Dirty run down room. I don't mind paying top dollar to stay in a nice hotel. We were very disappointed in the quality of the Double Tree Hotel in Colorado Springs. Run down hotel that need a face lift. I would of rather stayed at the broadmore or any other 4/5 star hotel instead of being ripped off for this run down antique. Wall paper falling off the wall, strained bed linens, lights out in bathroom, HVAC unit that was very loud, outlets that should of been changed out 10 or more years back. The place needs a new paint job threw out. Then when i did complain i was given the excuse o we are going to start our remodel program soon. I bet charging 250.00 and up a night for this run down hotel is where they are getting the money to do the renovations. Very sad indeed. You are better off staying at a super 8 or Hotel de elegance across the highway then at the double tree.
Was attending a company holiday party and experienced pretty great service.
Great hotel. Would love to see them cleanup the trash next to the lake, tons of plastic and junk
Beyond a great hotel their staff from front desk to restaurant staff to room staff just treat you special. A great place to stay.
This hotel was perfect for a one night stay I had. The room itself was quite large and had a very comfortable bed. The amenities in the room were nice add I had both a fridge and a microwave and the desk slave was sufficiently big to let me get some work done. The only downside I had to the hotel is that my room was not available by 430 when I was ready to check in. However the hosts at the front desk was incredibly hospitable and offered me a queen room to make up for the room not being ready.
It seems really nice. The mattress wasn't the most comfortable, but the pillows are nice. The rooms are spacious and I really liked the shower.
Looks like the conference rooms have been recently remodeled and the bar is very nice. However the layout of the hotel is awkward with very long walks to elevator. Also a very loud ice machine outside my door.
Scott & Amie Yancey had an event there the staff was very helpful
As always, a nice stay. Remodeled bar looks fantastic
I did not really use the services of the hotel but the staff I did interact with were very friendly!
Don't use them for your next event. Their cancellation policy is "Doesn't matter, pay for it in full or we will take you to court." I won't use their services anywhere ever again.
Bathrooms were very clean but burned my fingers on the coffee spout in the meeting room.
Excellent service from every staff member. The rooms were clean and the beds were soft. The fitness room had a decent selection of free weights, there is a laundry room available, and I used their free hotel shuttle to grab a bite to eat downtown. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms where cozy and the beds were comfy. Nice clean rooms and bathrooms, all round great place to stay
Nicely remodeled. One concern--conference goers are nickle and dimed by having to pay for wifi outside of their rooms. This should just be included in the conference room rental cost.
Nice hotel. My room was great! Well-appointed, modern, clean and pleasant. Nice little touches like a vanity kit, Keurig coffee, Crabtree & Evelyn soaps and shampoo. My only complaint about the hotel is that its architecture is dated - it looks like a concrete military structure, not as inviting as I had expected. The pool area is somewhat dated as well. Staff were very nice and very helpful, so that made up for the "looks" of the place.
Predictably good service but very strange floor plan. Seems to be designed as more of a convention center than hotel. Work out room and pool/ hot tub are clean and well-maintained. Food is pricey but generally good.
Bedbugs and roaches. Multiple health code violations. Not to mention they don t serve military or law enforcement. Will never stay here. Better choices, I promise!
The hotel staff was exceptional but I dislike the hotel it's self
Really an excellent hotel, very grateful for the service
4 because showers hot and cold were swapped in room 226. Pool and amenities were amazing
We went for a really cool kind of sci-fi art show by Christopher Clark. He had beautiful paintings and prints depicting Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, Star Wars and Marvel Comics. There were also some paintings and prints of rock icons like the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. Everyone got a free print. We had a great time!
I was there for Cosmic Comic Con and it was a blast
Pros: The price of the room is extremely reasonable. The location is convenient to the interstate and many chain restaurants and stores. The staff was courteous and the rooms are large.
Cons: The hotel is gigantic and the layout is confusing. (This would be a great place to go to a conference or have a wedding, but it's oddly oriented for just an overnight guest.)
Came for an interview. The place is absolutely gorgeous!
Excellent accommodations, friendly personable staff. Asphalt company needed more directing, more concerned about their priorities vs the customers (hotel's).
I was attending a seminar at this hotel. Upon first walking in, I was struck by the modern, clean lines, and the use of lighting in the lobby. Just beautiful! The conference room was just like any other hotel conference room.
Clean, comfortable, friendly and delicious food. We ate planning on staying here again next April 2019
Yes I see the reviews. I have been in many hotels, and worked at them also. As now I run a company that handles short term rentals on homes. I have to say the staff makes the hotel. The owners or investors can care less. They only spend money to upgrade as if they don't they will lose the branding rights. Its all about the big fat check they get and not about the guests. The staff gets paid peanuts and they make the hotel what it is. I gave 2 stars on the hotel. They should have a rating system on the staff also. Thanks JoyousVacations
Wonderful Lobby with bar great new open concept. Attended a graduation there and was very please with the place and service.
Went for prom, they put on a pretty good party, way better than my last one
Great Service, Great View, everything was fabulous!
I was at the double tree for an event. The room the event was in was clean and well kept. The grounds were emaculate, and the rest of the hotel was quite beautiful.
Not very comfortable. WiFi slow. 16 dollars for basic hotel breakfast buffet.
Workers are racist. Front desk worker: "I just want to make sure everyone is okay, because a bunch of Mexicans just walked in".
Love the way they have redone the place and the staff is top notch
I luv the beauty this place holds from the employees to the respectful and clean environment.
This place made the Antlers down town Colorado Springs look like a Motel 6!!! And that is with all the construction going On! People are super friendly and helpful!
We received a pet charge because the guest next to us heard barking dogs. We did NOT have dogs. We called to dispute the charge and they are unwilling to remove e $75 charge at this time. They need to investigate with housekeeping and follow up with accounting if they conclude we did not have a dog. The room was left in excellent condition and we did not have dogs. It is possible that the other guest heard a dog but I can guarantee you it didn t come from our room.
The good: friendly staff. The not so good: current construction at the hotel made navigation difficult. Areas of the hotel not yet remodeled show significant wear and tear. The bottom line: visiting experience may be greatly improved when remodeling is completed. Temper expectations or avoid entirely until construction is finished.
Front desk staff are not friendly. They are not welcoming and say enough to check you in and out and provide general information to get to your room and restaurant. I got no hotel information on location of gym, wifi, etc. There was no hotel information in my room to include a menu. The rooms are old. I had a beat up fridge and old microwave in my room. Every piece of furniture was worn and old. The bed was comfortable and the TV was really nice. But that's it. The walls are super thin as I could hear the person in the next room talk, use the bathroom, etc. Not impressed and expected more of Hilton.
Everything so far is good EXCEPT the dining service. The hotel staff knew there was a large group during my stay (I was an attendee for a conference) and didn't have enough staff for meals. Personally, I wait 30 minutes for a 3 piece chicken taco. When I got it, it was cold and bland. I was hungry so I ate it... Waited another 20 minutes for my bill. The tacos were appetizer size at a full meal price. Also, the meal was served on a floor tile! Ended up eating out for the duration of the conference.
Everything else was great!
Super clean. They failed to make the layout of the building guest friendly. It's hard to get to the gym/pool.
Wednesday night there is a social with food and drinks.
I asked for two beds so I could make a fort, two of the staff said they were going to come help build the fort, they never showed up.
Location: right off I25; walking close to restaurants, movie theatre, Target, World Arena Rooms: what you'd expect from a Hilton, balcony, Service: we ate the buffet breakfast and my 7 year old said the waitress was the nicest waitress we ever had. Swimming pool: big and clean and indoor, huge hot tub.
Was part of a wedding party. When we got there to check in for the wedding we were advised that the wedding coordinator was no longer with them so the stuff that was promised to the bride were not done. We also requested a modified room and we're given a room on the 5th floor the furthest away from the event as possible. I would have thought they would have had a room closer to the event on the first floor so that the person that needed the room didn't have to trek the entire hotel and through the construction to get to their room. The staff did what they could to make up for the missing wedding coordinator but for the price paid it fell short.
I before work there I don't know why I am like it because they people who are nicely and friendly.. and these good are so delicious food
was not a guest , i was inbthe conference facilities and they were great.
My wife and I stayed here while visiting. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. They even offered us a cookie when we checked in. The room was very spacious and up to date. Would definitely stay here again.
The rooms were new and very nice. The hotel was under construction which was frustrating. The pool and hot tub are very nice. The breakfast at the hotel was expensive.
Very disappointed in your treatment of the U.S. military.
Nice and large hotel. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. NO complimentary breakfast. Hotel shuttle runs only to/from airport, and does not during entire airport arrivals. Requested bed linens to be changed, and bed was made, but NOT CLEAN SHEETS.
The receptionists are very helpful. The welcome cookies are a great surprise and a nice treat especially after a flight. Great bar, and gym is decent.
The staff is super friendly, and are trying very hard to make up for all the construction going on.
Attended for a conference. The facility was nice and had good proximity to various food options. I did not stay in the hotel so cannot comment on the rooms or service from that perspective.
Great friendly staff and a beautiful location for my prom.
What a great, newly renovated hotel. Gray people here too. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Upgraded to anice room the executive floor that had a fridge and microwave. Nice view of the mountains also. Looking forward to a return stay.
Nice location and excellent staff! Had a great stay.
Nice hotel, food was EXCELLENT, room service all weekend! Room was warm, bring a fan. Enjoyed stay!
Location right off of main drag was geat and the service was great
The bed was comfortable the bathroom was not very clean over all a nice place you have to buy everything no free coffee or tea the staff was helpful
Hotel is going through renovations and the Hotel staff was no help. It was difficult to find your room, restaurant or anything else you were looking for. Hotel staff was horrible!!! Do not stay here. I guarantee you can find a better hotel for a lot less money.
Stayed there for a large group gathering and I understand why, the hotel was doing renovations and I'm sure the price was right for the seminar group. I'm sure the hotel will be nice when the updates are complete he food selection and quality for the large group was good and the rooms were nice.
One of my favorite places to stay in Colorado springs. The hotel is huge, staff is very accommodating. Our room was clean, spacious, and worth every penny. The bar and pool was amazing! Great for a romantic hotel stay and special occasions.
I didn't stay there. But any hotel that puts out a sign saying military families are not welcome cannot be a very hospitable hotel.
Super friendly staff, rooms were really clean, comfy bed, significantly better than what I was expecting from the price.
