Classic New York City destination is everything you would hope it would be for the holiday season. Lots of decorations, lots of lights and of course the Rockefeller center tree takes center stage. I've been here countless times over the years and yet I always appreciate this simple formula for what it is. New York City has a magical quality about it on a normal day, but during the holidays that magic is taken to am even higher degree and Rockefeller Center is a prime example.
Although it is super crowded during christmas time (early december), its christmas spirit is fantastic, musics, lights everywhere, christmas tree is the biggest in the world...
I was happy that I almost saw the Christmas tree. They're getting it ready.
Went up in a very fast lift to the viewing platforms near the top. Absolutely fantastic views over Manhattan, including central park the empire state building and many more iconic landmarks . A must for visitors to new York!
Beautiful skating rinks, lights, tons of food and shopping options and a great spot to spend a few hours. Visit the underground shops in the path!
The art, ambience and history is amazing! You can feel the excitement in this place!
Ice skating at Christmas. Can't get any better than this! It's iconic.
I like coming here, and it is very beautiful. Lights, scent of roasted honey nuts and music. People are eager and walking quickly to see the sights on their night journey to see the events they had planned for the evening.. My only on quip is that I wish they had more handicap accommodations. Around the ice rink. Its very hard for someone with leg issues to get around, with only one elevator.
We bought a tickets to go to the roof. I never seen before something beautiful like this view. Love it!
Compare to Empire State Building and World Trade Center, I think here has the best view of Manhattan. Although the ticket is a bit higher than others, it s still worth it. You must come here if you were visiting New York. The line to get to the top was like 15-20 mins. (I visited it at the end of September) I would say sunset is the best time to be up there.
Nice place to visit during Christmas. Huge Christmas tree and awesome light show
Tourists and working folk bit this place is a definite stop for all. Lego store and Nintendo store/museum, FAO toy store and the rink ...too much. I could go but I will wait till the tree lighting......
Huge observation deck. Breathtaking view from the top. Must visit!
Always cool to see them setting up the tree. Night skating looked like fun.
Great shopping complex. Tried some good chocolate and also had a drink 65 bar..nice views.
Amazing views, of course, but it took ages to get up to the deck. Wait here, wait there, hold here, hold there... Exhausting...
Beautiful. Top of the rock is in elf the best New York city experiences
One of my favorite attractions in New York City. You got to be there to feel the energy that this place provides you.
Great shopping and restaurants around. Will probably come back with my girlfriend, now that we are serious about our relationship lol
Outstanding view, go later in the afternoon and catch the sunset!
Very good place to visit even they do not have parking spots and you need to walk from metro station to get in! It is a good historical site and you would enjoy your time there
Such a beautiful place, a must place to visit if anyone ever goes to the city. I go through there all the time just because its so gorgeous
It brought back memories of visiting with my family as a young child. It is truly magical. There were so many people, but the crowds were mostly polite and just there to create their own memories. The tree and angels were spectacular just as I remember.
We went to the bar at the Rainbow Room in celebration of our wedding anniversary. It was delightful!
My wife and I were fortunate enough to be visiting New York at the end of November. We were staying at the Lotte New York Palace in a room in their Tower and had a view of the Rockefeller Centre.
It was by chance that our visit coincided with the lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. What a show and what a beautiful tree. It was quite special watching it from our room and on the television at the same time.
The tree really is special and if you are in New York when it is up, it has to be seen. When there, also have a look at Saks window display on 5th Avenue. Stunning.
It s the Rock Center Christmas tree, perhaps the most iconic Christmas tree in the entire world! You can t miss it, you simply can t! People travel from all around the world to see it and it s because it s spectacular.
Here is the but; it s insanely busy and at the end of the day it s still just a big tree. Who cares though because Christmas is amazing and it s all worth while to see this tree!
Beautiful, you can't be Rockefeller Center. Iconic landmark, beautiful architecture, breathtaking. Summertime its a great place to work or grab something in the courtyard. Winter time stop by and watch people ice skate. Great area with coffee shops to stop by and grab a bite to eat as well.
Much better than going up the Empire State Building! If you have the extra cash, I would truly recommend the VIP ticket, it is definitely worth every penny! You get to skip basically every line and it saves you (depending on the day) massive amounts of time!
If you re visiting nyc you have to make a pit stop. Ice skating is pricey but worth the experience otherwise you can watch everyone enjoy the ice skating rink. A variety of stores aim the area but be prepared to wait in line at FAO Schwartz and Legoland. There are many good food options and restrooms in the basement level of the building do you can catch a break from the cold. Lots of visitors so take some deep breaths while navigating the crowds.
Rockefeller Center is a wonderful place to explore especially during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday get to enjoy hot chocolate and hot pretzels with mustard and roasted peanuts and all the lights and decorations and everything just looks so pretty
Some of the staff were rude. Was charged extra for a "sunset view" when you couldn't see any hint of the sun it was so foggy. . . total waste of $53. Better off going the Empire State for a good view.
Great building and surrounding area, with plenty of coffee shops, food shops etc in the lower level. walking distance to St Patrick s cathedral
Great place to visit, eat something, drink coffee, going shopping or meeting with someone special.. Recommended!
One of the iconic places in NYC. Crowded yet not one feels safe. There are benches and areas to sit and rest. Also, it is kid friendly. There is a sandbox where children can play.
Beautiful place to enjoy with family especially on Christmas eve and New Year's Eve. Although on Christmas highlights is very large the flow of people so you have to be careful especially if you are in the company of young children. But it's really worth it to eat this beautiful place.
I love it around Christmas time regardless of the crowds it s magical!
Pretty cool place. They have matching grandmas as is evidenced by the photo in Exhibit A. I saw a total of four matching grandma's, which is definitely a record. Possibly even a World record. Miami's got nothing on the Big Apple.
The Rockefeller centre occupies 2 city blocks and within it has the NBC studios ,Radio City hall , the world famous plaza and the Rock itself. We were there in early April so there was a lot of Easter decorations up but they were still skating in the Plaza, the place was buzzing and has lots of cafes and restaurants within the complex and adjoining streets .A definite must visit when in Midtown.
Great view from the top of 30 Rock. Can see the Empire State Building and the rest of Manhattan lit up at night. Also a great view of Central Park.
Take the Tour. Interesting
Love this place. It can get very crowded but a wonderful NYC experience.
One of the coolest experiences we've ever had was going to Rockafellar Center during Christmas time. The vibe in NYC during the holiday season is magical, but being at Rockefeller Center is a-whole-nother level. The Christmas tree and the nearby skate rink make you feel like you're in a movie. It's a joyous scene to behold.
Love it during Christmas here...the tree and the snow skating
Wow! This place is a really neat, historical landmark. To be able to walk through this building and tour the inside is remarkable. It's well worth your time stopping in here just to check the building out.
Been there. Done that. Off the bucket list now. An all American section of New York with lots of flags, people, and activity. Enjoy a luncheon under a tent in the restaurant or at a nearby bakery that caters to tourists. But don't miss the inside of the Comcast building where the decor and the huge wall murals are stunning!
If you are visiting NYC during the Christmas time you have to come here and see the Christmas tree and the ice skating ring. This place is beautiful and breathtaking.
First time here in the winter time. Ice rink was getting opened. They were setting up ffg or the tree lighting
Pretty cool piece of NY history, but if you are not going to the top of the rock or interested in the many stores they have it could be skipped.
Loved the hustle and bustle, lots to see and so many options for food
This is another must go if you ever go to NYC, at any season but specially for Christmas time is so beautifully decorated with its famous huge Christmas Tree, and the bottom of the Square is a ice skating ring where people of all ages can go and skate. Be prepared because it's always very crowded but it worth the visit.
If you want to see nice nyc view,it is the best place in NYC
Unfortunately, I bought a ticket for the rainy day.
Very good! The view is just great and impressive. Those who come to New York, a must-see place. Excellent view of the city.
This is probably the coolest place I've been to in New York City. Not as bad as Times Square but there are still a lot of crowds. I would recommend you visit here early during the holiday season.
Must visit specially this time of the year. Go have fun Ice skating or just watch.
Its beautiful at christmas time the tree was just wow
So many things to see and do while in this area. Lots of shops, restaurants to check out. In the winter, there is the ice skating rink and of course, the beautiful Christmas tree.
We weren't warned about the prebooking, hence we had to wait for 2 hours to get there! The museum in rockafellar is not as impressive as the one in empire state. The exit to the building is exhausting. You need to go round and round until you find the right exit.Otherwise the views from top is stunning. I could say, it's better than empire state in regards to the view from top. Enjoyed the time here !
Too crowded and disorganized to go to the top of the rock. There we're no proper identified lines. The outside line is a little bit out of caos.
Important: I went during the Christmas Season soo that's that.
We love the center - it's beautiful both during the day and at night. You can grab something to eat or just sit on a bench enjoy the view.
This is an iconic location: It is absolutely stunning during the holiday season, but it does get very crowded. Still it is worth checking out.
The area is full of life and many areas to shop around
This place was so lively. I love to travel to New York , but maybe I will wait a little while with The CoR-19 going on.
Went with our 18months old with our stroller and the staff definitely puts an extra effort to family travelling with small children/child. Come early to avoid the long lines. I suggest you buy your tickets ahead of time. The view is amazing.
It's an okayish place.
It has good Vibes, but gets very overcrowded.
Went for the view of the tree, beautiful but the crowd was crazy big!
Pretty, fun. Great for windows shopping. I haven't eaten here in years, sho I can't comment about that. Nice atmosphere to enjoy with friends.
The Rockefeller is an exciting mixture of stores and eateries. Directly in the heart of the area is an ice skating rink with an emmaculate staurcase leading down to it. With a Lego Store and Kate Spade directly by the entrance it has a little bit for everybody. The Rockefeller center is within walking distance to the NBC studios as well.
I always love visiting NYC during the holidays!! There's no other city like NYC during this time of the year!!
After watching Home Alone Lost in N.Y, this Christmas tree has been a must. It did not disappoint
Worth visiting, there's lots of stores and food below and the art deco architecture and building interior is beautiful
Smooth entry and ticketing system. The view from the top is literally breathtaking. I love it and I appreciate the people working there for their friendliness and attentiveness.
Rockefeller Center was such a neat experience. I did not hit up "The Top of the Rock", which I heard (and saw pictures) is an amazing view of the city. Walking around the property was very cool. Ice skating rink, beautiful sculptures, lots of things to see. Cool place to check out.
Great hangout...plenty of law officers that are professional and helpful.
Amazing views of the city! It's crowded but worth a visit! You can see Central Park as well as incredible views of the Empire State Building. If you are in New York you must visit this place!
Really lovely area to visit with lots of shopping and interesting places to see.
I came here in traffic and in the cold To wait over an hour to see the tree. The performances were all shown on a huge screen live. However soon as the tree was to be lit, they had a countdown and completely dropped the ball with casting it to the tv
This place is great best View in all the east & Western seaboard the Scenery is Viewtiful and the people are Great love this place.
Just eat drink people views everything was great. Amazing view and amazing light show it was so beautiful then there skiing area. It's not so big you've to wait in lines. Overall it's a good place.
Rockefeller Center is amazing.
The tree is mesmerizing and the surrounding decorations are amazing. The crowds can be challenging but that "is what it is". We also visited the Plaza on the Today Show, it was exciting seeing the Hosts and the Property Brothers. Hoda Kotb went out of her way to greet fans asking for a hug. She is so genuine!
It's cool to see that the studios are there. My family and I attended the observatory and it was awesome! I totally recommend it. You feel the city around you. The view is great and I love that it's outdoors.
Never, ever go here at Christmas time. You will be crushed and squished in ways you have never imagined. It isn't anything like the movies. Other than that, trip was freaking awesome.
this place was a real treat last weekend on a city getaway !
Top tourist central in New York City!
Home to NBC, The Today Show, The NBC Store as well as the skating rink and Christmas Tree depending on when you visit.
More people than you have ever seen in your life from all over the world.
Beautiful
Fun for the whole family
Free ice skating and much more
Must visit during Christmas and New Year period where World's largest Christmas Tree is placed with complete decoration. The whole area has an aura that words can't capture its beauty and grandeur.
What's there to say? It's a cool spot. They got restaurants all over the place. An ice rink. And shopping. The tower looks amazing at night.
The tree lighting Is a must during a holiday visit to the city. Very nostalgic.
There is nothing like Rockefeller center at Christmas time, it is completely magical!
