We enjoyed our stay, great location, friendly staff & specially the morning fresh Cookies

Huge roach in my bathroom, when I told staff they told me that it probably came through the water pipes and they couldn t offer any reparations. Completely disgusted, would never stay here again.

The only thing that bothered me was internet in the rooms. A nice and functional hotel in an excellent area - not in the midst of the bustle of Midtown and there are plenty of places to eat around. Subway Station is close by.

Great price, location, highly recommend. Except need more staff at check in and check out.

FIRST VISIT: First Hilton family hotel that does not have free wifi in the room but for a fee !! Rooms adequate, although the queen felt a double bed ...
SECOND VISIT: I had to go back ... this time the wifi password gave it to me without even asking for it ... the smallness of the rooms remains, this time the exposed sink and only toilet and shower enclosed in a closet that you struggle with to enter and close the door behind you!
I had to leave my bags to go out for a few hours around the city after checking out ... maybe in the big apple it's common practice, but this is the first time I've seen this service for 2 $ / h per suitcase

I recommend this hotel because it is very close to several points of interest that can easily be reached on foot. For example: Time square, 5th Ave, Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, St Patrick Catedral, Trump tower, Tiffany and Central Parck. Also there is a Subway stop just a few steps from the hotel entrance. Internet is free only in the hall of the hotel while it is paid in the room (12 $ per day x device) free in the room only at night. Very clean, it is frequented by all the flight staff of the various airline companies, the only flaw: all the girls committed to acceptance and information are LITTLE CORDIAL, superficial in the indications, they always sulk and are NOT ATTENTIVE to the customer's need therefore They will NOT help you and will NOT make you feel at ease because they do NOT have a sense of respect but seem to be annoyed by your requests for information. However, you will have little to do with them because all the people you meet on the street will always be ready to help anyone, spontaneously even without having received an explicit request. Upon arrival, they will ask you for a deposit of $ 400 with a 200 card or a cash deposit, which will be returned upon departure. When I return to NY I will choose this hotel again for its strategic location and cleanliness. Enjoy your vacation ;-)

I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton for the most part, was only surprised when they got me plastic plates and cutlery, when I asked for plates fork and knife. It also took very long to be delivered.Thought it was impersonal.

Nice rooms, comfortable beds, great location in midtown.

We arrived a few minutes early and we have a 1 year old. Check in was fast and the front desk agent was pleasant. She let us in a few minutes early to get settled with the baby. Nice room and good location. I'd stay here again and recommend to others.

Stayed there during our visit to NYC this summer. The property is well maintained. You can pretty much forget about early check in if you're here ahead of time, considering that this place is always booked to the full.

That rooms are not soundproofed at all, so I could everything from the hall and my neighbours. Often had to wait five minutes for the shower to turn from cold water to warm, and even then it changes temperature constantly. The room is perpetually cold despite us turning up the ac.

Location is good, really close to subway station. Rooms are old, but clean.

Good basic hotel. Nice bar and free cookies at check in.

Hotel was nice enough overall, as were guest rooms. Guest bathrooms, however, need some work to fix a few minor issues.

Updated hotel. Good location right next to Subway and within walking distance of several attractions. Mattress a little firm. Love the warm cookie upon arrival.

Stayed for three days. The service was terrible. The room had no temperature control. When we checked out they said we were not allowed to take a luggage cart upstairs but also there was no bell hops to help so you are on your own. They would not get our car until we waited in a very very long list e to get a print out of the charges. No other way to print the receipt that showed we paid for the over priced parking. Would maybe stay again as it was less than $100 per night via Groupon. If you are looking for a cheap room and cheap amenities and no service. This works for that. It is nicely located for mid town activities.

Here on business. Was great. Upgraded to king size bed.

It is in a very nice area, close to rockfeller center and times square, and the Met Grill is a very good place to eat. The view from the rooms is good but not the best.

Good things: it s perfectly close to several subways (less than a minute) as well as some food stores and the check in was quick and easy. The receptionist was kind enough to even give us 24h wifi for free.

Bad things: the interior was old and worn out and we strictly had to avoid a closer look at the corners concerning cleanliness. The shower didn t work properly (water running out of all tubes instead of one at a time and the drain was blocked, so we constantly stand in the dirty shower water).
The guy at the information service was rude and seemed to be impatient. We asked if he can recommend a normal fresh food diner. Like it s known from movies. He didn t get it but was in a rush to immediately book a table for us in a super expensive restaurant (black tie only), which we clearly didn t ask for. After we gave him (an obviously well wasted) tip, he couldn t show us more clearly that we should get the hell out of his way.
Last but not least, the wifi. They ask a sum of 14 bucks something for 24h wifi. That s absolutely inappropriate. Especially considering that you get free wifi almost everywhere. Except in that hotel.

We had a serious issue with checki-in but the on-duty manager, T (first initial to protect her identity) was awesome to us! She turned my 1 star to a 3 star! I m just getting here so that may change...stay tuned...

Nice central location. Close to multiple subway lines which was convenient. Great restaurants nearby and a Duane Reade right across the street if you forget something. The rooms are updated and nice, but definitely lacking in the matienence department. There's rust in the bathrooms, wallpaper peeling from extreme heat and cold, etc. The hotel definitely needs to be maintained better, but a great stay overall.

by Hilton. When you go there you expect something good, professional. Not a rip-off or ridiculous charges.
2 dollars for storing a bag? I had six = 12 dollars (!) if you arrive earlier and want to discover the streets of Manhattan without luggage. Same for checkout (total 24 dollars !!). Internet to be charged on room rate? Welcome to the 21st century by HILTON!
Even in the cheapest hotels you get free wifi. No fridge on the room, no mini bar, no potable water. Wow! Luckily we booked without breakfast - as I read it is not worth its 30 dollars!

P.S. thank you for the nice advise having breakfast at a restaurant around the corner. They will get their comment as well - don't go there!

Great hotel on Lex in Midtown. Walking distance to just about anywhere you want to go. Subway entrance right around the corner and great breakfast spot right next door. Cute clean rooms with comfortable beds and a friendly staff. Will be back!

The hotel was really nice and updated. It was in a great location but with that comes quite a bit of noise from the street. And there is a police station and fire department right across the street so sirens aren't uncommon. I stayed on the 12th floor and still heard a lot of street noise. So if you're a light sleeper this might not be the place for you. But I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.

It was extremely hot in the room and you could not control the temperature because thermostat was broke. Also ordered a Miller lite beer and kettle one and tonic from the bar and the total was $38 for just two drinks!! The only good thing about the hotel was location.

Great location for midtown tourism. Rooms are spacious and look nice. Staff is AMAZING.

It is located in the center of New York and has a subway station nearby, so it has excellent access. Cafes and convenience stores are also nearby.

Don't bother with precheckin you will end up waiting in the lobby while everyone else gets a room. Reception staff is rude. Rooms are dirty and in need of repairs

I was working AT the hotel, but not FOR the hotel, Google Opinion Rewards. There needs to be another option.

I did not like this hotel because it smelt very stinky in my room and when I first arrived to my room there was trash in the corners ,used ear buds from the person that used my room before and there was no toilet papers in the bathroom when I got there and there was a used cup on the desk with water and covered with paper dust cover. The hotel was not a very satisfying place to stay at.

The hotel overcharged me by over $1700.00, including charges for 5 nights stay after I checked out with the front desk.

The hotel is 10 to 15 minutes from time square, this is a duane read next to the hotel. The hotel is in a good position.

Wrong mentality and business ethics. When I am staying at the hotel, the front desk told me that the WIFI in included (which hotels are not included nowadays right?). The guy told me the passcode straight away and I was using it for 5 days. Then, I checked out (didn't asked me to sign any invoices since the fee is prepaid by my company) and I checked my credit card a few days later to reimburse my expense for my biz trip, apparently they charged me for the internet fee for a day which is 16.95USD. I called the hotel again to get an explanation, what they said was the WIFI is NOT free and I should have paid for 5 days but they only charged me for a day.. Now, he is telling me completely different story as the front desk told me. What the F**!!?? You cannot trust anyone there and you never know what you get charged for. At the end, they were saying I was getting a good deal with breakfast included, etc which I have paid for. I was like nothing else to say to this manager in charge.. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Don't stay here if you expect Hilton quality, because you won't get it. Check in took 45 minutes and room wasn't ready. Front desk staff didn't care. Rooms are very worn down - peeling paint, scuffed up furniture. Only breakfast option is overpriced buffet. There are better option to stay at for this price point.

Very friendly staff, very clean comfortable rooms. Room is dark and doesn't have a whole lot of lighting.

Location excellent, with subway, restaurants and delis, pharmacies ... room and bathroom of good size (twin room). There is a minibar, a coffee maker in the rooms and a laundry room on the premises. They could remove the carpet from the rooms.

Not dirty, but the location needs refurbishing. There is clearly paint chipping and bubbling in bathrooms and around windows. We had smelled someone toking up the whole trip from our hotel and complained. Management was apologetic and bought us a round for our troubles. Other than that, it's a reasonable hotel but rooms need coffee pots to be in my mind 4 stars.

Ultra modern rooms and sizeable for a Midtown NYC hotel. Located on the east side and a short distance from trendy neighborhoods and touristy spots. The hotel itself is quiet and has a large lobby space. Beautiful decor.

Good staff, long wait to check in, bathroom set-up is very poor, washcloth on shower curtain rod when we got in room, peeled and bubbled wallpaper, and a big cob webs hanging from the ceiling

The rooms are clean, the location is perfect, good for families, Caitlyn at the front desk was so helpful!

Location is very convenient, which is locate next to the subway station. On the other hand, the problem is the operation, not enough staff at the check in peak time, especially poor hospitality from reception staff who does not allow 10 minutes earlier check in........
It could be good enough for a one night stay but you cannot expect more than it.

Room wasn't ready when we arrived. After i wait quite some time, i got a key. But on the way my room, the lady seemed in charge of room said i can't go to the room as the room has a issue. I wait for 10more minutes n i was guided to the another room. But she appologized n polite. Thx for yammy cookie so that i didn't feel boring while i was waiting. Room condition is good but no fridge in my room :(

The room was clean, but small, but I got it through Groupon, so the price was right. The hotel is a great location if you are going to be seeing sites in Manhattan. There is s subway stop right outside the door.

Room are small and out-dated but staff are extremely helpful and very friendly . Very clean hotel .Subway is across the street which will bring you LES in a couple of stops . Location is okay , there is a couple of places to grab a bite to eat and some drinks

It's a good hotel, clean and comfy, but a bit busy too. It has a perfect location, really close to some touristics spots you can go walking or the 51st subway station right on the side.

It 's clean. When you take a shower in the tub, if the water comes out, you will not get any water. Be careful. Refrigerator, water free. WIFI is good because it is free.
It is in a good location for sightseeing in New York. It is easy to get breakfast at the hotel near Fresh & Co, Paris barbecue and bagel shop. The police station is right in front of you so it is very safe :)

My family and I are Hilton Honors so we were placed on that floor (12). When we first got to the room, I noticed a good amount of mold in the shower and the door to the bathroom looked as if it had major water damage. My father complained multiple times since they said they would have someone come and take care of it, but it never happened. We ended up being moved to another room on the same floor, where the mold issue was not as bad, but the door was the same. Some of the wallpaper in the bathroom was also peeling and could see specks of mold in it. We had also asked for a refrigerator multiple times, and it took them two days for it to be delivered. At some point we had talked to the manager, who was very helpful, and gave us what we needed as soon as possible. The service in the hotel was okay with everyone we talked to, and the housekeeping staff was friendly. The hotel is right next to the 6 station, and about four minutes to an e station (those are the ones we primarily used). When walking, it s about 20-25 minutes from the downtown area, which was easier than having to take the train for us. It just needs major upgrades.

Clean room, but very small for the price you pay. With your luggage you feel congested inside your room.

Dusty rooms, paint chipping on bathroom ceiling. Dated interiors, archaic switching, poor lighting. First room was so bad I called the front desk to switch. Instead of paint chipping on the bathroom ceiling in the first bedroom, the second room had pink mold on the bathroom ceiling, and very dusty. There are much better options in this big city for less money. With all of the dust and poor condition of the bathrooms it makes me worry about the cleanliness of the whole hotel.

Great location, clean and comfy beds, walls are thin and you can hear the doors to other rooms closing loudly. Honestly can t beat the location! Subway nearby, easy walk to food and a Duane reed on the corner of you forget something. Across the street is the gorgeous and historic GE building, down the street a few blocks is grand central and the Chrysler building.

Pretty good hotel in a really good location. The staff is personable, but not amazing. Everything is clean!

Room is dated and not cleaned well. Wall cracked above window. Windows have nose and fingerprint marks. Obviously not cleaned. Towel in bathroom had a long black hair on It! Wall art in bathroom has soap spots and drips....again, not cleaned. Metal around sink not clean. Musty smell. This was supposed to be a "king suite" they "upgraded" us to. Give me a break! Woman at front desk was nice and good midtown location....only reason I didn't give it 1 star. Won't ever be back though.

**Great location**, mediocre rooms, similar to Premier Inn in UK. Don't expect basic room service if you don't tip the chamber maids daily. Even when you do tip don't expect refreshment refills as you'd expect in UK hotels. That being said, location made up for poor service, so as long as expectations aren't too high, this option is satisfactory.

Simple lodgings, not a lot of amenities. Skip the breakfast buffet, it's rather pricey for the common food. Real strength is the location. Right next to the subway, so exploring was easy and fun. Drug store and natural food restaurant next door. Best soup I've had in ages!
