pasta are my top picks!

Food, cocktail, dessert and service are also excellent. It is a very good experience to be able to enjoy such a meal in the high air of London and see the wonderful wealth. Because there are many weights, it is recommended to book in advance in advance or visit very early in the morning. The best place to go in London

The kitchen burned our bread, so service was a bit out of order but they apologized profusely and gave us a couple dishes on the house. Our server Christian was a delight and when the tomato/bleu cheese ranch bread finally came out it was sublime. Obviously the duck and waffle was amazing but we were almost too full to eat it. The Reformed Pornstar cocktail was also a showstopper!

The restaurant manager was extremely rude to the group I had breakfast with in one of their private dining areas.

The rudeness and arrogance we experienced were so unbelievable that I really cannot give an honest opinion of the food.

The glass lift up to the 40th floor sets the atmosphere for this dining experience. Though a misty evening the 360 degree views of the city were still incredible. The menu was limited and dominated by the flagship "duck & waffle" and a few other signature dishes. When our food arrived, though the portions were small the quality of the food was very high.

With the limited vegetarian options the wait staff were knowledgable regarding quantities and selecting a suitable combination of dishes.

Great cocktails, but only one beer on the menu.

Had a great time and would recommend, but only for special occasions as the prices are high!

Amazing views over London with some great food options. You do pay a hefty premium however for the view! Awesome cocktails available in the bar at sushi samba, worth a visit pre/post eating.

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Had an absolute nightmare with the shocking levels of customer service displayed by one of the members of waiting staff and the manager on duty on Saturday 29th September 2018. Arrived for an after drinks meal at around 11 pm and they were doing their overnight menu which was quite limited but acceptable. After going through the menu and the ingredients as myself and guest visiting from Canada both have severe lactose intolerance, we selected our choices based on the ingredients and asking a waiter about each item on the menu. When the starters came out , it turned out it contained cheese which was not on the menu and waiter had said it only contains mayonnaise. When we raised this with him he became highly aggressive insisting we have already ordered and it was our problem for not telling him before hand which we did. We then asked to see a manager who came and started to berate us echoing his unprofessional member of staffs stance and attitude as he leaned into my guests personal space like some sort of high school teacher. When i realised we were not going to come to any understanding, i quickly insisted it was okay to diffuse the situation as it was highly embarrassing to be spoken to in this condescending manner from some one who is an apparent manager.

The waiter who had served us then returned to give what appeared to be a half baked apology but said if the allergy was that bad, we would be in hospital or dead when i gave the example of the recent misfortune with an allergy related death with a Pret meal.We were both gobsmacked by this but i can only put this to a cultural misunderstanding by this gentleman. My guest refused to eat anything insisting on leaving immediately but I quickly finished the main which was mediocre and over priced at best and promptly left to head to the nearest McDonalds which proved to be much better value for money.

I often drink in the Heron Towers bars but have never eaten there and would certainly not recommend it to anyone, particularly for the late night menu.

The Duck & Waffle is absolutely amazing! I made this one of my planned stops while in London and am so glad that I did. From the beautiful stylish decor, the amazing view of London, and the incredible food this place delivers on all levels.

I made a point of trying their signature dish (duck leg and waffle with duck egg and maple syrup) and was not disappointed. It was an amazingly light breakfast dish.

This has immediately become a destination location for me for whenever I pass through London.

We came here for lunch, the view is definitely a huge draw, 40 floor high 360 degrees. The duck & waffle is good, and I was pleasantly surprised at the nice selection of small plates and appetizers, we got the crispy pig year which I highly recommend, and the pasta with mushroom in creamy sauce is tasty too!! the seaweed over eel with crispy bread is a bit a downer though

I went to Duck and Waffle with group of friends. We booked through the website and got a very good table next to the best view of the Gherkins. The best time to dine with the sunset light was between 19:30 - 20.00 during spring time. The Whole roasted chicken with truffles, wild mushrooms was fantastic!! The flavour was so smooth and juicy with aroma of truffles. It was perfectly cooked. The oven baked cod was the next favourite. It came with delicious creamy sauce, seaweed mayonnaise. Very tasty for fish lovers. The Duck and waffle was tasty and cooked perfectly, tender sweet and juicy. However, the aged rib-eye was my least favourite because it was too difficult to chew. They didn t provide us a proper knife for beef so we asked for it but it wasn t the right knife for beef anyway. The dessert was good. I had Chocolate fondant with peanut butter ganache. The taste went well together. Overall, we had a wonderful time!!

Love this place. Was there for my birthday in July. The views were amazing, food was great and prices reasonable.
Staff were friendly, kept checking on us and were very helpful. The place could usea refurb but apart from that its great.

Brunch with spectacular London views! This is one of the most special places for breakfast/brunch in London. Super fast lift and beautiful interiors. When comes to food, the famous duck & waffle dish is good with excellent combined duck & waffle that melt in mouth. The portions though are a bit small and everything is overpriced. Combined with the fact that you have to book at least 1,5 month earlier to secure a place here, it is a bit waste of time & energy for an average brunch menu.

I love a lunch date with my friends from Bullhorn. They love heights and good & interesting food as much as I do. London gives us a lot of room to explore and I couldn t hesitate to recommend Duck & Waffle!

I was taking my daughter and two of her teenage friends to a concert, we decided to stop here for dinner. The girls all loved it. For starters we had the grilled octopus, it was perfectly cooked. There was nothing that I wouldn't recommend from everything we ate. I cannot recommend this restaurant more heartily. The service was as good as the food.

Thought this was going to disappoint but it really didn't. Went for a birthday lunch - helped getting the best seat in the place with a view over London Bridge but loved the ambience (had expected it to be a bit stuffy), food was delicious and the Mojito was outstanding! Will definitely be back.
