Driver's World Review

I came in on a budget not knowing where to begin with the car search, Jessica helped me find the perf car car and he next day I came back and Luke helped with finishing the process. I didn't have insurance yet but he waited patiently for me to find it and ended up bringing my car to me at work!! Then today my regristration came in and Luke , again, came to my job to put on my hard plates and give me my paper copy. This was the best first car buying experience I could have asked for.

I had a great experience at Drivers World. I spoke with Thomas over the phone who was very friendly and helpful in letting me know exactly what documents to bring in. At the location, I worked with Rigel who was very professional and made the process super easy for me. He did a great job in helping me select a vehicle that was right for me.

Amy Perkins is great please see her she is so down to earth she act more like a family member then a representative everyone I came in contact with was so helpful and nice I could tell they really cared definitely check out this company if you guys are looking for a friendly environment to purchase a car

Being a young college kid on a budget, I know nothing about cars. However, I met the greatest salesman here, Luke Sandlin! He immediately made me feel welcome and really expressed sufficient knowledge about each vehicle that I looked at. He was very understanding about how I know nothing about cars and took time out of his day to dumb down the terminology and explain to me the perks of each car. I was nervous about having somebody my age talk to me about cars, but I never felt disrespected and I am glad I stopped at Driver's World. I am very grateful for Luke's awesome skills as a salesman and I love my car even more now!

I recently went into Driver's World to look at used Audi's. The salesman Brian Wagner was very friendly and helpful even though I told him that my trade in was in Maryland. If I decide to make a buy he will be one of the people I will contact. Very pleasant experience.

Kyle Bruno just helped my husband and I get into the perfect Ford Fusion yesterday! We are expecting our fist child and needed to upgrade my 2 door Civic coupe to something a bit more family friendly; we started at Carmax and were completely disgusted with their offer on my trade as well as with the salesman we had (who actually fell asleep during our test drive and couldn't even get my husbands name right!) and decided to walk away. We went right down the street to Drivers World where Kyle helped us find the right car in our price range and offered us $3,000 more than Carmax for our civic! The entire experience was very pleasant and hassle-free! They even worked with us to fit the warranty we wanted into our payments without breaking the bank! I can't say enough good things about this establishment and all the staff. I highly recommend Drivers World!

Amazingly great experience! I was in need of a good reliable car but didn't have much to work with. Victoria took everything I threw at her and made it her mission to find me a car. She took her time and worked with the finance team to get me in a car I would love and could afford. I just needed someone to take a chance on me; Victoria and the team at Driver's World did that for me. I'm so grateful and appreciate everything they did.

Great place, helpful employees, and an atmosphere of professionalism. My only recommendation is not to use their suggested bank, NAE FCU. I have had a few issues with that bank.

Purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee. These people were very accommodating, we were a pain in the butt I am sure. I could see the look on some faces not wanting to make eye contact nor smile around the reception desk( Relax Guys it's a Big Purchase ).
It was communicated to us that these guys are good people by our sales person. We don't doubt that and we are ALSO good people. Anyhow the experience we had there overall was the best over any other dealership I had gone to before . It is much appreciated the accommodation we received even if we were a bit of a pain in the butt. Thank you so much.. Just wanted to leave this positive and honest review.

Donovan met me at the door. Immediately he made my visit comfortable. I told him I was representing someone with a small budget. He was very helpful in suggesting options and looking for vehicles I was interested in. I passed his name on and I'm interested in dealing with him when I look for another car.

Emily was very helpful. She asked us what we wanted and was very supportive in trying to find us the best deal for what we could afford.

Very strange experience. Not sure if they believed I wanted to buy a car. But they did agree to do the things I asked before I bought the car... as in oil change and inspection and getting rid of the horrific smell. I have to say that overall that is was an acceptable price according to my research although they wanted to charge me about 4% more interest rate than what my bank charged... but I called them out on it. And the pulled a classic car salesman card sayn they had a cash buyer trying to get me to pay more I'm guessing? And... (so sorry to make this so long) when I finally agreed to buy the car the man (no idea what his title was) got so irritated and kinda rude actually with me because I insisted on him fixing his mistakes and took my time to read what I was signing I almost walked out cause he made me feel pressured and uncomfortable.
But in the end I did get a good car that I am happy with... the experience just sucked!

Wow! What an experience in purchasing a vehicle. We had been to dealers and the experience at Drivers World provided by Ryan does not compare. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He walk around with us for 4 hours until we found the vehicle that met our needs. His salesmanship & wise advice helps us make a wise decision. He even bought us bottled water because there was no drinking water available due to the renovation project. A++++ to Ryan! We would certainly recommend this place and him to family & friends.

I really enjoyed my experience. I came in late after work and was greeted right way. I already had a car in mind before coming in and Everett Banks found me the car I wanted to test drive immediately. I enjoyed that he did not pressure me into other cars and explained the process of Driver's World prior to driving the vehicle. Once he realized I have a very limited time during the week to look at vehicles, he let me "demo" the car I wanted for an evening to show my husband and to discuss the purchase of the vehicle and to make sure it was a great deal. There is not negotiating of prices like going to other dealerships and they ask you "what is my price to beat." They take the lowest price on the car whether it is the online price or the price in the vehicle on the lot. They also gave me two trade in prices for my previous vehicle "the KBB price and Driver's World price." Driver's world price was $500 more than the KBB value. Everett made my first car buying experience enjoyable, instead of taking me to cars out of the price range I gave him or colors I did not like which other dealerships did. Thank you Everett Banks.

We had such a great experience buying our 2015 Kia Sorento from Demario at Driver's World. He was really patient with us when we test drove 5 SUVS and then came back the next day to test drive two of the same ones before we made our decision. He knew tons of facts about all of the vehicles we test drove. We also didn't feel pressured or awkward at all. Before we visited Driver's World we had been at Priority Toyota and said we were looking for an SUV under $20,000. The guy there didn't show us a single one under $20,000. Then we go to driver's world and they have like a dozen choices in our price range.

My Buick died on me unexpectedly after years of venerable service, and I had to get a new car quickly. I went to Drivers World after receiving several recommendations from friends; I was not disappointed. Jeffery Cannon was knowledgeable about the Drivers World (and other Checkered Flag) inventory and patient with me during my search for a new car.

I take my time with decisions such as this, and he did not pressure me to make a decision before I was ready. I really appreciate this, since I do not like getting "sold" on something. We ended up making a deal on a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. I couldn't have been happier with my decision. It had everything I wanted, which was surprising since when I started I was sure I was going to get a Toyota.

Jeffery was great to deal with, and I recommend anyone who is looking for a new car in Hampton Roads to at least stop by and have a talk with him. My only regret is that I cannot give more than 5 stars!

I am sorry to say that I will never do business with Checkered Flag again! They purchased my car just the other day. They told me it would be a smooth process. 24 hours later I received the check to which I took to my bank who had to put a 2 day hold on it because of the amount. So I took it to Checkered Flag - dealership's bank and they refused to cash the check as well. The bank did attempt to call Checkered Flag to get verification on the check but no one at Checkered Flag would authorize the amount. So now I am without a car, they have my car, title AND the money. I took the check back to the dealership asking for my car and title back and was told I would have to pay taxes, title and fees. I don't think so. I was told they would be willing to get me a rental until this was resolved. I have not heard one word from anyone and this was several days ago!!! Just a very bad experience all the way around

Awesome Experience. Went to another dealership and struggled with the trade-in value offered for our vehicle. Went to Driver's World for a 2nd offer and they gave us $2k more than C-max even though we didn't purchase a vehicle there. Doug was our salesman. Good Dude! Even though we weren't able to find a car there that we would like to buy, he never stopped caring about our experience and treating us with respect.

I came here after my car was totaled by Hurricane Mathew. I was approached by a true gentleman by the name of Jeffrey Cannon. Not only did he greet me but he offered to walk me around the lot and show me his inventory. That night I came to the conclusion that I wanted a 2014 Ford Taurus Limited. I decided to come back the next morning and finalize all the paperwork and he helped me through all the steps of the process. Clear they are competing with Carmax but need to increase inventory, come up with a better way for sales people to give the company pitch (rather than flipping through printed out slides), and do some work cleaning up the building.

This place is currently under construction and what little service I received was substandard to say the least. The Land Rover was dropped off at Priority LR VA Bch but wound up at Drivers World for service. It came out of the shop looking worse than when it went in, covered in dirt and the only service advisor I spoke with was at LR over the phone. Finally I was quoted 75 for diagnosis and I was billed 175.00

Thanks to Chris Thompson , I had the best car experience , he was able to help find the best car for myself. I would recommend him to anybody.
