Doubletree World Arena-Colorado Springs, CO. Review

Had my 36th All year High School Reunion, and the staff was great and the food excellent.

After calling the local number of the hotel, I had to press 1 about ten times before finally getting a real person - at a call center in India! After slogging through the foreign rep s interrogation (give me your name, email, Hilton rewards number, etc.) I couldn t get an answer to my basic question. Finally I was transferred to the local hotel, where a totally inhospitable woman robotically read scripts at me and had no interest in helping my travel plan. This is a bad company.

Great food catered by their staff, the venue was plenty spacious and clean. Bartender staff made great drinks. Definitely a good site for large party events.

My husband had his company Christmas party at the hotel. I don't remember the name of the room. Great food, staff and bar tender.

Womens Chamber event. The updates inside are beautiful. The food was GREAT!

Comfortable accommodations, really good food, technical support for the presenters was timely and courteous.

Attended an awards ceremony and the servers were very professional and prompt. The bar food was nice and the overall service level was fairly high!

Fabulous, The only place around that is still playing Christmas music into the new year. Reminds us of Banff and Calgary in Canada where they still play Christmas music into the new year. I hate it when people cut that off so quick. They had wonderful cream in a pitcher next to the oatmeal how terrific!! Coffee was lukewarm in the pot but we can forgive that.

Excellence all the way! From the front desk employees to the management. We had wine at the bar, extremely nice server. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was perfect on both food and service. We also checked out the hot tub and pool, good temp on the water. Our room was so comfortable, clean also a nice touch was the refrigerator in the room.

Over all the experience at the hotel was amazing, I just wish the information about event location was better known by employees

Very clean and we'll maintained location. While I was visiting I even saw an employee taking care of the plants outside. The event I attended was set up and taken down by the hotel and looked very professional and organized.

The DoubleTree is a nice place to stay. Love those DT cookies.

Really unfair to review the hotel at this time. Tons of construction. No bar. No restaurant. But... Great location for eats and drinks. Shopping and entertainment. The stay was very good. The security staff was also quite rude and unprofessional. Could be the difference of if our group will come back. I hope so. Last but not least.... Them cookies are to die for.

Attended a professional catered lunch here. The banquet room was nice and clean. Food was typical hotel food: bland and lukewarm.

Great hotel with wonderful staff members, front desk as well as the behind-the-scenes personnel were all very competent and friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean and welcoming with all of the amenities you would expect at a high end hotel. The fitness center is top flight when compared to most hotel fitness centers. The pool is indoors clean and nice sized.

Group I am with rented the huge ballroom and we cannot get free Wi-Fi.

I did not say here. I was an exhibitor at a conference. What I could see of common areas everything is kept up very well.

Had Christmas dinner here. Was quiet and the food, wine and service were great. Julie waited on us and was friendly and accommodating. Was a memorable experience.

Good stay. Room was loud at times, but that was to be expected in a hotel that close to the interstate.

The chocolate martini is rimmed with cookie sprinkles!

The Class was very Education and was just out of my reach.

Was told the place was renovated including the rooms . The lobby was renovated but the rooms were below average and fairly dated for hilton standards.

We were moved to another room hoping for improvement as the last room bathroom smelled or urine but we only ended up with the smell gone but bedroom exact duplicate. so no renovation to rooms in my opinion.

The Hotel and staff were very nice. The room was nice. But very disappointed that a microwave,fridge and internet in the room is ten bucks each. I paid $134.00 plus tax! These things should be included. Even cheap motels and average hotels have a microwave,fridge and internet. Also there was no vent fan in the bathroom. I will never stay here again.

Not really fair to rape them, as they were undergoing remodeling. However this is a great place to stay, and easy on and easy off of I-25!

Hotel is a little dated. They are currently doing some renovations and it is definitely needed at the price per night for a room.

Very nice, stylish hotel with some of the friendliest staff we've ever encountered. It's conveniently located to entertainment, shopping, coffee and restaurants. We will definitely be staying here again!!

Really great stay and exceptionally clean. Jasmine was so friendly and awesome. Diamond members definitely are treated very well here too.

Gym is better,location is very good,will visit again.

I was not exactly impressed. I always try to stick with chain hotels because I expect consistency but this hotel was pretty misleading. The pictures make it look amazing but when you arrive the building is old and the area is weird. The staff was nice. The room was old and the bathroom looked dirty. I am disappointed that I spent nearly $160 on this room. I would not choose this hotel. It s not horrible but for the price you surely can find something much better.

Went for a day trip to 7 falls with the grandkids and decided to make it a weekend so we found this hotel last min. It was very nice, we were very suprised that we found such a nice place for a reasonable rate on the spur of the moment. The rooms are pretty large with desks, a large dresser, a chaise lounge chair and ottoman, a large closet, and a vanity area separate from the bathroom. The beds were wonderful, they were very comfortable memory foam mattresses. The bathroom was very nice, with alot of extra amenities that we were thankful for since we didn't bring anything with us, they had razor and shaving cream, vanity kit, sewing kit, shower cap, mouthwash and all the usual soaps and shampoos etc. Then there was balconies with a sliding glass door and enough room for a few people to stand out there with a beautiful view of the mountains and the stars at night.
There is a large restaurant in the middle of this very large hotel and plunty of entrances that you need a room card to get into for security and elevators throughout so you don't have to walk far.
There was a nice indoor pool, and gym.
I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

The DoubleTree is a great place to attend a convention or other event. The updated decor was pleasing.

A hotel that s been making constant improvements in the last few years. Great facility, friendly staff, and a great breakfast!

It held my school prom the past two years and it was amazing

Excellent food and service. We had a breakfast meeting and was in and out in 45 minutes. Very efficient and friendly staff.

Before the renovation in February 2018 the hotel was looking sort of run down, but now the hotel is wonderful and much nicer. Nothing to complain about. Good breakfast. Nice beds. Microwave and refrigerator in the room. And I love the cookies from the front desk.

We had a two day event at the DoubleTree. First night was fantastic but the second night we had problems with the food being cold and the staff was not as attentive as they were the first night.

It was a fantastic convention center with a beautiful interior and it having a starbucks was a huge plus.

I work at Ups store 2973 and had a customer come in who has been staying at the Doubletree Hotel she took a shuttle ride over to ship some boxes back to her home address and Lisa was her driver. Lisa was phenomenal between staying with the customer she was driving and engaging conversation with her while she waited in line. Lisa went back and forth from our Ups store and the Doubletree Hotel to not only make sure the customer had everything she needed to get her belongings back home but also made sure she brought both my coworker and myself a cookie each. I live in colorado springs and have not stayed at the Doubletree Hotel however I will now pick to stay at a Doubletree Hotel wherever I can find one when I travel next specifically because of Lisa's service. If you stay at the Doubletree Hotel in Colorado Springs I hope you get Lisa as your driver. Lisa has a beautiful personality and takes pride in her job as well as the cookies were amazing. She goes out of her way to make people happy and definitely deserves a raise.

Went there as part of a ANG conference. Excellent facilites and services. Extremely friendly staff especially in the dining area.

The hotel was in the middle of renovations, so I didn't get the full picture. The outdoor courtyard and restaurant looked super cute. The rooms were spacious and clean and the hotel was in a good location with plenty of stores and restaurants around the area.

Why did you post a sign saying..No longer serving Military, family and friends?

The hotel was under extensive renovations during my visit, and my room was left with unfinished door hardware and a missing bathroom fan. The other amenities offered were nice and were in good shape. The room service and house cleaning staff were very courteous.

I honestly couldn t imagine a worse shower.

The two things matter most in a hotel: bed and shower. And the shower was the worst shower I ve ever experienced. A trickle of water pressure at most. A confusing backwards nozzle. A slippery tub.

On top of it, all the lights in the rooms are bright white surgical room lights. I felt like I was at the dentist.

They get two stars only because they have balconies on every room and the cookies. Love those cookies.

They have bed bugs and would not refund my money...would not recommend

They have a sign up saying that they refuse service to military and their guests! This is so disrespectful I am so upset with double tree and all my friends around the world and family are going to put bad reviews regarding your hotel. You are a disgrace and we will never ever use double tree ever again!!! The manager of this hotel should be fired along with the staff for putting something up like this.

We purchased our room on Hotwire for $108 a night and I would have happily paid twice as much for what we got. Two Queen beds that were super comfortable and a wonderful indoor pool and hot tub made our night (and the five warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies were a wonderful welcome too). Our view wasn't too bad either. Staff was very helpful even on a very crowded holiday weekend. We have no complaints.

I travel fairly frequently and this is the nicest places I've stayed in the US. A giant pentagon, by the entrance is a bar, restaurant and Starbucks. Hosting an event? There's a banquet hall. My room opened into the center courtyard where there's plenty of green space to sit, read to host a party with a soothing water feature. There's a nice gym and pool on the first floor as well.

All within a half mile, an easy walk, is a Target and restaurants. This location literally has everything and anything you want.

Stayed here for a full month.
Amenities: The pool and hot tub was clean, warm, and welcoming. The Gym was much better than 80% of the other hotels I have stayed at. They had free weights, elliptical, bikes, tread mills, and a cable system. When I needed print capability, their printers were never short on paper. For more complicated tasks there is a Target and Office Max right across the street.

Food: Breakfast is served VIA menu or buffet style. I recommend the buffet. The food is served via cast iron pots filled with either crispy bacon, rosemary potatoes, sausages, etc.

Service: The staff was warm and welcoming. When the housekeeping noticed I drank a lot of coffee, they made sure to load up on additional cups and grounds for their next round.

I enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again.
*Note* DoD Federal Tax Free forms are not accepted at this hotel for some reason. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at that did not honor it. Odd.

Room was clean. Service was great. If you are a starbucks lover, there is one inside, the only thing is it closes at 2 or so.

Not cool that this place is represented as remodeled by Hilton. My room was far from remodeled. Room right along a loud and noisy highway, very dated decor and dirty rooms. It wasn t horrible, just wasn t very comfortable either. On my 2nd day of stay, a conference was booked on the property that overflowed the parking lot to the extent that there was not a single spot for paying guests. This was simply unacceptable and extremely aggravating. I drove around the lot twice to no avail. I wouldn t return and would note my last 3 stays with the Hilton brand were similar. Seems like it may be time to switch to Marriott.

Clean rooms, good customer service. Wished the stay would have qualified with Hilton honors.

The room was very nice and clean, everything worked well within it. The restaurant/bar area was clean, although it did take a little longer than expected to check in because there were many guests trying to check in and only one service desk open, even though they have three.

Whoever designed the layout of this hotel is evil. Have fun getting lost. Nice place, updated lobby, and friendly staff.

Came here for a military ball. The venue was great, but the drinks were expensive.
