Beautiful decorations, very crowded but worth the wait
It's worth braving the crowds.. the picture opportunities are incredible as are the decorations and lights on the surrounding buildings of course the Rockefeller center tree and ice skating rink are great backdrop. Be sure to explore the store Windows as they are artistic creations that must be seen to be believed. Char subway stations nearby. Some of the streets are closed to do traffic which makes it nice to walk around. FAO schwarz is right down the street.
It's pretty, I suppose. If you like crowds and lots of very unhappy people.
Does Rockefeller Center really need a review?! Ever since I was a child I've visited during Christmas time. Place is really magical!
The area is safely guarded by New York's finest and the stores are amazing!!
Yep! She's a big building...it's in the photo somewhere. I was gonna get some tickets to go up to the viewing deck but couldn't until 4 hours after purchase. I went down the road to a lesser known building with 4 floors, looked out the window and saw Raymond Burr acting peculiar like. He MADE Ironside.
Got robbed in Times Square, but this place was pretty cool
Went to the top of the Rock and the view was truly spectacular!!!!! Will do it again when I have a chance.
Was here for the tree lighting, and it was nuts but well worth the wait. My dream to see the tree and it was fulfilled!
We visited Rockefeller Center on the weekend before Christmas and it was everything that we hoped for. Of course the crowds were very heavy but everyone was in a cheery Christmas mood. We got lost on our way and people were very helpful to get us back on track.
Beautiful during Christmas and New year's holiday but over crowded.
Way too many people in the area. It makes sense, though. Tree looks wonderful. There's a light show that goes on every few minutes and that's spectacular!
Such an interesting an iconic place. Always wanted to see this place with the Christmas tree lit up but it was still really cool to see in the beginning of October. Lots of underground shops as well. Public bathrooms are located here underground as well.
My favorite tower/view platform in New York. Because of the amazing view at the Empire State Building and the Central Park. Worth every penny.
Always packed when the tree is up. The tree is impressive, but not much to see during the day since its only lights. Haven't ice skated here, lines are super long and prices are high. Its a great holiday experience though.
Shopping eating people watching and the best coffee at Blue Bottle coffee bar. The art deco buildings are beautiful and still appear very modern. Love this place.
Top of the rock is top of the view points I. My opinion. Arrive 2 hours before sun set to get day duck and night time views
Great view, second best after Empire State Building!
So much history here. The architecture is amazing not to mention all the works of art. A must see
For all the Southern Guys: leave the hunting knife outside the building, saves time on an awkward situation.... that ended in laughs and a part on the back from the head of security.
AMAZING place, every time we come here it looks different, like a different theme, great place to stop and relax in the city, you are surrounded by LEGO, Nintendo, FAO Schwartz(new) and many other nice stores, every morning the news are broadcast and you can watch live, the restaurants here are nice but very very very expensive
The tour is good and very informative and the views from the top are great if you can push through the crowds! Go at dusk to watch New York come alive with colour!
Beautiful building food courts on the bottom floor
Blue bottle cafe
And lots of shops
This was a very beautiful and magical place to be on Christmas night! The huge Christmas tree and all the decorations were breathtaking. Their was so many people every where, it would be easy to get lost in the huge crowd of people. Everyone seemed to be content and happy to be there. This is definitely a 5 star place. I recommend going here if you ever have the opportunity .
It is always so beautiful. During the Christmas holidays it has brought joy to many families seeing the tree and the macys lights show. I love it.
So much stories and every year is better . U gotta go ice-skating on the Rockefeller , also u get beautiful pics . Just look at this pictures . I NY
Wonderful experience during Christmas time. Everyone be were at their best behavior.
The historical significance of this place can't be overstated. One before you go here watch the documentary the men who built America. It will give u a better perspective for why this place exist. Two be prepared to see someone famous . My friend ended up see a Baldwin when we were there. Oh read the placard of Rockefeller beliefs and laugh at the hypocritical statements
Had a fantastic Brooklyn Gin martini at Bar Sixty Five. Well worth the wait and cost.
I love this place. Recommend going at night since the views are nicer (go to One World Trade if you want a daytime experience). They also offer military discounts as long as you have your ID with you (for both active military and veterans).
Fun place to visit and a must see for any visitor. There's more than just the plaza and ice skating rink as there is a whole mall underground and stores all around the area. Lots of things to see and do in the area so be sure to explore!
Very neat place. 3 levels for viewing, so never really felt crowded. Was kind of chilly up at the top but we were protected from the winds by large panes of glass which did not inhibit photos much at all
It was an amazing experience, yet pricy. If you in the city and it's a good weather - a must visit place!!!
Very pretty around Christmas time with the decorations.
A must see in New York especially in autumn or winter. It's beautiful
I love rock plaza. The tree. The people. The ice skating rink. Especially the buildings. Absolutely fantastic.
Great place got lost downstairs in the plazza oops great views from the top plus we saw a proposal which made my wife's night
Awesome experience! Loved the view from The Top of The Rock. The entire Plaza is beautifully decorated!
Fulfilled my "Bucket List". Macy's Parade and NYC....
MAGICAL. Being a new Yorker this was my first time in a few years I actually went here. Even the huge amount of out of Towners and maze of getting from the subway to the plaza can't take away the thrill of the experience. The Christmas Tree looked a little funny imo, but people having absolute fun in the ice rink, skating to New York music and the Saks show takes your breath away.
A bit like being an extra in a film. Urban cool beautiful at night. Window shopped at the KEGO store. Here s their vision/version of RC and skating rink.
My goodness. This is a busy and amazing place. Beers are a tad expensive compared to nearby places, so you are paying for the ambience. That's fine. Sit at the bar in the centre for a few minutes before going to Radio City Music Hall ( which we did), or just soak it all up.
Nice area to explore, but it's overrun with tourists. There's no way I'd spend more than an hour around here, but it's cool to check out the sites and NBC stuff. We missed the Today show as we got there about 9 am, so if that's important to you, get your butt up early.
This was a experience after the holiday super pack overall kept Me In the holiday spirit
Lovely place . Whenever I go to New York I visit this place
Absolutely worth the work to get to see all the sights at Rockefeller center. Be ready as it is crowded but worth it. We got lucky and there was a rainy night while we were there and very few people were out.
Was there the night before the tree lighting and the night following the tree lighting. It was much busier after the tree lighting but not crazy like it would have been for the big event. Convenient to subway lines B-D-F-M.
Rockefeller Center is amazing during November because you can see the construction of the christmas tree and i went during the veterans day, so there were so many american flags all over the center.
You are really close to NBC studios and to the main church of New York.
Amazing place.
My sister, niece and I went to their Christmas spectacular for the holidays. Boy, was it fun!!! The special effects were amazing. The whole stage came to life. The Rockets were outstandingly synchronized and entertaining but my personal favorite was the falling soldiers. All in all a great show. Talk about capturing the holidays spirit, Kudos!
The queues move quickly and the view is amazing from every level. The staff are very friendly and efficient.
Great place to ice skate. Gorgeous view over Central park. And my favourite part is that Jimmy fallon show is being produced there I am such a fan.
Amazing place in any time.of the year, must visit place if you are in NYC
Great site!! Beatiful picture for new york. Is not cheap but is the experience you need live.
Splendid Christmas trees and light shows. Very crowded on holidays.
Nice place I went here during the christmas tree was up. It was super crowded but fun.
Rockefeller Center is definitely somewhere you want to stop when visiting NYC as well as locals! We stop there many times just to chill out, dine, have coffee, shop, or skate! It's great during every season. There is,never a bad time to visit!
Restroom available location perfect for family and friends to meet. Skates are offered for a fee. Ice is kept clean and hard. Interesting place to spend time on vacation. Coffee availability
Great place to go see the Christmas Tree. Go early in the morning to avoid the crowd.
Born and raised in NYC and I still can't get enough of coming here. I love it and I hope everyone else does too
Amazing view and to just have been there, the whole experience is well worth it
Ever seen a tree? Well, this is a big one. Plus knock-off Elmo and tour groups from Racine, Wisconsin and Kankakee, Illinois. Worth the price of admission though, but only because it s free. Bah, humbug.
Because of the pandemic, it was almost empty nice to take pictures and relax
Big colorful tree , but whole lot of people. Like a lot . Really. If you are not big fan of huge crowds, or just don t like people- don t go there
Short people may not survive after 4pm , because everyone trying to step on you
It has been my dream to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree it was just hauled in the night before I was there. It was also nice that for Veterans Day they put up American flags all around the ice rink to help honor the veterans. I never knew that ice rink was that small, it always seem bigger on TV.
Went to see Christmas tree decorations. Was pretty crowded but that was expected. Lively place with good security.
It's an interesting place to visit in NYC as a tourist, you can snap a few photos of the seasonal decorations. It's nice to observe or participate on the ice rink, and there are enough food trucks nearby to satisfy any palate. It's definitely a tourist destination, worth putting on the list.
Place is great to check out if visiting from out of town. Heavy police activity during holidays
I didn't go at the top of the Rockefeller, as many of my colleagues told me WTC has much better view. However i just made a quick visit and there is nothing much to see around it. There is a very old church close to it with amazing structure. You can hardly spend 15-20 minutes here.
The sights from the top are just beautiful, the price, $40, is well worth it considering the lasting memory of New York that you'll see, and the photos are pretty great too
One of the most iconic place in New York, every one comes here for the Christmas tree and the ice skating rink besides places like St Patrick's cathedral and the atlas statue are all located on the same location
A must see at Christmas time in NYC!!! The lights and sounds is an experience everyone should go and see! Great time and as crowded as it was it was very enjoyable.
It's nice, just a little crowded. The ice rink is amazing! Perfect for holiday cards, and a festive day
Nice older art Deco Building. Enjoyed the walking tour.
Loved visiting this spot in NYC and spotting my flags. Such a great experience and highly recommend going during the winter time cause of the ice skating.
Spectacular amazing views! Don t miss this landmark while in NYC. You ll see the entire city here! Lots of shopping and the skating ring is the wow to your NY experience!
Excellent, from shopping, dining, skating and the most famous Christmas tree. Top of the Rock is my favorite observation deck with a beautiful backdrop of the Empire State Building. Rockefeller Center is an icon in NYC.
Such a nice view. Some people say it s better than the Empire State Building. And they are right!
Busy place during the holidays, but still a must see if in NYC.
The view from 'the top of the rock' is awesome but for an elevator ride quite expensive.. But still worth it!
Views over New York are amazing, a must do adventure
