Stopped by for a drink. Amazing view and great cocktails. Can't rate the food but my drinks were on point.
It has been almost 7 years since the first time I came to this restaurant and I didn t have a good experience, but I thought I should give it another try since it has been so long. Went there for late night meal this time at 1am with two other friends, I must say the quality of the food has improved a lot, and the portion has gone bigger. Service still need improving tho, it was really hard to get attention of the waiters and few of them looked like they didn t want to serve us at all. Overall I had a really nice experience this time and will be back for special occasion.
Truly desappointed by the customer service of Duck and Waffle. It was spiteful. Staff is so incompetent. I actually felt uncomfortable for them and their lack of conduct.
In a word: useless. Managers and waiters are just talking with each other and chilling in the corner of the restaurant. Did not check on the table once! And lets face it the restaurant is tiny. It does not take much.
Forgot our sparkling water then tried to charge us for it.
I literally had to ask to a manager (he had a suit and a walkie) to take off our empty plates after 20 mins waiting for it. Made a face, the situation was just ridiculous.
Did not ask us if we wanted desserts and when taking our paiements, did not even smile or say thank you. Really awkward moment.
I only put two stars only because the lentils and the Duck Benedicts were actually alright.
Such a shame! The potential of the restaurant is completely let down.
I will never recommend it to any of my entourage and I will not return.
The signature duck & waffle was nice but not out of this world.
Starters were enjoyable & with suitably interesting depth of flavours. Foie gras & spicy tuna were both lovely. The devil's on horseback were standard.
Desserts were my favourite course with an intelligent chef, unusual & well-balanced flavours, presented with flair.
Panoramic view is top notch & excellent for a date or corporate lunch. Ask for a table with the best view when you book. Definitely the main reason to go there!
Nice cocktail bar area, also with a view, & a long long wine list.
They checked bags on the way in, including making me open my violin case on the floor - but I guess that is an unusual item for the security guard to come across.
Check out the huuuuge aquarium in the ground floor lobby of heron tower offices next door. As impressive as the view from duck & waffle!
It is very hard to get a reservation even after booking 1-2 months ahead. I made a reservation for December 2016 via their booking system but Duck & Waffle cancelled my booking because I did not pick up their call nor reply their email about 1 week before the reservation (I was touring Europe). So, guys, pls check your phones and email regularly after you have book a slot with Duck & Waffle. They will ask you to confirm your booking (after you have booked) via call or email. If you don't, your reservation will be dropped by them (no matter how long ago you booked)
I then booked 1 month later for breakfast at 0845hrs and we went to try the signature Duck & Waffle at Duck & Waffle.
POSITIVE:
-Taste was superb. I had my doubts how an egg, a waffle and a crispy duck leg would taste like as it is both savory and sweet stuff. Turns out, the taste was amazing
- View up top was amazing
NEGATIVE:
-The waiters look down as they walk ard serving guests. I tried to get attention of a few waiters whom walked past so that I could order but to no avail. my wife told me that I was not trying hard enough. Taking up her challenge, I raised both hands up straight for about 30secs (like a goalkepper) and it worked! someone in the kitchen noticed me and asked a waiter to come to take my order.
Having said all these, I definitely will come and have it again. It taste really nice. =)
They wouldn't let us in without booking so we had to book when we were outside but once we were in the food and views were amazing.
Lovely brunch with amazing London views! Duck and waffle is a must have!! If you are after something sweet, don t look further than the Caramelized Banana waffle.

Just called them to make reservation for 2 people for tomorrow lunch and without saying a word I was hung up by the concierge guy. Literally, me and hubby were shocked and I asked hubby if the guy just hang up on me. Then I rang them again straight away (the same man answered) and told him I just called for a reservation for tomorrow and he said it s full . So I guess I was really hung up. R U D E !

The view is excellent.the food is expensive and overly salty, so the flavours feel intense but you realise it is actually just too much salt. The sides were my favourite part of the meal.

We've ordered the duck & waffle, vegetarian chickpeas, and the egg, truffles and duck -- all mediocre. The view, drinks and atmosphere were the best thing about the place.
This is an amazing experience. First you take the lift up to the 40th floor, the view is awesome. Then the food, waffle and duck, I mean how can you go wrong. It was my birthday and I had egg Benedict on top of duck and waffle. The combo blew my mind, all with the most amazing view over London.
Love this place. Great views and interesting menu. I always bring guests visiting from out of town here. Cocktails seemed to be "health" themed this time which was a bit of a shame (kale, etc). Bring back the aged Jack Daniels barrel smoked one! They were also serving a limited menu at the bar (the Gruyere and nduja bread wasn't available ) and you can no longer get the spiced doughnut or the duck and waffle at the bar which is a shame...

We had breakfast during sunrise there. And it was one of the best ways to start a day! The view was really beautiful to enjoy, as it is located on the 40th floor. Their well-known duck and waffle was astonishing, the duck was deliciously tender. Their service was really warming too.
A reservation though is needed to book the hour you want, especially on weekends. Otherwise, you will have to be on a quite long waiting list.
As always the staff and food were amazing. Took friends for their first visit and they loved it too, hope to be back soon.

Incredible view! Place is little too accessible many drunk low class people. Had wonderful date but was slightly too loud for a restaurant. Food was slightly dry but different and tasty.
A little on the pricey side and the waits very long if you go on a busy day especially late night.

We went there for breakfast, but as we had to wait for more than 1h so it turned to a lunch. Therefore, be sure you have a reservation otherwise they let you wait without any information.
The food was good but also nothing special. You defently pay for the amazing view rather than for the food quality.

The view was great but the food and service wasn't. If you have made a reservation, do remember to dress according to the dress code or else you will be told off by the doorman.

wonderful decor and great music (not too loud) playing. friendly staff and reasonable prices.
i got an honest burger with rosemary fries, it arrived quickly and it was absolutely delicious. the fries were unique and the burger was bursting with flavour. I highly recommend
They re trying REALLY hard to make this place cooler and more exclusive than it is they will be rude to you and artificially(!!) say they are full if you don t have a reservation, even when they definitely do have room to serve you. As they told me to my face sorry, we re full I was able to go online and reserve a table and return 3 minutes later. If I can get a table reserved within 10 minutes from now, you can t possibly be full!! Now they are forced to seat me because I magically have a reservation and they magically have room. GET OVER YOURSELVES. Your restaurant isn t that cool.
Excellent view, good food and great atmosphere. If you don't like heights then avoid it but if you don't have any problem with amazing landscapes from floor 40, then this is your place!

I went here for breakfast with that mindset that it'd be all about the views. It certainly was. Service was quick. No complaints about the breakfast but I have had better.

An amazing 24 hour restaurant with great bar, superb staff. We were in for Brunch, and had amazing food such as Duck and Waffle, homemade biscuits, granola, fizz, snowball cocktail. Amazing views and we were lucky to be right next to the window. You need to book, we booked three months before.
The view is great, the food is delicious, and the portion is not enough for the boys to eat.

Very bad experience, only because the food was terrible, extremely salty.
Food is not bad. But the waiter's attitude made the experience really bad. He just kept talking about sarcastic jokes and it's not even funny at all. It's more like telling you off in a sort of so called humorous way.
Didn't get his name but he is the only one who wears red shirt.
Maybe avoid talking to the red shirts next time if you are going.

Nice place to enjoy your food with nice city view. The security is quite strict and we were told to throw our water bottles away before we could access to the lift.

so much to choose and it is great that you can have a good meal here for breakie or lunch or dinner.

It required deposit for big group booking and charge VAT and service fee on top. The bill was unclear and some items which had not been served were charged. The final bill was much experience than original quote. And staff returned less change. When being asked, they said they thought we wanted to pay tips. I feel like being cheated every pound and penny as a tourist. Food - nothing special

Rate the venue and view. The duck and waffle I was confused. To me was like a crispy aromatic duck that was unshredded with a waffle and syrup.

Cocktails were really nice especially the tequila variant of an old fashioned. Decor is a bit soulless, but the elevator up and down is allot of the experience in itself.

Great view of the city, very friendly service, and the food was good as well. We had the cured salmon, octopus with hummus, beef tartar, Rosemary and butter bread, date wrapped with bacon, which was the best thing! And the main was the duck and waffles of course . My personal favorite was the dates as I mentioned, then the duck and waffle as the crispiness of the duck pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the maple. Everything else was decent but my least favorite was the beef tartar.
For the food, It's really good. I walked in and got the table so fast.
The poor review is due to bad service more than food. Twice i had to chase down the waiters to refill my glass with water. What was incredibly frustrating was that we were seated right next to the waiters station with the bottles of water on it. However the waiters were to busy talking amoungst themselvers to look slightly over and see our glasses at the table empty. The funny thing was when i said to the group we shouldn't leave a tip as we are not getting service the waiters ears pricked up and they were at our side serving water...this was at the end of the night, too little to late.
Secondly they were not prompt in offering us the dessert menu. After they cleared our table we waited 15min than again had to chaise down the menu for desserts to be told that we had 10min left on our table and it would be problematic. I can understand we have a limited amount of time but in that case shouldn't you have then offered us the dessert menu earlier instead of standing at the station next to our table for 15min chatting away.
Finnaly they stuffed up our order. I won't go into the specifics but we ended up with an item we did not order. We at first sent it back only to see so much commotion taking place and after a few attempts by the waiter to try to bring it back to our table we felt coerced to accept it. Not only did we receive an item we did not order but they also upsized us on the item as well.
Then after three pretty big stuffs ups they presented the bill with the full service charge which they clearly didn't deserve. We didnt want to have another ackward conversation about it so we paid it and left.
Decent food, great views. They re pretty strict about the time limits though so do arrive on time!
