Great place to see where some of Americas morning ...
Great place to see where some of Americas morning shows are filmed.
Great place to see where some of Americas morning shows are filmed.
every year agsin and it's allways a nice experience. if you are able to ignore the mass of people it can be a really really nice experience ...
If you're in New York City you should add Rockefeller center to your site seeing list. The subway takes you straight to the mall which provides a great shopping trip. The center itself is a great place to sit and watch the bustling of people.
Beautiful area to walk around and pop into shops as you are exploring NYC. There is a small garden and seating so you can relax and admire the skyscraper.
Tree is a combination of several put together as one.
If you want to go up to the Top of the Rock at a specific time, go early and get tickets for that time, otherwise you might have to wait until later. If you're trying to go at sunset, go on a weekday or something. A lot of people get earlier tickets and then just stay up at the top until sunset and it gets so crowded it's hard to move around comfortably up there, let alone take pictures. The square below is charming, but getting down to the statue by the fountain is tricky. You have get a table at the restaurant down there or you can't get down the stairs even. The food at that restaurant isn't great either, so go to the bar, which let's you down the stairs, get a drink and wander to the statue for a quick picture.
So much to do in a small area. Don't be discouraged about the Today Show line, it's long if you arrive at 6:30. Everyone goes through metal detectors. Line forms on the back side of the studio.
New tower is breathtaking and monument is very moving.
A must see for tourists, I avoid the place since I am a local. But all my guests enjoy looking around. And going to the top of the rock is way better than the empire state building. You feel like you're in the middle of the skyline rather than looking down at it.
Thousands of people enjoying the gigantic Christmas tree on Christmas day. What's not to love?
Great views over the city for sunset, we went up around an hour before sunset to ensure we got a space for photos, ensure you although enough time as it started getting busy.
First time in New York with a mother son trip and it was AMAZING!!! We went at Christmas time and it was beautiful. The huge Christmas tree, ice skating, shopping and hot coco, you can't go wrong
It was really fun ice skating there and it was also really pretty.
Good Spot if you want to eat, talk,do work and chill.
Definitely a must visit during the holiday season for the lights, the Saks 5th Ave display, and the Rink!
Great observatory point worth every single penny.. great for photographers and not only
Lovely place if your ankles are up for it after all the walking.
The restaurant it's amazing the view is spectacular very happy we will go back again..
Love the symbolism that impregnates this space, it's pursuit for nobility, endurance and greatness. Entered the toy store and saw how families were enjoying magic tricks performed by employees. This city feels like home at summer time.
Historical Landmark! You must see the tree at Rockerfeller Center & one of a kind experience!
Who doesn t love this tree??!! What an awesome atmosphere. Late afternoon is a great time to walk around.
Massive complex including many shops, eateries and the all important TOP OF THE ROCK!
One to add to your list of New York places to visit, even if just to use the bathroom. Try eating downstairs as food is good.
Great set up for Christmas but there were like 2 million people here. Very busy.
Great views from all sides...well worth the time to visit this location!
I can say I've been here now but the ice skating racket is a mess. Get in line, overpay and then you get just a few moments on the tiny rink. I will say, if you are going to do it, go VIP, it'll get you there faster but with less money in your account. Have fun!
Great place for shopping! Also has a variety of food places to choose from, to cater to everyone's taste.
I love that even the statues are wearing masks! There is also outdoor dining available!
Love the atmosphere around Christmas time! A must see in NYC if you re visiting during the holiday season.
This is a great place to have a lot of dining options, fun, walk or just relax and chat on the bench? Rockefeller Plaza is the answer to these.
What a view of the city, highly recommended, the queue moved quickly so from getting in to being at the top took only 15 min, can imagine at peak times will take much longer but definitely worth the wait.
Remarkable interiour, astonishing architecture. Impressive Art Deco on all houses of the center. The mural at the exit of the main tower is beautiful and educational. Just one of NYC's magic places, though nearly always very crowded.
An unforgettable place , you'll never get tired of visiting the area on Christmas times. So beautiful every year .Proud to live in New York.
A favorite spot for tourists. When in NYC my son pays a visit to the Nintendo store. My daughter discovered the F.A.O. Schwartz store. It was definitely fun to walk the whole store. New to us were the ample sitting areas for the tourists to rest their aching feet.
Always a gorgeous site to behold. The ice rink, flags, ample bench seating and large pedestrian area to play tourist. Winter changes the whole area into a seasonal kind of "dont miss site" complete with the Christmas tree of Rockefeller Center and holiday decorations galore. This fall it was all decorated with seasonal fare including pumpkin carving station.
If you're going to NY this is pretty much the best roof you can go to. Forget going up the Empire State - you'll get much better view here and you have the added bonus of being able to see the Empire State lit up at night. You can also see Central Park easily, and the Statue of Liberty in the far distance.
Be warned - the queues are long and it gets very busy at night. If you go at sunset it'll be pretty packed, but it's definitely worth it for the view.
Great place with a lot to see. Especially around Christmas.
Absolute NY icon, and must see at Christmas time. It is lovely with all the lights and decorations. We were a touch early to see the tree lit, but it was still impressive. The crowds are huge and that can be obnoxious, but it is worth it to see the plaza fully decorated. It is easy to go from here to see the decorations on 5th Ave as well. Definitely an entertaining diversion in NYC for the holidays.
A place where everyone should go to once in your lifetime. A memorable place, yes. A fun place, absolutely. Make it a staple in your New York City trip.
During this covid time the Rockefeller center has turned there outdoor space into bench seating and it is great. Unlike the old days it's actually not packed with people.
On weekends you can even get other half beer from there pop-up van. Along with some food vendors.
Tables are large so you might end up sharing with some randomers but it's so quiet it's unlikely.
On a nice sunny day it's well worth a visit.
Super crowded of course. But if you dont mind the massive waves of humans and crowded sidewalks. Then its nice to take a trip down to the tree. This winter has not felt like Christmas spirit, but once I saw the light show and the Christmas decorations and the gigantic Christmas tree. It made me excited for this years Christmas.
Beautiful space that feels international. It s reinforced with the show-casings of the international flags.
The ice skating arena is beautiful. It is about chillier there than usual so grab a light jacket with if you will be there for long.
Just in front, there are benches for you to sit and eat from any of the eateries there. Great atmosphere, vibey and truly inviting.
We visited the Top of the rock by night, the logistic is well managed to access. If you have the opportunity, I'll recommend to go just before the sunset in order to experience boths, day and night view.
Only some. Additional information about the building history and the city may be useful as o ve you're on the top there is nothing else but the view.
Great views from the rock plus great shopping Dean & Bernadette Oxfordshire England
Beautiful art deco building with a large restaurant at the bottom and a nice place to eat.
I love shopping around Rockefeller Center and visiting it in December when it's decorated for Christmas. It's a nostalgic thing for many who grew up in the NY area
Great architecture! Fun watching the skaters on the rink. So much to see there. St Pat's Cathedral is exquisite.
Nice to visit during Christmas to see the biggest Christmas tree!
We visited during Christmas Time and it was such a beautifu site. As soon as you walk onto the property you feel the spirit of Christmas, I am not sure if it's the name or what. It's such an icon of New York City. Definitely, a site to see during any season, but if you are in NYC during the holidays be sure to stop by.
I have been going to see the tree for years. Again, we went this year. Yes, it is absolutely crowded and people do not know how to walk and eliminate traffic but it is so worth it. Definitely brings out the holiday spirit.
The view up in the tower is really amazing. Visiting here in the winter is even better because of the Christmas tree. Especially, there are many delicious restaurants and cafes around here too.
A magical place to visit during the holidays. When observing the magnificent tree, notice the people at the base! The size is astounding! Thousands of people visit this site daily -- move slowly and enjoy the happy atmosphere.
Stunning place, usually too crowded so it is hard move but definitely will enjoy the christmas decorations. Also you are able to take roof top if you pay and you can enjoy the view of whole City, it might be a wonderful.
Way too crowded during the holidays. Was stuck in a giant crowd for 30 minutes and could not move. Very uncomfortable. Will skip next year.
Go on a guided tour. You will learn about the very unique history and appreciate it so much more. Awesome place.
A magical place in my heart. My Father was a top lighting engineer for NBC Studios and met my Mother at Radio City Hall. I spent many years visiting this building and am glad to be able to visit again! Beautiful views and wonderful service at the Rainbow Room!
Touristy, duh. That's the reason for the place. Easy to navigate. And again common theme in NYC despite reputation, very friendly and helpful staff.
We visit the place in Christmas night and it was really crowded however it was really beautiful and shining. Please be aware that the food carts around there are over priced and the quality is not that good compare to other food.
Good crowd control. Able to get in and get out with a decent picture.
The colors is Amazing. Midnight Night time was great time to visit here.
Magical place in the winter, ice skating and wonderful scenery.
It's Rockefeller Center!!! We were delighted to see, again, the "bad or rude reputation" New Yorkers have is totally a myth! Every time I go to NYC, every New Yorker I've encountered had been delightful, helpful, welcoming and gave us inside scopes on how and where to get around their beloved city. Even the business professionals, clearly in a hurry to get around the tourist gawking at the famous tree, when polite about dodging around us. At Rockefeller Center & at several of the other buildings around this block, the doormen showed us how to cut through lobbies to stay out of the weather and pop out closer to our destinations. Also around Rockefeller Center, the Radio City Musical crowd movers where friendly, extremely professional, welcoming and fun as they moved 6,000 people per show into the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular.
360 view day and night ! ! ! The perfect spot for photos...
The best time to visit the place would be on snowy day before Christmas
I made it here for Christmas Eve. Accept the crowds and slow moving, but I promise you can get to where you are going to if you plan for it. Seeing the tree was a bucket list item. I heard 5 different languages from people me and loved knowing I was in a place where people from all over were joining in the same amazement I was experiencing. You can see some cool store fronts too! A must see ant time of year, but especially during Christmas.
Awesome atmosphere around although got late to go to the top deck
Great atmosphere but family. It can grt really crowded thought it Xmas time.
It s super cliche and touristy to go here but you simply must. I d say avoid the super hot times of the day as it gets very warm (but obviously if it s the winter then you ll be fine).
Great photo spots and it s not nearly as crowded as you d think once you re up at the very top level!
Awesome time at Christmas time, of course it's busy but so what. Great time!
I loved seeing the gold and silver flags flying, the people skating, the decorated but unlit tree and getting close enough to see everything since the crowds were manageable.
We took pictures of the elegant tree. We watched the skaters. We had some great hot beverages. Great place to take children. It's a must see.
Beautiful and breath taking. Especially in the night.
Clean and satisfying area. Always brings up joy during the holiday season. People are always filled with smiles even when it s not winter.
Busy busy... but the chocolate store on the main level was great!!
Beautiful Rockefeller Center!! Do not attempt to drive, uber or cab it! Walking is the best way to get around this area. It's very crowded during Christmas season
The great area of New York City iconic with all the buildings that you've seen in movies.

Rockefeller Center is a large complex consisting of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres (89,000 m2) between 48th and 51st Streets, facing Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The 14 original Art Deco buildings, commissioned by the Rockefeller family, span the area between 5th and 6th Avenues, split by a large sunken square and a private street called Rockefeller Plaza. Five International Style buildings, built later, are located on the west side of Sixth Avenue and at the north end of Rockefeller Plaza.
Described as one of the greatest projects of the Great Depression era, Rockefeller Center was declared a New York City landmark in 1985 and a National Historic Landmark in 1987. It is noted for the large quantities of art present in almost all of its Art Deco buildings, as well as its Radio City section and its ice-skating rink. The complex is also famous for its annual lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.
Travelers say the Top of the Rock offers some of the best views of Manhattan and say the experience is worth every penny. Visitors recommend booking the combo ticket that includes a tour of the building and the observation deck access. For my part, I bought a CityPass to skip the queues, and the view is really worth it ! see below (and please add a like to this review )
Would recommend going at night the lights of the city at night are class
Cool place. They had an act called River Dancers. Savannah Guthrie is awesome!!! She interacts with the crowd and has selfies with them.
Cool experience. Have been here many times when they have the Christmas tree lit up. Great place to take the kids if you don't mind crowds. They have ice skating available through April. If you're from out of town and want to experience New York then you have to come here.
There's just sooooooooooooo many people.. sigh.. hard ro get thru with a young child
Nice views of New York City! You can take nice photos of the Empire building from here.
Really nice place, If you are not a people person, avoid visiting during xmas or holidays
