Thomas themed rooms for four were too small. Staff not the friendliest nor helpful. Breakfast options were kinda boring and too fatty. For a four star hotel, no porter services to help with luggages. Cleaning services not the best. Wasnt impressed with my stay. Theme park itself was fabulous

The hotel really is lovely, light and airy, staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms look great and the bathrooms are clean and modern. The problem, is with the beds. The mattresses are so hard, neither me nor my husband barely slept a wink, despite being exhausted. Such a shame, with the addition more comfortable mattresses I would happily rate the hotel 5 stars.
Fabulous stay for our daughter s 3rd birthday. We booked a Thomas themed room and she absolutely loved it! From the Thomas bunk beds with a TV on each bunk to the train track on the carpet - everything has been thought of carefully. We ate in the restaurant on the evening and there was entertainment for children outside which she loved. The character breakfast the next morning was great - she loved meeting the fat controller and everyone singing happy birthday to her. Will definitely return once our 9 month old is old enough to enjoy the rides properly.
We have stayed here twice now and can't wait to go back again. The hotel is well maintained and very clean with staff that are very friendly. The rooms have everything you need and the decor of the hotel is amazing for thomas fans, my son loves seeing his favourite characters on the was to the room and in lobby. Cant recomended this place enough.
Clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. We stayed on the ground floor of the hotel. Hotel is in close proximity to the park but far enough that it is not noisy. Very clean hotel throughout. Brilliant breakfast service and very helpful staff. Highly recommended! We can't wait for our next stay!
We had a presentation dinner there. The food was served on very hot plates. The food presentation was good and was hot and tasted good. The chicken was not dry and tasted good. The service was good and friendly. Well done see you next year.
The family room l stayed in was as good as I expected. Clean, spacious and well maintained. No gripes there although it didn't come cheap! We went to there parklands restaurant and thought it was hugely over priced. The food was too salty More
We attended drayton Manor for our sons football presentation held in a suite opposite the hotel building. Nice, clean and fresh interior. Friendly and helpful staff. Car parking ticket stamped inside the building to omit the charges upon leaving. Very good sized rooms
this has to be the best child friendly hotel i have stayed at . the rooms were clean and have a refrigerator that you can put your own drinks in to. the staff are friendly and helpful. the restaurant in the hotel was excellent and again child friendly. so it made my stay very relaxing and must not forget about the play area at the back of the hotel which is nice for children to play as you sit and relax with a well deserved drink
No hot water for a shower, not what to expect from a 4 star hotel. We were eventually moved rooms which had a working shower. Management were faultless which really saved this from being a far worse rating. One thing I must point out. The sofabeds are horribly worn out. Missing slats, deformed, other little niggles that aren't really worthy of 4 star hotel claim. What if they let the staff stay in the vacant rooms and were encouraged to try everything in the rooms and report back. That way stuff that's broken, or not right is picked up and dealt with by people other than their customers.
Despite the weather causing the park to be closed, we had a great stay. Hotel staff and food where are very accommodating and made our stay a pleasurable one
Kids enjoyed the hotel and the park, I'm a little not confused by the relevance of the virtual queuing system, considering that currently, there are hardly any people at the park, so you don't need to queue much anyway.
If your don't fancy the rather expensive food and drink in the hotel restaurant, there are some really good food outlets within a couple of miles in both Fazeley and Tamworth. Fazeley fish bar, highly recommended.
Fantastic place to stay great staff Julie manager on shift was so super kind and nothing was to much for all the staff we seen during our short stay at the hotel
Fantastic experience even during a pandemic. Friendly staff and clear instructions and signage. The park was limited in numbers which meant we rode on everything we wanted to in the day we were there. Food in park and restaurant was of good quality. Even Thomas land shops had some great deals for souvenirs for the kids. Would very much recommend.
Family stayed for a night as part of a theme park package. Had a Thomas and Friends themed room which was done really well, kids loved it and the room was very well kept. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, evening meal at the Parklands restaurant was of a high standard and the buffet breakfast was very good. A team of entertainers were around the hotel morning and evening and had activities for kids to do. All in all, very impressed and would recommend.
Room was lovely, clean comfortable. Value for money, stay and play. Breakfast was ok, coffee wasn't the best, had to ask after sitting for quite some time. Parts were cold. But generally clean and adequate. Evening entertainment at hotel for children, which is a fab idea, chance for them to win gifts, and given certificate at the end. Had evening meal in restuarant opposite hotel (not sure of name). Food was ok, room for improvement, pizza burnt, waited for food to arrive half an hour, wouldn't normally mind, only having such young children they did become quite unsettled. Good day at park area, weather on and off but not in anyones control. Overall i would recommend hotel to family and friends.
Stayed here for the 3rd time in as many years and was brilliant. we treat our young son to a trip to Thomas Land and a stay over in the Hotel. Lovely clean rooms, Fantastic Breakfast and within walking distance to Thomas Land.
Hired Drayton Manor for a professional presentation. Events staff are very friendly and pull out all the stops throughout the setup to make sure it's successful.
The food wasn't value for money. Had to wait ages to be served and most of the items on the menu weren't available. The family duluxe room was crammed without a cot as requested, no complimentary slippers, robe, soaps or shower caps. More
Nice hotel, staff friendly and attentive. Rooms comfortable, modern and clean. Breakfast was decent if not spectacular. Our package over Feb Half term was tremendous value which included breakfast and park entrance. Children's entertainment also put on which was great at no extra cost. Recommend especially for Thomas Tank fans.
The initial reception was great, the room was excellent and what you would expect from a 4 star rated hotel however we had a fire alarm at about 2.00 am in the morning. When we reached the reception area we were met with a state of confusion, not one of the night staff appeared to know what to do. No head count, no rooms checked for people being still inside them in all it was a total shambles. Two men for whatever reason started to square up to each other and punch's thrown bearing in mind that a large number of small children were close by at the time, again staff did not call for assistance either from security or the police. Thankfully it turned out to be a false alarm for which I am most grateful however had this been a real emergency it would have turned out very differently. This is a terrific family hotel that I would have scored highly but due to the terrible lack of training in basic health and safety requirements I have to mark it accordingly.
Stayed in a Presidential room which was really nice, had a huge bed ! Bathroom had separate shower and bath with dual sinks views from room were really pretty which were the hotel grounds and could see a few Theme park rides also.
This place is great for families. We stayed over to take my son to thomas land. Rooms are clean we got a family room so we had a double bed and sofa bed in room we also had a travel cot in room. There is lots for your little ones thomas is in foyer and a carousel that your little ones can start and watch. Outside there are playgrounds for different ages only complaint would be not enough tables near playgrounds only have 2 the rest are near the bar. The restaurant and bar are modern and again very clean they have tables with tracks so you can either buy a train from shop or vending machine or rent some from reception so your little ones can play and keep themselves entertained. We got breakfast included with our room food was lovely. The park is just over the car park from hotel. Definitely would stay here again
Very slow bar staff can wait up to half an hour to get served as there all young and untrained as well as a shortage. Food quality poor, the only two cubicles in the men's toilets in the bar were out of order. we were regularly served dirty glasses with lipstick on and some of the rooms were dirty that our friends were staying in. There was never a parking spot at the hotel available, the bar had no bitter available, there was no ashtray or bin available for smokers outside. Not what you expect from a 4 star hotel!
Clean, well maintained, no frills hotel. We stopped here as part of a 'Stay & Play' package with the theme park on a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel is reasonably priced with friendly and welcoming staff.
Our only minor gripe would be the breakfast. A buffet style setup which is fine, but not the most appetising of food....scrambled egg for example tasted like hospital rehydrated stuff. And for some reason, they insist of cramming families of 4 onto the small square tables which would suit 2 diners, and yet seat couples on tables which would more comfortably accomodaye families.....this has been the case for the whole 3 years we have been visiting
