Located at the base of the world famous "NYC Christmas Tree" Rockefeller center is a must see/do when traveling to Manhattan. Journey to the top and experience some of the most breathtaking views of the city's skyline.
Weekday mornings, as with most NYC attractions, are the best time to go. Just check the weather, wouldn't want to be on the top of the rock in inclimate weather.
Enjoy
A great place to see. Feel the Christmas spirit with lights, sounds and the tall Christmas tree. For tourist and locals, do not miss it.

Tree was beautiful. Felt safe in a crowded city filled with tourists.
A christmas tradition. The intense business and the standstill of a busy crowd is to be expected for this time of year.
Incredible views and definitely worthwhile a visit if your in New York. Plus its next to 5th Avenue so can be done within a day out focused on other attractions.
There are three decks at the top. One has mirror walls which hinder some of the best views one can experience. But the other 2 decks are open w.r.t to views ( no obstructions ) and I find better views as compared to Empire State building
Must visit place for the holidays... Insanely wonderful and busy.
Great place for shoping, have a breakfast and lunch. Best place for take a look of central park from above. For me best to visit on the morning.
Is it really your best Christmas tree?? Not impressive.
During Christmas there's a huge Christmas tree for people to take photos. But it gets very crowded.
I would definitely recommend visiting the Rockefeller center at night. As beautiful as it was on a cold rainy day, I can only imagine what it would be like with the lights shining brightly into the night
Iconic. During Christmastime if you can brave the crowds the Christmas tree is gorgeous. Taking a minute to pause and watch the ice skaters is also something I always associate with the city.
Too busy. Too touristy. Still worth walking through if you've never been.
Great views of the city if you can go later when all the lights are on that would be a nice view. Changed the flow of exiting which was super annoying. When you get your ticket they send you put a door and don't tell you where to go. At the end they send you into the inside mall instead of back out the way you came in.
Going up the Top of the Rock was without any doubt one of the highlights of visiting NY! This building is not as iconic as the Empire State building, but the inside is absolutely stunning and majestuous, and the views from the top are equally impressive compared to the Empire State (or even better).
timeless and elegant. restrained, yet opulent. love it. always inspries me.
Iconic! Was my dream to see this epic place from the time I saw this in books and movies... wish I would see next time the giant Christmas tree during winter time.
What's not to love about the Rockefella centre. A NYC Establishment that everyone loves.
Between Thanksgivings and New years never visit.. It will be too crowded to even walk . wait till after new years and you will have the city to yourself (and the REAL new Yorkers)
Great shopping experience! It s beautiful in December with all the lights.
What a Great place to see and experience, inside and out.
Beautiful place and definitely one of those "must see in NYC"! Decorations are nice and very well put together! Christmas tree was beautiful and ice skating was fun. I recommend ice skating outside of rush hours, since there's less people, it's less expensive and service is quicker. Definitely also check out inside of Rocketfeller center, there's beautiful paintings on walls and ceilings, shops, cafe shops, places to eat and rooftop bar. Saks fifth avenue store is right next to Rockefeller center and during Christmas time they has this amazing Christmas decoration and lights with music outside. Definitely check this out as well!
Loved the tour. Guide was funny. Good history and architecture. Fantastic views of the city from the observatory on the top.
Rockefeller center is THE place to go for ice skating in the winter. You're smack-dab in the center of manhattan, lights everywhere, and its beautiful. The price racks up due to the ticket/skate rental price, but this is the great spot to skate and spend some time with loved ones.
Brilliant views of New York skyline at night. Must see
This historical landmark does not disappoint. I needed to do the quintessential American Christmas thing.
Great views at night and sunset for st Patrick's day. Hard to get good pictures without reflections but still a must do!
Very lively and lovely, amazing view at night aswell! I will definitely go there again one day
Beautiful place to take your family or significant other.
Great views of Central Park and the empire state building you are 67 floors up so if you don't like heights don't go
My Lady Maureen's first time in New York over the holidays. What a fun time!
Rich history and great food here. You might even catch a show. If its xmas time then plan to see the giant xmas tree
A absolute must for anyone visiting the city. The elevator ride alone is incredible!
It's Awesome!! Even if you don't know how to skate. If you have a few bucks to spare and even if you don't start saving now. Grab a pair of skates, hold on to the sides and give it a whirl!!! It's a great positive lifetime memory!!!
Went here after watching the rocketts!! Rockefeller is truly an amazing location. Very beautiful and tons to see. Not usually into tourist places, but when you re there is just breathtaking. My photos doesn t give it justice. It s a must see, especially during the holidays. It snow while we were there and some got engaged, as well. Just beautiful!
We went the weekend before Thanksgiving 2019. While the tree was scaffold'ed it was still spectacular to see the sheer size of the tree and how they have to decorate it! Great time.
Nice place to visit as a New Yorker and even for a tourist. Ice Skating rink in the winter season and outdoor restaurant by Summer. I have Ice skated here before, the rink isn't so big. I have not experienced the restaurant during summer season so I will refrain from reviewing it til further notice. Overall i'd recommend this place.
Subjectively the best observatory in nyc. Great view on Central Park and midtown skyscrapers.
I visited observation deck, amazing place to see midtown Manhattan skyline. Here you can see very well Central Park and Empire state building. After you pay the ticket you can stay how much you want.
I love Rockefeller center a must see especially during Christmas time
Very friendly crowd, everyone respectful. A man proposed on a knee and she said yes. The crowd roared with love and best wishes. Magical moment.
Extremely packed most of the time, usually a little less during summer in the early afternoon. Iconic place-- lives up to the hype. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Great place for photos. Iconic architecture and sculpture. A must-visit in the Fall.
If you visit NYC during the holidays, you must see the Christmas tree. It s amazing when you are there in person. The area is mostly crowded at night and best viewing is during the evening. Once you are there, you will definitely be in the Christmas spirit.
Beautiful, holidays season is the most beautiful time to go, just be aware of the crowd of people!
Everyone was happy and filled with joy, it must have been the season, Christmas and New Year,
1 to 2 blocks in all direction from the tree was like walking through a sold out concert during everyone favorite song, but well worth the experience with all the sounds and views of all the massive holiday decorations during the month of December
As you would expect, fantastic views over the New York skyline from the observation platform at the top of the rock.
Rockefeller Center is especially beautiful during the holidays.
With its festive decorations, and its outdoor ice skating just off one of its entrances, surrounded by additional buildings, it stands out among the many historical buildings in Manhattan.
The building also features an observatory deck that offers its unique view of Manhattan with the Empire State Building in its horizon, and a great view of Central Park as well.
Also worth noting that The Rockefeller Center features a real tree used as their annual Christmas tree. As of my last visit, the tree was yet not decorated but Sat inside it's own scaffolding for the decorators. The tree itself is very tall and very large.
Overall, The Rockefeller Center is worth a visit among the many sites of NYC.
It's a nice addition to dr as w one's attention to but , certainly not the cat's meow to me. The rink is so tiny. Folks could barely skate around. I saw sever as l people just standing around just shuffling there feet. Only a few little kids could pick up a momentum.
Always love visiting this area of NYC when in the city, especially at Christmas time.
They're busy putting up Christmas/holiday decorations.
Nice place for visit, specially, when you'll appreciate the Prometheus sculpture
Another great place to visit whether it's daytime or night, lots to see and do plus the atmosphere of being there.
Must visit place around Christmas, if you like architecture a place to go when you are in new york city , if not I would skip on a trip to nyc . But if you are from around definitely check it out
Visited here on my tour of New York, you get positive vibes when you visit this place and the people here. Loved my experience.
One of my favorite spots in Manhattan. Be it summertime or winter, great views and decorations. There is a lot of seating around for you to sit down and watch some amazing views. There is a Lego store as well for kids and adults to enjoy. Get tickets to go to the top of the tower and admire the stunning views. Christmas tree is the largest one ever and always beautifully decorated. Got to see gorgeous decor and Angels as part of the Christmas lights and decor. There is ice skating in winter which is amazing. A photographer's dream which is why I always have my DSLR camera ready when I visit. Must add to your list!
What could be better than Rockefeller Center at Christmas? Don t miss... On second thought, don t go so I can enjoy it more with less crowds :-)
What's not to like! We went mid-day on a Friday not overly busy. Still a spectacular sight no matter what your age.
One of the most Magical places in NYC!! I recommend anyone to experience ice skating in Rockefeller Center because you re surrounded by so many tall and beautiful buildings. It s an experience like no other. It could certainly get expensive but it s worth it!
Went at night so we could see the city lights. Upper deck closed due to high winds so we could only go to 67th floor. Great views only slightly hampered by the 10ft tall plexiglass partitions. Friendly staff.
Cool building and skating rink outside. Pricey to go to the top of the building for pictures, and can get crowded so plan to wait for decent shots of the city. Boutique stores on the ground level, though the building is right off 5th Ave. Must see when visiting NCY.
One of my childhood favorite places, always nice to go back
Was here more than a decade ago. Still is fresh in my memories. That Christmas tree, skating ring and of course the statue. This place comes alive especially in the evenings when the lights are on all around and the snowfall just made it amazing
Gorgeous! I loved hearing all about the building if it during the top of the rock your. I recommend visiting and doing top of the rock for history and views.
A beautiful location which is rightfully one of New York s best locations. Considering the popularity of the location, there aren t too many people there. There are many retail options, including Starbucks, Amazon GO, and LEGO. Some of the facilities can be crowded at times, such as the Top of the Rock Observatory, the LEGO Store, and the ice rink (depending on the season, of course). Definitely a must-see in the City.
Rock center Christmas tree. Not to crowded. It's raining. Still goodnight
Tourist spot YES, but still a great spot - especially for people watching.
This activity is very well organised. If you buy an advanced beat the queue ticket, you just turn up at your allocated time, not before!! and skip the queue. Once inside there is a photo opportunity and then you are grouped before you access the lift which is amazing. Get your cameras out, it's going to be a hairy ride! The views are simply amazing. You can access the views on 4 sides and climb stairs to the highest level. Generally people move around so you can find a space and a clear view. We went around dusk so we saw the view in the daylight, at twilight and in darkness. This is the popular time of the day so it was busy. If you want to guarantee twilight, then you need to book. You can stay as long as you want too
I didn't get to see it all and look forward to visiting again!! So much to see and do. There were huge crowds, so be patient and kind. A smile and compliment goes a long way when you're in a crowd; it always lifts my spirits to share them.
Skip this if you dont like crowds. Always fun for my family.
We love this place ,specially when you come here in Christmas time. You can see beautiful christmas tree also people who do ice skating. Also great places to shop and eat.
Better views than empire State building. Don't forget to visit the upper decks once you reach the top. Go before sunset and stay an hour after sunset to enjoy both the day and night view of the New York's skyline.
Amazing place to enjoy the skyline of nez York City
It has 360 view of the city with little cafeteria
They have two types of tickets
1. Day time 40$
2. Sunset time 55$
Rockefeller Center is, in my opinion, one of the nicest places in New York. It has shops, restaurants, and plenty of placs to take some great pics.
Lots to see and super busy but definitely worth the trip. The plaza has lots to see outdoors and of course Top of the Rock Observatory is a must see. Enter the observatory from 50th street and be prepared for long wait times.
This is a nice place, you must visit. Nice gardens, shops, and restaurants. If you don't like to shop, you can sit around and relax.
As always during the holidays Rockefeller Always makes the moment bright.
The entry is a bit pricy, but the views are worth it - 360 degree views including empire state building and central park. There are multiple levels to look down from, one without protection glass, so many opportunities to take nice pictures. Expect crowds, though.
During winter, there's a ice skating ring which looks very beautiful during night
